Panels of Doom with Boom Boom and Pom Pom
On a beautiful fall day at Bowser's Castle, Boom Boom and Pom Pom are enjoying themselves playing Super Mario Party on the Switch when suddenly, Boom Boom had an idea. He said to her, "Do you want to play Panels of Doom?"
"Sure," Pom Pom replied, "After all, a little competition is all we need because this month marks the release of Mario Party Superstars!"
"Wow! I can't believe that five of the boards from the first three games are coming back to this game. Now let's go have a blast. To the Minigame Room!"
With that, the duo ran to the Minigame Room for a great competition.
When they got there, they saw a huge 3-by-3 grid with two Dice Blocks. Boom Boom smiled at her and said, "Here we are, Pom Pom! Panels of Doom."
"Wow," Pom Pom said with a smile, "So this is the minigame from Mario Party 4 and it has everything we need for our game."
"That's right. Now the rules of the game is simple. First we choose a number from one to nine and then we roll the Dice Block. The number shown on the block is the tile that will crumble away. We'll keep going until someone rolls a number held by your opponent. If you do that, then you win. But if your own number is rolled, then the game goes to your opponent. If you roll your opponent's face, then you'll win the game automatically. Well then, shall we start the game?"
"You know it!"
"All right, then! Now which number would you like?"
Pom Pom looked at the board and with a smile, she said, "I'll go with six."
Boom Boom agreed with her and said, "Okay! Then I should go with five."
With that, both players assumed their positions as the game begins. Then Boom Boom's Dice Block came in as he took his first turn. Boom Boom looked at the block and with a single punch, a three came out and with that, the tile crumbled away. Boom Boom looked at the crumbled tile and said, "So far, so good. Your turn, Pom Pom."
Pom Pom agreed as she hits the block. A seven came out and the tile was gone.
Then it was Boom Boom's turn once again and a four appeared from the block, which crumbles the tile in the premises. So far, three of the tiles are gone as the game continued on with Boom Boom and Pom Pom hitting more numbers from the Dice Block.
After crumbling four more tiles, it all comes down to this: The final round.
Boom Boom looked at the board and said, "Well Pom Pom, this is it! You get to decide the winner of this game with only three spots on the Dice Block."
"I know, Boom Boom," Pom Pom replied as she prepares to take her turn, "This is going to be an exciting finish to the match."
"Me too. Okay, Pom Pom. It's all yours!"
With that, Pom Pom looked at the three remaining options on the block, took a deep breath and then...
The moment came.
PUNCH!
With a huge punch, Pom Pom hits the block and it shows Boom Boom's face.
Boom Boom looked at his tile and then, he fell down to the floor. The game is over!
"I won," Pom Pom said with a smile as she came out of her tile, "I did it!"
"Great game, Pom Pom," Boom Boom said to her.
"Same to you. You know, I think this calls for another round!"
"It's on!"
And so, Boom Boom and Pom Pom decided to play another round as they enjoyed the game.
