Erin and Jay were in the bullpen when Jayden appeared, his face wet with tears.

"D-DADDY!" he cried.

Erin and Jay immediately went to him. "Jayden...?" Erin said softly.

Jay quickly picked up his son. "What's going on, little guy?" he asked gently.

Jayden just sobbed harder and clung to Jay.

"Hey, buddy, remember what Dr-Gold told us? Breathe in, breathe out," Jay reminded him, comforting his son.

Jayden took deep breaths and Jay patted his back.

"Come on, little guy. Let's find you some snacks..." Jay suggested.

Jayden leaned against Jay's shoulder, thumb in mouth.

As the breakroom door shut, Jay passed some Oreos to Jayden, who greeted the cookies with a beaming smile and eager bites.

"No! Don't go!" Jayden's words tumbled out in a toddler's babble.

Returning to his side, Jay sat down. "I have to get back to work, kiddo," he responded gently.

Jayden let out a sigh, gripping Jay's hand tightly. "Ten more minutes, then I really must go back," Jay declared.

Jayden's smile returned as he clambered into Jay's lap, chattering away.

Ten minutes flew by, and with Jayden now sound asleep, Jay tiptoed out of the breakroom.

The door closed with a soft click.

Suddenly, Adam's voice boomed, "YO!"

Startled awake, Jayden cried out, "DADDY!"

Jay, frustrated, shot Adam a glare. "Thanks a lot," he muttered sarcastically.

He returned to the breakroom, soothing Jayden back into a peaceful slumber.

Jayden quickly calmed down, and Jay cautiously stepped out of the breakroom again.

"Nobody talk..." Jay whispered.

He closed the door and returned to his desk.

Later, Erin and Jay brought Jayden back to the apartment, where they all fell asleep.
