For the past few days, Medilyn had been making herself comfortable at Demortica's. There was something about the woman that tickled the demons' fancy. Breos had ultimately assumed she was falling for the witch, but that would be silly. Besides, demons can't love. That was a proven fact. While she sat at the homemade bar, the demon mixed herself a martini and began to think about everything that's been happening in the past couple weeks. She was also genuinely curious about what the Sources endgame and strategy was. At first she was going to do some undercover work, but then realized nobody really liked or respected her. That didn't mean she couldn't at least try to, though.

The demon sipped the martini while looking around the place trying to find anything she could to get some inspiration to strike. 'I could put my acting to the test and guise myself as an innocent, then I could get close to those stupid boys and kill them.'

Medilyn laughed at her own thoughts, sipped her martini and spun the olive around. It could be fun, have the boys go on a wild good chase and when they least expect it, WHAM! Dead witches! The woman spun around in her chair just thinking about it.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" A voice behind her asked, and Medilyn was bored to find out it was only Breos.

"Don't you have demonic meetings to attend?" She asked, groaning. "Or is the Source still preoccupied with his shadows?"

Breos smirked while he walked up to the bar and mixed himself a drink of his own. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

Medilyn sighed but looked at the man curiously, "You'd think we'd enjoy each other's company more," she watched Breos give her the side eye before she laughed quietly, "I'm serious. We're both demons fighting for the same cause, why not be more friendly with each other?"

Breos grinned and took a sip of his drink, "Friendly? You mean like, make out and have sex?" Honestly, just the thought of that made Breos want to throw up and vanquish himself.

Medilyn rolled her eyes but laughed, surprising Breos. "No, like hanging out and being civil with one another."

Shaking his head, Breos told the woman he's more of a loner type of demon. "As much as I appreciate the offer," he said, dripping with sarcasm, "I like to be alone and look out for myself."

Medilyn tilted her head, "How are you looking out for yourself by putting your trust in a witch?"

Breos chuckled as he placed the glass down on the counter, "Oh Medilyn, wouldn't you like to know?"

Medilyn was rolling her eyes while the man asked where their leader was, and she told him she was out fishing for more information and trying to find a new nymph to tend to her plants. "I just don't know why she won't let me stalk those witches and get some information myself."

Breos just shook his head and sighed, "Because Medilyn, she cares about you." When he noticed Medilyn raising an eyebrow, he just placed a hand on his forehead. "It's the thing about witches that makes no sense to me. Demortica may be magical, but she's still human. Which means she holds more emotion than us."

Medilyn looked down at the ground, deep in thought, "Yeah, but she's been around for years. If she's human, how does he retain her age?"

Breos just shrugged. He could care less to be completely honest, but he was also kind of amused how interested Medilyn was about it. "Probably the same as the Skythorn's. Spells, potions, cross breeding, who knows?"

Medilyn acted sick when she heard Breos bring up the Skythorn's. "Now there's a breed I truly don't understand. Are they witches, warlocks or demons?"

Again, Breos shrugged, "I'm not entirely sure, to be honest," since he and Medilyn were for once having an actual conversation, he decided to make himself another drink and sit down. "From my knowledge, the Skythorn's have been around for centuries. Nobody truly knows what they are, but they are powerful. At least the older ones are."

Medilyn curled her lips while slowly stirring her drink. Breos had taken her glass, and while she was going to say something at first, she was surprised he was refreshing it. "And one of the Charmed brats is a Skythorn, but once again I don't know how."

"Cross breeding," Breos stated simply while handing Medilyn's glass back to her, "One thing that shouldn't mix is magic and science."

"Huh," Medilyn said and sipped her drink, "the kid must be pretty powerful."

"Not as powerful as his twice blessed daddy," Breos replied then looked as if a lightbulb flashed in his head, "which reminds me,"

Since it didn't look like Demortica was planning to return anytime soon, Breos figured he could update Medilyn since she technically was Demortica's right hand woman. "There's word spreading in the Underworld that Wyatt Halliwell has been meeting with the Source."

This new piece of information caused Medilyn's face to light up, "Now that's something I never expected to hear! What the hell does he want with our "leader"?"

Breos told her he honestly had no idea, but it must be part of the Sources whacked up plan. And just to be nice, he also let Medilyn know that Athulak has been spotted around recently. That caused the woman to choke on her drink and cough, "Athulak? That crazy dumbass?"

"You know him?" Breos asked, and Medilyn stated it was only by reputation. She didn't exactly know his story, but she heard it was pretty morbid. "His face is disfigured, right? I heard it was from some magical explosion or something."

"That's just the rumors," Breos stated while shaking his head, "but I won't deny that the demon has a few loose screws."

The two demons continued talking for a bit before Breos decided he was going to go back to the Underworld to do some more undercover work. He started shimmering out but Medilyn stopped him. "I don't us expect us to be friends or whatever but that was a nice change of pace." She smiled before taking a last sip of her drink, "We should do it again soon."

Breos laughed but nodded, "Until next time, Medilyn." the demon shimmered out leaving Medilyn to herself. Now that she knew Athulak was around, maybe it was wise to sit out of the fight and let the demon do his thing. Or she could meet up with him and maybe talk to him? She giggled before leaving Demortica a note telling the witch she'd be back to visit soon before shimmering off in search of Athulak.

Later that night, Derek had convened in his old favorite spot at Sciton. It was a nice little restaurant with a bar, which was where he'd invited Roland to meet with him. He was two whiskeys in when the other man spotted him and walked over with a smile, "Want some company?"

Derek looked up and nodded, returning the smile. "Of course, make yourself comfortable." he watched as Roland took the seat across from him and used the mobile device at the table to order himself a drink. He asked if Derek was interested in an appetizer, and he asked if Roland could order some chicken wings.

"Whiskey and chicken wings," Roland started with a chuckle, "interesting choice there."

After a good few minutes, a server delivered the drink and food, telling the men to just grab her attention if they needed anything else. Derek thanked Roland before grabbing himself a chicken wing. "So, Wyatt Halliwell joins forces with the Source," Roland said with a hint of sarcasm in his tone, "that can't be good."

"Mm, no," Derek said and sipped his drink, "but why? What would he have to gain from joining the ultimate evil?"

Like before, Roland started coming up with theories to the mysteries which currently plagued them. There were always actions by force, possession, a mind control spell, desperation… "Seriously, the list could go on and on."

Derek sat back in his seat and looked down at the table, "What if his problem went back before he and I got together?"

"What do you mean?" Roland asked before taking a sip of his drink and picking up a chicken wing.

"Well," Derek said, crossing his arms, "I know it's none of my business, but when he broke it off with you, did you notice anything weird or off with him?"

Roland sighed and tried to think back to the time of the break up. He said that Wyatt had been pretty quiet leading up to it, but other than that, nothing really seemed out of the ordinary. "That was the thing about Wyatt, he seemed pretty honest and open about everything, but you could tell there was something that ticked at his brain."

Soon enough, they got bored talking about Wyatt and started talking about themselves, as a way to get to know each other. While Roland listed some of the things he liked, Derek realized that there were some things about him that reminded him of Tyler and Andrew. Derek learned that Roland grew up as an oddball type of person, someone who kept to themselves which reminded him of Andrew. But while Roland shared Andrew's loner quality, he also shared with Derek that he got himself into a lot of trouble growing up.

"A rebel and loner? That's a nice mix there," Derek commented which made Roland laugh and shrug.

"What about you?" Roland asked, making direct eye contact with Derek, "Tell me something about you that nobody knows about."

Derek raised his finger while finishing a chicken wing before placing it in the bowl, "I always wanted to be a mechanic and own a shop."

"Why didn't you?" Roland asked while taking another chicken wing.

"The kids," Derek continued, saying that working with the family at Sciton paid a lot better and helped the boys with their education.

Roland frowned at this and Derek could tell he was feeling guilty, "Hey," he grabbed Roland's hand and squeezed it, "don't be feeling like that. I now know it wasn't your fault you weren't in their lives."

Roland smiled sadly while he held onto Derek's hand, "Thanks, I just wish I could have been in their lives, you know?"

"Well, you're in them now." Derek said with hope, "You have a lot of time to make amends with them. I won't stand in your way."

"You won't," Roland replied with a dark tone, "but Wyatt might."

Derek thought about it, but shook his head, "I don't think so. If he was going to, I don't think he'd hold himself down in the Underworld."

The men continued their little date up until after midnight when the restaurant was getting ready to close. They got up from their seats and Roland announced he should be getting home, but Derek took his arm. "How about coming back to my place? We could sit on the couch and watch a movie?"

Roland smirked and told Derek that sounded like a great idea, "Besides, we still need to talk about that kiss."

Derek chuckled and looped his arm through Roland's, "Ah, that. I was wondering when that was going to be brought up."

Roland used his other hand to hold Derek's while they walked to the elevator, "You know, I regret some stuff in my life, but that kiss? I don't think I'd want to take it back."

Derek could actually feel himself blushing, "Uh, yeah. I wouldn't want to either." They reached the elevator and Derek pressed the operating button. They entered the elevator after it opened and Derek pressed the button leading them to the residential area.

"I'm actually glad to hear that," Roland finally answered once the elevator started ascending. "Because I totally plan to do it again once we're on that couch."

Derek chuckled slyly before looking over at Roland. They leaned into each other and started kissing while the elevator continued chiming as they went from floor to floor. Derek could feel his heart skipping a few beats while Roland placed his hands on the sides of Derek's jaw and slid his tongue in the man's mouth. Once they reached their floor, Derek led Roland to his place, got the door open and they immediately began making out while Derek led the both of them to the couch where they both plopped down and Roland climbed on top of Derek to continue their make out session.

Back in the Underworld, the Source had been making preparations for sending the next demon out to attack the boys. He felt that it was getting time to make a big move. He also wasn't dumb, he knew there were other evil forces at work as well. The Source summoned one of his closest allies, a demon named Laxo, putting him in charge of finding some of the best demons to do as much pain to the boys as possible.

"Yes, my Liege, when do you…" Laxo was interrupted by Athulak huffing and both he and the Source looked over at Athulak.

The Source placed his arms behind his back and walked up to the strong demon, "Yes, my strong friend?"

Athulak glared between the Source and Laxo, "With all due respect, "your highness"," Both Laxo and The Source smirked at the demon's sarcasm, "If anyone is going after the Skythorn witch, it's me."

The Source shared a look with Laxo before returning to Athulak with a shrug, "Whatever floats your boat, do what you want," he turned back to Laxo and gave him a questioning expression, "so now we need someone to go after the other two, any thoughts?"

Laxo gave it some thought, but told the Source he'd need more time to give it some thought. He wanted to deliver something really special to each boy, but encouraged the Source to give Athulak a chance. The Source nodded before waving Laxo off to be dismissed.

"Um, a question, your Grace, if you would?" Laxo asked while bowing shortly.

"Yes, Laxo?" The Source asked, sounding impatient.

Laxo looked over at the corner of the chamber where Wyatt was chained to a wall and looked completely dazed. "What are your plans for the witch?"

"Oh!" The Source clapped his hands and walked towards Wyatt, "You see, I have very special plans for this one." He took Wyatts chin and lifted his head up, "I have my Seer on standby to fill his pretty little head up with visions of his children being slaughtered." The Source let go of Wyatt's head which lifelessly dropped.

The Source looked back at Laxo, who in turn, looked impressed and giddy. "I invite you to stick around to watch his reactions," The Source said with his hands folded, "Looks like his little boy will be the first contender, that is," The Source looked over at Athulak, "If you're ready, um, friend?"

Athulak smiled, causing his face to twist and contort, "Believe me, I was born ready."

"Brilliant!" The Source beamed and turned to Laxo, "You go get your best demons and ask them to come to me before they go off on their mission, but make it back to watch daddy here mourn the loss of his first little brat."

Laxo smirked before shimmering away and the Source spun around and waved his arms in the air, "Do you smell that, Athulak? It's the smell of your victory coming once that rotten little witch is dead."

Both The Source and Athulak laughed while Wyatt hung off the wall, and tears rolled down his cheeks.

Andrew and Chris made plans to meet and hang out after Andrew was done with his duties at the restaurant so Chris made his way over there and parked in the lot. He'd gotten there a bit early so he wanted to see if anything else was open so he could get something quick to drink so he shot Andrew a text before making his way to a convenience store when he passed an alleyway and got a weird vibe. Chris stopped and looked through the alleyway but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. He went to continue on, but the sound of a small crash caused him to freeze in place and slowly turn back towards the alley.

Don't do it, he thought to himself, don't be stupid and call out to anyone. Chris was going to just ignore it and move on but he ended up hearing what sounded like someone crying out. He immediately went into defense mode and called out to see if anyone needed help. The witch stepped in the alley, making sure to listen to anything else out of the ordinary.

"Um," Chris cleared his throat before inhaling, "does someone need help?" the boy asked as he continued taking steps into and through the alley. He walked until he was halfway through when everything became eerily quiet and his fight or flight instincts kicked in. Chris turned to run out of the alleyway but was stopped by a forceful kick, sending him flying backwards.

Chris hit the ground with a heavy bang and Athulak appeared in his view, sporting a menacing smile. Chris lifted himself up but once he looked at Athulak, his heart stopped and a surge of tingles was sent through his body. "Oh my fucking God…"

"Sorry, Skythorn," Athulak said while he cracked his neck and knuckles, "but God can't help you after what I'm gonna do to you."

Chris immediately formed a fireball and threw it at Athulak, who ducked out of the way and made a run towards the boy. Chris was getting ready to move out of the way, but the demon waved his hand sending a force of strength towards the Charmed One. Chris was thrown sideways and crashed into a wall, and immediately cried out in pain. "Someone fucking hel-"

Before Chris could finish his cry for help, Athulak had grabbed him by the throat and lifted him into the air, "What's wrong, witch? Got nobody to come to your rescue?" The demon threw Chris at the other side of the alley, this time hitting a chained wall for a gate. The witch dropped forwards and fell onto the ground, making a splash in a puddle. Athulak gave Chris a swift kick in the gut causing the boy to roll over and cry out in intense pain.

Athulak raised his hand in a balled fist and was getting ready to strike, but the demon was met with an iron pipe against the side of his head. He cried out in his own pain and fell to the side. His body slowly started becoming enveloped in blue and white frost while he cried out some obscene words.

Andrew had found Chris after overhearing his cries for help and ran to investigate. The older Charmed One quickly grabbed Chris, who immediately started yelling out in pain. "Someone fucking help me! Evan!"

Orbs flew down in a flash and Evan appeared, looking concerned and horrified. "What the hell happened?!"

Andrew yelled that there was no time to explain and Athulak was starting to defrost. Evan took hold of both brothers, orbing them out of the alley and away from Athulak. After the demon fully defrosted, Athulak stood up and screamed out in frustration.

Hidden in the shadows of her own, Medilyn had been watching the whole fight. She had to admit, the strength of Athulak was impressive, but so was the Charmed Ones, or at least Andrew's power, which she finally got to witness for herself. The female demon smirked viciously before shimmering back over to Demortica's.
