Mario Day 2023 Special: Mario and the Author's Burger Lunch
On a perfect Friday afternoon at Peach's Castle, Mario is playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch as himself when suddenly, I came in with a bag of food. I smiled at him and said, "Hey there, Mario!"
"Well good afternoon to you, breath20k," Mario replied to me, "So, what brings you here?"
"To have some lunch with you and I brought some burgers from Burger King and to make it special, it's Mario Day!"
"Wow! You have some burgers inside on my special day?"
"That's right," I said, "Since this day is dedicated to you, I decided to treat you with some nice fast food. Now inside this bag are two burgers and to make it special, I also brought some fries and a drink for the both of us. So, shall we dig in?"
Mario looked at the bag and with a huge smile, he said, "It will be my pleasure! Let's-a go!"
With that, Mario and I reached into the bag and inside are two Whopper sandwiches. Then we opened our wrappers and with a smile, Mario picked up his burger and said, "Bite on three?"
"Of course," I replied as I took the burger.
"Okay! One, two... THREE!"
And with that, we took our first bite of the Whopper on a very special day.
"Now that's a very good burger," Mario said while taking a bite.
"I agree with you," I replied with a smile, "This is the best burger of the restaurant and that is why I decided to spend today with you and on behalf of everyone involved with this fic, I want to wish you a very happy Mario Day!"
"Thank you, breath20k," Mario said while giving me a hug, "You're the best author a friend could ever have and for that, I'm truly grateful for you! So, shall we do a toast?"
"Let's do it," I replied as I took out my soda.
Mario did the same and said, "Here's to us and Mario Day! Cheers!"
"Cheers," I repeated as we touched sodas to commemorate Mario Day as we enjoy our lunch together.
