( Johnny and Lulu's Bedroom)
after leaving Trina and Johnny to talk, Lulu retired up to their bedroom trying to ignore the excruciating pain in her feet and legs. As Lulu went into the bathroom that was attached to their bedroom, she felt unusually weak. Holding onto the wall, a noticable limp could be seen as Lulu hobbles to her destination. In a flash, Lulu was tumbling to the cold hard ground of their bathroom. Lulu gripped the floor trying to pull herself up, she could feel blood dripping down the side of her forehead. Damn, she must have hit her head on the way down. Everything felt like a blur. Lulu had a few falls recently but, it had been nothing like this. Lulu let out a groan as she managed to flip onto her back, it was everything she could do not to cry out in pain.
(Downstairs)
"Princess, I hate seeing you like this. I wish there was something I could do to make all of this go away." Johnny frowned.
"Technically you could." Trina teased, she was no stranger to what Johnny did for a living.
"That might make family dinner's a little awkward." Johnny chuckled, noticably jumping at a loud sound from upstairs.
"What's wrong? are you okay?* Trina hadn't heard the noise, then again she wasn't able to pay attention to much of anything.
"Yeah, i just thought I heard something." Johnny tried to convince himself that he'd imagined it but, deep down he knew he hadn't.
"I'm going to bed daddy, goodnight." Trina knew that something was wrong but, she didn't want to push the issue.
"alright sweetheart, goodnight. I'll see you in the morning." Johnny kissed the top of her head, before speed walking up the stairs.
"Something is definitely going on. Fuck it, it's time to be nosy. There is something going on that they aren't telling me." Trina slowly crept up the staircase careful not to make a sound, steeling herself against the wall.
(Lulu and Johnny's bedroom)
Johnny burst into the bedroom he shared with his wife, the first thing he saw was blood on the floor of the bathroom. A million thoughts ran through his mind, none of them were good. Johnny mentally prepared himself for what he would find, before walking over to face the music. Lulu lay on her back, blood was dripping down the right side of her face...his wife was making a soft groaning sound. Johnny knew that she'd had a couple of falls recently and that was alarming because Lulu was only fourty two but, they'd both just brushed it off as her being overly tired. This wasn't some little fall, his wife was hurt. Johnny lowers himself on the ground beside her gently picking her up and setting her on the sink, Johnny immediately grabbed the first aid kit and started cleaning the wound.
"It's all a blur. I don't even know how I hit my head." Lulu was slightly slurring her words but, not enough to be alarmed about.
"You're going to the doctor tomorrow. Lu, I told you that you need to go to the doctor. I am taking off of work and we're going to have a day to ourselves. Nobody else. You're under too much stress babe, you aren't invincible." Johnny cupped his wife's face, looking deeply into her eyes.
"Trina?* Lulu glanced at the doorway, surprised.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to pry or invade your privacy. Daddy was acting weird downstairs and I wanted to make sure everything was okay." Trina was standing in the doorway, concern etched into her youthful features.
"It's okay, you were just worried. I've just had a couple of falls, this is the worst one yet." Lulu dismissed Trina's apologies.
"Why haven't you been to the doctor? you're too young for this." Trina tried not to gawk at the news.
"That's exactly what I've been trying to tell Miss independent over here." Johnny sighed, gesturing to his wife.
"Daddy's right, you guys need some time together with no interruption." Trina urged Lulu with her eyes.
"What are you getting at?" Lulu looked from Trina to Johnny.
"You guys are the most active and present parents in the world but, we're all growing up. You guys deserve some time to yourself. I could take care of the house and the family. I think that would really help me, you know. This thing with Nora and Emma has thrown me for a loop, family is what I need right now. I can see it in both of your eyes, your burnt out. Let me help." Trina sighed, she hoped that they would take her up on her offer.
"Trina does have a point, babe." Johnny squeezed Lulu's hand.
"She always does." Lulu slightly smiled, Johnny could see the gears in his wife's head turning.
"Babe, think about it for a minute. I work three jobs, you work two jobs. We have millions of dollars saved up between the two of us. It would be a shame not to use that." Johnny gazed softly at his wife.
"Babe! We could travel. You know I've always wanted to travel the world with the man I love. We've just never really gotten the chance, we might not get another chance to do something like this." Excitement bubbling over, Johnny hadn't seen this side of his wife in a long time.
"You're adorable." Johnny chuckled, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
"So?" Trina gestures ominously, were they going to take her up on her offer?
"Trina, thank you. You have no idea how much we need this." Lulu cautiously got off of the bathroom counter on shaky limbs, hugging her stepdaughter.
"You guys deserve this, it's no problem." Trina hugged her back, her father mouthing "Thank You" over her shoulder. Lulu released Trina slightly stumbling, Johnny's arms encircled her waist.
"I got you." Johnny led her over to the bed, helping her lay down. There was a certain softness to Johnny whenever Lulu was involved, Trina tried to supress her smile.
"That's what I've always wanted, you know." Trina says, both Johnny and Lulu glanced at Trina.
"A hobbling stepmom?" Lulu raised an blonde eyebrow.
"Haha, very funny. I meant what you and daddy share. You are the strongest couple that I've ever known. That's what I've always wanted, you two are so happy together even when your burnt out. I really wanted Nora to be that person for me, it sucks." Trina slightly deflated as she thought about Nora.
"It takes a lot of work, love, patience, understanding and forgiveness. Your dad and I haven't always been this way, there was a time where I didn't think that we'd ever be together again. That was a very dark time in my life. I love Charlotte and Rocco with all my heart you know that but, Being with Dante
