Pom Pom's Perfect Bowling Game

On a perfect afternoon at Bowser's Castle, Pom Pom is playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on her Switch in the Game Room when suddenly, she saw Mike the Koopa Troopa bowling a strike at the bowling alley. Pom Pom came to him and said, "Hey there, Mike! Nice strike!"

"Thanks, Pom Pom," Mike replied with a smile, "I love a nice game of bowling and you know what, I think you're ready to try for a perfect game. So, are you game?"

Pom Pom looked at the nearby empty lane and with a smile, she said, "It will be my pleasure!"

"All right, then! Pom Pom, prepare to bowl!"

With that, Pom Pom came to the lane with her pink and yellow bowling ball and waiting for her is the pins all lined up in a triangle at the end. Mike took out his microphone and said, "Well Pom Pom, this is it! The pins are all set up and with that, we're ready to go bowling! So, shall we start with frame 1?"

Pom Pom smiled and said with a reply, "I'm ready to bowl!"

"Okay, then! Let's start the game!"

With that, Pom Pom stepped up to the lane and with a nice delivery, the ball was released from her hands as it heads straight for the pins and then...

CRASH!

All ten pins came crashing down in one roll.

"STRIKE!" Mike announced as the scoreboard registers Pom Pom's first strike of the game with an X, "So far, so good!"

Pom Pom jumped for joy as she saw it and said, "Now that's what I'm talking about and with that, I'm ready to go to the next frame!"

Mike agreed with her decision and said, "Okay! Scoreboard, we're ready for frame two!"

With that, the lane is reset as the pins came back in play.

Pom Pom looked at the lane and after a few seconds of waiting, she released the ball once again.

After five seconds of rolling, the ball hits all ten pins once again as the scoreboard registers Pom Pom's second strike.

"Another Strike," Mike said with a smile as Pom Pom enjoyed the game so far, "Now let's move on to the third frame."

Then it was time for the third frame and just like in the previous two frames, Pom Pom released the ball and it kissed all ten pins goodbye.

"It's a Turkey," Mike announced as the third X appeared on the castle scoreboard to make it official, "Looks like you're well on your way to the perfect game! Well then, shall we keep on going with frame four?"

"You know it," Pom Pom replied as she kept on going.

As the game goes on, Pom Pom received six more strikes in frames four through nine and now it all comes down to this, the tenth and final frame.

Mike looked at the scoreboard and said, "Well Pom Pom, here we are at the tenth frame! You are now just three strikes away from a perfect game and if you can do that, then you'll be the first Boom Boom ever to achieve it. So, are you ready to bowl for a perfect game?"

Pom Pom looked at the lane and with a smile, she said, "I was born ready!"

"Okay, then! Pom Pom, it is now time for... THE FINAL FRAME!"

With that, Pom Pom came to the lane with her bowling ball and wasting no time, she released the ball with a perfect delivery and then, all ten pins came down in an instant.

"It's a strike," Mike said with a smile as the tenth X appeared on the scoreboard, "And because you bowled a strike in the tenth and final frame, you'll get to bowl twice! So, are you ready to go again?"

"Of course," Pom Pom replied as she picks up her ball before bowling again.

With a nice release, the ball heads for the pins and just like in her previous roll, the ten pins came down for the eleventh time as the scoreboard registers her eleventh strike.

"Well Pom Pom, this is it," Mike said as he looks at the board, "You have scored eleven strikes in this game and now, it all comes down to this. You're about to bowl for a perfect game and before we get to that, I just want to congratulate you for making it all the way to this point and no matter what happens in this next roll, just have fun and enjoy the game. So, are you ready to bowl for the very last time?"

"I'm all set and ready to bowl," Pom Pom replied with a thumbs up, "Mike, let's go for a perfect game!"

"All right, then! Here we go!"

With that, Pom Pom stepped up to the lane with her pink and yellow bowling ball and waiting for her are the final ten pins of the game all lined up in a triangle.

When everything is ready, Mike said, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is it! You're about to see history in the making as we get set for the third and final roll of the tenth frame. If Pom Pom gets a strike in this roll, then it will be a perfect game. Can she do it? We're about to find out right now because it is time to..."

Pom Pom looked at the lane, took a deep breath and then...

The moment came.

"BOWL!"

With the word shouted, Pom Pom walked up to the lane, pulled her arm back and then...

ROLL!

The ball was released from her hand as she made a perfect delivery. It all comes down to this: the final roll.

After a few seconds of waiting, the ball is heading straight for the pins. Pom Pom looked at the ball, waited for another five seconds and then...

The big moment has arrived.

CRASH!

A huge crash was heard all across the castle as the pins came crashing down for the very last time.

Mike came to Pom Pom and said, "Well Pom Pom, this is it! The pins have fallen and in just a few seconds, the scoreboard will announce the results of the final roll. Now is there anything you would like to say before we reveal the final results?"

"Sure," Pom Pom replied with a smile, "I love a nice game of bowling because it is a great exercise for everyone and it is fun to play with your friends or by yourself so, have fun and enjoy the game."

"You said it, Pom Pom. Bowling is fun and exciting, no matter which age you're playing with. All right, then. The scoreboard has made its decision and now, it is time for the final results of the game. Pom Pom, are you ready?"

"I'm ready for this, Mike. Let's see it!"

"Okay, then! Here we go! Drum roll, please!"

With that, the drum roll began as Mike and Pom Pom turned their attention at the scoreboard. It all comes down to this, the final results of the game.

Mike looked at the board said, "Pom Pom, you have bowled a..."

Pom Pom held on to him as she awaits the scoreboard's decision and while she is waiting, the scoreboard adds up the total number of points she has earned during the game. The process takes fifteen seconds and then...

DING!

The final results has been revealed and it shows an X on the third roll of the tenth frame to signify her twelfth and final strike of the game.

Then the scoreboard shows Pom Pom's final score after all ten frames have been played, which is 300. Mike looked at the score, smiled at Pom Pom and then...

It is official.

"PERFECT GAME!"

She did it! Pom Pom jumped for joy as she has bowled a perfect game with the entire castle cheering for her amazing achievement.

Mike came to her and said, "Congratulations, Pom Pom! You have achieved a perfect game! That was an amazing performance!"

"Thanks, Mike," Pom Pom replied as she hugged him, "Looks like I'm now a professional bowler thanks to my perfect game and with that, I'm hungry."

"Of course you are! You have played a perfect game today and for that, I'm treating you with some lunch at Burger Koopa for your amazing achievement and this is on you!"

And so, Pom Pom decided to have some lunch after a perfect bowling game!
