Mario Kart at 30
On a beautiful afternoon at Mario Circuit, Lakitu is enjoying his role as the referee of the Mushroom Kingdom's favorite racing tournament, Mario Kart. He smiled to himself and said, "I can't believe that it has been thirty years since Mario Kart began and I love the excitement of this competition. The cheering crowds, the smell of burning rubber, and the best racers in the tournament battling for 1st place. This is the life."
Meanwhile, everyone in the circuit is gearing up for a race as Mario and Luigi are at the starting line with their Pipe Frame karts. Mario smiled at his brother and said, "I can't believe that we're going to race in honor of Mario Kart's 30th anniversary."
"Me too, bro," Luigi replied, "Thirty years of items, racing, and big surprises. This is what this series is all about and the best part is to have fun and be a good sport."
"I agree. Now let's go have some fun."
Just then, Lakitu's voice came on the speakers and said, "Attention all racers! Please head to the starting line because the race is about to start!"
Mario and Luigi followed the instructions as they hopped in to their karts.
Lakitu came to them and said, "Ready to race?"
"Let's-a go!" Mario and Luigi replied at the same time.
"All right, then! Let's get to it!"
With that, Lakitu took out his signal light as the entire circuit is ready for some racing action. He looked at the racers as he pressed the green button to start the light mechanism. It is time to race.

Mario and Luigi revved up their engines, waited for the right moment and then...
It is time.
GO!
With the light turned green, Mario and Luigi took off at the same time with a Rocket Start as the entire crowd cheered for these two racers. That is what Mario Kart is all about for thirty years and everyone loved it.
