Magic Of The Golden Flower 2 Chapter 3
Luckily for them, the Masks hadn't come across the horses when they ran through here. The steeds were too well hidden. It doesn't take long for them to fill some packs with supplies and the unusual group is on their way.
Noa is intent on making up as much time as he possibly can.
While Raka is understanding toward Noa's mission he has his own reasons for wanting to not rush and move at a much preferred slower pace.
"Can we not slow down," panted Raka, making sure his mount kept pace with Noa's and glancing backward to see if their little tagalong is still in view.
Raka doesn't see any sign of that female feral anywhere.
"No," said Noa, firmly. But he does pull back slightly for Raka to catch up though not by much. "I do not know why, but I am sure she follows. Will not be difficult for her to do."
The reference is directed at Aurora's hair trailing behind them over the dirt path.
Aurora didn't see it necessary yet to put her hair up since they were so pressed for time. As long as they're on the dirt road it's unlikely her hair should get caught on anything.
It's a perplexing predicament. With Aurora being the exception humans have always kept away from apes, not wanting to stick around them or interact at the very least.
Aurora quickly becomes distracted from thoughts about the scavenger when a golden eagle flies overhead above them, releasing a high-pitched whistle in a peal call. Shadow barks in response to the eagle's call, rushing forward to chase the eagle's shadow.
Gasping in awe, eyes wide in mystified fascination, Raka said "A beautiful bird."
Nodding in its direction, Noa said "Sun Eagle. My father's bird. He follows to taunt me."
"The bird follows you, too," marveled Raka.
"We raise eagles. My clan," explained Noa, thumping a fist to his chest in pride. Sing to them. So they know us. A bond."
Aurora can get where Noa's coming from with that. She feels such a bond with Shadow after spending so many centuries with him.
"Sing the song. Please," said Raka, politely.
A melancholy expression crossing his facial features, Noa said "No. My father was the Master of Birds. He sang to eagles. But I am not him."
Ah, yes. Aurora can see now. A sore subject because of his father's recent passing. Aurora can understand that.
Respecting Noa's wishes, Raka said "Shame. I would've enjoyed a song."
Noa finds this topic of conversation irrelevant to his mission, so he tries to stop Raka from broaching on the subject anymore.
Watching Noa from the corner of her eye Aurora feels a bit sympathetic toward the young chimpanzee being on the receiving end of Raka's good-natured inquisitiveness. After all, she'd been on the receiving end herself when she'd first met him. Aurora got used to it in time and so will he.
Noa may find Raka's behavior weird and unusual, but truth be told, Aurora loves that about the orangutan. He can always make her smile.
And Raka's not the only one that can do so.
While the three of them had been conversing Sun Eagle and Shadow had been occupied with each other.
Turns out Sun Eagle had made a game of keep away between him and Shadow, who he now views as a new victim right next to Noa for his antics.
Sun Eagle releases a chatter call repeatedly to Shadow as he swoops in low to tease the German shepherd into trying to jump and catch him.
It's as if Sun Eagle is saying "Nah nah nah nah nah you can't get me!"
And it's abundantly clear Sun Eagles' taunts are driving Shadow crazy. He's barking and sneezing in frustration each time he misses Sun Eagle whenever he appears to get close.
It's quite comical.
And then it happens.
It's clear Sun Eagle is as smart as Noa given what happens next as he provokes Shadow further. So focused on trying to reach Sun Eagle, Shadow had been completely unaware that the mischievous bird had been manipulating Shadow to the top of a small hill on the path. One minute Shadow's paws are on firm ground and the next he's tumbling down the hill and into some bushes at the bottom as he yelps in alarm.
A stunned Shadow pops his head out of the leaves and underbrush, shaking the dirt out of his fur and ears.
Sun Eagle calls in triumph at getting the better of him, circling Shadow overhead, having a good time at the poor dog's expense. Ridiculing and mocking Shadow at leisure from a safe distance.
It was all too much for Aurora. Any restraint she has is gone. A blasting laugh escapes Aurora as she clutches her stomach as she struggles to keep her seat on the horse. Raka is next to follow suit and soon all three of them are laughing. The ice was broken with most of the awkwardness dissipating, the tense atmosphere lessening, and the three of them continuing their trek far more at ease than before when they started out.

For those of you on fanfiction I'm sure you've been facing the many unwanted ads when you're reading a story. Well, yesterday, I finally had enough, and I got an adblocker app. It worked! No more ads on any level! The one I got is Adblock Pro: Safari Ad Blocker. It really works. Just follow the instruction video that it attached to it.
Heads up everyone there's someone on fanfiction you need to seriously watch out for. Early a couple of months ago after I woke up I was checking my email and I saw I had a new guest review on my A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 2 sequel. I took a look at it and got a very big shock. Some random person I've never spoken to before on here or anywhere else in my life was basically threatening me. Intimidating and practically ordering me to write a threatening letter to someone on their behalf, telling to stay off of for life or else they and everyone else close to them would be killed, disgustingly telling them to kill themselves. And at the bottom of the message this crazy person wasn't done. Warning me that if I don't send the letter then they would kill me and for confirmation to email them to make absolutely sure I complied with their demands. Of course I did nothing of the sort. Instead of doing what they wanted I reported them to the website, sent copies of this deplorable guest review message to police officer cousins of mine so they could have it on file, and I went to a nearby police station and reported it.
When I spoke to the police officers and they checked everything on the message they saw, that while the address and names of business were accurate the people and their names were not. They agree it was more than likely a scam because of the email address on the bottom in order to perhaps get access to personal information or potentially hack my computer. Despite that I'm still very happy they took it seriously as I showed and told them everything. All the same I'm still very happy that I brought this to the attention of law enforcement. Even though the entire thing might be fake I'm still very happy to have brought this to the attention of those who can do something about it if it was legit in some way. This may have been a scam, but it's obvious these people are beyond irresponsible if they try to goad people into sending death threats to random strangers just to get access to info.
Be that as it may if this does unfortunately happen to you do not send any messages to the email addresses they put down and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you bring the message to the authorities immediately whether it is legit or not.
Because it's a guest review it might not be visible for a couple of days as it loads if it is sent to you. But when it does you should definitely pressing the report abuse button and send it to the email that leads to the support staff that is available.

Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure. I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.
So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
