I do not own The Hunger Games.

Andreas Amandiel, 18

"– needs to own up and face all the bloody and violent actions they have enacted, in order to continue progressing! We've stagnated, and look at what happened as a result!" Andreas announced.

His gathering today wasn't big, only about a hundred or so people, but groups on other days had been bigger. And after the events of the simulation, people were looking for answers, explanation, and revenge. Andreas had even seen family members of other players that had died during The Game coming to see him.

"The Hunger Games are a relic of the past. All they do is hold us back! We've made no progress these last ninety five years! Only by putting an end to their barbaric nature can we truly see the darkness in us! Look at how quickly even Capital children turned to bloodthirst when they were in need!"

Uneasy ripples ran through the crowd. No one ever liked that part. They liked to see the glitz and glamor of the Capital, never how it was won.

"We took rulership through blood and suffering! And look at what happened when we forgot that!"

espite some unease, the meeting was another great success. Andreas even ran longer than he usually did. At last he was able to escape with Carnelion and the two retired to their apartment only a little way behind them.

"I think you're getting through to some," said Carnelion.

Andreas groaned as he settled on his sofa. "I hope so."

Because if he wasn't, it would only be a matter of time before the rebels saw they'd got away with it and resorted to something worse, like their own live action Hunger Games.

"People come to see you. They're listening." Carnelion unbuttoned his shirt. "Believe in yourself."

His comm unit buzzed. Andreas reached over and clicked it to preview the message. Iridescence. Missed you today. Hope you're well and your speech went successfully. Next meetup is this weekend, usual place. Would love to see you there. Let me know! xxx

Andreas rolled his eyes and flicked it away. "Ugh. We might have all played the same Game, but that doesn't make us friends."

Carnelion smiled and pressed a kiss to his temple. "Ignore her and block her number. You don't need them."

Andreas kissed him back. "But they are living proof of what those in the Capital can be."

Bloodthirsty.

As brutal as anyone else.

"So are you," Carnelion replied, drawing him into a deeper kisser.

Outside, the first lashings of rain began to strike the window.

So yes, Andreas gets his own epilogue chapter. Why? Because he doesn't really fit in with any of the others, which makes him a great contrast. Andreas is the one character that I knew from the beginning I wanted to survive (unless I ended up with him in a situation where he could have an epic death lol).

Anyhow.

Enough rambling about Andreas.

There's only one more chapter to go, and then Glitch in the System will be complete!

Submissions for the sequel are still open. There's nine positions left (two reserved), and I'm especially looking for the D4F, D7F, and D11M, but the full list of slots without submissions is:

District Two Male

District Three Female

District Four Female

District Five Male

District Six Male

District Seven Female

District Eight Male

District Nine Male

District Eleven Male

You can also submit to slots that do have submissions, in this fic it won't count against you. So if you're interested in being involved in the sequel, check the full details on my profile!
