The sun was setting over the horizon, casting a warm glow upon the group of friends as they drove through the countryside. Yugi, Téa, Joey, and Tristan had just wrapped up the intense Battle City tournament, and they were in desperate need of some downtime. But little did they know, their relaxation was about to take a detour into chaos.
"Hey, Tristian, are you sure we're going the right way?" Joey asked, peering over the map that Tristian was holding.
"Of course, I'm sure! I've got the map right here," Tristian replied confidently, holding the map upside down.
Téa stifled a giggle from the backseat as Joey rolled his eyes. "I think maybe we should let someone else navigate," Téa suggested, reaching forward to grab the map from Tristian.
But just as she did, Joey's phone rang, the loud ringtone cutting through the peaceful countryside.
"Ugh, not again," Joey groaned, glancing at the caller ID. "It's my sister."
"Maybe you should answer it, Joey. She might be worried about you," Yugi suggested from the passenger seat.
Joey reluctantly answered the call, trying to focus on driving as his sister bombarded him with questions and updates about their mom's latest antics.
Meanwhile, Téa tried to steal a moment of relaxation by leaning in closer to Yugi. But just as she did, Yugi's demeanor shifted, and he transformed into Yami, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Looks like you're not getting any alone time with Yugi, Téa," Yami teased, reverting back to little Yugi with a smirk.
Téa pouted playfully, swatting at Yugi's arm. "You're such a tease, Yami!"
As the group continued on their journey, they finally arrived at their destination—a secluded camping spot deep in the woods. They began setting up camp, laughing and joking as they worked together to pitch tents and gather firewood.
But just as they settled in, they heard the unmistakable sound of an approaching aircraft. The group looked up in surprise to see a sleek, blue jet descending towards them.
"What the...?" Joey muttered, shading his eyes against the sun to get a better look.
As the jet landed gracefully nearby, the group watched in disbelief as Seto Kaiba emerged, dressed in surprisingly casual attire.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Kaiba said, his trademark smirk firmly in place as he surveyed the group.
Joey's expression darkened immediately. "What's he doing here?" he muttered under his breath.
Tristan crossed his arms defiantly. "We don't want any trouble, Kaiba. You can just turn that jet around and leave."
But Kaiba simply ignored Tristan, his attention focused solely on Yugi's group. "I hope you don't mind, but I've taken the liberty of renting out this entire area for myself and my little brother."
Yugi exchanged a confused glance with his friends. "But we were here first..."
Kaiba shrugged nonchalantly. "Not anymore. I suggest you find somewhere else to camp."
Joey's temper flared, and he took a step forward, fists clenched. "You can't just come in here and take over everything, Kaiba! What do you think you are, some kind of king?"
Kaiba raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by Joey's outburst. "I don't owe you an explanation, Wheeler. But if you must know, yes, I am the king of Duel Monsters."
"Too bad, Yugi is, rich-boy," Joey mocked with a taunting smirk.
"Shut up, Wheeler!"
Yugi stepped in, trying to diffuse the tension. "Come on, guys, let's not ruin our relaxation time. We can find another spot."
But Téa held up a hand, her expression determined. "No, Yugi. We were here first, and we're not going to let Kaiba bully us out of our spot."
Tristan nodded in agreement, standing tall beside his friends. "She's right. We're not going anywhere so take a hike, Kaiba."
Kaiba smirked, clearly enjoying the confrontation. "Suit yourselves, losers. But don't say I didn't warn you."
With that, he turned on his heel and headed back towards his jet, leaving Yugi's group seething with frustration.
As the group worked to set up their campsite, Joey's frustration with Kaiba continued to simmer just below the surface. He muttered curses under his breath, his hands clenching and unclenching as he replayed their encounter over and over in his mind.
"I swear, if I ever see that jerk again, I'll duel him into the ground," Joey grumbled, stabbing angrily at the ground with a tent peg.
Tristan chuckled, shaking his head. "Careful what you wish for, Joey. You've lost to Kaiba twice before, remember? In Duelist Kingdom and Battle City."
Joey groaned, shooting Tristan a glare. "Thanks for reminding me, Trist. Now I feel even worse."
As they bickered, their campsite was suddenly illuminated by a blinding glare. The group shielded their eyes, blinking rapidly as they tried to adjust to the sudden brightness.
"What the heck is going on?" Téa exclaimed, squinting against the glare.
As their vision cleared, they saw the source of the light—a series of giant floodlights set up around their campsite, casting everything in stark relief.
"Who did this?" Tristan demanded, his voice tinged with annoyance.
Laughter echoed through the clearing, and the group turned to see Kaiba and his little brother, Mokuba, approaching them with smug grins on their faces.
"You've got to be kidding me," Joey muttered, rolling his eyes.
Kaiba's arrogance was palpable as he strode forward, his gaze sweeping over the group with thinly veiled disdain. "I hope you don't mind the extra lighting. We wouldn't want any monsters sneaking up on us in the dark, now would we?"
"We were here first, Kaiba. You have no right to barge in and disrupt our camping trip," Téa snapped, her hands planted firmly on her hips.
Kaiba sneered, his lip curling in disgust. "I don't recall asking for your permission, Téa. This is my area now, and if you don't like it, you can leave."
Joey snorted derisively. "Yeah, like we're gonna let you push us around. You couldn't even beat Yugi in a fair duel, let alone in your own tournament, Kaiba."
Kaiba's eyes narrowed dangerously, a low growl rumbling in his throat. "You want to test me, Wheeler? Fine. I'll put you in your place once and for all."
"You're on, rich-boy!" Joey grinned cockily, accepting the challenge without hesitation. But before their duel could begin, the group was interrupted by a familiar chuckle.
They turned to see none other than Maximillion Pegasus, the eccentric creator of Duel Monsters, strolling towards them with a fishing pole slung over his shoulder.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Pegasus said, his voice dripping with amusement as he surveyed the scene before him.
"Pegasus?!" Yugi's group shouted in surprise.
Kaiba's expression darkened at the sight of Pegasus, his disdain evident in every line of his face. "What are you doing here, Pegasus? Can't you just go away and be irrelevant elsewhere?"
Pegasus chuckled as he glanced at the group.
