Boom Boom's Mario Kart Commentary

On a beautiful summer day at Mario Kart Stadium, Boom Boom is enjoying the sights of the stadium when suddenly, he saw someone in the commentary booth for MKTV. Boom Boom looked at it and said, "Wow! That must be Comment T., the official commentator of MKTV! I can't believe that I'm going to meet a real commentator in person. Come on!"

So Boom Boom ran as fast as he could to see him.

When he got there, Boom Boom said, "Are you Comment T.?"

"That's right," Comment T. replied as he shook his hand, "Welcome to the MKTV commentary booth, Boom Boom! What brings you here?"

"I'm here to do some commentary for the race!"

"Well, you're just in time because I'm going to commentate another race at Shy Guy Falls so, do you want to commentate this race in front of the entire Mushroom Kingdom audience?"

Boom Boom looked at his face and with a smile, he said, "I'll do it!"

"Great! You'll be going live in ten minutes and remember to have fun out there. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some commentating to do! Have fun!"

And with that, Comment T. left with a smile as Boom Boom waved to him. Then he said to himself, "Well, I guess it's time for me to make my official debut as a commentator for the race on MKTV and I have less than ten minutes to get myself ready. Now let's go racing!"

So Boom Boom sat down on the chair as he saw the track's layout on the window.

About ten minutes later, Lenny the Lakitu cameraman came in and said, "Thirty seconds, Boom Boom."

"Thanks for the time check, Lenny," Boom Boom replied as he gets himself ready, "I can't believe that my dream is about to come true and I love it! So, how do I look?"

"You look fabulous and with that, we're about to go live in fifteen! Ready?"

"As I'll ever be, Lenny. Let's do this!"

"All right, then! We're on in five, four, three, two..."

As soon as Lenny points his finger on Boom Boom, it's time to start the broadcast.

"It's a perfect day for some racing here at Mario Kart Stadium as eight of the best racers will go head-to-head in a special race to honor thirty years of the Mario Kart series," Boom Boom said to the audience as an MKTV helicopter is flying all across the course, "Who will emerge victorious today? We're about to find out right here, right now! Live from Mario Kart Stadium, it's... RACE DAY ON MKTV!"

Just then, the intro starts playing as the crowd is cheering all across Mario Kart Stadium.

While the intro is still playing, Boom Boom is enjoying his time as the camera points to him. He smiled to the audience and said, "Good afternoon, race fans! Welcome to a very special edition of Race Day right here on MKTV! I'm your guest commentator Boom Boom and it's an honor to be here with you today. It's 80 degrees outside with sunny skies and we have some picture perfect weather for us and listen to this sold out crowd! They are cheering with excitement here as you can see through our exclusive chopper. Now let's take a look at the course in further detail provided by the folks at the Super Mario Wiki: The course begins with a short pit straight followed by a right turn. The track then turns right with three colored paths that stay together: an inner blue path (with an apex), a yellow path in the center, and an outer red path. The track then approaches the anti-gravity part followed by a left turn. Next, the course goes up and down a raised hairpin turn, followed by a gliding area before ending with one more left turn to the finish line."

The crowd saw it all as they are cheering with excitement as the jumbotron shows the course layout.

Boom Boom took out his envelope and said, "Okay, then! Now that we have the course all laid out, it is time to announce the starting grid for today's race that is done by a random drawing and I have the lineup right here on this envelope so, are you ready to meet them?

The crowd agreed with him as they cheered. Then Boom Boom opened the envelope and said, "Then let's do it! Starting in eighth is the dinosaur dynamo, Yoshi!"

Yoshi came in to his spot as the crowd cheered for him.

"Taking the seventh spot this afternoon is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach!"

Peach smiled to the crowd as she took her place.

"In position #6 is the king of the jungle, Donkey Kong!"

DK took his place as he waves to the crowd.

"Starting fifth is everyone's favorite Mushroom warrior, Toad!"

Toad took a bow as he starts in fifth.

"We're halfway through the grid, folks! In fourth is the garlic loving man, Wario!"

Wario took out his garlic and ate it as he took position #4.

"And now, the top three starters! In third is the King of the Koopas! Here's Bowser!"

Then Bowser breathed fire in the sky as he took the third spot.

"Taking the second spot is the lean, mean, green machine! It's Luigi!"

Then Luigi tipped his hat as the crowd cheered before taking the second spot.

"And finally, we have everyone's favorite hero taking the pole position for today's anniversary race! Lades and gentlemen, here he is! Your pole starter... MARIO!"

With the crowd cheering, Mario came in with a huge smile as he takes the first spot in the grid.

Boom Boom saw it all and said, "And now, for the thousands in attendance at Mario Kart Stadium and for the millions of viewers reading from around the world: DRIVERS... START YOUR ENGINES!"

The entire crowd is cheering very loudly as the eight engines turn on. It is time to race.

"You can feel the tension here in the stadium as we are just moments away from the green light and let me remind you that this is a traditional three-lap race with items scattered all across the course and to make it fair, there will be no coins at all. Well race fans, this is it! The Item Boxes are in place, the drivers are at the grid and with that, we're all set and ready to race! Mario Kart Stadium... ARE YOU READY?"

The entire course is cheering very loudly as these eight racers are just moments away from starting the race.

"All right, then! Let's throw it over to our referee Lakitu at the starting line for the official start of the race! Take it away, buddy!"

"Thanks, Boom Boom," Lakitu replied as he took out his signal light for the racers. Then with a huge smile, he said, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Mario Kart fans of all ages! To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Mario Kart series…. LET THE RACE BEGIN!"

And with that, Lakitu pressed the green button to start the light sequence as the crowd grew silent. It is time to start the countdown as the first red light came on.

Boom Boom looked at the screen as the second red light came.

2...

All eight karts revved up their engines as the final red light appeared.

1...

It all comes down to this. The 30th anniversary race is about to begin and the only thing separating them is the green light. Everyone looked at the road ahead, took one final deep breath, and then...

It is time.

GO!

With the light turned green, all eight karts took off with a rocket start as the crowd cheered very loudly. Boom Boom saw it all and said, "And we are racing as everyone starts it off with a Rocket Start! Now that's how you do it here in Mario Kart, folks!"

And so, Boom Boom is enjoying his time as he commentates the race.
