Beca swallowed thickly and looked down briefly, not sure if she wanted to answer the question. "I told you, I was born here."
"Yeah, but how is that possible? Are both of your parents here? Did they get to raise you? Why aren't you with them?" Stacie asked, tilting her head to the side with a small frown.
Sighing, Beca sat up fully and leaned back against the headboard. "My parents were both sent here at young ages, they got in trouble for different reasons. Mom was sent here because her parents had too many children and they decided to get rid of their oldest. My father was sent here because he was talking about the old world with someone, I don't know who. But they turned him in." taking a deep breath, Beca ran a hand through her hair. "They fell in love and had me, they were able to raise me until a week before my sixteenth birthday, then I was banished to the Bella's house." she explained with a sigh.
Stacie frowned and reached over to squeeze Beca's hand. "I'm sorry to hear that, but at least you don't have to follow the insane worlds over there."
"What really got you sent here?" Beca asked softly, looking up at Stacie, she didn't believe that it was just because of how she dressed.
Biting her lip, Stacie looked down. "I got caught sleeping with a teacher, the teacher claimed that I forced myself onto him, which I didn't. But who's going to believe a seventeen-year-old over an adult?"
"That's messed up, but why were you sleeping with a teacher?" Beca asked, squeezing Stacie's hand.
"It was the only way he was willing to actually give me the grades I deserved." Stacie mumbled with a shrug, looking down. "But when we got caught he quickly blamed it on me."
Shaking her head, Beca moved to lay back down, pulling Stacie down with her. "I'm sorry that happened to you."
"It's whatever, I'm used to people only wanting me for my looks." Stacie admitted with a soft sigh.
Beca instantly frowned and shook her head, nobody should be used to something like that. It wasn't right, especially if Stacie was only seventeen. Holding Stacie closer, Beca sighed softly. She didn't understand what it was about the taller girl, but she had some type of feelings for her and they barely even knew each other.

Aubrey was pacing back and forth, they were meeting to discuss their plans to overthrow the Guardians today, but they had to be careful. If they got caught they could get killed or worse, their families could be banished or killed too.
"Bree, relax." Chloe said softly, moving over to her best friend and squeezing her hand. "We know all of the times they come around, we know the shift change times."
Turning to face the redhead, Aubrey smiled weakly. "I just worry that they are going to catch onto us soon."
"They have no idea what we are doing, it's going to be okay, I promise." Chloe said just as the rest of the groups made their way into the meeting building.
"What's the plan?" Jesse asked as he walked over to them, tilting his head to the side. "Our numbers are growing more and more, soon they're going to want to kill some of us off to lessen the numbers."
Beca cleared her throat and stepped forward. "Training, we are all going to start training to fight." she nodded to Lily who wheeled in a cart full of different types of weapons that had been discarded. "Don't forget we have people on the inside still, they're going to continue giving us information and sneaking us more weapons."
"You have people on the inside?" Stacie asked with a frown, tilting her head to the side. "How?"
Aubrey ran a hand through her hair and took a deep breath. "My father and my brother, some others that they've managed to recruit. Everyone is tired of the Guardians." she said calmly.
"You have a brother?" Emily asked quietly, she was an only child and didn't understand that some people had siblings.
"Half-brother." Aubrey responded, shaking her head before looking towards Beca. "If we are going to be training, then who is going to be teaching us?"
"I am." A deep voice said from the doorway, causing everyone to pause and look up, it was one of the former guards, Oliver Queen.
Everyone's eyes widened when they saw him, he'd been thought dead for years, having disappeared with his father on a mission.
"He's going to get us all trained and ready for battle, we will hopefully be ready in the next few months. And then the Guardians are going to regret everything they've done." Beca said calmly, looking around the room. "We can do this."
