The Koopa Cannonball

On a beautiful summer day at Bowser's Castle, Bowser Jr. is watching the circus on TV when he saw an act that he loves the most, the Human Cannonball! He looked at the screen very carefully as a man entered the cannon before giving the thumbs up. Then he waited inside before being shot out of the cannon ten seconds later as the crowd cheered for him.

Bowser Jr. saw it all and said, "That was... AWESOME! This guy can do it all as a Human Cannonball and if he can do it, then so can I! It's time for me to become the Koopa Cannonball and to do that, I'm going to need a cannon and a target. Now where can I find a target use for my act?"

Then Bowser Jr. saw an official archery target outside and said, "Perfect! Now all I need is a cannon and I'm ready for blastoff. Come on!"

So Bowser Jr. ran outside as fast as he could until he saw a cannon waiting for him. He smiled to himself and said, "There it is! The Bowser Cannon is all warmed up and ready to go. So I have a cannon to fire with and a target to land on after I get shot out. Now who will light the fuse to the cannon?"

"That will be me," Bowser said as he came in.

"Hey, dad. What brings you here?"

"Well I just heard that you're going to be a Koopa Cannonball and so I decided to come in and see you fulfill your dream and look! All of the minions are here to witness this amazing occasion!"

Bowser Jr. saw every minion coming in and said, "Wow! That's amazing! Now I'm ready for blastoff. Dad, will you do the honors of lighting the fuse?"

"It will be my pleasure," Bowser replied with a thumbs up, "Son, prepare for blastoff!"

Bowser Jr. agreed with his dad as he entered the cannon with a smile. Bowser walked on over to the cannon's fuse and said, "And now, watch as my son gets shot out of the cannon as a Koopa Cannonball! Are you ready, son?"

"As I'll ever be," Bowser Jr. replied with a thumbs up, "Dad, take it away!"

"You got it! Ready for the countdown, everyone?"

All of the minions agreed with him as they are cheering with excitement.

"All right, then! Here we go!"

With that, Bowser took a deep breath and lets loose of his fire breath as the flame touched the fuse. The entire castle is now ready for this amazing moment as Bowser Jr. is now ten seconds away from blastoff. Everyone looked at the burning fuse, took a deep breath and then...

The countdown has begun.

"10..."

"9..."

"8..."

"7..."

"6..."

"5..."

"4..."

"3..."

"2..."

"1..."

Bowser Jr. braced himself, waited for the right moment and then...

It is time.

BOOM!

With a huge blast, the cannon fired Bowser Jr. as the crowd cheered for that amazing moment. Then he spun in his shell, took aim at the target and then...

CRASH!

Bowser Jr. crushed the target with ease as he made a perfect landing. Then he came out of the shell and said, "Ta-da!"

Everyone in the castle is cheering with joy as Bowser Jr. did his amazing performance as a Koopa Cannonball. Then Bowser came to him and said, "Great shot, son! That's my boy!"

"Thanks, dad," Bowser Jr. replied with a hug, "I'm so glad to be a Koopa Cannonball and someday, I will perform at the circus."

"Of course you will, son. Of course you will. Say, care to go one more time?"

"You know it!"

And so, Bowser Jr. is enjoying his time as he did another performance as the Koopa Cannonball!
