Hello All, Burning Will here, Firstly I would like to apologize to the few who actually picked up this little story of mine. It's been ten long years since I wrote those very short chapters Of Portgas D. Ace becoming a Soul when I was a kid. I am indeed happy to say I am ready to return to writing the story. (Hopefully with better punctuation, grammar and spelling)

After returning and reading these old reviews and even some of you asking me if it'll ever continue I feel motivated to continue this story I barely got started. So without further delay let's get to the third chapter!!! (I do not own One Piece or bleach or any of its related material.. I'd be a rich fellow otherwise haha)

- - ( for when passing time or a scene)

(When highlighted like this, the Character in question is inner monologging)

Chapter 3

Ace..Young master Ace?" Mused a raspy matured voice. Upon hearing the voice Portgas D. Ace rose from his slumber, outstretching his arms with a satisfied yawn as he then looks to an old man dressed in pale brown robes a porcelain teapot in his lap as he faces Ace with a concerned look on his face.

"Hey-Hey.. what's the big idea gramps- oh don't tell me.. did Hajime come back to the tea house for round seven?" Ace perking up at the prospect of putting more bandits of Zaraki in their place but immediately after feeling eager for another scrap The old timer interrupts Ace quickly "Don't be ridiculous.." sighed the elder. "You are in deep trouble Ace.. these last ten weeks you've been such a great help to me and my family. However I fear the Soul Reapers are finally onto you."

one of Ace's eyes visibly widen "Now you're the one being ridiculous gramps- having a few fights is hardly going to bother The Soul Reapers this is District eighty after all." Claimed Ace with an air of confidence around him "Now come on let's get the day started already-" Ace continues to chatter away before viewing an unbelievable scene before him as he slides the doors to the tea house "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED OUT HERE?!" He yelled while looking at starving victims laying in various positions that perfectly displays their weakness "You guys- Hey!" Ace rushes over to a villager who's shaking and sweating profusely "what's happening to everyone?"

The Old timer slowly takes a seat on the chipped wooden steps that lead up into the tea house "Can you not tell .. Ace.. the truth is you cannot stay here in Zaraki anymore. What you see before you is caused by your spirit energy." Claims the old timer "Simply put the entirety of district eighty is currently under some kind of unnatural.. Heat wave.." the old timer wipes his forehead as he looks to ace worriedly before continuing his explanation "The fact of the matter is.. your spirit energy has increasingly gotten stronger ever since you arrived in the soul society but for some reason heat is a factor when it comes to your spirit energy." The old man chimed

"Heat huh.." Ace's look of worry turns to that of a small but sorrowful smile "thank you for letting me know but now it seems it's all my fault everyone here could die" Ace huffs in frustration realizing that he had no control over his own spirit energy. The old timer speaks up once more "You just need to leave before the Soul Reapers find you and based on what you're capable of they'll send good ones.. It is likely you'll be imprisoned for endangering so many souls.. either that or they'll scout you to join the soul reaper academy."

Ace visibly cringes at the prospect of being schooled and confined "If I join up with the soul reapers I'll only be joining if it means i can repay you and the people of this village back for all that you have given to me.." He then proceeds to reach down to assist someone but hesitates before stepping away after noticing they are worse off when he gets closer "For now if I wanna help these people I haven't got a choice but to leave.. I need to learn how to control my spirit energy."

Two Days later...

The morning became bright rather early, bathing fields of green by a peaceful river in its light, the river running through the windswept grasslands.

"What a bother" chimed Ace While resting on his back in the grass along a hillside overlooking the river. He pondered for a moment ~I ran out of food yesterday after I gave it away to those starving kids.. but now I need keep on moving towards that Seireitei place and avoid souls with low spirit energy~ he sighed hard before stretching his arms, feeling lighter then he had ever felt while he was alive.

"Luffy... Sabo.." Said Ace as he watched the drifting clouds above while reminiscing his youth as a child with his brothers. He then brushed off his thoughts and rose to his feet before throwing on a robe he once wore in Alabasta Kingdom while travelling with Luffy and adjusting his signature hat. "So much for wanting to use the Bandits in Zaraki to flush out some soul reapers.. my Spirit energy is doing all of that for me.." Ace leapt down from the hillside landing on a patch of grass by the river as his face suddenly contorted while taking an odd look at an unusual building in the middle of the field. Ace spoke quietly to himself "who in the hell would build a house like that.. but then again Luffy would find this pretty cool."

Towering over Portgas D. Ace was a traditional Japanese style home but adorned with giant arms that held up a vibrant banner, He also took note of the odd chimney that seems far too long for such a small structure "So this is it.. Kukkaku Shiba's place , the fireworks specialist of the rukon district" mused Ace as he thinks back to the elder at the tea shop who had told him to seek her out.

"He said she can help. Here goes nothing. Time for me to learn how to use my spirit energy.. and find that shrimp that dumped me here and kick his butt." Ace grins with a newfound goal in mind as he adjusts his hat once more before proceeding down to The Shiba residence.
