Boom Boom and Pom Pom's Special Race
(A/N: This episode is dedicated to the Mario Kart series. Happy 28th Anniversary, Mario Kart!)
It's a beautiful day at Mario Circuit 1 where Boom Boom and Pom Pom are enjoying the sights of the course. Boom Boom smiled at her and said, "It's a beautiful day for a race and we're at Mario Circuit 1 from the very first Mario Kart game!"
"I know, Boom Boom," Pom Pom replied, "This course started the entire series 28 years ago and it is still used since then. You know, this calls for a race. A very special 3-lap anniversary race!"
"Wow! That's a great idea! So when do we race?"
"Well, we're going to do it... RIGHT NOW! To the starting line!"
With that, Boom Boom and Pom Pom ran to the starting line for their special race.
When they got there, they saw their karts waiting for them. Boom Boom hopped into his Pipe Frame and said, "So this is my orange Pipe Frame?"
"That's right," Pom Pom replied as she entered her pink Pipe Frame, "The kart is used in the first three games and everyone loved it! Well then, all that's left is a referee and we're ready to go. Too bad we don't have one."
Just then, they heard a voice and said, "Did someone call for a referee?"
Boom Boom and Pom Pom heard that voice and then, a human came in with a friendly smile.
"Dragon Puncher," Pom Pom and Boom Boom said at the same time.
"Hey guys! What brings you here?" Dragon Puncher asked.
"We're going to have a special race to honor 28 years of Mario Kart and we need a referee to make this race fair and square," Boom Boom replied.
Dragon Puncher smiled and said, "Well, you came to the right person and today is a very special day for a race! Good thing I brought my checkered flag and Start Signal for this occasion and after all, this is Mario Kart! Now then, are you ready to race?"
"You bet," Boom Boom and Pom Pom replied at the same time.
"All right, then! Boom Boom and Pom Pom... START YOUR ENGINES!"
With that, the engines of the Pipe Frame turned on as Boom Boom and Pom Pom prepared to race. Dragon Puncher took out his Start Signal and said, "Now the moment you see the green light, the race will begin. Good luck to the both of you and have fun. Well guys, this is it! The moment has finally arrived. Boom Boom and Pom Pom... ARE YOU READY?"
"Ready!" Boom Boom and Pom Pom replied at the same time.
"Okay! And now, the moment you've all been waiting for is finally here! Let the 28th Anniversary Race between Boom Boom and Pom Pom... BEGIN!"
And with that, Dragon Puncher flipped the switch to start the light mechanism on the Start Signal as Boom Boom and Pom Pom turned their attention at the lights with the first one shining red. It all comes down to this, the start of the race.

Boom Boom and Pom Pom revved up their engines, took one final deep breath and then...
It is time.
GO!
With the light turned green, Boom Boom and Pom Pom took off at the same time with a Rocket Start as they begin the race to honor 28 years of Mario Kart. Dragon Puncher smiled and said with a thought, "Have fun, Boom Boom and Pom Pom."
Boom Boom and Pom Pom are enjoying the race as they traveled through the course to see who is the better driver.
After two laps, Boom Boom and Pom Pom crossed the finish line as Dragon Puncher held up the Final Lap sign to signal the third and final lap of the race. He said to them, "This is it, guys! FINAL LAP!"
As Boom Boom and Pom Pom continued to race on the last lap, Dragon Puncher took out his checkered flag as he awaits them at the finish line. Boom Boom and Pom Pom kept on racing and then...
WHOOSH!
The checkered flag has been waved as Boom Boom and Pom Pom crossed the finish line to end the race. Dragon Puncher smiled at the official results and said, "FINISH! It's a tie!"
Boom Boom and Pom Pom came out of their karts and hugged each other for a tie race as Dragon Puncher came to them with a smile. He said, "That was a great race, guys. Both of you are amazing drivers and I'm so happy for this."
"Thank you, Dragon," Boom Boom said with a smile, "I really enjoyed this race and after all, Mario Kart is all about having fun. Right, Pom Pom?"
"Right, buddy," Pom Pom replied, "You know, all of that racing makes me hungry. Let's go have some lunch at Burger Shroom!"
"Cool! Can I come?" Dragon Puncher asked.
"Sure."
And so, Dragon, Pom Pom, and Boom Boom walked on over to Burger Shroom for some lunch. It has been a great racing day.
