Deluxe Memories
{A/N: Happy 6th Anniversary, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe)
On a perfect afternoon at Mario Kart Stadium, Toad is at the starting line with his B Dasher as he prepares himself for a Time Trial run. He smiled to himself and said, "I can't believe that it has been six years since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came out and I really enjoyed it."
Just then, Lakitu came in with his signal lights and said, "Hey there, Toad. What are you doing here?"
"I'm getting ready to race all by myself," Toad replied with a smile, "I want to get the fastest time possible to commemorate six years of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe."
"Well I hope you'll do great out there and before we begin, let's share some memorable moments during these six years. Toad, would you like to go first?"
Toad smiled at him and said, "Sure. My favorite moment is Mario dodging the Spiny Shell in the final lap to win the gold trophy at Rainbow Road. It was a close battle for Mario, but he won thanks to a Mushroom boost at the end. What a great moment."
"That was an amazing moment," Lakitu said with a smile, "I really enjoyed that moment and it was fun. You know, my favorite moment from these six years is the Booster Course Pass and the reason I love this one is these returning courses from previous Mario Kart games including the ones from Tour."
"You said it, Lakitu," Toad said, "More courses mean more racing fun! Here's to six years of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and with that, I'm ready to race. Lakitu, would you like to do the honors?"
"It will be my pleasure," Lakitu replied as he pressed the button on the signal light to start the race.
Toad braced himself as he started the engines. It is time to race.
3...
2...
1...
Toad looked at the road, took one final deep breath and then...
The moment came.
GO!
With the light turned green, Toad stepped on the gas pedal and then...
WHOOSH!
The B Dasher took off with a Rocket Start.
Lakitu saw it all and then, "Have fun, Toad."
And so, Toad is enjoying his race as he drives around Mario Kart Stadium.
