IRL update
So, I'm not home. I actually left on a trip out of town, about a week ago but I haven't been able to head home yet. I miss my bed, but I have to stick around for a while more.
This fic was supposed to be part of five older fics updates.
The other fics that were supposed to be the main part of this upload were
Spark of a predacon
Lunar Legacy
Heroes of Legend
Journey of a Legend
And a nice hotel to haunt
Unfortunately, all of them are on a device that I did not bring with me. I didn't bring it because this trip was only supposed to be 2 days and the chapters of the fics mentioned are still not finished (close though). This one was on my phone and I was able to fiddle with it and make this.
Anyway, hope you like this.
Chapter 1: A normal day for them.
The sun rose in the sky, signaling the start of a new day.
Many denizens of Konoha were opening their eyes as streaks of light poked through curtains and into bedrooms.
One pair of eyes opened up as they were hit by the streaks of light.
A groan was heard as the one sleeping in the bed brought a pillow up to block the sun. Unfortunately, the alarm went off and a growl was heard before the alarm was picked up and thrown to the wall. "I hate that thing." With no other reason to stay in bed, it was decided that it was time to get up. Looking out the window, another groan was heard before and a sigh followed. "Another long day, might as well get started."
Naruto was sitting on the desk as he rested his chin in his palm as it leaned on his knees. "I'm telling you, Shikamaru, Iruka is trying to kill us. There is no other explanation."
Shikamaru sighed as he looked up at Naruto. "I'd believe you, if it wasn't for the fact that we are still breathing."
Naruto dropped his hand and leaned forward with both arms on his knees. "just wait, one of us will drop dead from listening to all of his droning." He threw himself back and laid on the desk in an over dramatic fashion.
Choji munched on one of his chips as he watched Naruto act out his death. "Well, you don't have to go through this much longer. we are graduating tomorrow."
Naruto sat up and smiled brightly at the idea of leaving this tortuous prison.
"With how your jutsu skills are, it'd be a miracle if you get a passing grade."
Naruto glared at Sasuke before he jumped off the desk and got in his face. "You got something to say?!"
Sasuke glared back at Naruto as they were now in each other's faces. "I said it, didn't I?"
Sparks were clashing around them as they were close to starting a fight.
Kiba laughed in excitement as he was ready to watch a fight start up. "Money on Sasuke."
Hinata walked up from behind him. "Kiba, you shouldn't bet on your friends fighting."
Kiba looked at her and shrugged. "Hey, they're gonna fight anyway. Might as well get something more out of it than a good show."
Many of the other students were starting to cheer for the upcoming fight with one side betting on Sasuke, and a few betting on Naruto. Not out of animosity, but more because they knew Sasuke had more skill.
When it looked like one of them was about to throw the first punch at the other, they all froze before letting out a sigh of disappointment, all at the same time.
Naruto, though, smirked as he leaned back. "Well, looks like I don't have to do anything."
Sasuke groaned as he heard what the others did.
The sound of rumbling started to increase in volume, Shaking the room, signifying that something was getting closer.
Sasuke moved to his seat and slumped as he knew what was coming next. 'Every time.'
The sound was then replaced by the loud sound of the door opening and two girls were seen trying to get inside.
"Move it, Forehead, I'm sitting next to Sasuke today!" Ino Yamaaka shoved her elbow into Sakura's cheek as she tried to get past the girl's arms.
"in your dreams Ino-pig, that spot is mine." Sakura had her leg wrapped around one of Ino's and was shoving her palm into Ino's head.
Naruto chuckled as he began to walk away from where Sasuke sat and waved over his shoulder. "Well, I'll leave them to you, Sasuke. Enjoy."
Sasuke grumbled as he glared at the back of Naruto's head. "I hate you."
Naruto chuckled as he made his way to the back.
Sasuke wished he could move, but it had become a thing that no matter where he moved to, the people that sat next to him would go somewhere else. Sure, some of the girls would swoon when he sat next to them, but the sound of the coming duo always made them rethink staying in their spot. So no matter what, Sasuke was doomed. That is why he always sat at the end of the row, so he would only deal with one of them. But when he started doing that, it became a competition for the two to see who would get that spot.
The two girls finally burst through the door, falling to the ground in a heap, as Iruka walked up behind them.
"Please take your seats, you two."
Sakura and Ino looked up at the teacher and nodded before looking up to see the spot next to Sasuke open. They both got up and ran toward it, with Sakura winning by tripping Ino.
Sakura sat next to Sasuke with hearts in her eyes and her fists at her chin, with Ino behind her in the same manner as they looked at Sasuke.
Sasuke groaned as floating hearts came off them and kept bonking on his head.
Naruto watched this happen and let out a sigh before he looked up at Iruka and Mizuki standing at the front of the class. He groaned as the lesson began and Naruto had a thought. 'The one that might die from this could be me.'
Naruto and Sasuke faced off with each other as it was time for a sparring session and the two of them were chosen to duel.
Naruto charged at Sasuke and threw a right hook at him.
Sasuke blocked the punch and began to step back as Naruto went on the offensive, throwing a flurry of fists at him. He tilted his head as a fist flew by it and used his palm to deflect the other. He felt the knuckle graze his face as he remained on the defensive. 'He's gotten better.'
Everyone watched as Sasuke kept stepping back and parrying all of Naruto's attacks. Cheers were heard for both sides with one side rooting for Naruto and the other rooting for Sasuke.
Sakura was watching the fight as she couldn't tell who was going to win this match.
Ino noticed the look Sakura was giving and put her hands on her hips. "What's with you, Forehead? you look like you aren't sure that Sasuke is gonna win."
Sakura looked at the Yamanaka and shook her head. "I'm just keeping my eyes on the match. It's obvious that Sasuke is gonna win, but you never know what Naruto is gonna do."
Ino rolled her eyes as she looked back at the match. "Sure, Naruto is pushing Sasuke back, but I know for a fact that Sasuke is gonna win this."
Sakura looked back to the match, just in time to see Sasuke pivot to the side before he brought his hand up to push on Naruto's nape, causing the momentum the blonde had to have him flip in the air and land on his back. "Looks like you were right."
Naruto found himself flipping backward thanks to Sasuke, throwing him off his feet. He growled as he didn't want to lose like this and reacted on instinct. He turned his foot, just as it was passing Sasuke's head, and hooked it on the back of Sasuke's neck.
Sasuke didn't know what happened but he felt something on the back of his neck push him forward. Seeing a chance to get ahead, he threw his hand forward to catch himself and pulled his other hand back into a fist to strike at Naruto.
Naruto saw what Sasuke was doing and he threw his hand back to do the same thing and meet the attack.
Iruka raised his hand. "Alright, that's enough!"
Everyone was surprised to see that both of them were on the ground when the time ended and they wanted to know who won.
Sasuke was holding himself up with his right hand with his left fist back and Naruto was laying on the ground with his fist stretched to the side since it was forced that way since his elbow hit the ground.
They all looked to Iruka as he would say who did better in the spar.
Iruka walked up to the two kids, who had gotten up and looked at each other, as he looked at his clipboard. "Alright, Sasuke, you were on the defensive for most of the match and this is good to understand your opponent's movements and can find an opening. Not only that, it is different from how you normally fight which tells me that you are trying to expand your repertoire."
Sasuke gave Naruto a cocky smirk.
Iruka continued. "Naruto, you pressed your advantage of being on the offensive and I could see that you were trying to make sure that he didn't have any chance to counter. And when you were thrown off your feet, you came up with a way to take your opponent with you and were ready to meet his attack with your own."
Naruto smirked back at Sasuke.
Iruka looked up at the boys as he finished. "But, Naruto would not have been able to meet Sasuke's finishing attack as his arm would have been thrown out of the way and Sasuke was able to get through Naruto's assault so the winner of the match is Sasuke."
Naruto's jaw dropped in disbelief and his arms hung as he slumped forward.
The class cheered, mostly the fangirls as they surrounded Sasuke.
Naruto grumbled as he hated how he lost the match.
Sasuke groaned as he was being swarmed by most of the girls in the class. He saw Naruto's mood and spoke up. "You did better than last time. Maybe, next time you'll finally beat me, Dobe. Work on your footwork so that you have a better chance of staying on your feet."
Naruto gave a flat glare at him before he stuck his tongue out. "Blegh, next time, I'll dominate the match! Just wait!"
Sasuke rolled his eyes. "We'll see."
Iruka clapped his hands. "Alright, everyone, break it up. Tomorrow is the graduation exam and I want to make sure that you all have a chance of graduating the sparring section. So let's move on. Next up is Shino Aburame and Shikamaru Nara."
Naruto moved to the swing that was under a tree and sat down to watch the rest of the matches.
"So who do you think will win this one?"
Naruto looked to his right to see Sakura looking at him with her hands behind her back and looking at him cutely. He looked back to the match before answering. "Shino wins hands down."
Sakura looked back to the match and tilted her head. "You don't think Shikamaru has a chance at winning?"
Naruto shook his head as he kicked off the ground and began to gently swing. "Nah, if Shikamaru had a reason to fight, he could win, but if I know him, he is going to say this is 'too troublesome' and give up. Or he might just fake a loss."
As if on cue, Shikamaru lifted his hand and said. "I give up."
Everyone, sans Naruto, face faulted at the sudden declaration as the match had barely started.
Naruto smirked as he continued to swing. "See?"
Sakura got up from the ground before fixing her short hair. "Guess I should have seen that coming." Once she was all fixed up, she watched as Naruto continued to swing. "So how do you feel about your chances at the exam?"
Naruto pursed his lips as he thought about it. "Pretty good. I suck at the writing stuff but I think I can get by. The Jutsu part will be easy, I just gotta remember that I have to make more than fifty clones so that they don't look like deflated balloons." He smiled as he came to a stop and looked at the girl. "Thanks for the help on that by the way, Sakura."
Sakura gave him a bright smile. "My pleasure. After what I saw when you made a clone before, it makes sense since you have been putting too much chakra into just one clone."
Naruto grumbled as he slumped in his seat. "How was I supposed to know?"
"Iruka did say you were doing too much when you did it."
Naruto blew a raspberry as he didn't want to admit that she was right.
The two decided to watch the rest of the matches to see who won.
~Later~
Naruto had his arms behind his head as he was walking home. His mind was on the coming graduation exam and if he would graduate or not. He had gotten a lot of help from Sakura and Sasuke helped him in the taijutsu portion with tips and sparring matches.
Sasuke would point out some faults in his form and help correct it so that he would perform better.
With their help, he was sure he would be able to pass this time and he knew that he would have to pay them back in some way.
But that would be for later.
He arrived at his home and smiled at the decent sized house.
It was a two story house that had five bedrooms, three at the second floor with two on the first, three bathrooms, one on the second floor and two on the first, a large open plan dining room and kitchen, a spacious living room, a large backyard that doubled as a small training ground, and a spare room on the far side of the house that is used for storage.
The house was given to him by the Hokage when he reached the age of eight and he has lived in it ever since. He didn't mind how big it was for one person since maintaining it gave him something to do during his free time. And it was thanks to doing random things around the house that he learned that he rather enjoyed gardening.
He walked into his house and let out a sigh of relief as he undid his sandals and placed them on the shelf meant for footwear. Once that was done, he moved into the living room and fell flat on his face onto the couch. He let out a sigh as felt anxious about what was coming up. He wondered what his shinobi career would be like and what kind of missions he would be on.
All of this would be found out when he finally gets his hitai-ate
~Elswhere~
Sakura walked into her home with a sigh before she tossed her sandals to the side.
"Sakura, how many times have I told you to put your sandals away like a proper young lady?"
Sakura rolled her eyes at the nagging her mom was giving her. "I know already, mom!" She droned out as she had gotten tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. She grabbed her sandals and put them neatly on the shelf. Once that was done, she walked into the dining room and asked her mother. "Anything come in the mail?"
Sakura's mom smiled wide as she hid her giggles behind her mouth. "You got a few love letters from your admirers. You wont believe the things they wrote."
Sakura looked appalled at her mother. "MOM! How many times do I have to tell you not to read those!"
Sakura's mom waved her hand in a teasing manner. "Oh, don't be so embarrassed, dear. You'll enjoy what they have to say. Maybe you will finally get a good boy to sweep you off your feet."
Sakura's face grew red as she hunched her shoulders and grumbled out. "Where are they anyway?"
Sakura's mom pointed to the table. "All of those are the letters."
Sakura looked to the table and saw the pile of letters. "She first thought it was just some junk that her parents had but she was surprised to see the amount of love letters she got. She quickly scooped them up in her arms and began to make her way toward the stairs. "I'll be in my room! Don't bother me!" She ran up the stairs, spinning around to grab one of the letters that flew off before continuing her rush.
Sakura's mom smirked at the way her daughter was acting before looking toward her husband. "What do you think?"
Sakura's father pulled on his mustache. "Maybe she will finally get on with it and move on with this whole thing."
Sakura's mom let out a sigh before she moved to do some of her tasks.
Sakura used her foot to close the door behind her and looked around in her room. She couldn't help but feel happy to be back in her room. She moved over to her bed and dropped the letters on it. She looked at the pile and frowned at the sight of the amount of them. Letting out a sigh, she grabbed a few and took a few steps back before sitting back on the chair behind her. She frowned at seeing that they were open but her mother did say that she had read them. She pulled out the one on top and began to read it so she would know how to answer it.
She spent the next few minutes going through some of the letters till she heard a knock on her door. "Com in." The door opened to reveal her mother with a look of concern. "What's up?"
Sakura's mother gestured down the hall as she spoke up. "There is an Anbu here for you. Said it's urgent."
Sakura raised an eyebrow as she got up and walked to follow her mother out into the hallway. She walked down the stairs and saw that there was an Anbu waiting at the front door for her.
It was a female Anbu that had a cat mask covering her face, but her long purple hair was seen along with the katana she had on her back.
Sakura walked up to the high ranked shinobi and asked. "Is there something wrong?"
Neko nodded before speaking. "Your presence is requested at the office. There is a matter that the Sandaime wishes to talk to you about."
Sakura nodded before looking at her parents. "I'll be back later." Seeing them nod, she moved to stand next to Neko so they could Shunshin. Once she felt the hand on her shoulder she shouted out. "And don't read my letters!" She disappeared with Neko, leaving the parents behind.
The two walked back inside to go about their business.
Sakura appeared in the Hokage office to see Hiruzen standing in the center of the room. "Afternoon, Sandaime, what was it that you needed from me?"
Hiruzen smiled at the girl as he took off his hand and placed it on his desk and rubbed his head. "Before we get to that, I believe we should-"
It was then that the intercom turned on while the Secretary spoke from the other end.
{Sir, your appointment is here.}
Hiruzen looked at the girl for a moment before walking to the front of the desk and pressed the button. "Send him up."
It was a few minutes later that the door opened with Sasuke Uchiha walking in. He walked up to stand next to Sakura and they awaited for the next step.
Hiruzen looked to Neko and ordered. "You may leave. This is a private meeting and a guard will not be needed."
Neko looked at the girl she brought who looked back at her before she nodded before she disappeared from the room.
A few more sounds were heard, signifying that the hidden guard left as well.
After a moment, Hiruzen moved to the side of the room and moved a hanging scroll before placing his hand on a small seal that was hidden behind it. The room lit up in writing before it dimmed down, signifying that the room was now secure.
Sakura stepped forward and asked. "What is this about, Hiruzen?"
The old man let out a sigh as he sat on the couch. "This is about the matter that was brought up before." He looked up at the two before his eyes shifted to Sasuke. "Including yours."
Sasuke crossed his arms before he asked. "Does this mean that we can finally get this whole charade over with?" He began to tap his foot, showing his impatience getting the better of him.
Sakura shook her head at his question. "That would bring up another set of problems. If we reveal everything, I know there will be a backlash from the council."
Sasuke frowned at the girl as his grip on his arms tightened. "Can't we at least start getting rid of some of these secrets! I'm getting sick and tired of this!" He threw his arms up and his head back, clearly showing that he was eager to get the secret out into the world. He then looked at Sakura with a glare. "And you get the best out of this secret since I have to hold back when I don't want to!"
Sakura smiled at Sasuke before she began to walk to the desk. "Actually, I think you can finally let the secret go but only to a select few."
Sasuke huffed in frustration as he crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at her. "Is there a specific few, you are saying?"
Sakura got to the desk and turned around as she leaned on the desk with a teasing smirk on her face. "You can tell him if you want. You don't even need to be like that when we're here. It is secured."
Sasuke let out her breath as his stature relaxed. "Finally." Sasuke went up in a puff of smoke before stepping out of it to reveal that there now stood a female instead of a male.
This is the secret that Sasuke had held for so long. Sasuke was not the last remaining male Uchiha, she was the last female Uchiha, whose true name was Satsuki Uchiha.
Her hairstyle was similar to before but instead of its short length, it fell down to just above her rear and instead of the bangs over her eyes, it was a single long bang that fell over her right eye while the two bangs that framed her face before were slightly longer. Instead of the clothes she had before, she now wore a sleeveless black kimono top with a red hem that had a V cut that revealed her chest was wrapped in bandages and ended halfway down her thighs. Around her waist was a blue waist cape that was the same color as her male persona's shirt that had the Uchiha symbol on the back. She had white tape wrapped around her wrists and ankles. Around her neck was a gray shawl with dark blue hems that fell halfway down her back. On her feet she wore Shinobi sandals that went up her leg and stopped just below her knees.
The reason for the secret was thanks to forethought on the Hokage's end. The council, a temporary group of shinobi and civilians that have say in some matters at the moment. The Hokage knew that after the massacre of the whole Uchiha clan, they would want to rebuild it as soon as they could. The Hokage came up with the plan to hold them off as much as possible and this was in the form of having the last Uchiha being male rather than female. Mainly because of the bigots that would undoubtedly force the female Uchiha to be bred by every chance possible. But if the last Uchiha was male, then they wouldn't force him to do so, but they would send their daughters to gain his favor.
Is it fair? No. But the files of each of the members on the council pointed to the fact that they would not care. Not even the women since some of them would send their daughters just for a chance at the prestige of having an Uchiha in the family.
Satsuki let out a sigh before she brought up her hand to her back and tugged on a clip. Once the clip was released, her chest slowly expanded as bandages began to fall from under her shirt. "I hate having those on me."
Sakura frowned as she watched as Satsuki's chest expanded. A tick mark appeared on her head but she did her best not to lash out at the girl in front of her as it was not Satsuki's fault. 'Damn her genetics!'
Satsuki did notice the twitching of Sakura's eyebrow and frowned at it. "You can be mad at me all you want, but you have better chances than I do."
Sakura's eyes shifted up from Satsuki's chest to her eyes before spinning around to look out the window. "I don't know what you mean."
Satsuki rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms under her impressive bust. "You can lie about a lot of things, Sakura, but you are bad when it comes to these kinds of conversations. He doesn't even know about me! There's a better chance that he falls for you than he does me! Especially if he finds out everything you did for him."
Sakura turned around and looked at Satsuki. "He isn't allowed to know about this yet!"
"I thought we agreed that once we graduate, everything will be revealed. And stop staring at my breasts, old man!" Satsuki turned to glare at Hiruzen who was caught staring.
Hiruzen shook his head and turned away before he cleared his throat. "Forgive me. I did not mean to do so." And he didn't. There was just something about watching a female's chest slowly expand. He just found himself staring.
Sakura cleared her throat as she looked at the two. "I know we agreed to it, but I'm thinking of just letting the info slowly pass through the village. If we release it all at once, there is gonna be a lot of people that will argue about it."
Hiruzen nodded as he could see that. "It is the reason that we did things this way. But I believe that we should just rip the bandaid off and deal with the repercussions once they come. Nothing they say will be able to change things since it was my decision. I chose to do this as it was the best thing for the village."
Satsuki put her hands on her hips as she pointed at Sakura. "And you better uphold what you said you would do." Her expression softened as she lowered her hand. "We both know that you did everything for him, just like me. Hell, you even made sure his home life was good, much better than the orphanage that he used to live in." She let out a huff as she thought about what she herself had done for him. "I wasn't even like this at the start but I couldn't help but fall for him. But I can only be friendly with him and be a bit of a rival to him as I give him tips on how to get better, while you get to actually be close to him as a girl and you were the only one that I could talk to about this. Not like we could talk about it with the other academy students. So, I'm not gonna let you, my only other friend, just keep the secret going when we finally reached the point where we don't need to keep it."
Sakura sighed as she knew how pushy Satsuki can be, especially when it came to him. "Why is it that you can never just follow what I say when this topic is brought up."
Satsuki gave a cocky smirk at Sakura. "In the eyes of everyone we know, there is no difference between us. Only we know the truth and I'm granted a bit of leeway on this. So stop being the little girl that you pretend to be and be what you are. Graduation is just the point we go public, but you are what you are."
Sakura picked up the hat on the desk and turned to them.
"Be the goddamn Godaime and just say you love Naruto just as much as I've grown to."
Sakura put the hat on and looked at Satsuki from under it.
Hiruzen leaned back as he watched the current Hokage and last Uchiha bicker about the boy they gave much to. 'I doubt any of us older Kage would have dealt with something like this. And this was supposed to be a discussion about Team formations.'
End of chapter
This concept was random but when it came to my mind, I couldn't help but connect the idea to how there are a few other fics where Naruto is the real Hokage when he is a genin.
Now, things will be explained in the next few chapters, especially how Sakura gained the title.
The "Council" is only temporary. they will be removed at one point
Sakura will be much stronger than in canon with some skills learned from other shinobi.
Satsuki was the last thing I thought about when I came up with this concept. Her design was the last second addition. I think her look is unique compared to other Satsuki designs. In the outfit at least.
The first few chapters will be Sakura centric and Satsuki centric before it then focuses on the three.
There are a few more surprises that will be revealed in the coming chapters so I hope you look forward to them.
Also, I'm on the fence of whether they should be the canon age or if I should age them up. What do you think?
