Fred stood tall and proud under a colourful flower arch, looking out at the sea of guests that had come to celebrate the love that he and Hermione shared. His mother sat in the front row already dabbing at her weeping eyes and the ceremony hadn't even started yet, he smiled tenderly at her and cast his eyes to the other guests many of whom his younger self would not expect to attend his wedding.

Over the years they'd developed a varied friendship group, old Dumbledore would have been proud if he could see the inter-house unity that had come about after his death. Fred knew now what he didn't while at Hogwarts, he knew that one should never make a bet against Hermione, the fact that Harry and Draco had gotten together in the wake of the war was testament to that, much to Sirius' chagrin who had never warmed to his cousin's child.

Hermione had been insistent that the two of them had unresolved sexual tension for years and had eventually been proven right when Harry had brought the blonde round to Sunday dinner and introduced him as his boyfriend, thankfully Ginny and Harry had been well and truly over by that point, his younger sister happily dating Blaise Zabini. Ravenclaw's and Hufflepuff's had also merged into the group over the years as his siblings each found their life partners. It was a wonderful thing.

Fred then cast his eyes to the aisle in the centre of the guests just as fluttering fairies began to sing a melodic tune. A bright smile took over his face as he took in the love of his life, her hair was pinned in a gorgeous up do and she wore the most beautiful dress he had ever seen. It seemed to take forever for her to make her way down the aisle to him, on her fathers' arm.

In years to come, Fred didn't remember much of the ceremony, he recalled staring into chocolate eyes that were so filled with love and devotion, he recalled beautiful vows and promises before her sweet lips connected with his in their first kiss as husband and wife. Most of all he recalled feeling complete, happy, knowing that he got to spend eternity with Hermione at his side, which they did.

Hermione made her way up through the levels of the Ministry, becoming the youngest Minister for Magic in history, they travelled the world and WWW went global. They also had a family.

Hermione and he had five children who constantly brought laughter and excitement to their home. Then they had grandchildren and great grandchildren, their house was always full of love and happiness and each generation laughed at the story of how the pair of them had gotten together.

Fred would always be grateful for the potion that removed Hermione's inhibitions, but he liked to think they'd have gotten together anyway even without the magical assist, after all he'd always been crazy about her and had loved her just the way she had been before that week in her Fifth Year.
