A Break Pt 3
In the girl's bathroom, Gwen was unaware of what was happening. After making sure Yuki and she were the only ones inside, she decided to get straight to the point.
"Yuki, I know you're a Demi-Human." Gwen said with her arms crossed.
Hearing that caused Yuki's face to freeze in shock for a moment, before she panicked.
"W-What?! What are you talking about?! I'm not a… thing you just said." Yuki said with a nervous smile.
Gwen sighed before deciding to demonstrate her own powers.
Holding her hand out, Gwen's eyes glowed pink as she levitated and created a mana ball that appeared in her hand, which disappeared once she returned to the floor.
Yuki stares in surprise.
"Are… are you a-"
"A Demi-Human too? No. My powers are different… but still, I want you to know that you don't have to hide that from Danny." Gwen said with a smile.
"Does he know?" Yuki asks.
"He does. You should ask him what he's hiding." Gwen said with a smile.
Yuki, hearing that, started to think.
Hikari did say that Danny was probably hiding something from what she overheard. Does that mean he might have powers too? She wondered mentally.
"What's he hiding?" Yuki asks.
"That's his secret, not mine. And don't worry…" Gwen put a hand on her shoulder. "It's not gonna be a problem."
As Gwen left the bathroom, Yuki was left looking at her hands that she just washed.
"Should I tell him? I mean… it's not like I know any other guys I like. Satake is just a friend…" She said.
In Japan
A young Japanese boy with brown hair suddenly sneezed as he was in bed.
"Huh… someone out there must be talking about me." He said before smiling in an almost perverted manner. "Must be Kusakabe…"
Back with the authors
"So, what do you guys wanna do for now?" NeoMark asks.
"Well... we could check out Lars and Cobles." FP11 said.
"FP... again... my story. Plus, we're out of the office." NeoMark said.
"Oh, okay. Barnes & Noble it is." FP11 said.
"We could go to Starbucks for coffee there!" Deadpool said, earning an 'Are you serious?' glare from FP. "Never mind..."
As that went on, one certain author simply shook his head.
"Do you really want to repeat what happened last time?" 61394 asked incredulously.
"You're the reason I can't eat any chimichangas!" Deadpool accused, blaming the author instead of himself for not being allowed to eat his favorite food.
"Okay, that's enough, children." NeoMark said.
Back with Danny and Ben.
"So, that's something your arch-foe uses?" Ben asks.
"Yeah. It's a spy drone that fruitloop Plasmius likes to use to spy on people, namely me." Danny explained. "But I haven't heard from him since his last plan involving someone I consider family." Danny said as he examined the robotic insect.
"How dangerous is he?" Ben asked
"Very. He's got my powers but with twenty years more experience with them. Long story short, he blames my dad for the accident that got him his powers, despite putting his face right in the thing's range, but he's only upset that it made him unable to marry my mom… who pretty much just sees him as my dad's friend."
"Do you think he's spying on you or me?" Ben asked.
Danny shrugged as he had no idea.
"Could be, if he's been spying on me the entire time. Then again, you coming here wasn't exactly something you planned ahead, right?" Danny asks.
"Right. We were just hanging when I saw Ami. We figured we'd just hang out here in town see the sights and get some food." Ben whispered to him.
Danny nodded, relieved that the alien invaders Ben was dealing with weren't operating in his town, though that didn't answer his question
"What exactly is 'his honor', Mayor Fruitloop, up to?" He asked.
Elsewhere
The train station of Amity Park was busy as usual during the days of summer. Due to the season, and the town being a literal ghost town, the trains were packed, with people coming or going.
One train in particular had arrived, and among the passengers leaving, there were four in particular who stepped out. A family of four, a tall and broad man, a woman with short hair and large hips, a small boy, and a certain skinny girl. That girl was Violet Parr.
"This the town, Vi?" The woman asks.
"Yeah…" She said in a defeated tone.
"Why so glum? Isn't us knowing about him a good thing?" The grown man of the group asks.
"Not when it's caused by some bug that was on my bag!" She complained.
"So, you sure that Violet's new boyfriend is gonna give us help?" The boy asks in a somewhat mocking tone.
"He's not my boyfriend!" Violet snapped.
"Even so, if he's who you said he is… he'll probably need our help too." The eldest woman of the group insisted.
As the four left, another train arrived. Out came a strawberry blonde in a familiar outfit, carrying that same duffel bag. Behind her was a familiar man with sunglasses.
"We're here!" She said, giggling and clasping her hands together so happily.
"Yeah yeah…" Her much grumpier companion said. "Don't forget… we're here because that weird bug thing we spotted right after Danny left."
"Right… right… doesn't mean I can't be happy to see him again!" She insisted.
"Whatever, Kula… let's just meet up with Maxima at the rendezvous point later." He insisted as they went out to find Danny, just like the group that arrived earlier.
With the authors
At the Barnes & Noble, there were a few people doing some window shopping as two in particular went into the children's literature section.
"Ah, a collection of the entire Harry Potter series. And check it, Hermione looks like a less pretty Emma Watson." Deadpool said in approval to book accuracy of the illustrations.
"Why does your comment fill me with dread?" BCFW took a step away.
"So, do you know the book versions or the movie versions, Deadpool?" FP11 asked when the rest came and joined them.
"The latter as they're a visual medium." Deadpool said.
"I was introduced to the movies first and didn't read the books until after Deathly Hallows part one." 61394 said before shrugging. "Took me a week, give or take."
"Too bad you don't write as fast as you read." Deadpool snarked
"So, how did you get Draco Malfoy to give you those jelly beans?" NeoMark asks. Deadpool raised his head at him. "Who else could you have been alluding to?"
"Oh, well, he always had something of a crush on Hermione… he just couldn't cope with the idea she was everything he was raised to hate. By the time he gave up his bigotry, he was too late." Deadpool said. "You should see how his father's doing. The most recent stuff involving Hermione is in 2020, where she became Minister of Magic. He's upset but also going through a Judge Claude Frollo phase…" Deadpool said.
"As in… his extreme bigotry towards Esmeralda's people?" FP11 asks.
"As in… how Frollo felt about Esmerelda." Deadpool said.
"Yeah…I ended up not finishing the series. So…I have no idea what's going on…" BCFW said.
"Oh god, I didn't need to hear that." 61394 said.
"It sounds like those super dark and overly "mature" Harry Potter stories from the early noughties." NeoMark said.
"Thankfully, he is wise enough to know better than to make a pass at a married woman young enough to be his daughter and chose to keep him finding her attractive now to himself." Deadpool said with a nod, calming everyone down. "Just kidding… he made a pass at her after an argument with his wife, she rejected him fast and had a hex on him so that he is never within 100 ft of her unless he wants to go back to Azkaban…" Deadpool said quickly.
"... [redacted]..." NeoMark went.
"You said it." 61394 said. "Why are you poking around a universe with Harry in it?"
"Don't ask." Deadpool responded.
"So… change of topic to something less unsettling. How do you think the break arc is going? Any ideas of previous date cameos? This timeline or original?" BCFW asked with a smirk. "I'd put my money on someone like Batgirl, Bloom, or even an enemy like Icy or Torelai…"
"We'll find out when we finish with our break." NeoMark said before a thought came to him. "So… what dates from the old one did you think of making a return? I had Emma, who did you think of?" He asks FP11.
"Oh. Katie, Daria, Diana… hmm… who was the last one?" She asks herself.
"Would have been fun if Danny had another date with an X-Man, but that's probably what I would've done." 61394 said.
"Ok, so…" NeoMark then looked at FP11. "Who did YOU think of last?"
With Danny
He and Yuki were inside Amity Park Mall, with Ben and his friends behind them.
Yuki couldn't help but notice the glances Danny sent toward the group, almost as if signaling for something.
As they went to different stores, Yuki couldn't help but think they were up to something. That, or Danny was hoping to hit on Gwen when he got the chance.
He's so fixated on that girl. Although, we're not on a date or anything, just hanging out. She thought, somewhat jealous yet shaking her head to get her mind off it.
"You okay, Yuki?" Danny asks, noticing her head shaking.
"Oh! Uh… Y-Yeah! Yeah." Yuki went with a fake smile to hide her thoughts.
As Danny nodded, Yuki looked away and had a serious look on her face.
Okay… Phantom will probably say no because he's a superhero. He's probably more into girls like Kim Possible than me… so, maybe I should try and make a move on Danny? She thought.
With that, she cleared her throat before seeing Danny was now halfway to the store's exit as he was waving to her.
Danny was about to ask her where to go next when someone taller than them almost knocked into them.
"My bad!" She said.
"No no." Danny went before getting a good look at her. "Sam? Wait… no."
The girl before him was too tall to be Sam. She dressed Goth, but her hair was a turquoise color.
"It's Gwen." She said with an eyebrow raised.
"Small world…" Danny couldn't help but say under his breath with a smile. "Anyway, sorry about that."
"No, it's cool." Gwen, not Tennyson, said as she walked away before seeing where she came from.
That gave Danny an idea.
"Let's check out the next store, Yuki! It's a bookstore!" He said.
Yuki sighed before hiding it with a smile.
"Alright." She said before following him. However, once she was out, she felt a pair of arms wrap around her and bite her shoulder. "Huh?!"
*kachi-kachi-kachi-kachi*
Danny turned his head to see someone holding onto Yuki, nobbling on her shoulder.
"Hey!" Danny went.
Ben's team took notice of this too and were about to step in, only to notice Yuki wasn't acting like she's in danger. Instead, she was laughing at being nibbled on.
"Hikari! Stop!" She laughed.
Danny recognized this girl as Yuki's friend, Hikari.
"Sorry, couldn't help myself." She went as she stopped, grinning before seeing Danny and saluting him like a soldier. "Sup!"
Ben, Gwen and Kevin shared uncertain looks before they saw Danny motioning with a smile to indicate that she's friendly.
"Friend of yours, Yuki?" Gwen asks.
"I sure as heck am!" Hikari went excitedly before making an almost interested look at Gwen. "And who is this ravishing redhead?"
"I'm Gwen Tennyson, and I dated Danny before Yuki did." Gwen said politely.
"Hikari?" Danny asks.
"Sup." Hikari went. "I see Yuki's still keen on you."
As Yuki turned red from that, one thing was on her mind.
"What are you doing here?" Yuki asks.
"My new friend Tucker-kins gave me a hand with something I wanted to bring to my sister as a souvenir… so he gave me a hand. I also got you one." Hikari said with a wink, taking out her bag to reveal two Danny Phantom t-shirts.
Yuki blushed hard.
"Oh… th-thanks…"
"Tucker hung out with you?" Danny asks.
"Yeah, you know him?" Hikari asks.
"Tucker Foley is my best friend." Danny explained.
"Oh, small world." Hikari went.
"Um...Danny?" Yuki asked shyly as she pulls herself out of Hikari's grasp.
"Yeah?" Danny asked.
Yuki gulped slightly, knowing she had to tell him the truth about her.
"I need to tell you something..." She said shyly, hoping he'd still like her after this.
"What is it?" Danny asked.
"I'm a-" Yuki went, only for Hikari to cut her off.
"Oh, you're gonna tell him?! You're not gonna ask what his secret is?" Hikari went, much to Yuki's shock.
"Hikari!" Yuki went.
"Huh?" Danny went, surprised to hear that.
"You should ask him his secret too..." Hikari whispered to Yuki.
"Huh?" Yuki said, only for her friend to push her towards Danny.
Literally. She was pushed right into Danny.
"You'll thank me later..." Hikari said with a cheeky smile.
As Ben and his friends watched, Kevin couldn't help but find what Hikari was doing rather amusing.
"I like this girl…" He said, much to Gwen's annoyance.
Yuki was unsure but smiled nervously.
"Sorry… Hikari… likes to be super playful…" She said to Danny as an apology.
"It's cool. Also… what secret?" Danny asks, nervous that they were catching onto him.
"Apparently, Hikari overheard something Kasugano-san was talking about. Something about fighting" Yuki said.
"Fighting? Oh, uh… I just… want to learn how to fight… that's all." Danny said with a nervous smile.
"Really?" Yuki asks.
"Yeah… that's why… I asked you about the Street Fighter tournament when we met." Danny lied with a smile.
Although Yuki looked like she accepted this, Hikari stepped in and lightly pushed her aside.
"Hold on! What about her mentioning your secret weapon?!" She asks.
Danny blinked, trying to come up with an answer in a split second.
"I just threw a rock at a guy…" He lied.
Hikari inched closer and studied his face, she did not look like she believed him.
Uh… is she a Demi too? Can she read minds? He thought.
Hikari then pulled back and had a mischievous smile on her face.
"Whatever you're hiding, it must be juicy!" She went before running off giggling.
Yuki shook her head in disapproval before turning to face Danny.
"Really sorry about that…" She said.
"It's fine." Danny assured her as he realized how long it's been since seeing the robot bug.
He was still waiting for his arch-enemy to strike and yet nothing.
Where is he? If he's been watching this whole time, he'd have known I caught on by now. He thought.
"D-Danny?" Yuki said shyly, getting his attention.
"Uh...what is it, Yuki?" Danny asked, trying to act normal!
"I need to tell you something. Gwen said you know about her powers, so… I figure that… it's okay to tell you." Yuki went as she looked to her feet and her hands clasped together. "I'm… I'm a De-
"Yuki...I already know you're a Demi-Human..." Danny said, making her gasp.
"You...you know?! How?!" Yuki asked.
"I...overheard you talking with Danny Phantom. I was looking for you when you spoke to him and you said you're a… yuki-something..." Danny lied.
"You knew all this time...and still wanted to hang out with me?" Yuki asked in shock.
"Well, yeah...why wouldn't I? I'm not a bigot. You're a cool girl...no pun intended, and you're also pretty..." Danny said sincerely.
Hearing this made Yuki smile in relief and also feel a warmth in her cheeks.
What a relief… She thought, finding herself becoming more fond of this boy.
"Huh… he knew already. That's neat. I bet Teach would love to meet this guy…" Hikari, having overhead them, said out loud.
"Hikari!" Yuki went in annoyance as Hikari grinned.
Danny laughed at this little bit of comedy when someone else spotted him.
"Danny!" This person called out to him.
Danny turned around and saw yet another familiar face. One who raised her arm and waved for him to approach.
"Violet?" He asked.
"You know that girl?" Yuki asks.
"Yeah, she was my 10th date. Didn't think I'd see her again so soon…" Danny commented.
Violet approached them, smiling at finding him.
"Danny, I was hoping to find you. I need to speak with you." Violet said before gesturing away. "Sorry to interrupt but it's important." Danny raised an eyebrow before Violet pulled something out of her pocket. "Does this look familiar?" She asks.
Danny took a close look at what it was, recognizing it.
"I know this robo-bug." He whispered to her.
Violet nodded as she gestured to him to follow her.
"Come on." She said.
As she walked away, Danny turned his head to see Yuki, along with Hikari and Ben & friends.
"I'll be right back." He said as he walked with Violet, several feet away.
Yuki felt a slight annoyance as she pouted, puffing her cheeks as she watched Danny and the girl walk away, as Hikari slid in and had a naughty smile on her face.
"Ooh! Competition!" She went, much to Hikari's annoyance.
"Heheheh… I like this girl even more." Kevin admitted, seeing Hikari being a bit of a troll.
"Who was that girl?" Ben asks.
"I don't know… but she had the same robot in her hand as the one you both found." Gwen whispered.
With Danny.
Once he was far enough, he followed Violet to where three people were waiting for her.
One was a tall, muscular Middle aged man with blonde, deciding hair and blue eyes. One was a middle aged woman with fair skin, rosy cheeks, as well as brown eyes and brunette hair.. And the last one was a little kid with blonde hair, blue eyes and freckles, who most likely had to be their son.
"Danny, these are my parents, Bob and Helen, and one of my brothers, Dash." Violet introduced them.
"Uh hi…" Danny went nervously as Bob approached, judging the boy.
"This is him? He's a lot scrawnier than I expected." Bob responded in a somewhat dismissive tone.
"Bob… remember what we talked about." Helen said through her teeth before laughing nervously. "Very nice to meet you, Danny."
"Uh… hi?" Danny went before looking at a sheepish Violet. "A little early to meet your parents, isn't it?" He asks.
"Cut the cracks, kid." Bob went, looking rather stern. "We know that you know about Violet's… umm… extracurriculars." He said, emphasizing that word.
Danny raised an eyebrow before seeing Violet using her fingers to make a sort of mask-like gesture that she put over her eyes.
"That… she wears glasses?" He asks.
Violet groaned as her arms swung down.
"I'm a super…" She whispered to make sure no one heard her.
"Oh… right…" Danny went.
"So… she thinks you might have an idea on that strange bug thing that followed her bus home." Bob went.
"Why would I know about… those?" Danny asks.
"The fact that you followed her means you-" Helen was about to answer when a loud groan came from behind.
"I don't see any ghosts! If I knew it'd be boring, I'd have stayed with Jack-Jack with Edna Mode." Dash complained.
"Dash, remember our talk." Helen reminded him with a stern look before clearing her throat. "Look… we know you're Danny Phantom." She said.
Danny flinched before looking at a sheepish Violet with a disapproving look in his eyes.
"You told them?" He asks.
"She didn't have to." Bob went, getting in Danny's view of Violet. "A friend of ours in the NSA has been… keeping an eye on Violet to make sure her secret doesn't get blown. So far, you're the only boy who knew. All we knew was that she was spotted in costume by a spy with Danny Phantom on a rooftop. Considering her date's name was Danny Fenton, we kind of put two and two together."
"Oh…" Danny went.
"I'm sorry… I didn't even know they'd ask for someone to tail me… until last night." Violet went as she glanced at her parents with much anger in her eyes.
"In any case… what is this? We have reason to think there were others since we've been waking up to find strands of our hair in our pillows and, when we finally spotted one, it took strands of Violet's hair." Helen said.
Danny was about to answer when someone spotted him.
"DANNY!" A familiar girl's voice went.
Danny felt someone hugging him from behind, someone that had a very low body temperature..
"Yuki?" He asks before realizing how strong these arms felt.
"Guess again..." A coy voice was heard.
"Kula?" Danny said, recognizing her voice.
"You guessed right!" She went, letting him go before hugging him tightly and with a childish smile on her face.
Danny waited until she stopped to see her back in that same outfit she wore during their date before K' showed up.
"Uh… hi." Danny went.
"Who's she?" Violet asks, a hint of jealousy in her voice.
She quickly noticed her parents and brother were aware of her tone. She pulled back, looking a tad embarrassed. Her father looked at her in disapproval, whereas her mother and brother both looked amused, albeit for different reasons. One because she found her daughter's interest in Danny endearing, the other to find something to make fun of later.
"This is Kula. She's another date… though she was all the way in South Town in Florida." Danny said, surprised. "Wait, your uncle let you come here?" Danny asks.
"Oh, no… He said I can only go if…" Kula rolled her eyes in the direction of her companion. "... he tagged along."
K' walked up to Kula's side, looking at Danny as rudely as ever.
"Hey, Punk." K' said, sounding as unfriendly as he did the last time.
"Sup…" Danny said, realizing K' doesn't want to be here.
"As soon as I found out today was our day off from dating, I just knew I had to come see you!" Kula gushed.
"Uh… I still have 4 dates left, so it's too soon to decide." Danny said.
"I know… but this is so much fun! We can get ice cream! And see the sites! And get ice cream! And go shopping! And get ice cream!" Kula went cheerfully, something Danny forgot how endearing it was.
"Kula." K' said sharply, getting her attention.
"And I thought Dash was hyperactive…" Violet muttered to her mother, who nodded.
"I can hear you, you know!" Dash went.
"Anyway… remember why we're here for your boyfriend." K' reminded her.
"He's not m- oh yeah…" Kula said as she looked through her phone.
"What'd you bring?" Danny asks.
"Any idea what this is?" Kula asked, as she showed him a picture of the robotic bug.
Danny took a close look at what she took a picture of, something he didn't think she would find.
"Where did you see that robot?" Danny asks.
"Me and K both found these stupid things the day after we had our date...and the weird part is that I think it took a sample of my blood..." She said.
"Blood?" Danny said, not liking the sound of that.
"She saw a small red dot on her arm that suggested someone sampled her blood. Since this started after she met you… we figure this was your fault." K' said bluntly.
"K'!" Kula went, elbowing him on the side. "I told you! Don't be rude to him!" She insisted before going back to being sweet to Danny. "So, do you know what these things are? They kind of left before I figured what was going on. We just thought they were things Uncle Max was toying with before he told us he never saw them before."
Danny looked between the two parties and figured there was no harm in telling them what he knew.
"So… here's an abridged take, you all know my secret identity." Danny said.
This caught both parties by surprise, all looking at each other in surprise before looking at Danny.
"For someone with a secret identity, you suck at keeping it a secret." K' said bluntly.
"He's not wrong." Bob said.
"Yeah…" Danny responded with an unamused look on his face before an idea came to him. He looked back to everyone else from afar. "Ben! Can you, Kevin and Gwen come here?"
Ben and his friends shrugged as they approached, leaving Hikari and Yuki alone.
"Why not me?" Yuki went, feeling a bit hurt.
"Oh… what juicy secrets are they hiding?" Hikari went before a mischievous snicker came from her. "Wanna sneak in and overhear them?" She asks eagerly to Yuki.
"No!" Yuki went with a blush before her face had a defeated look. "Yes…"
With Danny.
"So… to make a long story short… my arch-enemy must have been spying on me during the entire time." Danny said.
As all three parties have been caught up, theories were being tossed around as questions rose.
"I get you… but what would he want with Kula's blood?" K' asks.
"Or my hair?" Violet asks.
"Wait… Gwen?" Ben asks, getting her attention. "You didn't see these things or sensed them, did you?"
"I didn't see anything and, since they don't have mana, I can't detect them. I bet with time I could sense these ectoplasmic energies… but still, if this Vlad guy's been spying and taking DNA from them, we'll have to assume he did the same from me." Gwen responded.
As they spoke, Hikari and Yuki watched from afar, the former having a pair of binoculars as they hid behind a trash bin that was not far from the groups.
"What're they saying?" Yuki asks.
"Beats me…" Hikari went in a very hushed tone.
"But you said you could read lips?!"" Yuki reminded her.
"I lied… thought it sounded cool." Hikari went.
"Then why did you buy those things?!" Yuki went in anger, pointing to the binoculars.
"I... just wanted them to look cool..." Hikari admitted with a small yet still playful smile, noticing that Yuki seemed to be pouting. She couldn't help but to pat her friend's head in a comforting manner. "Don't worry, we'll save your relationship with Danny."
As that went on, Danny looked to all of those who knew he was Danny Phantom.
Suddenly, a blue wisp escaped from Danny's mouth, catching their attention.
"Uh oh." Danny said as he looked around.
"Getting cold there, kid?" Bob asked with a raised eyebrow.
"It's worse than that." Danny said in a panic as he turned to everyone. "You guys might want to change into your special work clothes."
"I'm a kid, I don't go to work." Dash said with a look.
"You know, you're as smart as the Dash I know." Danny said in a deadpanned voice.
"He means our super suits, Dash" Violet said as she pushed her family to somewhere private.
"Ooooh, that makes sense." Dash said before he raised an eyebrow. "Wait, he said there's another Dash in town? Is he cool?" Danny didn't respond with anything but a glare. "Why are you quiet?"
"So, what are we facing?" Ben asked as he looked around the mall.
"Shouldn't we evacuate the mall?" Gwen asked with a worried look.
"Why?" Kevin asked. "I mean, we never do, and the people managed to escape without getting hurt."
"I mean, that's mostly because we're taking the brunt of the ones causing the damage, which is both a good and bad thing." Danny said in agreement. Suddenly, there was a loud, girlish scream. "Speaking of which."
Suddenly, everyone from the mall started running and screaming as Vlad's three feathery minions flew around the mall, scaring people and trashing kiosks.
"Those are the ghosts?" Ben said, feeling a little disappointed. "I thought they'd be cooler looking."
"I'll show you cool!" Another voice went.
Suddenly, the electronic store beside them started glowing before it burst apart, with a lot of the electronic devices merging and creating a giant robot. The giant TV on the head turned on, showing the face of Technus.
"Okay, now that's more like it." Ben said.
"Finally, someone with good taste!" Technus said as he started flexing his robotic arms.
"And it's back to being underwhelmed." Gwen said with a deadpan voice.
"A fool like that can easily be handled." K' said, tilting his shades a little.
"Then how about an expert hunter?" A voice said behind him.
Surprised, K' turned around and suddenly, a metal hand grabbed his neck. The last thing he saw was Skulker's grinning face before they flew away, right to the second floor.
"K'!" Kula exclaimed as she ran after him.
"So, Vlad sent the three stooge pigeons, a talkative robot, and a mini-pest with issues." Danny said, cracking his knuckles. "This won't take long."
Suddenly, purple flames erupted from the ceiling. An intimidating figure landed around the debris, the purple flame on his helmet burning as bright as his intimidating green eyes.
"Do you wish for a moment to rethink that?" Fright Knight said, pulling his sword from his back.
"Okay, this might be a problem." Danny said before making sure Yuki and Hikari were nowhere in sight, that's when his eyes glowed green. "I'm Going Ghost!"
The white halo appeared between his waist and traveled across his body, transforming into Phantom.
Little did he know, both Yuki and Hikari just witnessed what happened.
"HUH?!" They went in unison.
"Pfft, look at that, he's got a battle cry." Kevin whispered to Gwen. "Lame, right?"
Gwen raised an eyebrow before gesturing at Ben, who was dialing the Omnitrix.
"It's Hero Time!" He exclaimed, slamming the dial. In a burst of light, Ben turned into a giant, dinosaur-like alien with green eyes. "Humongosaur!"
"…Okay, you got me there," Kevin said with a deadpan tone as he went to touch the floor tiles to use their material to transform.
"Hang on. Here, try this." Danny said as he pulled out the Fenton Thermos and tossed it to Kevin, who caught it.
"Wow, nice tech." Kevin said as he looked at the thermos. "What race is this from?"
"My parents." Danny replied.
"You mean this was made on Earth?" Kevin said, shocked to hear this.
"Isn't that for soup?" Humongosaur asked before he was blindsided by Technus.
Kevin absorbed the metal from the Fenton Thermos, his body covered in gray and white with green linings. He then charged at Technus with Gwen behind him, her hands and eyes glowing purple.
Danny then turned to Fright Knight, the two circling each other. Fright Knight hefted his sword, lining it up with his shoulders as Danny's hands glowed green. With a roar, the two charge as they both attack, glowing blade meeting glowing fist.
Meanwhile, the Incredibles rushed out of the abandoned clothes store, all wearing their uniforms. They saw that most of the people had left the mall, with a few of them hiding safely.
"Now, let's see what all this fuss is about." Bob said as he and his family ran through the mall before they spotted the three vultures. "That's what he fights every day? Gotta say, Sweetie, not that tough looking."
"Dad, not the time or place to judge him." Violet said with a deadpan tone.
"I'm just saying, a boy having trouble with birds doesn't seem like a good boyfriend." Bob said. "Or a good superhero."
"Bob, remember our talk." Helen said with a sigh.
"Okay, okay, just saying, that's all." Bob said before he grabbed a kiosk and threw it at the vultures. He didn't expect the kiosk to harmlessly go through the ghosts. The vultures stopped their rampage and turned their attention to the family. "Huh…Wasn't expecting that."
"Well, they are ghosts, Dad." Dash said.
"Aw, look, a family activity, so cute." The lead vulture said. "I remember when I was with my family."
"Didn't you throw them off a cliff?" The one with shades asked.
"I was teaching them to fly, featherbrain!" The lead snapped.
"You said they were sleeping, if I recall." The other vulture said.
"…Anyway, let's get them!" The lead vulture exclaimed.
The vultures rushed at the family, who stood ready. Elastigirl tried to throw a punch, but her fist harmlessly passed through them. Mr. Incredible jumped up and tried to grab the lead bird, but not only did the bird phase through, it then used its sharp talons and grabbed the older hero on the back and started flying around the mall, slamming him into the beams.
"Dad! Are you okay!?" Dash called as he ran after them.
"I'm-ow!-fine-ack!-Dash-gah!" Mr. Incredible exclaimed as he kept slamming into walls while trying to get free.
Meanwhile, Elastigirl kept trying to hit the birds, but couldn't. She suddenly released a painful yelp as one of the vulture's talons cut her.
"Ow, that stings." She said, holding her wound. "How are we going to beat them when we can't touch them?"
"Too bad for you, toots." a vulture said before it rushed towards her with the other one following. Elastigirl braced herself before a forcefield appeared in front of her, causing the two birds to splat onto it.
Dazed, the two birds didn't see Violet throw her arms out, pushing the forcefield out and throwing the two away.
"Wow, I didn't think that would work." Violet said as she dispersed the forcefield.
"Nice work, Sweetie." Elastigirl said before she heard her husband's yelps of pain.
They turned and saw the vulture still carrying Mr. Incredible, with Dash running after them, throwing whatever he could get his hands on to help his dad, but it wasn't really helping, since his projectiles kept going through the bird and hitting his dad.
"Ow! Dash, stop throwing!" Mr. Incredible exclaimed as a pair of steel-tipped heels smack his head.
Violet raised her hands and created a forcefield around the bird, surprising it as it slammed onto the semi-invisible wall, causing it to let go of Mr. Incredible, who screamed as he saw himself falling towards a clothing store.
"Bob/Dad!" his family exclaimed as they ran to the store.
They watched as Mr. Incredible stumbled out of the store, wearing an oversized gown with flower patterns, a pink hat with a giant feather, and a red boa. He saw his family holding their laughter as he looked down on what he was wearing.
"That's a good look, Dad." Violet said as Dash doubled down.
"Hahaha." Mr. Incredible said as he removed the clothes.
Suddenly, the lead vulture appeared from the ground and grabbed Violet, surprising them. The other two vultures surrounded the rest and circled around them, flying very fast, trapping them.
"This might be harder than we thought…" Elastigirl said as she reached out and grabbed her daughter, pulling her free from the bird's talons.
On the second floor, Kula ran after Skulker and K', trying to get closer. After being satisfied with the distance, Kula jumped onto a fake tree, using it to propel herself towards Skulker as she made a giant ice ball.
She threw it and watched with a smirk as it hit Skulker's jetpack, freezing it, causing him to crash land on the ground, with K' rolling on the ground to avoid getting hurt.
"Bullseye!" Kula cheered as she landed beside K'.
"You could have hit him more carefully when he was carrying me." He said, looking unamused as she shrugged.
"You wouldn't have gotten hurt by that, unless you think I'm stronger than you." She said cheekily.
The two of them became alert as Skulker stood up, looking at them with a bloodthirsty grin.
"I must say, this is a good day for a hunt, I'll be needing a new trophy case." He said as he looked at the two fighters. "A family of super-powered humans, alien hybrids, and you people. Though the Whelp is still at the top of my list."
"You have issues, you know that?" Kula asked as she and K' got into their fighting stance. "If you haven't beaten Danny, then you can't defeat me."
"Oh, I wouldn't be so sure of that, girl." Skulker said with a grin.
Suddenly, a blast of loud sound hit the two from behind, sending them on the ground. They quickly recovered and saw who attacked them.
"Hmph, so this is one of the girls who Dipstick was dating? Seriously?" Ember questioned harshly, giving Kula an unimpressed look.
"Don't tell me you're still jealous, and you desire my prey?" Skulker groaned.
"I am not!" Ember exclaimed, her hair blazing wildly.
Suddenly, she ducked when a giant ice ball flew towards her. She glared at Kula, sparks flying between the two. K' slowly took a step away from her before he turned his attention to Skulker. He gestured with his head for the ghost to follow him, which he did.
"Let's let the ladies sort this out, metalhead." K' said.
"Fine… your pelt alone will look just as good on my wall." Skulker said as the two proceeded to fight.
"You're about to get rocked, girly." Ember said, hefting her guitar.
"Wow, a punk girl acting tough, how cliché." Kula said, making Ember growl.
"I hope you don't cry from breaking a nail!" Ember exclaimed as she rushed towards Kula, lifting her guitar. Kula threw a kick with ice erupting from the ground, meeting the guitar, causing a small shockwave.
Humongosaur was pushing Technus back, having grown to match the ghost robot's size. He threw a punch that hit Technus' chest that sent the robot stumbling back. He quickly recovered and retaliated with a shoulder tackle, which Humongosaur tried to push back. Humongosaur then slammed both his fists on the robot's jaw before he started pushing him, which Technus countered as he dug his heels on the ground.
"Give up, little dinoboy! I, Technus, Master of All Things Electronic, won't lose to you, not with my funky fresh robot swag!" Technus exclaimed.
"You talk too much!" Humongosaur exclaimed in irritation.
As Humongosaur kept the robot busy, Kevin and Gwen were on its back, trying to dismantle it somehow.
"Wow, for something that was put together earlier, it's hard to break." Kevin said, going for the robot's shoulder joints. He kept punching and punching, but he barely made a dent. "How's your end going?"
"Still working on it." Gwen said, focusing as she used her powers to slowly undo the joints of the robots. She had to agree with Kevin, this pile of junk was put together too well. "And…there!"
She managed to loosen the right shoulder, surprising Technus. Kevin quickly tore it off, disarming the robot.
"Hey!" Technus exclaimed in shock as the other shoulder suddenly got loose as well, which Humongosaur tore off, leaving the robot armless. "What's going on!?"
Suddenly, the head started getting loose, and Kevin immediately punched it, leaving it dangling on the neck. Disarmed and disoriented, Technus didn't see Humongosaur delivering a giant uppercut that sent the robot flying off its feet, landing on the ground.
Technus groaned before the robot broke apart, turning back into appliances, now broken and damaged.
"We're not gonna pay for that, right?" Kevin asked as the three surrounded Technus, with Humongosaur turning back into Ben.
"If they sue us, we can always ask Uncle Frank for help." Ben joked. "So, we beat him, now what?"
"Now, it's time for round two!" Technus exclaimed from the pile of appliances before something green flew out of it, and straight into Ben. Shocked, Ben covered himself with his arms, the green spark hitting the Omnitrix.
Ben looked at the device as it started glowing and releasing green sparks. Suddenly, Technus' face appeared on the screen with a massive grin.
"What the heck!?" Ben exclaimed as he started shaking the Omnitrix. "Get out of my Omnitrix!"
"Now we're talking, baby!" Technus exclaimed as he started using the power of the Omnitrix. Ben watched as he was forced to transform, turning into Swampfire.
"What's going on!?" Swampfire exclaimed as he felt the Omnitrix controlling his limbs, aiming them at his friends, and firing at them.
"Woah!" Gwen and Kevin exclaimed as the former made a pink shield, blocking his flames. "Ben!?"
"It's not me!" Swampfire exclaimed as Technus appeared on where the Omnitrix should be.
"Now this is power, baby!" The Ghost exclaimed with a laugh as he started glowing. "Now, let's see what this baby can really do!"
Swampfire started screaming as his left arm started changing, becoming purple and crystal, with the shoulder protruding a pink crystal, his chest becoming yellow and scaly, below his abdomen, two arms sprout, a crustacean claw on the left and a blue, furry, four-fingered paw appeared on the left, his legs becoming green and jelly, mismatched yellow and blue wings sprouted from his back, his head becoming white and square-shaped with headphones.
"Now, I am Tech-X!" Techus exclaimed from the chest. With a laugh, he assaulted Gwen and Kevin with fire, plants, ice, crystals, goo, beams, and sound waves.
Meanwhile, Danny kept dodging the Fright Knight's Soul Shredder. He ducked a wide slash and rushed to give a punch on the chest. Fright Knight swung his blade down, but Danny slid to the front before he threw a roundhouse kick, hitting the hilt, making Fright Knight stumble a bit, giving Danny a chance to give another kick, hitting Fright Knight's side. The Ghost quickly corrected his balance and glared at Danny.
"What's the matter, Frighty?" Danny said as he ducked a slash to his head before he slammed his fist on his chest, making the knight stumble before he tried to retaliate by stabbing him, but Danny jumped away. "Too heavy to keep up?"
"I will send you to the deepest pit of your fears!" Fright Knight declared.
"Ha, that's a new one!" Danny taunted, hiding his nerves with bravado. He barely dodged all of his attacks, and a single hit could send him to his worst fears.
And there were no pumpkins around, so he couldn't seal him again. Now, he just needed to focus and look for an opportunity to beat the Spirit of Halloween.
Back with the Incredibles, the family of Supers were having difficulty with the Ghost Vultures, with Violet being taken by the lead vulture, leaving the other three being assaulted by the birds, their beaks pecking at them painful, their talons tearing their uniforms.
"You know, I kinda wish we brought Jack-Jack with us." Dash said, narrowly ducking another beak. "I'm sure he would have taken care of these bald eagles."
"What did you call us!?" The one with the shades shouted, all of them looking at Dash.
"Uh-oh," Dash said before the vultures focused on him. "Gah! Ow! Hey!"
"Hang on, son!" Mr. Incredible exclaimed as he rushed to his son, before turning to his wife. "Honey, you go get Violet!"
Elastigirl nodded and stretched her arms to grab onto the beams, pulling herself into the air and after the lead vulture that was carrying Violet, who was trying to free herself.
"Let me go!" Violet exclaimed, trying to pry him off, but wasn't working.
"No can do, girly." the vulture said, keeping her off the ground. "Now, be a good kid and shut u-gwak!"
A hand missed his head, startling him. He looked down and saw Elastigirl swinging after them. The older heroine used her arms and legs to swing after the bird while trying to grab her daughter, but the vulture kept dodging her. As they flew, Violet raised her hands and aimed in front of them. In a flash of purple, a force field appeared, and the vulture slammed into it, causing it to let Violet go. She started falling down, but Elastigirl quickly caught her and the two rough landed on a magazine kiosk.
"Not a bad landing." Elastigirl groaned as she helped her daughter up. "How are you, Sweetie?"
"I'm ok-Watch out!" Violet shouted. Elastigirl turned around and was met with a wall of red. Four bodies tumbled through the floor before they all stopped, groaning. "Ugh…Slightly not okay."
"Who's a bald eagle now?" A vulture said.
The three vultures all raised their beaks, and that's the only warning Violet had to make a forcefield around her family, blocking the sharp beaks and talons.
"Being beaten by birds, Frozone is never gonna let me live this one down." Mr. Incredible said as he rubbed his head.
"So, any ideas?" Violet asked as she kept the forcefield up.
"Uh…no." Dash said, having no idea how to beat the vultures. "Can't you call your boyfriend to beat them?"
"Not her boyfriend!" Mr. Incredible exclaimed.
"Now's really not the time for that, Bob." Elastigirl said in a deadpanned tone as she noticed Violet straining. "How you holding up, Sweetie?"
"I…can't…" Violet grunted as she felt the forcefield weakening. The family braced themselves as they saw the forcefield cracking.
"Hadoken!"
"Huh?!" The Incredibles went in unison.
The blue energy ball blasted the three vultures off the family of heroes. Surprised, the forcefield disappeared and they looked at their savior, a teenage girl wearing a Japanese schoolgirl uniform with a white cloth tied around her head.
"Are you guys okay?" Sakura asked as she rushed towards them. "Those birds didn't try to peck your eyes out, right?"
"Who are you?" Violet asked, looking surprised and suspicious at the taller and admittedly more pretty than her girl.
"I'm Sakura Kasugano." Sakura greeted with a small smile. "I'm looking for a friend of mine. Have you seen someone with white hair and green eyes?"
"Wait, is a bug robot spying on you too?" Dash asked.
"Yes, it is. We tracked its signal around here." Sakura said with a nod, looking surprised.
"Are you a ghost too?" Dash asked.
"No, I'm human." Sakura said with a shake of her head.
"Did you date that Danny kid too?" Mr. Incredible asked suddenly.
"Yes." Sakura said with a nod, blushing slightly.
"See? He's dating another girl after dating our daughter?" Mr. Incredible said to his wife. "What kind of boy does that?"
"It's part of the program, Hon." Elastigirl said with a sigh. "Violet dated other boys too after her date with Danny. And I'm sure this girl dated other boys too."
"Are we really having this discussion right now!?" Violet exclaimed before gesturing at the vultures that were recovering from the surprised ki blast. "We're fighting a losing battle against talking dead birds, remember!"
"Sorry, not the time." Both her parents said.
"Here, let me handle them." Sakura said before she rushed towards the birds before the family could stop them. The vultures gave her an angry look before they all rushed towards her. The bird with the shades swiped his talons at her, but she duck and pulled back her fist. "Shouken!" Sakura unleashed a spinning uppercut while covered in ki, hitting the vulture below the beak, sending him flying up, hitting one of the decorations, replacing a monkey riding a donkey.
"Hey!" The bird with balding white hair snapped as he charged at her, as she rushed towards it and jumped to the air, spinning as she raised her right leg.
"Shunpukyaku!" she exclaimed as she kicked the vulture on the body, sending it crashing down a store, stopping on a display of a grill with a mannequin pretending to cook.
"That's it!" The lead vulture dived at her with his beak pointing at her, intending to skewer her. Sakura waited before it was close enough.
She then jumped up and threw both her hands and feet to the vulture.
"Sakura Otoshi!" Sakura unleashed a powerful attack that sent the vulture flying towards a chicken-themed food stall, with the vulture landing in the roaster, spinning alongside the cooked birds.
Giving a satisfied nod, Sakura walked back towards the surprised family of heroes, their eyes wide and jaws hanging.
"Wow, nice job." Violet said, seeing one girl easily beat the three birds that were giving her and her family trouble.
"How did you do that?" Dash asked with an excited gleam in his eyes.
"I learned it from watching Ryu, the greatest martial artist in the world." Sakura said. "He trained in the mountains of Japan before he traveled the world."
"Mom, can I go to Japan?" Dash asked.
"No." Elastigirl said as Dash groaned. She then turned towards Sakura. "Thank you for the help, Ms. Kasugano."
"Happy to help, ma'am." Sakura said with a grin before turning to Violet. "So…you dated Danny too?"
"Yeah," Violet said, feeling awkward.
"He's kinda cute, right?" Sakura asked with a smile and a wink.
"Y-yeah, he is…" Violet said with a blush.
"Are you really talking about this right now?" Mr. Incredible said with a frown.
"Right, not the time." Violet said. "We should go see Danny."
"Really?" Dash commented with a deadpan expression.
"Not like that!" Violet exclaimed.
Suddenly, they heard an explosion on the upper floor, causing them to look up, with the family looking worried.
"Is that another ghost?" Dash asked.
"No, that's just someone I came with." Sakura said offhandedly.
Earlier, seconds before Sakura helped the Incredibles.
Ember fired energized notes towards Kula, who kept dodging them gracefully, while firing ice projectiles at Ember, who either dodged or swatted them with her guitar. Just a few feet way from them, K' was dodging the small missiles from Skulker, breakdancing across the floor to get closer to the ghost. As he got closer, his fist lit on fire.
"Crow Bite!" K' said and with a quick dash, K' was in front of Skulker and delivered a flaming uppercut, which hit Skulker on the chest. Skulker flew in the air before he activated his jetpack, stabilizing himself.
"Impressive, you're almost as good as the Ghost Boy." Skulker commented.
"…I'm going to beat you for that." K' said cooly.
"Oh? I see even allies are annoyed at him, must be the witty banter." Skulker said as more missiles and lasers appeared all over his body.
K' just scoffed before charging towards the hunter.
Kula kicked Ember's guitar, creating a small shockwave before they both got pushed away. Kula quickly threw more ice at Ember, who flew into the air by standing on her guitar, using it like a hoverboard.
"Ha, if this is the type of girls that Dipstick has been seeing, I'm not impressed." Ember said.
"…Do you like Danny?" Kula asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No! I don't! Shut up!" Ember exclaimed, her hair flaring up.
"Well, I doubt he'd go out with you!" Kula exclaimed. "I don't think he's not into tacky goth rockers."
"Oh, I am so going to tear you apart." Ember growled.
She charged as she grabbed her guitar and swung it down, causing Kula to jump back to dodge before she took a deep breath.
"Diamond Breath!" She released a misty breath attack that blew Ember off a few feet. She then strummed her guitar, firing giant glowing fists towards Kula, who created a misty barrier. "Counter Shell!"
The fists met the barrier and it exploded, pushing Kula back. Taking advantage, Ember fired at her with her hair, creating a barrier that trapped her. Kula panicked, seeing fire surrounding her and making her pant in shock.
"What? Too hot to handle?" Ember questioned with a smirk, her fists glowing.
"Kanzuki-ryu Kouken!" Someone shouted.
Ember turned around from the shout and was suddenly assaulted by someone with spinning blue energy. She was slapped into the air, sending her flying and causing her fire barrier to dissipate. Kula blinked before she looked at her savior, a young woman the same age as her with a regal look, blond hair with curly ends held by a blue ribbon and a red school uniform.
"Wait…you're Karin Kanzuki." Kula commented in surprise, seeing the famous rich girl fighter.
"It's nice to see my reputation is known." Karin said in a haughty manner. She then turned to the groaning Ember.
"Who are you, some snob princess?" Ember growled in annoyance.
"No, I'm someone who's simply better than you." Karin said.
"Oh yeah? Well, we'll see, princess." Ember exclaimed as she hefted her guitar and rushed at Karin, who stood there, ready.
Ember swung her guitar, but Karin dodged her attacks with the grace of a ballerina, simply twirling and dancing around Ember's attacks, much to her frustrations.
"How droll." Karin yawned.
"Hold still!" Ember exclaimed as she started firing musical notes at Karin, who just ducked, jumped, and bobbed away with ease.
"I heard this town was full of dangerous beings, but I'm just not seeing it." Karin said in a bored tone.
That peeved Ember off well.
"Oh, I'll show you dangerous-!"
"Diamond Edge!" Kula went.
"Wh-AAGH!" Ember was suddenly blasted by giant, sharp ice pillars that erupted from the ground before her, sending her flying. Karin looked at Kula, who just smirked.
"…I would have beaten her." Karin said, not looking amused,
"I'm sure, but she was my fight first." Kula said cheekily.
"I suppose that's fair…" Karin went with an eye roll.
Meanwhile, K' was dodging the lasers, blasters, and missiles, wondering how the robot-like entity had so many weapons. Skulker just laughed as he kept firing.
"Fool! Even with your powers and fighting skills, you are no match for Skulker, Ghost Zone's Greatest Hu-Gah!" Skulker gloated before Ember slammed into him from behind, sending the two flying towards a surprised K', who suddenly lit his hand on fire.
"You talk too much! Heat Drive!" He dashed towards the two ghosts and punched them with his flaming fist, causing it to explode and send them flying into a hunting store, the windows breaking. K' then adjusted his sunglasses. "Well, that wasn't so hard."
With the two Demi girls
"Wow… so cool!" Hikari gushed, watching the groups do battle.
"Yeah…" Yuki said before looking disappointed. "So… it looks like Danny's into girls who can fight or protect themselves…"
As Yuki looked away, thinking herself unfit to be with Danny, Hikari patted her on the back.
"Hey now! Don't count yourself out!" Hikari went.
"Yes… you have your own part to play here…" A voice went from behind their backs.
Surprised, the two of them looked back to see a stranger in white, hovering while looking down at them with a sneer.
"Who in the heck are you?" Hikari questioned with a judgy look.
Back on the bottom floor, Ben was forced to watch as he felt his own body move against his friend and cousin, feeling the unnatural body forced the powers of the Omnitrix to mix. It felt wrong and it hurt a lot.
"Aagh!" He shouted in pain as he felt Goop's slime mix with Swampfire's fire blast, firing burning jelly blobs towards Gwen and Kevin, with Gwen making a shield to protect the two of them. "Ow! This hurts!"
"Quit whining, you big baby!" Tech-X exclaimed from the chest piece. He then noticed that Kevin wasn't behind Gwen anymore. He looked around before he heard Kevin behind him, carrying some broken debris to smash his head.
Suddenly, Ben screamed as Chromastone's purple diamonds grew from his back and blasted purple energy at Kevin, blasting him away.
"Gah! Stop that!" Ben exclaimed in pain as Tech-X fired crystalized webs from one of the hands, trapping Kevin to a wall. "Oh man, is this how it felt for you, Kevin?"
"Kinda." Kevin said as he struggled to get free from the webs.
"Man, I'm sorry for making fun of you about it." Ben said.
"Forget about it, man." Kevin grunted. "We were dumb kids back then."
"I like this blossoming bromance, but how are we supposed to stop this?" Gwen asked as she was assaulted by fire blobs and crystalized webs.
Suddenly, a giant mouth opened from Ben's stomach, releasing a powerful screech. Gwen winced from the pain, and unable to concentrate, her shield shattered. She covered her ears as she fell to her knees. Defenseless, Gwen didn't see a yellow laser covered with electricity that shot from the chest piece, hitting Gwen and electrocuting her.
"Gwen!" The two boys exclaimed as she fell to the ground, groaning.
"Oh yeah, I'm smoking hot!" Tech-X exclaimed as he created a claw made of sharp crystals that slowly grew bigger. "And this is just nine of your powers. Once I undo the firewalls protecting the source, all your sweet alien powers will be mine!"
Tech-X laughed as Kevin struggled to get free while Ben tried to regain control of his body, walking towards the fallen Gwen, raising the giant crystal claw, his intent clear. As he was about to swing his weapon, a forcefield appeared around Gwen, blocking the claw, surprising Tech-X. Suddenly, he was bulldozed by Mr. Incredible, sending him flying towards K' and Kula, both readying their attacks.
"Crow Bite!" The two exclaimed as they released a fire and ice uppercut that sent Tech-X into the air.
Sakura leapt to the air, ki covering her body.
"Sakura Otoshi!" She slammed both feet and fists into Tech-X, sending him flying towards Karin, who jumped towards the ghost-possessed alien.
"Guren Hou Shou!" She unleashed ki-powered palm strikes at the face on the chest before sending a strong hit that sent him crashing to the ground.
Dazed, Tech-X suddenly found himself wrapped up by Elastigirl's arm, keeping him in place. Growling, Tech-X suddenly grew in size, slowly becoming ten feet tall. Elastigirl lost her grip before she jumped away to dodged a giant, crystal fist that was covered with fire.
"You think you lame-o's can beat me?" Tech-X exclaimed as he started firing at random places with various projectiles. "Think again!"
"Lame-o's?" Dash commented with a snort as he ran to avoid the projectiles. "This guy sounds like a loser."
"How do we stop him?" Elastigirl exclaimed as she swung around the upper level to dodged the projectiles. She saw Mr. Incredible rush head first towards Tech-X, but didn't get close as he was blasted by a crystal beam that erupted from a giant crystal from Tech-X's butt.
Meanwhile, Violet managed to free Kevin from the webs, who then rushed towards Gwen, who was being helped by Sakura and Karin.
"Who are they?" Kevin asked, spotting the two new girls.
"One of them dated Danny, apparently." Violet said.
"Man, that guy sure gets around. I should have done this program." Kevin commented, since he saw that the two girls were actually good-looking. The two then reached Gwen, who was rubbing her head. "You okay?'
"I'll live, I think." Gwen said as she looked at the Tech-X.
"So, any ideas on how to stop this…thing?" Karin commented, gesturing at the giant alien monstrosity.
"We need to separate Technus from Ben." Gwen said. "But I don't know how."
"Maybe Danny could do it." Sakura suggested.
"But he's fighting that knight guy." Kevin said.
"Then we switch partners." Gwen said before she ran off. "Let's go!"
Meanwhile, Danny fired at Fright Knight, hitting the ghost on the stomach, causing him to slide a few feet away.
"You are trying my patience, whelp." Fright Knight said in annoyance.
"You can always just give up." Danny commented. "Summon your flying unicorn and fly off to Transylvania, you might like it there."
"Nightmare is an alicorn!" Fright Knight exclaimed in anger as he unleashed a torrent of purple flames towards Danny, who fired ice beams to counter the flames.
"Wow, that seemed like a sensitive subject." Danny grunted as he kept up the ice. He kept up the beam, but knew he couldn't last long.
Suddenly, Fright Knight was blasted by pink energy, stopping his assault. Surprised, Danny watched as Gwen, Kevin, and to his confusion, Sakura and Karinl, stood in front of Fright Knight.
"Sakura?" he called out in shock.
"Hi, Danny-san." Sakura said with a wave before she turned to Fright Knight with her fighting stance. "Sorry, no time to talk right now, but let's catch up later."
"Danny, we need you to help Ben." Gwen explained. "Technus took over the Omnitrix and is going out of control!"
"Can you guys handle Fright Knight?" Danny asked as he saw the Fright Knight recover as he glared at the new group.
"We fight knights every few weeks." Kevin said, cracking his knuckles. "Go get that nerd out of our nerd."
"Just make sure not to touch the blade." Danny said before flying off.
"Like I'm scared of a stupid sword, especially by someone like that." Kevin said before he rushed towards Fright Knight.
"You will be." The Fright Knight said.
Kevin threw a punch, but Fright Knight dodged it and slashed at Kevin. Suddenly, Kevin disappeared, finding himself somewhere else.
"Huh? Where am I?" Before he could react, Kevin suddenly found himself in the Null Void. He then fell to his knees as his form started changing. To his horror, he started becoming a mashup of different aliens, feeling the pain of his body forced to become an unnatural combination of races. "No! Noooooo!" he cried out in horror.
"What did you do Kevin?!" Gwen exclaimed as she saw him disappear after getting hit by the sword.
"I sent him to his worst fears." Fright Knight said as he hefted his sword. "And now, you'll be next."
Gwen growled as pink energy covered her hands, while Sakura and Karin tensed as Fright Knight charged.
Back with Tech-X, The Incredibles, Kula, and K were still struggling against Tech-X, and they were slowly losing ground. Mr. Incredible was trapped to a wall in a combination of crystal webs and electric goop, unable to escape, Elastigirl was tied to the ceiling by giant, foul-smelling plants, Dash was trapped in a dome of webs and crystals, forced to run to avoid getting electrocuted, Violet was inside her forcefield to avoid drowning in a combination of burning swamp muck and green goop, K and Kula got closed to Tech-X, but the giant monster was playing around with them by using two hands to fight them.
"Just a few more seconds, and I'll be universal, baby!" Tech-X exclaimed with a laugh, his eyes turning into a countdown timer. "In 5…4…3…2…1…"
"Zero!" Danny exclaimed as he flew towards Tech-X, turning intangible. Surprised, Tech-X watched as Danny flew at him. Danny flew through the chest piece, punching Technus out of it. Ben screamed as he slowly changed back to being human. He fell on his knees, panting heavily. K and Kula went to check on him as the family of supers freed themselves from their imprisonment.
"No! I was so close!" Technus exclaimed in anger as he held on to Danny's arms, trying to get free.
"Look on the bright side…" Danny said with a smirk as he slammed the ghost to the ground, right next to the Fenton Thermos. "You get to have some quality time in your favorite soup container."
"Noooo!" Technus exclaimed as Danny grabbed the device and turned it on, sucking Technus inside the thermos.
He then turned towards the others.
"Everyone okay?" He asks.
"We'll live." Mr. Incredible said, his pride having taken a beating since he didn't beat the ghosts that attacked him and his family. Especially since he was saved by a boy that dated his daughter. "…Good…job…" He said awkwardly.
"Thanks, Mr. P- I mean, Incredible." Danny said, not noticing how strained he sounded. He then turned to Ben. "You okay?"
"I'll live." he groaned, rubbing his head before he gagged. "Aw man, feels like I drank fifty Meat and Mango smoothies in one go."
"…Meat and Mango smoothies?" Elastigirl said as she gave Ben a weirded-out expression.
"No time for that, we need to help the others fight Fright Knight." Danny said as he led the others back to the other fight.
When they got there, they saw Kevin was missing while the three girls were moving in sync to keep the Fright Knight at bay.
"Wow, that's one cool-looking ghost!" Dash exclaimed.
Danny rushed forward with K and Kula behind him as he blindsided Fright Knight with a kick, with the two firing fire and ice at the knight, knocking him away.
"Ben, you're okay!" Gwen said with a relieved smile.
"Not exactly, but I'll live." Ben said before he looked around. "Where's Kevin?"
"Fright Knight sent him to his worst fears." Gwen said in a worried tone.
"Can you get him back?" Ben asked.
"We would need to either put his sword in a pumpkin or break it, since I've heard that's a way to break the spell quicker." Danny said. "But maybe your magic can reverse the spell?"
"I'll try, just let me get a good shot at it. I would need to sense his mana or know where he went, so maybe that thing can pinpoint where it sent him." Gwen said as she got into a meditative position, her eyes glowing.
"Okay, one more time." Ben said as he dialed the Omnitrix and slapped it, his body transforming into a crystalline alien. "Chromastone!"
"What's that form do?" Danny asks.
"Hit me with your ghost ray and I'll fire it at the buckethead over there." Chromastone said.
"Works for me." Danny said.
Danny fired a ghost ray, which Chromastone absorbed and fired at the Fright Knight.
"Fool!" The Fright Knight raised his sword, blocking the shot that, while pushing him back, wasn't enough to put him down.
Gwen fired a stream of mana at the Soul Shredder With it, she was able to open a portal to wherever Kevin went. What she saw at first was a swirl of screaming shadows before they parted. She saw Kevin on his knees, shaking in fear.
"Kevin!" She called out as she rushed it to save him. She knelt down next to him, but he was in a trance. "Kevin! Snapped out of it."
She shook him, but that didn't help, so she slapped him hard.
"Ow!" Kevin said as he blinked, noticing Gwen. "Gwen? Where are we?"
"No idea." Gwen said, not liking the place they were in right now. "We need to get out of here."
"How?" Kevin asked. "This place looks endless."
"Maybe not." Gwen said as she turned and pointed to the portal she made. "Come on… while I still got it opened."
Back in the mall, Fright Knight was fighting off the large group of powered individuals; he blocked the ki blasts with his sword, dodged pillars of ice and fire, overpowered Mr. Incredible's charge and flipped the man to the ground and was about to stab him when an elongated hand punched his face, making him stumbled back before a small blur run around him, spinning him around in place before he kicked Dash away and rushed to stab him, but Violet quickly got in his way, blocking him with a forcefield, but the force of the swing sent the two siblings flying towards their parents, knocking them onto a smoothie kiosk, before he saw Kula, K', Sakura, and Karin. With a roar, he swung his sword, releasing a powerful wave of green energy that sent the four flying through a wall.
Suddenly, a colorful beam blasted him from behind. He turned around and saw Chromastone charging up another blast. The alien fired another blast, but the Fright Knight deflected back with his sword, reflecting the beam upward, causing a ceiling light to fall and land on him, knocking him down.
Suddenly, Danny flew from behind and punched him on the back of the head, causing Fright Knight to stumble a bit, before Danny landed in front of him and delivered an uppercut that made Fright Knight stumble back before he regained his bearings and glared at Danny. A second later, Chromastone stood back up and walked next to Danny.
"We outnumber him ten to one, and he's still kicking our butts." The alien said.
"If only we had a pumpkin." Danny said, causing Chromastone to look at him.
"What good would a pumpkin do?" Chromastone asked. "Is he allergic to it or something?"
"It's his weakness." Danny said as he gestured at the sword. "I need to recite the spell and stab that sword in the pumpkin and he'll be sealed inside."
"Hmm… I might be able to do something." Chromastone said as he slapped the Omnitrix on his chest. In a flash of light, he changed form. "Swampfire!"
"Woah, you reek!" Danny exclaimed, covering his nose as he moved away from Swampfire.
"I'll try and make us a pumpkin, you keep him busy." Swampfire said as he suddenly ran to a nearby tree outside the mall.
"That's my specialty." Danny said as he suddenly made a shield to block a blast from Fright Knight. "Ready for round two?"
"I won't send you to your greatest fear, whelp." Fright Knight said as he hefted his sword. "I will cut off your head and place it on a mantle right on top of the fireplace!"
"Honestly, that doesn't freak me out anymore, I've gotten numb to threats like those." Danny said, having been used to threats regarding getting both decapitated and taxidermized. "Hey, do you feel cold?"
"What?" Fright Knight asked in confusion before seeing Kula had aimed hand and released her cold power to the ground, which traveled towards Fright Knight, who didn't react fast enough, so his lower body got frozen, trapping him. "What!?"
"Thank you, Kula." Danny said as he waved to her.
"Anytime!" Kula went cheerfully, which earned a disapproving glance from Violet.
"Wow… She's peppier than you." Dash commented, much to his sister's annoyance.
Danny rushed forward and started pummeling the trapped knight; a punch to the head, a backhand to the face, a kick to the gut, and a heel drop to the shoulder. He threw another punch, but Fright Knight caught it and threw Danny behind him, making him land on the ground roughly. Fright Knight then used his sword to stab the ice, freeing himself.
He rushed at Danny, swinging his sword, but Danny ducked before jumping away to avoid a stab. Danny looked at the sword before he got an idea. Clasping his hands, he created an ice replica of the Soul Shredder.
"En garde!" He shouted.
"You are insolent!" Fright Knight shouted as charged at Danny.
"I've heard that before." Danny said.
With a loud roar, their blades clashed. Danny winced as he felt the shock travel from his sword to his arms. After five clashes, his sword shattered, and Fright Knight gave him a hard kick, sending him out of the mall and down on the ground. Before he could get back up, Fright Knight gave him a hard stomp, his sword aimed right at his face.
"This time, nothing will save you." Fright Knight said as Danny tried to get the foot off him.
"Ben, how's that pumpkin going?" Danny called out as he struggled to get the boot off him.
"Still working on it!" Swampfire shouted back as he kept making vines grow. "It's my first time trying to do this."
"You could have led with that before we tried this plan of yours!" Danny called out before he saw Fright Knight lift his sword higher.
"Say goodbye, Phantom!" Fright Knight said as he was about to stab Danny,
Danny's eyes widened as he felt his world slow down as the sword got closer to him. Suddenly, he noticed the Soul Shredder glowing pink. A few feet away, Gwen was there, with her eyes which were glowing brightly.
Fright Knight stopped as he turned to his sword, the glow becoming stronger. In a flash of light, a green, metallic fist suddenly slammed into his face, causing him to stumble off Danny. A hand appeared on Danny's field of vision, making him look up and see Kevin, now in a ghostly green shell.
"Looks like you guys were having trouble." Kevin said as Danny took the hand and he helped him up.
"How did you get back here?" Danny asked, surprised to see him free before sheathing the sword.
"Gwen managed to find me and pull me out. Hard to do when you're trying to ignore your worst fears and all." Kevin said before he turned to Fright Knight, who looked at Kevin with shocked eyes.
"How did you get free!?" he exclaimed.
"I got good friends, friends who gave me a shot at some payback." Kevin said with a smirk.
Growling, Fright Knight charged, but felt something snagged his leg by a pink energy rope. He looked and saw Gwen, smirking at him before she spun around, spinning Fright Knight before sending him flying towards Danny and Kevin, the two throwing a punch together that sent Fright Knight flying back into the mall, and causing him to drop his sword, which Gwen caught.
Groaning, Fright Knight was about to stand up, but found himself trapped by pink energy. He looked up and saw Gwen, Danny, and Kevin standing in front of him. He looked around and saw the rest of them regaining consciousness and walking towards him. Then, there was a flash of green light, and Ben appeared, holding a deformed pumpkin.
"Got us a pumpkin." Ben said in a proud tone.
"That's a pumpkin?" Dash asked, tilting his head. "It looks like a squash."
"It's a pumpkin!" Ben said defensively.
"Why did you need a pumpkin?" Karin asked, raising an elegant eyebrow.
"To, you know, beat him, that's what Danny said." Ben said, gesturing at Fright Knight.
"How would a pumpkin beat him?" K' asked.
"And that looks more like a butternut squash than a pumpkin, not even a good one." Kula commented.
"CAN WE JUST USE THE THING ALREADY?!" Ben insisted.
"Got it. Don't worry, it worked on a bucket that looked like a pumpkin." Danny said as he saw the Soul Shredder. "Let's do it."
Before Gwen could hand him the sword, the Fright Knight managed to break free of her pink energy.
"Give me my sword and I will not adorn my castle with your corpses!" He shouted.
"Grab him!" Mr. Incredible said as he and K' grabbed the Fright Knight by the arms and held him back.
"Fools!" The Fright Knight said as he phased out of their grip. "Nothing will sto-"
He felt a barrier block him, making him step back. Looking to his left, he saw that Violet had her hands out.
"Nothing?! Yeah right!" Violet said as she lifted the spherical barrier she made up, lifting him up.
"RELEASE ME!" The Fright Knight said as he pounded on the barrier, causing Violet to grit her teeth from the strain.
Elastigirl could see this happening before turning her head to Danny.
"Danny, whatever it is you're about to do, do it now!" She shouted.
Danny nodded as he held up the Soul Shredder.
"To cease the storm, to end the fear. The sword must sheath, in pumpkin near!" Danny said before stabbing the pumpkin-like plant with enough force that it went through it. "Uh… oops…"
However, the sword and the vegetable hovered up, glowing.
"Is it working?" Ben asks.
"Must be." Danny said.
The sword fired a beam upwards that created a portal that swirled, one that sucked the sword itself up with a powerful gust that blew everyone's hair up.
"Whoa!" Sakura went, she and Gwen pushing their skirts down.
"Violet! Turn your shield off!" Danny called out.
Relieved, Violet did so as the Fright Knight rose up, trying hard to break free.
"YOU'LL ALL PAY FOR THIIIIISSSS!" The Fright Knight shouted as he was sucked into the portal before it closed.
With that, the ghosts not captured or sent away took advantage of the situation and left before they were noticed.
"We played our part…" Skulker muttered, being too injured to keep fighting. "I'll add their pelts to the same wall I'll place Phantom's."
As soon as he left, Ember looked back to where Danny and the rest were with a somewhat jealous expression.
"I'm way hotter than those nobodies." She muttered before leaving.
"Everyone alright?" Danny asks, all who know his secret still standing.
"No… I almost got my head cut off and mounted on a wall thanks to you." K' complained.
"Stop being mean!" Kula insisted childishly.
"Tch…" K' went, clearly in a mood as he looked away.
"Wow… and I thought Kevin had his issues." Ben whispered, earning a light laugh from Gwen.
"I'm glad you're okay, Danny-san." Sakura went, giving a thumb's up.
Before Danny could speak up, Karin got very close and examined Danny from top to bottom.
"Uh… something on my face?" He asks before Karin did her noblewoman's laugh.
"You can't fool me. You're the same boy from earlier today." She went. Danny's face became pale as Karin walked away with her arms crossed. "No wonder Miss Kasugano was so… talkative about you."
"I never said he was a superhero!" Sakura said, panicking as her arms were up.
"You just did, right now." Karin said with a knowing smile.
As Sakura groaned at her mistake, covering her face in shame, Danny cleared his throat.
"Okay… Here's the abridged version… Everyone here knows my identity. You don't have to share names with each other… but I'd appreciate you all agreeing not to mention this to anyone else or try to learn more on the other if they don't want to." Danny said.
Most of them nodded. K' scowled as he looked away, only for Kula to rib him for it.
"Fine, whatever… geez…" He complained.
"Wait… what about Hikari and Yuki?" Ben asks, causing Danny's to widen.
"I thought they ran away…" Danny said before looking around.
"Is that one of them?" Sakura asks, pointing at someone on the floor, their leg was visible as the rest of them are behind a tree.
Danny hovered around and, to his shock, it was Hikari.
"Oh no…" He morphed back to human form as he tried to shake her awake. "Hikari? Hikari?"
"Rrrrggghhh… five more minutes, Himari…" She complained before her eyes. "Wait…" Her eyes widened. "Yuki!" She saw Danny was the one shaking her awake before standing up straight. "You gotta save Yuki!"
"Huh?" Danny asks.
"Some creepy guy who looks like a vampire… which I know he wasn't because I am one… kidnapped her and flew away!" Hikari went.
Danny paused a moment before it sunk in as he stood up.
"First off… you're a vampire?" Danny asks.
"An A-Class Demi vampire!" Hikari went proudly.
"Okay?" Danny responded before recalling what she said prior. "And second… why are you telling me to go sa-"
"I saw you morph." Hikari went quickly.
Things were silent for a moment as Danny froze up.
"Come again?" Danny asks.
"I saw you morph and, while you were fighting, that guy who looks like a bad vampire cosplay kidnapped her and knocked me out." Hikari went before swinging her arms wildly. "Go kick his butt and save her! Save her and maybe be her knight in shining armor because she's got the biggest crush on both halves of you!" Hikari went.
She looked very desperate for his help as Danny nodded.
"The guy she's talking about is my arch-enemy. He's also the mayor of the town… He lives in Polter Heights." Danny said to the rest as he morphed. "Meet me there, I gotta speed over there!"
Before anyone could say anything, Danny flew upward with such speed that he didn't bother going intangible to go through the sunroof.
The remaining groups watched him leave as they looked at each other.
"What now?" Dash asks.
"Isn't it obvious? A kidnapping! We have to help." Mr. Incredible insisted.
"Let's go." Elastigirl said.
"He said Polter Heights. I saw it on a map he showed me last time I was here. Let's go." Violet said.
"We're going too." Ben said as he looked at Gwen and Kevin. "Right?"
"Absolutely." Gwen said with determination in her voice.
Kevin did not answer immediately, prompting Gwen to rib him.
"Sure…" He said in a groan.
"Take me along! That's my friend he took!" Hikari said.
Alien Force nodded.
"Hmm… a rescue? This should be interesting. Especially since the energy reading that seemed to be powering those robot bugs is coming in the direction of Polter Heights. Based on what he said, it seems this Vlad person may have been the one who controlled those robots. It's a good thing we noticed the commotion on the way here." Karin said, looking at her phone.
"Let's go too." Sakura said, thumb up.
K' grumbled as he started to walk away, only for a wall of ice to block his path.
"Uh-uh! If he's the guy who's been taking samples of my blood, then we have to go! If you don't help me help Danny, I'll make your life a nightmare and tell Uncle Maxima you've been mean again!" Kula insists.
"Fine…" K' said in a defeated tone as Kula grinned. "But let's get one thing straight, I'm doing this because I don't like that weirdo for whatever his bugs were doing to you. I'm not doing this to save your boyfriend…"
Kula's grin dropped upon hearing that, getting childishly upset.
"He's not m-"
"Whatever…" K' grumbled as he followed everyone else.
At Vlad's manor
Danny Phantom landed in front of the door.
He had no time for strategies or plans. Someone he cared about was kidnapped and held captive. The time for plans and witty banter was over as his fist was raised.
Danny caused the doors to hit the floor with such strength that it tore part of the wall off the hinges.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" He shouted. There was no answer. "VLAD!" He entered. "If Yuki's hurt thanks to you, I'll break you in half!"
He marched into the kitchen, where he saw Vlad Masters sipping tea.
"Ah, Daniel… It's been a while. Tell me, how's the dating service been? Have you been enjoying yourself? Who do you like most? Kim Possible? Or Sam, not your Goth friend, but the lovely miss Simpson spy girl? Or… what was her name? Ah, Marinette, aka Ladybug? I'm betting it's that fairy named… Bloom, if I recall. Although, the ones named Sakura and Kula have some pros that make sampling their DNA as useful as Ms. Parr's and Ms. Tennyson's." Vlad asks as he puts his china cup down. "I understand a few stinkers like that Cree girl? Oh… but my favorite was the werewolf… not for her… but because of the cat lady taking quite a shine to you." Vlad added with a notably smug grin on his face.
"You HAVE been spying on me the entire time!" Danny said with a furious anger in his eyes.
"Indeed…" Vlad said as he took out a remote and pressed it, showing Danny a flat screen on his wall. "This is my favorite part…"
It replayed the incident where Toralie kissed Danny without consent, which caused Vlad to laugh mockingly at Danny's visible disgust and discomfort.
"Laugh all you want, Plasmius… just give me Yuki and I'll get out of your gray hair." Danny said.
Vlad's laughter dropped as he became angered at being reminded of his current hair color.
"First off… this!" He gestured to his hair. "... is your idiot father's fault!"
"All those billions you made from theft and yet you can't be bothered to buy hair dye…" Danny muttered.
"And second… if you want Ms. Kusakabe… she's downstairs in my lab." Vlad said with arms crossed and returning to being smug.
His glare intensifying, Danny decided it was worth a look. He phased through the floor and ended up in Vlad's lab, where he saw Yuki in chains with a few strange pods not far from here. He ignored that in favor of rescuing his friend. He landed near her, feeling the coldness of her powers due to her current distress.
"Yuki." Danny said.
"Danny?" She asks.
"Y-Yeah…" Danny went nervously. "Danny…"
"Fenton." Yuki said flatly.
Danny flinched upon hearing that she knew his identity.
"I guess you do know…" He said.
"I saw with Hikari…" Yuki said.
"I thought you two ran away to safety." Danny said before sighing. "I'm sorry… I wanted to tell you before but… Hikari kind of got in the way before I could at the end of our date."
"Should have known that it was Hikari's fault…" Yuki mumbled as she rolled her eyes away.
"Yuki…" Danny said, getting her attention. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I never meant for your life to be in danger…"
"It's okay. Well, maybe not okay given where I am now, but I was afraid to tell you I'm a Demi… so I can't blame you for it." Yuki said with a small smile.
"Let's get you out of here." Danny said as he phased the chains off her.
That's when he heard a sound nearby, coming from the pods.
"That creepy guy said what was inside was going to… make things more interesting... Yuki said.
"That sounds like something Vlad would say…" Danny muttered.
It was then the two noticed the pods were opening, mist coming out of them.
"What?" Yuki went, getting scared.
"Get behind me." Danny said, holding his arm out as he readied for the worst.
What they saw made Danny's eyes widen in shock.
"Danny?" Yuki asks.
"Is…" Danny went. "Is that…?"
