Hey guys! Welcome to my first story. This is a Percy Jackson Story with some slight crossover elements and it will, for the most part follow the canon storyline. I'll be adding in a few pieces of story to try and build some character up.
I got most of my inspiration for this story from 3headed-dragon's stories The dread wolf of the Hunt. This will also be a harem story with at most 5 women and I want at least two of them to be goddesses, doesn't matter what mythos they are from: both greek, one shinto and one norse, doesn't matter.
Anyway, enough rambling, and I hope you enjoy the first chapter of my new story.
(regrettably I don't own percy jackson or any of the crossover characters, only my OC).
It was a warm summer night. The moon was shining brightly down on the nocturnal animals that dwelled in the dense forest. However, it wasn't just animals in the forest that night.
Deep within the center of the forest was a beautiful woman with bright silver eyes, brown hair, D-cup breasts and wide hips. She was currently sweating profusely while she cried tears of joy, holding a small bundle closely to her chest. This was Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt, the Moon, Wildlife, Chastity, and Childbirth. However, despite being the goddess of childbirth, the bundle she currently cradled was the first ever child she'd had. Because of her deep hatred for men, Artemis was still a virgin, but that didn't mean she had a loveless and lonely life. While she may dislike his attitude most of the time, Atremis cares deeply for her twin brother and would gladly fight anyone to protect him. She also has her hunters, other women who had sworn off being with men for a large variety of reasons, and until recently she had her sunlight.
Roughly 10 years ago, she'd meet a demigod by the name Himari Hamano. Himari was a beautiful black haired woman with abnormal bright yellow eyes, C cup breasts and a narrow waist. Himari had been the love of her life, she made her feel things she couldn't even imagine before she'd met her. The light she'd shine on her life everyday was unlike anything she'd ever felt before. It was euphoric. But, that was to be expected, what with her being the daughter of Amaterasu and all, it was literally in her nature to shine brightly after all.
No one on Olympus or even her hunters knew about her relationship with Himari, had Olympus known, Zeus would have put an immediate stop to it. Being the paranoid god that he was, he couldn't handle a god under him being close to another being from a different pantheon. He'd probably think they were plotting against him. And she loathed keeping her happiness from her hunters but she couldn't help but fear what their reaction would be. Of course, Himari wasn't a man but they all swore off relationships, so to see their patron in a relationship, even a lesbian one, might have been a very deep betrayal.
But that doesn't matter now. 7 months ago, Artemis had been on a hunt with her hunters, so she was away from Himari. As much as she didn't really want to leave her love, she had to keep appearances up. But while she was away, Himari was ambushed by a large group of monsters.
She died, taking every last monster that had attacked her down with her. When Artemis returned to the clearing that once held her cabin. The scene that befell her eyes was both awe inspiring and horrifying.
What was once a peaceful and serene clearing with a humble log cabin in the center and a beautiful garden full of exotic wild flowers that were both beautiful and useful. This blissful retreat from her duties, was now a field that looked like the entrance to the underworld. Deep craters, scorch marks, deep gashes in the earth. The humble log cabin, reduced to a few logs that were hardly still standing and actively still. Her and Himari's beautiful garden, reduced to nothing but ashes. And Himari herself was sitting slumped over on the one remaining log that wasn't burnt to a crisp. Cuts covered her body and it was easy to tell that a few of her ribs were likely broken after suffering from blunt force trauma.
Artemis didn't stop crying for a week after finding the scene. After the week was over she got into contact with Amaterasu to let her know that her daughter was killed by monsters. The day of the funeral was full of sorrow and renewed tears for everyone who attended. After the funeral was over, Artemis had spoken to Amaterasu regarding a matter not even her daughter got the opportunity to know about before her untimely demise.
Artemis was pregnant with Himari's child.
Needless to say Amaterasu was beyond shocked that Artemis had somehow gotten pregnant after having sex with her daughter. But she wasn't going to question how, she was fine with being overjoyed at the fact that her daughter had left her a granddaughter, even if she was unaware that she had done so before her death.
However, when the emotions finally died down some, she had many questions as to how she could have gotten pregnant without a man. Artemis wasn't entirely certain, but she had a theory that while they were having sex, her subconscious mind answered her secret desire to have a true family with the woman she loved more than anything. She theorized that while they were having sex, she had tapped into her domain of childbirth and that had inadvertently gotten her pregnant with Himari's child.
Amaterasu had accepted the theory as it had made plenty of sense to her that it would be possible for Artemis to get pregnant if she used her godly domain to do so. With that joy however, soon came apprehension, anxiety, and fear from Artemis. She was worried about her child, due to the rules of her pantheon, she would have to leave them with their mortal parent, but she was gone. So they'd be forced into an orphanage, where they wouldn't ever get to experience the love of family. They'd be alone.
And if that alone wasn't bad enough, because they'd be her only child, monsters would be after them for a large majority of their life. Her child's powerful scent from being the first child of Artemis and the grandchild of Amaterasu would leave monsters practically swarming them their whole life.
She had expressed these worries to her mother-in-law and asked for her help in making sure that her child would be loved and cared for until they could take care of themselves. She asked this of her mother-in-law because she knew that while the Greek gods were very hands-off in raising their demigods, the Shinto were the exact opposite. Every shinto demigod was looked after with care and affection that only a true family could have. They were raised surrounded by family, their parents, uncles, aunts, even grandparents and other demigod cousins.
Hearing her daughter-in-law's heartfelt pleas for help, Amaterasu was more than willing to lend a hand. So together with Artemis, they created a plan that would work best for everyone involved. Artemis would return to the hunt for the time being until it was time for her to give birth. She'd then tell everyone that she was going on a solo hunt, something she does often enough so it wouldn't be suspicious or sudden. She would give birth, spend the maximum amount of time that she could with her child before people start getting worried, and then she would be forced to leave them in Amaterasu's care.
And that's where Artemis currently was. In her temporary camp having just given birth to her baby. Then, she was pulled away from her thoughts when she felt the bundle of cloth she was clutching to her chest start to wiggle around in her arms. She looked down at her newborn son just as he was opening his eyes. Her breath hitched as she looked at her son for the first time. He had small black tufts of hair on top of his head and bright silver eyes with a yellow tint to them.
"My baby." Artemis whispered to her son lovingly.
"My Moonlight. My Haru Tsukino." She said to him with more affection than she'd ever spoken with before. The baby's response was a simple bright smile. The same one his late mother had.
(AN: His name means Light of the Moon)
Artemis couldn't help the tears that appeared in her eyes.
Well there we have it!
