A Day For His Favorite Aunts

Hatty scoped out the spa that he was outside of, watching some people in there getting facials and enjoying the jacuzzis. He nodded as he looked at the options and browsed it carefully before he found one he was certain that the two people he had in mind would love. He knew it wouldn't be easy and he would need the heroes to clear out of the area.

Thankfully, that was being taken care of at the moment, he hoped.

Suddenly, a call came in on his communicator.

"Hey, Hatty. It's Scarecrow," The gray-scaled Scarecrow said. "I finished my mentor's request and bought you less than thirty minutes. Whatever you got planned before the Dark Knight shows up, I suggest doing it now."

"Thank you, Scarecrow. I appreciate the help," Hatty replied from the other line. "Meet back with the others immediately."

"Copy that."

Smiling, he then motioned to the alleyway and two people he had met with earlier came out, curious as to what Hatty had in mind since his visit to them earlier.

A couple hours ago...

Hatty smiled as he arrived at the place where his two aunts, Harley and Pamela, better known as Ivy, lived. It was the anniversary of when the two had taken him in after Jervis Tech had sacrificed himself to keep his nephew/son safe. The two women had at once stepped up to look after him and he was grateful to them for that.

So grateful that he wanted to do something special for them for the anniversary. He had been scoping out a local spa and after seeing some people go in and then rave about how good it was, not to mention how many people online were saying that they felt like new people after going to the spa, he wanted his aunts to enjoy it too.

He had an idea to do so too and knew Scarecrow wouldn't let him down. A bonus was that Clock King and Penguin were about too and Hatty wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Arriving at his aunts' door, he knocked on it and Harley opened it, gasping as she saw who it was. "Hatty!" She exclaimed, scooping him up into a hug and spinning around in a circle. "Ivy! Look! It's Hatty!"

The young man held on as his aunt spun him around more and then kissed his forehead repeatedly in an affectionate way. "Oh, sweetie! You came to see little old us?" She said, happy to see her nephew.

Hatty chuckled and hugged his aunt. "Hi, Aunt Harley," he said. "And of course I had to stop by and see my favorite aunts."

Ivy smiled as she went up and hugged him. "Hey, kiddo," she said, smiling. "What brings you here today?"

"Well, today is the day you two took me in back then," he said.

"Oh, that's right!" Harley said, a smile on her face. "Hard to believe it's already been that long. And I don't regret it one bit."

"Neither do I," Ivy said. "Well, how about I make something special for the occasion?"

"Actually, Aunt Ivy, I have something in mind that I think you two will like," Hatty said.

"Really? Oh, you know I love surprises!" Harley squealed happily.

"What is it?" Ivy asked, curious.

"You'll have to come with me and see," Hatty said.

Just then, happy laughter came from the hall as in bounded two hyenas. Seeing Hatty, they raced up to him and jumped on him, knocking him back to the ground before they licked his face, still giggling.

"Awww! Bud and Lou missed you too!" Harley said as Hatty laughed and petted the two hyenas before gently pushing them off of him. Spade, the fox that was Hatty's companion, jumped out and on the couch to avoid getting squished.

"Oh, sorry about that, Spade," Ivy said, giving the fox a gentle pet before Harley clapped her hands twice and gave a low whistle for Bud and Lou to come to her.

The two hyenas sat down at her feet and she cooed over them. "Who are my good babies?" She cooed to them. "I hope they can come with us. I don't feel right leaving my babies behind."

Hatty knew what his aunt meant as he always had Spade with him and couldn't bear the thought of leaving her somewhere else as he went off to do some things. Not only that, she was his little helper. "Of course they can come, Aunty," he said. "I'll even keep an eye on them for you."

"You're so sweet, Hatty!" Harley said, giving him another hug. "So where are we going? Do we need to dress up fancy?"

"No, no. Just casual," he said.

"Casual?" Ivy asked before seeing her nephew smile. "Is what you have in mind incognito?"

"Yes," the boy said. "Don't worry, Aunt Ivy. I have it under control."

"Alright," she said, smiling.

Present moment...

Hatty walked into the room and immediately placed the staff under his control to keep them from panicking and calling the police. "There," he said before looking at the owner as his aunts came in, amazed at the place. "I would like for my aunts to have the ultimate spa package, please," he said to the attendant at the counter.

"Of course, sir," said the lady. "Right this way, please."

"A spa?!" Harley said, amazed as she squealed happily. "I've always wanted a spa day!"

"Looks like our amazing nephew arranged this for us," Ivy said.

Harley hugged her nephew. "Oh, you are the best, kiddo!" She said.

He chuckled as he was glad that the staff were hypnotized and no one else was there. He turned to one of the workers under his control. "Please close up the spa for however long the ultimate spa package runs for," he said.

"As you wish, sir," the worker said, doing so and hanging up the closed sign.

As they were taken to their private rooms, Harley petted the hyenas. "Now you both be good for Mommy and mind Hatty," she said before looking at her nephew. "Not that I doubt you, but are you sure you're okay with watching over them for a bit?"

"I am, Aunt Harley. I promise," the young man said. "You go enjoy the spa."

"Alright," she said before going into the room and Ivy went into another room.

Hatty kept an eye out for the Bat family and the other heroes, but so far, everything was calm. Bud and Lou were curious, but both the young man and Spade kept them from making a mess or attacking the hypnotized staff.

But little did Hatty know...danger was lurking around the corner.

Also, the scene with Hatty and the hyenas jumping on him at the apartment was inspired by the scene in Disney's The Sword And The Stone with Arthur and the dogs. This scene was later reused in Disney's The Jungle Book with Mowgli and the wolves. :)
