"Do you want to come to my wooden house and meet the fairies?"

"Sure!"

Under the Full Moon and the Northern Lights, we danced in the forest and by the lake. We sang happily to tunes in my language, which Serenity thinks is like one taken from a book of fairytales.

The night sky of Kultajärvi is enthralling, especially to Serenity, who has never been to the Earth before. After the dance, I invited him to my cottage in the forest.

"I'm back!"

As I opened the door, the three fairies greeted us.

"Aurora!"

They then noticed Serenity. "And who might you be, young lad?"

He introduced himself, "I am Serenity, son of Queen Selene of the Moon Kingdom."

Flora reacted. "A Prince, huh? And last time I remember, Selene is considered the Goddess of the Moon in some cultures, right? So you say that you are a prince, and the son of the Moon Goddess?"

"Yes, that is correct." He responded swiftly and naturally.

Merryweather concentrated her mind on Serenity. She looked at him, as if she is carefully analyzing him.

"I can tell... that you are a good soul. The Lunarian aura, I sense in you.. You are genuinely the son of the Moon Goddess."

Flora then regarded at his appearance.

She whispered to herself, "He has a moon crescent on his forehead and wear crescent moon earrings. Perhaps it makes sense, that Serenity really is the Prince of the Moon."

"Come on, let's have a chat."

"You look rather young. How old are you?"

"It was a few days ago when I turned fourteen."

"Fourteen? How did such a young boy from the Moon end up here on Earth?"

"Well..."

He gets a bit shy when he had to tell long stories like this.

"I have been amazed by the beauty of Earth's nature when I looked out to the horizon on the Moon. The green trees and the seas... Then I decided to visit Earth, and I happened to land in your forest. And then Aurora found me."

I then added, "I noticed him, and I found him to be quite cute indeed. I could sense with my magic, that he is genuinely the Prince of the Moon. He is friendly and is not a threat to us."

Flora seemed to affirm. "You could tell. I don't think Maleficent has influence on the Moon either. If she is really that powerful that she can also influence our Moon, we would not have survived."

I said, "I have been aware that even a man that appears just and good might be an agent of Maleficent under a disguise. However, Serenity's unique Lunarian aura proves to us that his heart is truly benevolent, and his kindness is not a façade."

Serenity then continued, "I was raised together with four sisters. They are the Sailor Guardians, who wield the power of planets. They are tasked by my mother to protect peace within the Moon Kingdom, but because of my curse, my mother made protecting me the top priority task of my sisters."

Merryweather was surprised. "Did you say that you had a curse?"

"Yes."

Serenity then turned to a serious tone, describing his curse. "When I was born, an evil witch who proclaimed herself the rightful queen of the Moon cursed me that I shall never ascend the throne alive. She reeks of evil energy, and her name is Nehelenia. She hated my mother to the bone, that all she wants to see in her life is that my mother suffers."

Flora was worried. "Your curse sounds awfully similar to Aurora's."

He tried to light up the conversation. "But fortunately, I had a pleasant childhood, being raised by my mother and together with my sisters. They each have unique qualities, and I must admit, that their gowns are vividly colored and beautiful. Mercury, the intelligent sister, has a blue gown, while Mars, the spiritual sister, had a red one. For Jupiter, the physically strongest, it's green, and for Venus, my closest sister, it is yellow."

Merryweather, finding her group similar to Serenity's sisters, said, "They are like us, either way. We can use magic, we also come in different colors -"

Flora interrupted, "We don't have a yellow fairy among us. And we are way older than Aurora."

Merryweather shrugged, "Anyway."

She then continued asking Serenity, "Do you think your curse made you sympathize with Aurora?"

"Yes."

Serenity then blushed, "I have grown attached to her, in fact..."

Merryweather commented, "It sounds like the both of you, who have the same curse, are bound to be together."

Flora added, "Perhaps this is what we call fate. I wasn't expecting a boy that young to suddenly fall in love with our dear Aurora on a random morning, but after all, you both have the same curse. Fate has brought you two together; it's unbelievable, but it's true."

She then asked, "what makes you feel attached to Aurora, other than sharing the same curse?"

Serenity then answered, "she is beautiful and is as cool and as confident as a princess. I admire her, and I like her attitude of seizing every good moment in your life. Isn't it natural for young boys like me to admire and look up to charming older girls like Aurora?"

Hearing these words, I smiled. Serenity is really cute.

Flora then carefully examined Serenity.

"It seems, you carry a strong potential in magic, Serenity. Do you happen to know by chance, that Aurora is..."

I can sense, that Flora is intentionally not saying the last word.

Serenity told Flora, "A princess, just like my sisters. She told me about it. But we have to keep her identity secret because anyone out there might be an agent of Maleficent."

Flora was surprised that Serenity already knew so much about my fate. She then turned to me, "Aurora, did you tell him all of that?"

I admitted. "Yes. He is a young and innocent prince, he deserves to know. If he wasn't Prince Serenity, I wouldn't have told him."

Flora told Serenity. "And you will keep the secret as you promised Aurora. No one else, not even the animals in the forest, should have knowledge that the girl who lives here is the Princess of Kultajärvi."

Serenity pledged, with determination in his eyes, "I will, Madam. My mother, Queen Selene, taught me the importance of confidentiality, and as a prince, I will definitely keep this fact confidential among us."

Flora complimented, "a well-educated boy indeed. You are loveable, and at such a young age, you already carry such grace."

Serenity said, "Thank you, Madam."

Flora then said, "There is no need for formalities here, just call me Flora."

She then pointed to the green fairy, who had not spoken for the whole conversation. "This is Fauna, and she is quite silent. However, we trust her introspective mind, and whenever I quarrel with Merryweather, she would intervene."

Merryweather then introduced herself. "I am Merryweather."

Serenity then bowed to the three fairies, "It is a pleasure to meet you."

Merryweather then asked, "Tell us, how is life on the Moon? You say that you can see Earth from there."

"That is correct. Earth appears like a blue marble when viewed from the Moon. The clouds are white, the oceans are blue, the land is green. The Moon Kingdom is inhabited, because there is a dome that produced an artifical climate that spares us from the otherwise extreme temperatures.

As the prince of the Moon, I enjoy reading books and essays by Lunarian scholars of the past together with my sister Mercury. After that, we would play and chat with Venus after she had finished her sword training. Then, we would have dinner together with Mars and Jupiter. Mars will then share with us about her predictions of the future, and I must admit, that Jupiter cooks the best food on the Moon!"

Merryweather joyfully said, "That is a very blissful life that you have with your sisters!"

"Yes, and I treasure every moment I spend with them."

I added, "Speaking of which, I think I want to visit the Moon and meet his sisters. They do sound like very nice persons who wield magic for good."

Flora seemed a bit hesitant.

However, Merryweather, knowing that the Moon is protected by Selene, gave me her approval.

"Aurora, you should know that this journey is a very important one. I know that the Moon Goddess will be watching over you, but please make sure that you come back safely."

"I will. May Selene bless us."

It is getting late, and I am planning to sleep. And yet I noticed, that my mattress in the house only fits myself.

"Serenity, how are you going to sleep?"

"I guess I might just use my magic and materialize a mattress. It might not be as comfortable as in the Moon Palace, but I think that should do it."

He then casted a spell with his hand, and summoned a mattress.

He sweetly smiled at me, saying, "Nuku hyvin, Aurora."

I responded with a deep and soft voice, "Nuku hyvin, Serenity."

And so, another day has passed.
