Davina brings me to the back of the church, and leads me to a staircase. They are whirly stairs that leads to the very top of the church. She starts to make her way up, and I quickly follow in pursuit.
Once we reach the top, she enters this room that is right off when you get off the stairs. I walk towards the room, and I start to remember. I remember this room when I was looking for Elijah. I see his casket, Davina's bed, the large window, and chandelier: all things I saw in my vision.
"Well, are you going to come in?" Davina asks, her back facing me. I see her gently placing down Timothy's violin. I slowly enter the room.
"No spell?" I notice. Davina turns around to face me.
"For vampires, yes. Witches, not necessarily. Especially since any witch who comes in here without my permission would most likely get killed." Davina says in a serious tone, and I look at her curious.
"You know, you said the same thing to my brother when you threatened him. But have you ever killed anyone?" I question, walking a little more into the room.
"You would be surprised." Davina says in a calm tone, which concerns me a little. She's only a child. What could she have gone through to have that happen? As I open my mouth, I see something at the corner of my eye and hear a quick creak noise.
I look at Davina and she is just as confused. She then looks towards Elijah's casket and slowly walks towards it. While she is looking at it, I see a desiccated man walking from behind her. A big smile appears on my face.
"Elijah." I say happily, and Davina looks at me strangely for a second before quickly turning around to see my brother.
"Sister." Elijah calmly states, then turns to Davina. "It's all right. I don't mean you any harm. Though, I do think it's time we've had a talk."
"A talk?" Davina asks, crossing her arms and Elijah nods.
"Yes, an important one in fact. But before we do, may I ask how you got in here, Kalle?" Elijah asks and I look at him questioning.
"What is with this family and the unwelcoming gestures. How about 'Hello Kalle. Nice to see you after I was in a magical sleep for weeks'". I state, rolling my eyes.
"Sorry, excuse my rudeness." Elijah says sincerely, and I nod at him.
"Thank you. And to answer your question, she brought me to you so I could bring you home." I explain, and Elijah shifts his attention to Davina in confusion.
"Again, why is my sister here?" Elijah questioned confused and skeptical.
"I am not planning anything. She is just the only one out of your crazy family that I feel like I can actually trust to keep their word."
"How did you manage that?" Elijah asked me, and I smiled at him as I walked a little.
"I'm a people person." I say with a tiny shrug.
I noticed this entire time talking to him, he has been looking at both Davina and I with savory looks. He still looks desiccated, his grayness and veins still showing. I look around the room, before I land on a pointy paintbrush. I grab the paintbrush from the mug of brushes, and pierce my skin. I watch as Elijah's veins get even darker.
"Would you mind if I empty this cup and put my blood in it?" I turn to ask Davina.
"Yes, I do. I would also like it if you didn't drop blood on my floors, I kinda live here." Davina complains, and I roll my eyes.
"Fine, can you pull out that chair?" I ask, and she stands there stubbornly. "Can you pull the chair out, please."
Davina's facial expression stays the same, but she just sighs before getting the chair for us. Elijah slowly walks to the chair, sits down, and I feed Elijah my wrist, and he starts to feed, while Davina watches from afar.
"Does that not hurt?" Davina questions and I turn my head to face her.
"Not at all. When this has happened hundreds of times, you get used to the feeling." I state, looking back at Elijah draining from my wrist more violently, and I can feel myself becoming weak.
I then realize that before, if they drank like this, it would not have matter because I would heal fast. But I am not vulnerable and he can't take too much blood from my system.
"Okay." I made Elijah let go of my wrist, "I think you've had enough."
I then put my hand in my pocket, feeling a weird stare from Elijah. Can he tell something is up with me?
"Right, I am just a little famished." Elijah explains, taking his handkerchief and wiping his mouth with it.
I get an alert on my phone, and it's a text from Rebekah.
Rebekah: We found Hayley and she's fine. But we need you to double check that the baby is fine.
"Well now that you ate, can we go now?" I question.
"Actually, no." Elijah states, and I look at him confused. Then he turns his direction to Davina, and I see Davina look at him with an interested look. "I said I wanted to have a talk with you."
"Can't we have this talk tomorrow?" I wonder.
"Yes, we can. Why do you need it now?" Davina asks.
"I figured it would be easier to do it now, then come back here tomorrow without Marcel noticing." Elijah explains.
"I need to get home now, though, it's an emergency." I explain to him, with my eyebrows raised. Elijah notices it, and nods at me with reassurance.
"Tomorrow then, and I will stay here the night." Elijah states and I nod at him. I then turn to make my way to the exit.
"Wait!" Davina calls out and I turn to her interested. "You trust that I won't hurt him?"
"Yes, I do." I state, and she looks at me surprised. "You trusted me enough to tell me where my brother is. Seems only fair that I trust you not to hurt him."
Davina mouths open a little, before closing and she silently nods at me. I nod back, giving my brother a look of confidence, before heading out of the room.
When I went home, I had missed a few things myself. Rebekah found Elijah, but he was not awake yet. Only conscious, and he managed to talk to Rebekah in his mind. He told her a more detailed version of what he told me.
Furthermore, Hayley and her baby are fine. The baby's magic still seemed in check, and better than ever actually. It healed Hayley with its blood, somehow. I don't know how, but this baby keeps getting more interesting by the minute.
"So the baby's fine?" Hayley asks.
"Yes. Just like I said last night, Hayley. Your baby is perfectly healthy." I explain, as I lift my hands off her belly.
"Just wanted to make sure. I guess I am lucky that my child's aunt is a witch." She says in a genuine tone and I laugh a little. "But I didn't know you could also do prenatal check-ups. If I knew that, I would have just come to you instead of Agnes."
"Well, I technically shouldn't be able to. But my magic has advanced over the years, and I can get a sense of a person's heartbeat. Especially, family. Their bloodstream connects solely to mine." I state, back away from the table where Hayley is laying, and go to wash my hands.
"What do you mean?"
"Mikaelson bloodline. I can sense anyone whose dna is from Mikaelson ancestry." I state. I then get a paper towel and dry my hands, turning to face Hayley who is now sitting up on the table. "Which would include your baby."
"Wow, isn't that a lot to handle?" Hayley questions, and I lean my back against the sink, crossing my arms at her. She looks at me curiously, before realizing. "Oh my god, I'm such an idiot."
"No no, it's fine. Some people tend to forget my ancestry line ends with my siblings. And out of the eight children my mother bore, only half of them are still alive." I say with a sarcastic smile on my face.
"Yeah, I'm sorry about that." Hayley states awkwardly and I shake my head.
"No need. I mean I never knew my eldest sister, my younger brother died before we turned immortal, which was enough time to get off his death. My parents kept trying to kill us, and my eldest brother was an asshole."
"Um...so was there anyone in your family who died you actually...cared about?" Hayley asks in a concerning voice and I start to laugh.
"My twin brother, Kol. He died not too long ago, and his death had the biggest toll on me...more than I even knew." I say in a lower tone.
"That sucks." Hayley mentions, and I try to not get upset right now.
"But that's life, right?" I say casually and she nods. "What about you?"
Haylee looks up at me with her eyes widen. "What about me?"
"Your family. You never talk about it." I question nonchalantly. Her eyes shift between me awkwardly, before she jumps off the table and stands.
"There's nothing to talk about. My birth parents gave me up, my foster parents didn't want me after they found out I was a wolf. I've been alone most of my life." Hayley says in sad tone, looking down at her baby. "Then I found out I was pregnant. And I was happy for a good two minutes..."
"Before you found out the father was a one night stand who happens to be a psychotic original."
"Pretty much." Hayley says and we both start laughing. I look at her, feeling interested in her story. Her parents didn't want her and her story is not too far off from Nik's.
No matter how much our family tried to include him, Nik was alone. In what he was going through being a hybrid, his torment he suffered with father. In some sense, Nik has been alone most of his life as well. Then this baby comes along. Someone who would make both of them feel loved and cared for.
"What?" Haylee questions, as I am staring at her.
"Nothing...nothing. Life is just, a crazy thing sometimes." I say with a small smile. I get an alert on my phone, and see a text from Elijah. Him and Davina are waiting for me.
"Is that Elijah?" Hayley questions curiously.
"Yeah, I have to meet up with him now. Hopefully, after this talk, he will finally come home." I say, putting my phone back in my pocket. I make my way out of the kitchen to the living room, seeing Nik, Rebekah, and Sophie.
"Um...what's going on here?" I wonder, as Hayley comes to stand next to me.
"Sophie was just telling us about Davina and this harvest." Rebekah explains.
"Harvest?" I question, looking towards Sophie, but she does not seem like she wants to answer me. "Okay, rude much?"
Niklaus gets up from his seat frustrated, as he walks towards me. "Ignore her. Why are you not at the church already?"
"I'm leaving now. But I just realized why Elijah decided to stay the night there instead of come back home." I explain, and Nik looks at me impatiently. "Marcel."
"Please don't tell me you're afraid of Marcel." Rebekah says in a mocking tone.
"You mean the Marcel who has managed to get the upper hand over the both of you? Two of the most powerful vampires in existence?" I question and she glares at me, but I turn my attention back to Nik.
"Don't worry about Marcel, we are meeting up right now. I'm heading to town, so do you need a ride?" Nik asks and I nod. He then turns to face Sophie. "Do not finish this story, until I get back here. I want to know everything."
Nik then grabs on to me and vamps speeds us away from the house.
I enter the church, as Nik tells me that Marcel is with him. But when I enter the church, a man is there, sweeping the floors. As I take a few steps in further, he looks up to me.
"The church is close." The man states, and I walk a little further. I stop only a few feet away from him.
"I would hope so, otherwise you have been keeping poorly maintenance." I state, looking at the man, who looks tired.
The church is cleaner than the mess we left it in last night, but it still looks terrible. I did not notice before, but there is blood on the walls of the church. And I am still curious why this church is shut down.
"What happened here?" I question, and the man puts down his broom, and faces me.
"The church shut down after a massacre. And right now." He mentions down to my feet and I look at them. "You're stepping in blood."
I slowly take a step back, and look back towards him. "Huh, that's interesting. But I don't have time for stories. I am meeting someone here."
"You don't meet people here, it's closed for a reason." The man states, and I cross my arms at him.
"What is your name?" I question.
"Father Kieran."
"Well, father, I would greatly appreciate if you would let me see my friend upstairs in your attic." I explain, and his face becomes immediately alert. "Now, I would assume that Marcel would not let someone as precious as Davina stay here without trusting the person who runs the church. But you have confirmed my assumption with your facial expression."
"Who are you?" Father Kieran asks, and I think a moment for the answer.
"A girl who wants her family to be safe." I state genuinely. He looks at me with an intrigued look, not saying anything, so I continue to talk. "I have no problem with Davina. However, the influence Marcel has on her is sorta a problem. One I intend to solve, if I want to secure my family's safety."
"That's it?" He asks and I nod quickly. He eyes me up and down, one last time, before making eye contact with me again. "I happen to have a family I want to protect as well."
"Ahh, so will you please let me through?" I question with an innocent voice. Father Kieran then steps back and moves out of the way. I smile at him, as I walk to the back and towards the staircase.
I reach the attic, and enter in Davina's room. I see Davina painting, while Elijah is analyzing a violin, the violin that belonged to Timothy. His back faces towards me, but he could still sense my presence.
"Welcome back, Kalle." Elijah states, and Davina looks up from her painting.
I walk into the room, and Davina looks at me with a serious face. I come to stand next to Elijah, who has not taken his eyes off the violin.
"I believe now that my sister is here, we can talk." Elijah states, while I look at Davina curiously.
"What is it?" Davina asks, noticing my glare.
"You're witch friend, Sophie. She was in my living room today." I explain, and Davina look turns a little scared. But she quickly recomposes herself.
"So, what did she want?"
"Not what she wanted. More like my family wanted answers." I explain, talking a step forward and Davina looks at me confused. "What is a 'harvest'?"
