Cody was putting some stuff away in his locker before he felt a tap on his shoulder and he saw Priya behind him.
"April fools!" Priya giggled. "Sorry, Cody, couldn't resist."
"It's okay, Priya." Cody says. Priya smiles, patting his head and walks off.
"Hey, Noah." Cody greets.
"Hey, Cody." Noah smirks.
"Wanna hang out after school?" Cody asks. Noah has a sympathetic look.
"Sorry, bro. Can't. Gotta babysit after school." Noah says.
"Oh, okay, cool, no problem." Cody shrugs. He notices Jen and Tom whispering and giggling about something.
"Hi, Jen, hey, Tom." Cody waves, the two jump up and look at him with wide smiles plastered on their faces.
"Hi, Cody!" They both say simultaneously.
"What's going on?" Cody inquires, curiously. The two smile nervously and back away slowly, still smiling.
"Uh, nothing, bud, just, talking about the weather, trends and stuff." Tom smiles.
"Yeah, gotta run, buddy, fashion awaits, smooches, kiss-kiss!" Jen smiles, waving.
"Bye, April Fool's!" The two quickly disappear.
"Uh, bye." Cody shrugs.
The scene cuts to the field where Brick, Tyler, Geoff, Brody, Raj and Wayne were playing catch outside the field, Julia jogs over to them.
"Hey, Wayner, go long!" Raj's voice can be heard.
"Interception, Rajesh!" Wayne replies back.
"Hey, guys." Julia waves.
"Yo, Julia, what's up?" Tyler greets.
"Oh, nothing much, planning a surprise birthday party for Cody." Julia responds.
"Oh, snap, it's Cody's birthday?!" Geoff asks incredulously, the football hitting him in the head, though, he doesn't react to it.
"Yup," Julia smirks.
"Bra, that is so sick, where and what time?" Geoff asks.
"After school, our place." Julia states.
"You got it, dudes." Brody says.
"We'll be there at the earliest." Brick salutes.
"Be there or be a loser," Julia smirks, walking away. "Laters!"
"You got it!" Tyler gives a thumb's up.
Cody's day couldn't have gone any worse as he leaves the bathroom, however he notices Julia, Jen, Tom, Noah, Dawn, Zoey, Harold, MK, Owen, Ezekiel, Priya, Cameron, Mike, Izzy, Beth, Sam, B, Damien, Millie, Zee, Kitty, Emma and Sierra all talking together and thought it was about high-time for a confrontation, a colorful one at that.
Cody walks over to the group with an emotionless, yet stoic look on his face. They all notice Cody walking towards them and immediately switch up the conversation, or whistle and look away. None of them make eye contact with him so Cody clears his throat to get there attention.
"Oh, hey." Julia acknowledges him with a grin. There's also a mix of "hey's" and "hi's" to him by the others as well.
"Okay, guys, what's going on?" Cody inquires.
"Oh, nothing, Cody, whatever could you mean?" Zoey asks, feigning innocence.
"You've all been avoiding me." Cody says. They all gasp, but Cody stops them.
"Now before you all say anything, I've been getting fudged with all day. I gotten pied in the face, twice, I've been kicked in the balls, reported to the Principal's office and now everyone is avoiding me like the plague!" Cody stated viciously, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Sorry, Cody." Millie said.
"No, I'm the one who's sorry." Cody began softly.
"Wha~?" MK was about to say.
"I'm sorry if my existence is too much or not good enough for you all." Cody spoke dishearteningly.
"No, that's not~!" Mike spoke.
"And I'm sorry that I'm not cool enough to even be noticed or acknowledged just once, but when I am, I'm just an object used as a scapegoat people can ostracize and should be crucified because I don't like the mistreatment!" Cody's tone growing from remorseful to ire.
"Don't say that~" Cameron spoke.
"But you can all acknowledge that today is April Fool's day so much that you forgot today was my birthday!" Cody shouted.
"But, Codykins~" Sierra tried to speak.
"I can't believe you all!" Cody angrily shouts, before realizing what he said. "I-I..."
"Cody~" Beth spoke. Cody backed away from them.
"I'm sorry, I am so, so sorry!" Cody apologizes remorsefully, before storming off. Everyone watches with solemn, guilty and remorseful looks.
"Whoa, what'd you all do to him?" Sammy inquired incredulously, as she, Bridgette, Dakota, Lindsay and Ella walk over.
"Nothing, we swear!" Emma said defensively. "He just went off and left... and maybe he had the right to." She adds solemnly. Crimson and Ennui emerge from the shadows and walk over to the group.
"We heard what happened, is everyone okay?" Ennui asks in his monotone voice.
"We were passing by and heard commotion so we couldn't help but watch from the shadows." Crimson says, in her monotone voice.
"We're okay, guys, thanks. It's Cody, today is his birthday today/ We're planning on surprising him, but it's also April Fool's Day. We were only pretending to forget so he doesn't catch on, y'know?" Julia explains.
"But with it being April Fool's day, Cody was on the receiving end of slapstick and misfortune." Crimson assesses.
"Which only further contributed to Cody's depression and angst, as well as his building resentment towards April Fool's day?" Ennui adds.
"Yeah!" They all said simultaneously.
"That's dreadful as hell." Ennui and Crimson say simultaneously.
"I've never seen Cody so... furious." Sammy comments.
"Will he be okay?" Beth asked.
"I'm sure it's nothing a song wouldn't fix." Ella grins.
"It's more serious then we think, Ella. Beneath Cody's normally golden aura is a deep red and deep blue aura of hurt, despair, despondency and indignation." Dawn expressed.
"Which means?" Dakota inquires, confused. Dawn sighs and looks at her.
"In laymen's terms, Cody is deeply scarred and hurting." Dawn explains. "He will be okay, but all he needs now more than anything is love, and someone who'll listen."
"His pain is also my pain." Crimson says.
"Mine too." Ennui nods.
"Don't worry, just keep him busy." Julia assured. "The rest of you follow us."
"I'm on it." Kitty smiled before running after him.
"Grr, I'm such an idiot." Cody grumbles to himself.
"Hey, Cody, wait up!" Cody turns around to see Kitty running up to him. "Are you okay?"
"I'm okay." Cody sighs despondently.
"You don't seem okay." Kitty acknowledges in a soft voice and puts her hand on his shoulder. "What's the matter?"
"Today is my birthday, except it's also April Fool's Day~" Cody began.
"Oh my gosh, really?" Kitty squealed.
"Yeah." Cody nods.
"How come you're not in a good mood?" Kitty inquires.
"My parents always forget about me, you see, my mom in particular, almost doesn't have time for me." Cody spoke in a serious yet soft tone, Kitty nods. "It's been like that for a while, heck, it's gotten to a point where even I forgotten my own birthday, yet it's April Fool's Day. Can't forget about that, right? I guess I'm just mad no one's acknowledged me or they forget about me entirely."
"Aw, I'm sorry." Kitty hugs him. "Do you want to go to your house?"
"I don't know, Kit." Cody sits down in the grass. "Going back home, I feel alone when I'm home alone... and besides it's not like there's anything going on anyway, right, like a surprise waiting for me when I get back?"
"Heh, yeah, right." Kitty laughs, as she sits down in the grass next to him.
The scene transitions to Julia and the group at their house with food, drinks and snacks all set up.
"Okay, dudes and dudettes, let's move it! We're gonna give Cody the best birthday ever!" Geoff encourages.
"Yeah, alright! Let's bust out the party hats, people!" Jen shouted through a megaphone, giggling.
"Move it, people!" Tom chuckled, shouting through another megaphone.
"S'yeah, rock on, dudes and dudettes!" Brody cheers.
"Perfect." Julia smiles proudly at everything.
"You're being pretty nice for allowing Geoff the honor of assisting this massive birthday." Bridgette smirked.
"Eh, why not, right?" Julia shrugged.
"You think CJ a bitch?" CJ's voice is heard from the television. Julia and some others hear this and look over in question. MK can be heard snickering and is shown to be playing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
"Yeah, take that, jackass." MK snickers.
"Yo, MK, come and help me monitor everything." Julia calls out.
"In a minute!" MK responds back.
"MK, get off that game and help us with these balloons!" Priya voice is heard off-screen.
"Okay, mom!" MK pauses the game and gets off the couch and scurries over. She rushes back and puts it on the game's audio screen and goes to the CSR 103.9 (Contemporary Soul Radio) radio station where Soul to Soul's "Keep On Movin'" plays.
"Had to bust out the jams." MK smirks and runs over. The scene transitions back to Kitty and Cody.
"Come on, I think you're gonna like this one." Kitty reassures as she takes Cody's hand pulls him up to his feet. "Trust me."
"Alright, let's go." Cody nods and allows himself to be dragged to his house by her. Eventually, they reach his house.
"Brace yourself, Cody." Kitty giggles. Cody grabs the knob and opens the door gently.
"Happy Birthday, Cody!" Everybody shouted as he walked in. Cody was mentally unprepared for all of this and was feeling a multitude of feelings and emotions right now, he was skeptical, awestruck, surprised, shocked beyond belief, he nearly passed out. In fact he did just about that. Everyone looked down at him with either worry, amusement or concern expressions.
"Oh no, Colby isn't dead is he?!" Lindsay cried.
"No, Linds." Beth answered.
"Oh, so he's just taking a nap?" Lindsay inquires, causing some to either facepalm in indignation, sigh in annoyance or shake their heads in exasperation. "What?"
"...Lindsay." Gwen sighs.
"April fools?" Lindsay giggled in embarrassment.
"Really, Lindsay?" Bridgette inquired.
"Oh, I was only kidding, I knew Cody passed out, I swear." Lindsay insisted.
"Hm," Scary Girl hums, pulling out a marker and got a mischievous look on her face.
The scene cut to black and was now shown from Cody's perspective as his eyes slowly opened, his vision blurry to the sight of enlarged, distorted and indistinct figures looming over him.
"Cody?" Sierra's distorted voice was heard. Cody vigorously shook his head and regained his eyesight to show the figures in the form of Sierra, Noah, Bridgette, Owen, Scary Girl, Julia, MK, Millie, Priya, Damien, Geoff, DJ, Trent, Gwen, Sammy, Brick, Zoey, Dawn, Sky, Tom, Jen and Brody looking down at him with soft smiles.
"Welcome back to earth, Cody." MK smirked.
"..." Cody squints his eyes and sits up. Unbeknownst to him, there is a mustache drawn on his face, courtesy of Scary Girl.
"You're a funny little dude, aren't ya?" Ashley teased.
"No, I'm an April fool." Cody joked. Everybody laughs, including himself. Scary Girl kneels down to Cody.
"By the power vested in me, Cody is alive!" Scary Girl announces playfully then she hugs him.
Cody couldn't help but tear up a bit to be regarded with pleasure or amusement, as with a smile.
"Nice one, Kit-Kat." Emma smirks.
"Thanks, Em." Kitty grins.
"But how?" Cody inquires. They point to MK and Julia.
"Thank you." Cody rushes over and hugs MK and Julia tightly, causing them to blush happily.
"Oh, don't thank us." MK smiled.
"Yeah, thank Sierra, it was mostly her idea." Julia shrugs, causing Sierra to blush.
"Oh, well-" Sierra was gonna say, before interrupted by Cody hugging her tightly, he also leans up and kisses her cheek.
"Thank you, Sierra, this means a lot to me, really, thank you." Cody says softly.
"Oh, you're welcome, Cody-Wody. Anything to make you happy." Sierra smiles and gives Cody a sloppy kiss on his forehead and pulls him in for a bearhug.
"Happy birthday, little dude." Geoff says putting his cowboy hat on Cody's head.
"This is actually pretty nice of you guys." Cody smiled.
"Geoff always has an excuse to want to throw a party." Bridgette smirked.
"It'a all good, Bridge~" Cody laughs, but then feels something on his face and notices the mustache drawn on him and immediately shoots a knowing look at Scary Girl "Lauren!"
"April Fool's and happy birthday, Cody." Scary Girl grins wickedly.
"And we have another surprise for you, Cody, look who's home..." Julia smirks as she opens the door to reveal Blaineley walking in.
"Mom?" Cody asked.
"Happy birthday, sweetheart." Blaineley holds her arms out and Cody rushes over to her and the two embrace each other.
Later that night...
The sound of giggling can be heard as well as shushing and whispering. Cody eyes opened to see Scary Girl in his face.
"Hi." Scary Girl smiled.
"What the?" Cody jolted backwards and looked up to see some of the other girls.
"It's about time you woke up, we were having so much fun with you." Julia snarked.
"AAAAHHHHHH!" Cody screamed and runs out of Julia's room.
"What a guy." Izzy chuckles. Cody runs into his room and closes his door shut.
"Hello, Cody." A voice said. Cody looks up to see Jen laying on his bed, naked.
"Jen, what the heck are you doing here?" Cody inquired while averting his eyes.
"Oh, nothing, chilling." Jen replies nonchalantly as she stretches and curls her toes.
"Uh..." Cody runs into his bathroom. Jen snickers to herself, finding his reaction cute.
"Sorry, Cody, couldn't resist." Jen smirks, as she gets up and puts her pajamas on.
"It's okay." Cody leaves the bathroom with tissues in his nostrils.
"Come on, let's turn up!" Jen grabs his hand and they jump on the bed.
The camera zooms into his Cody's eye and zooms out to show Cody sitting in the lliving room with all his friends, watching WWE.
"Thank you, again, guys..." Cody smiles.
"You're welcome, Cody." They all say simultaneously.
"I-I love you all." Cody says.
"We love you too, Cody." They all say. With that, they all prepare to enjoy wrestling.
