Warning: vampire behavior, and a bit of a suggestive theme.

Klick, klick, klick

The normally very loud theater was now quiet and the only sound that could be heard was the impatient tapping of Darla's foot

"Boy, get Drusilla, and let's go" the matriarch groaned, wondering what was taking so long

"Yes, m'am" Spike answered from afar.

Bringing the two children to the theater and leaving Angelus at home, what a foolish decision Darla thought to herself. But Angelus hadn't made himself worthy of coming along, she recalled stubbornly, after planning a lovely dinner equipped with the finest blood types and prestigious company Angelus had thought it a grand idea to, not only, insult the guests, but insist that they leave three days early.

And he had the nerve to be cross?

So without further argument, she had ordered him to stay home while she indulged his fledglings. That would show him... or not.

Once again the clock struck and ten minutes had passed since she'd barked her last order.

"William, Dru, we're going now"

"Oh, but grand mummy look what a feast we've collected, all the finest guests for the wedding, in their finest suits and gold medals" Drusilla giggled and Spike answered by swinging her around.

One of them had been able to get their hands on the stage lights and now they stood center stage, like Romeo and Juliet, with synthetic light washing over them.

The childer were amused, but Darla, not so much. Without someone to enjoy the theater with, what was the point? And to think she'd been the one giggling in the beginning

"When is this thing over" Spike muttered slouching in his seat

"Be patient William, it hasn't even started yet" Darla countered

"Yes sweet Willy, once the pawns are finished we're in for quite the game"

Looking over with an exasperated look Spike loudly corrected them both.

"-And by the by, they suck, that's why there ain't nobody here"

"That's so we'll be able to have a quiet feast, now stop your struggling" Darla remarked.

William really wasn't one for the theater. Ever since they had arrived there had been an issue, his suit was way too tight and didn't look good, apparently, the amateur actors weren't good enough, and he would rather cause a ruckus than have a quiet time.

"Who's there" Two actors stepped out starting their scene

"Yeah, yeah, to be or not to be that's the question and all that. I'm hungry, let's move" William announced

The two men stopped dead in their tracks, probably upset their only audience members wanted to leave right after the opening line, but that disappointment soon turned into fear as the blond shook his head revealing his true face. And in a matter of seconds said blond had taken a leap over the seats, and was headed for the stage.

Drusilla turned to her grandsire with wide eyes and waited for permission. And to the young noirette's pleasure, Darla nodded.

"That boy really has no savoir-faire," She remarked to herself and began following her young ones.

Soon, familiar screams started filling the not-so-crowded theater and the blood of theatrically challenged performers covered the vampires' mouths.

But just like always, Dru and Spike had run off to play with all the props and wigs so Darla was left to her own devices.

"Well, I'm leaving, at least. Make sure to clean up after you're done, we're not animals!" The matriarch called as she turned to leave.

And not even a "no please stay, ma'am" or a "you needn't walk alone, we'll walk with you" but alas not, ungrateful children.

Once more the klick of Darla's mature heels could be heard on the rain-covered street as she began walking home. Home was a strange concept for a vampire such as Darla. In her youth there had been a big focus on the concept of home, a home was where one felt loved, safe, and appreciated but she couldn't recall any time she had felt that in the new abode, or any place for that matter. Except for with the master.

She sighed and straightened her light blue layered skirt. To think of the foolishness she had displayed in her young years, to leave the master for love. What a dangerous thing.

And to think she left for Angelus, the same Angelus that didn't listen, the Angelus that dismissed every one of her achievements and spat in the face of her kindness.

What a man, she thought dryly.

On paper he was a fool, a man certainly not worth her while, who came from nothing, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't stay mad at him. There was just something about that smile, those eyes, and that cute Irish accent she couldn't bring herself to leave.

The long-winded road had begun swaying off into a compact alley that led right to the "manor" ( as William called it ) and with it Angelus.

Darla steadied herself and took one last unneeded breath, if he wanted a fight then she certainly wouldn't back down.

The house itself wasn't all that bad, it was a bit worse for wear but nothing that couldn't be ignored.

She slowly opened the beat door and hoped her fledgling had gone to bed.

"Darla," he called from the shadows

"Liam."

"Aye, please don't be cross with me. I have a surprise for you."

His eyes had a certain mischievous way about them and his air had been replaced with a loud sense of arrogance.

"Well, I don't want your surprise" Darla retorted coldly

Not at all taken aback by this Angelus tried again. This time approaching his lady, because that's what she was, his lady, and touching her just like she liked.

"Come now, you're going to like this." He said sinking to his knees and grabbing a fist full of dress

"If you think a simple act of cunnilingus will make me forgive you, you have another thing coming" the aforementioned lady snarled

"Oh, I'm not thinking cunnilingus, at least not right away."

Darla rolled her eyes.

Leading the way towards his masterpiece Angelus began crawling. Crawling probably wouldn't be his first choice but since he wanted to show his appreciation and submission he thought it would be best.

The pair made their way further and further into the house before finally stopping in the salle de séjour.

"Oh Angelus"

"I knew you would like it," Angelus answered proudly

The entire room was covered in candles and flower pedals with the occasional ruby necklace, and matching earrings, of course.

Soft tears flowed to Darla's eyes as she took in the sight in front of her. But her mood quickly changed when she recognized that special look in her fledgling that screamed "Did I do a good job?", a look she often got from the young William. This was no time to fuss, this was to be her revenge and redemption.

"Well, it looks as if you aren't completely useless. What would you like your reward to be?" The classy lady said grinning and bowing to his level

"I think you know."

Carefully shaking her head she pried for a verbal response.

"Now now, Angelus, I want you to say it"

"I want you."

A/N: Hi I hope you enjoyed it! Please review.

Taking a short break from writing my new Eleazar story to write this fanged four story. This initiated my first ever BTVS story and my first ever story written in the third person, so there are a lot of firsts here.
