Hot Wheels Fun with Boom Boom

(A/N: This episode is dedicated to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Happy 5th Anniversary!)

On a beautiful spring morning at Bowser's Castle, Boom Boom is enjoying his Hot Wheels Rainbow Road set in the Game Room. He smiled to himself and said, "I can't believe that it has been five years since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came out and I'm using this Rainbow Road set from Hot Wheels to commemorate this occasion. Now let's turn on the finish gate."

With that, he flipped the switch and the course introduction fanfare is played on the speaker. Boom Boom heard that sound and said, "Wow! This is just like in the game. That is so cool. Now let's load those karts and put it on the starting gate."

So Boom Boom placed his Mario kart in Lane 1 and his King Boo kart in Lane 5 to make it an official race. Boom Boom smiled at the sight and said, "Okay! Now all I have to do is press that green button and the race will officially begin. When that light turns green, the cars will be launched and the finish gate will tell me who won. All right, then. Let's start the race!"

With that, Boom Boom pressed the green button and then, the race start fanfare is heard. Now all that's left for him is to launch the cars on the green light. Boom Boom placed his hand on the launch button as the lights turn on. It is time to race.

GO!

With the light turned green, Boom Boom pressed the button and then...

WHOOSH!

The cars took off. Boom Boom looked at the race as the two cars zoomed across the track. This goes on for five seconds and then...

FINISH!

The finish fanfare is heard, signaling the winner of the race. Boom Boom looked at the winning number that is flashing and said, "Lane 1 is the winner and that is Mario! This is so cool! It makes me feel like I'm playing the game. Well, let's do it again!"

So Boom Boom placed his cars back at the starting gate and pressed the green button to start the race again. Then he smiled and said to the readers, "Happy fifth anniversary, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!"

And so, Boom Boom kept on playing with his track set to honor five years of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
