Please review! Also sorry about the last chapter. I just like writing about silly goofy Annabeth and Leo. :)

Annabeth

She was breaking.

Gone.

Leo hugged her.

He smelled like oil.

He was going to die today.

Dead.

Glassy eyes.

Stiff limbs.

Dead.

Like Percy.

Like Luke.

Like Beckendorph.

Like Silena.

Like Ethan.

Like Lee.

Like so many others.

So many other who couldn't survive.

Who sacrificed like Leo was about to sacrifice.

Leo broke away from her hug.

He gave a sad smile

and the secret that they shared passed between them.

No words.

He was going to die.

Do something.

Annabeth, do something.

It was Percy's voice, speaking in her ear.

He would never let something like this happen.

He would trade places, find a way.

But there was no other way.

Annabeth could not do the things Leo could do and that is why it had to be him.

And there was no Percy.

The voice in her head was not Percy.

She begged the voice to be true but it stopped talking.

Leo walked away.

He walked away and she watched him.

Last chance.

It was gone.

He was gone.

She was such a coward.

She was ashamed of herself and Percy was too.

Who had she become?

A coward.

That's who.
