The Luckiest Femme In The World

Katie was in the kitchen with her dad, Optimus Prime, one morning as the Autobot Leader was in his holoform making breakfast and the little girl was working on putting together a card for her mother. It was Mother's Day and Optimus had suggested surprising Elita with breakfast in bed. Katie had loved the idea and had worked on a project in school to give to the femme.

She put the finishing touches on the card and then gazed at the other two items beside her. The art teacher had taught them how to make roses from pipe cleaners and tissue paper and had helped the students out with it too. Katie had selected rose pink and made six roses with the art teacher's help.

And then, the little girl had asked the art teacher for some extra art supplies. "I want to make my mommy a vase for these roses," she said.

The art teacher had thought that was a wonderful idea and declared that she'd be back the next day with items to do vases. She had kept her word and returned many items that could be uses to make vases. The kids had a blast with it.

Katie had taken a small box and first covered it with popsicle sticks. She then stuck foam hearts and foam flowers on it before putting the roses she had made the other day into the vase, but frowned as something seemed to be missing.

The art teacher noticed. "What's wrong, Katie?" She asked curiously.

"Something's missing, but I don't know what," the child said, looking sad.

The teacher looked at the project and hummed thoughtfully before she perked up. "I know," she said. "May I try something?"

Katie nodded and the art teacher took some green tissue paper and removed the roses, carefully tucking the tissue paper in the homemade vase and then put the flowers back in. "There, how about that?" She asked.

The child perked up as it did look better. "Oh, wait," she said and quickly got a foam heart, carefully writing 'Happy Mother's Day, Mommy' on it and then attaching the heard to a popsicle stick and carefully sticking it among the flowers. "There," she said.

"That looks beautiful, Katie," the art teacher said. "Your mother will love it."

Now, Katie made sure the homemade flowers were sitting right and picked up the small box of chocolates that her uncle had picked up for her to give to Elita. "I'm ready, Daddy," the little girl said.

"And breakfast is ready too," he said, gathering it on a tray. "Alright, get Mommy's presents and we'll go surprise her."

The little girl grabbed the gifts and the two went into the bedroom. The femme's holoform was asleep in a human sized bed and she woke up at feeling her daughter climbing up on the bed. "Good morning, Mommy," she said happily.

"Good morning, Sweetspark," Elita said as she sat up and saw her mate come in with breakfast. "What's this?" She asked with a smile.

"It's Mother's Day," Optimus replied. "Katie and I wanted to treat you to breakfast in bed."

Elita was touched by this thoughtful act. "Oh, it looks yummy," she said.

Katie giggled. "We got gifts for you too, Mommy," she said.

The femme smiled. "Oh?" She asked before seeing the items her daughter carried. She accepted them, amazed at the homemade flowers and the vase. "These are beautiful."

"My art teacher helped me with it. She taught us how to make the roses in school," the little girl said.

"Thank you, sweetie," she said. "And my favorite chocolates and a card too? My, you two are spoiling me."

"You deserve it, my love," Optimus said.

Elita smiled. "Come join me for breakfast, my loves," she said.

The family ate breakfast in bed together and watched a movie. No one disturbed them as Optimus had asked that no one disturb his mate for the day and the others had agreed.

For the rest of the day, Optimus and Katie made sure Elita had a wonderful day. They all went for a walk in the rose garden that had opened up and learned how to make flower crowns.

Elita picked up some flowers and made a flower crown, placing it on her daughter's head. "There. A crown fit for a princess," she said, making Katie giggle.

Something was placed on her head. "And a crown fit for a queen," Optimus said as he had placed a rose crown on her head.

Katie gasped. "Mommy, it's your colors!" She said.

Elita looked in the mirror provided and gasped as she realized her daughter was right. "It's beautiful," she said.

"Just like you, my love," he said, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

The lady at the flower table smiled. "I never get tired of seeing this," she said.

They went to a restaurant for lunch and the owners had gone with a flower theme for Mother's Day, leading the family to a private room with a private table and it was decorated just like a rose garden. "Oh, my," Elita said in amazement. "I feel like I just stepped into a fairy tale."

"You're not the only person to think that," the waiter said, smiling. "We've had several of our guests say that too today."

Optimus smiled. When he had called ahead to reserve a table for today's lunch, he had suggested the rose garden idea to the owners, having seen Elita look at some pictures of some in some magazines on the base. The owner had loved the idea and it seemed to be a huge hit.

Elita kissed her mate. "I'm very lucky to have such a wonderful mate and a wonderful sparkling as my family," she said.

"And we are lucky to have you as our family, my love," he said.

They went to the movie theater to watch a movie and then to another fancy restaurant for dinner. Katie felt a bit sleepy after dinner and Elita smiled, scooping up her daughter and carrying her as Optimus thanked the owners and they headed out to watch the sunset and see the first stars come out.

Katie hugged her mother. "Mommy, did you have a good day?" She asked.

"Yes, I did," Elita said. "Because I have the best gifts of all."

"The flowers?" The little girl asked.

"Nope, though they are lovely."

"The chocolates?"

"Even better than those."

"The lunch and dinner?" Optimus guessed.

"Nope, but they were yummy," Elita said before smiling. "The best gifts I have are my wonderful mate and my beautiful daughter."

Katie giggled and Optimus chuckled, hugging his mate and kissing her. "Happy Mother's Day, my love," he said.

"Happy Mother's Day, Mommy," the little one in the pink femme's arms said.

Elita smiled. "Thank you both, my loves," she said as the stars and moon shone above them all.
