Quick Draw Corks with Boom Boom and Pom Pom
On a beautiful spring afternoon at Bowser's Castle, Boom Boom and Pom Pom are having a great time playing Mario Party Superstars when suddenly, Boom Boom has an idea. He said, "Do you want to go one-on-one against me in Quick Draw Corks?"
"Sure," Pom Pom replied with a smile, "I love this game and it is from Mario Party 2. Let's do it!"
"Great! To the Castle Arena!"
With that, the duo ran as fast as they could to the Castle Arena for a game of Quick Draw Corks.
When they got there, they saw a friendly Goomba smiling at them. He said, "Hey, guys. What brings you here to this arena?"
"We're going to to play a game of Quick Draw Corks," Pom Pom replied.
"Well, you came to the right place because you're just in time for a very special best-of-three battle! Now you know how the game works. I'll count down from three and when I say 'GO!', you fire the popgun quickly at your opponent to score a point. If you jump the gun, then I'll give you a warning. First to 2 points, wins. Got it?"
"Of course we got that," Boom Boom said, "Let's do this."
"All right, then. Grab your popguns and prepare for a duel you'll never forget!"
With that, Boom Boom and Pom Pom grabbed their popguns and walked on over to the center of the arena. Goomba came in the middle and said, "All right, guys. Are you ready to play?"
"We're ready," Boom and Pom Pom replied at the same time.
"Okay! Now face away from each other and wait for my signal. Round 1! Ready?"
Both players agreed as they turned away from each other. It is time to start the first round.
"Three, two, one..."
Both players walked three steps as they await Goomba's signal to fire. This takes about five seconds and then...
The moment came.
"GO!"
With the word shouted, Boom Boom aimed his popgun at Pom Pom and then...
POP!
Pom Pom got hit, giving Boom Boom the first point.
"Point, Boom Boom!" Goomba announced as the scoreboard shows 1-0.
Both players came back to the center for the second round as Goomba said, "So far, Boom Boom is in the lead with a score of one to nothing as we get set for the second round. Pom Pom, you need this to stay in the game. Think you can do it quickly?"
"We'll see, Goomba," Pom Pom replied, "We'll see."
"All right, then! Let's do it again! Round 2!"
Both players turned away and walked three steps thanks to Goomba's countdown.
Seven seconds later, the signal is given and Pom Pom was quick enough to fire the popgun at Boom Boom to score a point. Goomba saw it all and said, "Point, Pom Pom! That means we have a tie game, folks!"
The scoreboard now shows 1-1 thanks to Pom Pom's quick fire.
Goomba looked at them and said, "Well guys, this is it! The score is tied at one and that means we are now ready for the third and final round. Both of you did an amazing job playing this game and now it all comes down to one final showdown. Ready?"
Both players nodded as they turned away from each other.
"All right, then! Here we go! It is now time for... THE FINAL ROUND!"
With that, the lights dimmed all across the arena as the spotlight now shines on Goomba and the players. It is time to decide this game once and for all.
Goomba smiled at the sight as he is ready for the countdown. Then he cleared his throat and then...
The big moment has arrived.
"Three..."
"Two...".
"One..."
Boom Boom and Pom Pom walked three steps, waited for the signal to fire and then...
It is time.
"GO!"
As soon as Goomba said the word, both players aimed their popguns, pulled the trigger and then...
POP!
Someone has been hit.
Goomba saw it all and with a huge smile...
He delivered the final announcement.
"The winner of this game's Quick Draw Corks is... BOOM BOOM!"
The scoreboard saw the replay footage of the final shot and it shows that Boom Boom has fired his popgun just .01 seconds before Pom Pom did. With that, the game has officially been won by Boom Boom with a final score of 2-1.
Boom Boom jumped for joy as scored the win with Pom Pom clapping for being a good sport. Then Goomba came to them and said, "Great game, guys."
"Thanks, Goomba," Boom Boom and Pom Pom replied with a smile.
"Both of you are amazing gunfighters and I love it! Say, care for another round?"
"It's on!"
And so, Boom Boom and Pom Pom decided to have another game as they enjoy some gunfighting minigame action.
