Hey guys, I'm finally back with a new chapter for this story! I apologize for the long wait, but things have been kinda hectic for me the past few months and I started school again as well which has been eating up a ton of my free time. But I've finally got around to updating some of my stories. This chapter will pick up where the previous one left off and will have Peter dealing with the bombshell that Miles dropped on everyone. So, I hope you're all looking forward to that!
**P.S. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!** I was laid off from my job back in January, while I'm not broke or anything, a source of income would be nice. So, I've considered starting a Pa tre on page. I've posted a poll on my profile page and I would greatly appreciate it if you all could vote in it. If I do decide to create a Pa tre on, the tiers wouldn't be expensive, with the priciest one being only $6. If only one-tenth of the people who follow this story supported my Pa tre on, it'd be such a massive help. I haven't fully figured out the incentives for each tier yet, but I do have some in place that I think work pretty well. And I want you all to know that I will NEVER hold stories hostage until I make a certain amount of money, and I will NEVER lock exclusive stories/content behind my Pa tre on, it just wouldn't feel right to me. Every chapter and story I create will be posted to this site for everyone to read for free. The Pa tre on would just be there to help support me and my writing. So, I ask you all to please go to my profile and vote in the poll! Also, feel free to give me your feedback! I'm open to any and all ideas, especially regarding higher tiers and incentives. I'll keep the poll open for a while to give as many of you as possible a chance to vote.
Well, that's all I wanted to say, so let's get to the fic!

"These damn pheromones, it's hard just being in the same room as her..." Peter muttered underneath his breath as he released a light sigh and took another sip of coffee. When Peter set his cup back down, he noticed Miles giving him a strange look, something he had been doing quite a lot. Quirking an eyebrow in confusion, Peter got up and moved to sit down right next to Miles. "Hey, is everything alright Miles? You keep giving me and the girls a weird look."
"Oh! Sorry about that! I'm fine Peter, really..." Miles said, turning in his seat to gaze back at the kitchen. Watching the three girls chat and seemingly get along quite well, Miles' brow furrowed slightly. "It's just a little weird..."
"What's weird?" Peter asked in a confused tone as he took a sip of his coffee. "Is it something we did?"
"No, nothing like that. I mean you guys are super famous in my dimension..." Miles said, turning back around to face Peter. "But people have never seen you just casually hanging out with your wives likes this."
"*PFFFFFFFT*" Peter began to cough and sputter as he spat out a mouthful of coffee, luckily managing to avoid hitting Miles. In the kitchen, everything came to a screeching halt, all three girls overhearing what Miles had just said. After a few moments, Peter managed to somewhat recompose himself, still panting slightly. "M-Miles...what did you just say? I mean MJ and I are dating right now...but she's not my w-wife! Neither are Gwen and Cindy!"
"Huh? Really?" Miles said, now it was his turn to be confused as he looked between Peter and the three women in the kitchen. "Cause you four are all married in my dimension...along with a few other girls."
"O-Other...girls..." Peter stuttered as he audibly gulped, feeling three sets of eyes drilling holes into the back of his head. "This damn kid may have just gotten me killed!"
"Now isn't this interesting..." Mary Jane said in a tone dripping with venom, walking over to the table and roughly setting down a large plate full of scrambled eggs. The redhead's sickly sweet smile sent a chill down Peter's spine. Glancing over his shoulder, Peter flinched when he saw both Gwen and Cindy glaring at him. Soon, Mary Jane made her way to Peter's side and tightly gripped his shoulder. The wallcrawler hissed in pain as Mary Jane's fingers dug into his skin. "Please, tell us more, Miles."
"Oh...uh sure..." Miles said as he shrugged his shoulders, not noticing Peter frantically gesturing for him to keep quiet. "Well, in my dimension women outnumber men 3-to-1, so polygamy is a fairly common practice. My dad is pretty old school and ended up only marrying my mom, but I know plenty of kids whose dads have married multiple women. The Peter in my dimension is..." Miles paused for a moment as he stared down into his glass of juice. "...was...loved by a lot of people. Because he was so popular, Peter obviously drew the attention of a lot of women...especially the superheroes he worked with. So, it was only a matter of time before he entered into a relationship with some of them."
"Let me ask you something, Miles..." Gwen said somewhat timidly, walking over to the table and taking a seat next to the teenager. "Did...did the Peter in your dimension...did it seem like he loved the girls he was with? Or was he like a playboy and just slept around with a lot of women?"
"Playboy? We're talking about Peter Parker, right?" Miles asked in a confused tone as he quirked an eyebrow. Seeing that Gwen was actually serious about her question, Miles mulled over his answer for a few moments. "Look, I may be from a different dimension, but trust me the Peter I knew was awkward as hell when it came to girls. I think it's a freaking miracle he even got married in the first place. So no, he definitely wasn't some sleazy playboy. He only dated girls he genuinely cared about and had feelings for."
"If I may interrupt for a moment..." Cindy said nervously, butting into the conversation and standing behind Miles' seat. "I must know...did Peter and the girls he was married to seem happy?"
"Of course! They were always smiling and laughing whenever I saw them on TV or something." Miles replied as he grabbed a spoon and piled his plate full of scrambled eggs. "I never got to meet any of Peter's wives...but whenever he mentioned them while we were training...he'd get this goofy ear-to-ear smile and his entire demeanor seemed to change. It was like simply talking about someone he loved lifted his spirits and made him feel better." As Miles went to shovel a fork full of eggs into his mouth, he stopped when he noticed that everyone in the room was staring at him. "Okay, now you all are acting weird. Why were you all so interested in Peter's wives any? Is something up?"
"No...no...I...we just needed to clarify a few things." Gwen said, feeling a rush of confidence as she glanced over at Peter. In the back of Gwen's mind, she could hear the crazy suggestion Black Cat had made to her. But after hearing what Miles had said, maybe it wasn't so crazy after all. "Alright, that settles it, I'm talking with MJ tonight and I'm just gonna go for it. If she agrees then I'll have a chance to be with Peter...but if she says no...I'll let go for good."
"If you don't mind Miles, I'd like to ask one last question..." Mary Jane said as she crossed her arms underneath her chest. "Who were the girls Peter was married to?"
"Um, let's see...there was-" Miles was cutoff when Peter suddenly lunged forward and clamped his hand over the teenager's mouth.
"For the lover of god Miles, that's enough! I can't take any more of this!" Peter exclaimed, locking eyes with the young webslinger. Seeing the panicked look in Peter's eyes, Miles knew that it was time to drop this particular subject. With an unspoken agreement, Miles nodded his head and Peter removed his hand. An uncomfortable silence immediately fell over the entire room as Peter sank back into his seat. Wanting to help break at least some of the tension, Peter coughed into his hand. "Well Miles, when you're done eating we'll head to Avengers Tower and get you set up there. You can crash in my room while you're staying in this dimension."
"That sounds awesome!" Miles cheered with a large smile before he at a mouthful of food. "Will I get to meet any of the Avengers?!"
"Unfortunately most of them are out of missions, so the tower is kinda empty right now." Peter replied, causing a frown to spread across Miles' face. "But who knows, maybe some of them will pop in over the next few days."
"That reminds me...when we saw Tony the other day, he mentioned that he'd contact some people to help us..." Gwen said as she leaned forward in her seat, clasping her hands on top of the table. "Have you heard anything from anyone?"
"No one's contacted me yet." Peter replied, slowly shaking his head and crossing his arms over his chest. "Hopefully we'll hear something soon because, with those inter-dimensional machine blueprints still out in the wild, it could be really bad if they fall into the wrong hands."
(Same Time: Alchemax Headquarters)
"Simply incredible..." Otto Octavius breathed out in awe as he gazed at the expansive and intricate blueprints projected before him. Using his mechanical legs to raise himself higher into the air, Otto slowly walked around the schematics and carefully examine their every detail. "Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever believed that alternate universes existed, it was always just an interesting theory...but this machine...the science behind it...it's so incredibly advanced." With a smirk, Otto adjusted his goggles and turned to face the other two people in the room with him. "You really did come from a different universe, didn't you?"
"Yes, where I come from the year is 2099 and Nueva...I apologize...New York...is a very different place." Goblin replied, clasping her hands behind her back and looking up at Otto. "I discovered that Spider-Man was working on some massive project...but when I went to steal these blueprints, the device he was working on was damaged and activated during our fight. I was then sucked into this dimension, with my Spider-Man following after me. If we want to get this machine up and running, we'll have to squash a few spiders and make sure they don't interfere with our plans.
"Ugh, dealing with one Spider-Man is already a pain in my ass." Kingpin grumbled as he walked over to his desk and sat down in his chair, causing it to groan slightly due to his immense size. Leaning forward, Kingpin clasped his hands and furrowed his brow, appearing to be in deep thought. After a few moments, Kingpin grunted and pulled out his cellphone. "Alright...alright...I'll make some calls and get us some backup...real heavy hitters."
"Did you have anyone particular in mind?" Otto asked, making his way over toward Kingpin's desk. "Because we've tried ganging up Spider-Man before and that didn't exactly work...and he'll likely have some help this time."
"If this machine works...we'd have the entire multi-verse at our fingertips." Kingpin said as he began to type out a text message to his head of security. "I want every available criminal in New York supporting us on this. Rhino...Electro...Lizard...Vulture...Eddie Brock...we'll get everyone to help us take down Spider-Man."
"Brock? Are you sure he'll help us?" Otto asked, quirking an eyebrow as he lowered himself onto the floor and retracted his mechanical arms. "Hasn't he worked together with Spider-Man before? I believe they're on good terms right now."
"Oh, he'll help us." Kingpin said with a small smirk as he finished sending his message and put his phone away. "Unless he wants something bad to happen to that pretty little ex-wife of his." Getting up from his desk, Kingpin walked over and gazed up at the projected blueprints once again. "Okay Otto, I want to get started on this machine immediately, what will you need?"
"A man of action, I like that." Goblin said with a grin, standing next to Kingpin and crossing her arms over her chest. "I knew coming to you was the right call."
"Excellent, excellent..." Otto said as he rubbed his hands together, the glow of the blueprint's projection reflecting off his goggles. "Let's get to work."
(Back at Mary Jane's Apartment)
"Could breakfast have been more awkward?" Peter thought as he released a heavy sigh, quickly rinsing off a plate before placing it into MJ's dishwasher. Knowing that Mary Jane was still upset, Peter volunteered to wash all the dishes. He knew that MJ would still want to talk about what Miles had revealed, so any extra brownie points he could earn right now helped. Picking up a dirty glass, Peter paused his cleaning for a moment, Miles' words bouncing around his mind. A faint blush spread across Peter's face as he imagined himself in an intimate relationship with Mary Jane, Gwen, and Cindy. It didn't take long for Peter's thoughts to become very erotic. Suddenly coming back to his senses, Peter rapidly shook his head to help rid his mind of any inappropriate thoughts. "What the hell am I thinking!? A relationship like that would never work...right? Gah! Why am I even considering something like that!? I love MJ...but...a part of me still loves Gwen too...and I can't ignore the spark that I feel when I'm around Cindy forever." Gripping the edge of the sink, Peter stared at his reflection in the soapy water. "Shit...what the hell am I going to do?"
While Peter was having an emotional crisis in the kitchen, the girls seated in the dining room weren't doing much better. An uncomfortable silence had fallen over the table, with each of the girls occasionally eyeing each other as they sipped their coffee. Miles was caught in the middle of the staredown, causing him to fidget awkwardly in his seat. Gwen felt a pang of worry when she caught Mary Jane staring at her, frustration burning in the redhead's eyes. Shifting nervously in her seat, Cindy tightly gripped her coffee mug as she glanced between Gwen and Mary Jane.
"Fuck me...this silence is actually painful..." Gwen thought, resisting the urge to throw on her mask and bolt out of the apartment. Drumming her fingers on the coffee mug in front of her, Gwen released a light sigh. Noticing that Mary Jane was staring at her again, Gwen took a deep breath. Feeling a sudden rush of confidence, Gwen slowly exhaled and got out of her seat. "Screw this! I was gonna do this tonight, but we're settling this now!" Walking around the table, Gwen stopped next to Cindy's seat. "Sorry Cindy, but you're involved in this now too!"
"W-What's up GwWOAH!" Cindy blurted out as Gwen suddenly gripped the confused spider woman's hand and pulled her out of her seat. Not knowing what else to do, Cindy allowed Gwen to pull her around the table, now stopping next to Mary Jane. "H-Hey, what's going on, Gwen?"
"MJ...we need to talk..." Gwen said, locking eyes with the redhead, her grip on Cindy's hand tightening slightly. "And I think you know what about."
"..." Mary Jane didn't say anything for a few moments, simply crossing her arms over her chest and staring up at Gwen, refusing to break their eye contact. But eventually, the redhead released a light sigh and got out of her seat. "I suppose you're right. It won't do any good if we just ignore the elephant in the room."
"Can we do this in private?" Gwen asked as she gestured back toward the kitchen, where Peter was still taking care of the dishes. "This is between the three of us...Peter doesn't need to listen in."
"Sure, we can talk in my room." Mary Jane said, making her way toward her bedroom, with Gwen and Cindy following right behind her. "We'll have to keep our voices down too, knowing Pete, he'll get nervous and try to snoop on us."
"H-Hey...seriously what's going on guys?" Cindy asked nervously as she let Gwen pull her into Mary Jane's bedroom. "Why am I being dragged into this?"
"Okay everyone, I finished washing..." Peter said, trailing off a bit when he saw that Miles was the only one sitting in the dining room. "Where'd the girls go?"
"They went into Mary Jane's room..." Miles replied as he watched all the color drain from Peter's face. "It sounded like they needed to talk about something important."
"Oh no, I need to-" Peter was about to burst into the bedroom, but he was stopped when Miles grabbed his wrist. "Let go, Miles! I need to-"
"You need to let them talk things out, Peter. Things were really tense during breakfast, and that's my fault...I brought up something I probably shouldn't have. But there's obviously some stuff that those girls need to work out and simply ignoring it won't help." Miles said as he pulled out the chair next to him, seeing Peter's brow furrow slightly. "Now come on man, sit down and let them talk things out."
"I...I guess you're right..." Peter said, releasing a heavy sigh as he sat down next to Miles. Running his hands through his messy brown hair, Peter forced a smile and turned to face Miles. "So...is there anything you want to talk about?"
"Hmmm..." Miles hummed as he tapped his chin, mulling over possible conversation topics. Suddenly Miles' eyes lit up and scooted a bit closer to Peter. "You're an Avenger, right?! Tell me all about them! What's Hulk like in person!?"
(Same Time: Mary Jane's Bedroom)
"Alright, we should be alone..." Mary Jane said, exhaling through her nostrils as she made her way over to the bed. Sitting down on the edge, Mary Jane crossed her legs and locked eyes with Gwen. "You wanted to talk Gwen...so start talking."
"Okay...I'll just come right out and say it...I'm in love with Peter." Gwen admitted with full confidence as she balled her fists, refusing to break her eye contact with Mary Jane. "I was in love with Peter in my dimension, but I never got to tell him my feelings before he..." Gwen paused for a moment, tensing as she tried to not relive the traumatic moment. "This dimension's Peter is so much like my own...all those old feelings I had buried away started to resurface. And when Miles mentioned that his Peter was in a polyamorous relationship...and that it seemed to work out...I started to hope that maybe I could have a similar relationship with this Peter, to experience the love I never had a chance to."
"Damn it...I was afraid you were going to say that..." Mary Jane said, releasing a heavy sigh as she slowly shook her head. Turning slightly, Mary Jane turned her attention to Cindy. "So...what about you? Do you share Gwen's feelings? Are you in love with Peter too?"
"W-What!? No! I...I don't...I mean..." Cindy sputtered out as she tripped over her words, nervously wringing her hands and doing her best to avoid Mary Jane's gaze. After a few more moments of incoherent rambling, Cindy released a heavy sigh and gripped her arm. "Okay...look...I don't love Peter...at least I don't think I do. I'm grateful that he helped break me out of that Alchemax lab and I want to help him fix this crazy situation he's found himself in...but I don't love him, I barely know anything about him." Mustering up some courage, Cindy finally locked eyes with Mary Jane, a faint blush spreading across her cheeks. "Look...I may not be in love with Peter...but I won't deny the physical attraction I have for him. It may be the pheromones...but every time I'm in a room with him, my entire body feels electrified and I can feel an almost overwhelming amount of lust welling up inside me. That kiss I shared with Peter when he freed me from my cell...it was simply amazing...and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to do it again."
"Wow...that's two very different perspectives..." Mary Jane muttered, glancing between Gwen and Cindy several times. Crossing her arms underneath her chest, Mary Jane mulled over both women's responses. "Okay, Gwen...hypothetically speaking...let's say we gave this polygamy relationship thing a try...just because it worked for Mile's Peter, how do you know it'll work now? And what're you gonna do when this whole situation is resolved and you can return to your own dimension? Are you just never going back home?"
"That's the thing MJ...we won't know whether a relationship like this will work unless we give it a chance...and if there's any man who could make this work, it's Peter." Gwen replied as she walked over and sat down on the bed next to Mary Jane. "As for returning to my own dimension...of course I want to go back, I have family and friends there. But I also want to stay here with Peter and be close to him...I don't know...maybe Miguel can come up with a way for me to freely travel in-between dimensions? He is the one who originally built the machine that brought me here, but we'll cross that bridge when the time comes." Reaching down, Gwen gently gripped Mary Jane's hand. "I'm just asking for a chance MJ. I know you want Peter all yourself, and if I was in your position I would feel the same way, but if things don't work out we break off this whole harem thing right away."
"Damn it...you are being really convincing right now..." Mary Jane said with a chuckle, resting her other hand on top of Gwen's and patting it. "Look, Gwen...Cindy...I get what you're both saying and I want to help you out..." Suddenly getting up from the bed, Mary Jane ran both her hands through her flowing red hair. "But...I just don't know if I can do this."
"Okay, I understand MJ, I won't keep pushing you on this..." Gwen said as she released a light sigh, deciding to play one last card she had hidden up her sleeve. "But you must know there are girls other than Cindy and I that are interested in Peter. Will you be able to handle them all?"
"Oh, and who might you be referring to?" Mary Jane asked, stopping in her tracks and glancing back over her shoulder at Gwen. "Is it Natasha? I know she's been flirting with Peter quite a bit lately, she thinks I don't notice, but I do."
"No, I was actually referring to Felicia Hardy...you know, Black Cat...her and Peter did date for a while." Gwen replied which caused Mary Jane's entire body to visibly tense, something that didn't go unnoticed by the other two girls. "I ran into her last night...and she's actually the one who first brought up this whole 'harem' idea. Seems like she still has a thing for Peter."
"So, that slut is still after Peter, huh?" Mary Jane said with a scoff, tightly balling her fists in frustration. Whipping back around, Mary Jane locked eyes with Gwen. "Okay, you know what, if Felicia really was the one who suggested trying this harem thing, then we'll give it a chance. I may not be 100% on board yet, but it'll help you two out and I'll be able to keep a close eye on that scheming cat because I know that she's up to something. The last thing I need is her trying to steal Peter away from me again."
"Wow, Felicia was right, Mary Jane really doesn't like her." Gwen thought as she quirked an eyebrow, watching as the redhead huffed in frustration. "They must have some bad blood between them."
(Five Minutes Later: Back in the Living Room)
"There was this one time when Cap and I teamed up on a mission..." Peter said with a smirk, watching as Miles listened to his story with rapt attention. The teenager was leaning forward in his seat, a smile of his own on his face. "And we ended up getting into a huge fight with a bunch of thugs...I was swinging around and webbing bad guys up...Cap was doing his own thing, kicking serious ass like usual..." Peter's smirk widened as he recalled the intense battle. "Then out of nowhere, Cap and I got into this groove, where we started comboing off each other...taking out thugs in unison...there was even one point where Cap tossed me his shield and I used it to take out like five guys. It was honestly one of the greatest moments of my life."
"Oh. My. God. I can't believe you got to use Captain America's shield! That is so awesome!" Miles exclaimed with a beaming smile as she shot up out of his chair, excitedly throwing his hands up into the air. "The Peter in my dimension worked with the Avengers sometimes, but nothing like you man! I mean you were a part of a massive team-up and helped stop Thanos from wiping out half the universe! I want to do stuff like that someday!"
"I know it sounds exciting Miles, but you really don't want to rush into the universe saving stuff...it's really dangerous." Peter explained, standing up and placing a hand on Miles' shoulder. "I love your enthusiasm Miles...and I have no doubt that you'll become an amazing hero...but you're still young and you lack experience." Miles deflated slightly when he heard this, but he knew what Peter had said was true. "But don't worry, while you're here in my dimension, I'll show you the ropes and teach you how to become an amazing Spider-Man."
"That sounds awesome!" Miles cheered as his eyes shot open in delight, practically bouncing with excitement. "When can we start training!?"
"We can talk about that later." Peter said with a chuckle, sharing a bit of Miles' excitement as he patted the teenager's shoulder. "First, we need to get you a suit."
"WAIT! I get my own-" Miles was cut off when the door to Mary Jane's bedroom opened and the three girls walked out. Peter felt his entire body tense as he locked eyes with Mary Jane. However, his worry slowly began to fade when he saw that MJ didn't appear to be angry any longer. She still looked a bit frustrated, but at least she wasn't pissed of anymore. "Oh, you guys are finished? How'd it go?"
"We...worked some things out...and came to an agreement." Mary Jane replied, brushing some hair out of her eyes as she glanced at Gwen and Cindy, the three girls nodding in understanding. Walking up to Peter, the redhead smiled at him and gently brushed her hand across his cheek. Mary Jane couldn't help but smile in amusement when she saw confusion and worry in Peter's eyes. "I know that look, tiger. I've seen it a hundred times before, you're freaking out right now." Leaning forward, Mary Jane placed a tender kiss on Peter's cheek. "Don't worry Pete, we really did work things out. Gwen and Cindy will tell you about it later. But right now, you need to focus on helping Miles out."
"Y-Yeah, you're right..." Peter said as he breathed out a sigh of relief, a faint blush spreading across his face. Glancing over at Gwen and Cindy, both girls flashed Peter a brief smile. Suddenly clapping his hands together, Peter turned to face Miles. "Well, now that things have calmed down and we've all had something to eat, why don't we head over to Avengers Tower? We can get Miles situated and check-in with Miguel."
"Sounds like a plan." Gwen said, slipping on her mask and flipping up her hood. Taking a moment to stretch, Gwen made her way toward the front door."Cindy and I will meet you on the roof."
"Yeah, I'll head up with Gwen." Cindy said as she pulled up her facemask, following closely behind Gwen. Turning around for a brief moment, Cindy energetically waved to Mary Jane. "It was nice meeting you MJ! I hope that we can hang out again!"
"Cindy is quite the character." Mary Jane said with a chuckle, crossing her arms underneath her chest. Looking at Peter and Miles, the redhead smiled at both men. "Alright you two, you should get going as well."
"She's right Miles, let's head out." Peter said before he slipped on his mask and patted the teenager on the back. "You'll have to swing with me again."
"Oh man, I can't believe I get to go inside Avengers Tower! This is so awesome!" Miles cheered, flipping his hood up and pumping a fist in the air. However, Miles suddenly stopped his celebration and shot Peter an annoyed look. "Please warn me before you jump off the building this time, man. You nearly gave me a heart attack earlier."
"Sorry about that, won't happen again." Peter apologized with a laugh as he ushered Miles toward the door. Stopping for a moment, Peter shared a brief kiss with Mary Jane as he passed her. Both lovers smiled at each other before Peter opened the front door. "I'll drop by later MJ, love you."
"Love you too, tiger." Mary Jane said with a smile, closing the door behind Peter. Once she was sure Peter and Miles were gone, Mary Jane pressed her back against the door and released a light sigh. Sinking down to the floor, Mary Jane stared up at the ceiling. "If everything works out well, I don't think I'll be seeing you tonight, Pete." Picking herself back up, Mary Jane made her way back into the kitchen. The beautiful redhead poured herself a fresh cup of coffee. After taking a long sip, Mary Jane's eyes narrowed slightly. "What game are you trying to play, Felicia?"
(Fifteen Minutes Later: Avengers Tower)
"Woah!" Miles exclaimed as he sprinted out of the elevator, his eyes wide in wonder. Wasting no time, Miles dashed toward the row bedrooms, staring at the nameplates in awe. "This is where the Avengers sleep...I can't believe I'm actually here! This is so cool!"
"He seems quite excited." Karen's amused tone chimed in Peter's earpiece. "Should I alert Natasha and Miguel that you've arrived?"
"If you don't mind, thanks, Karen." Peter said, pulling off his mask and stepping out of the elevator. Gwen and Cindy followed behind Peter, de-masking themselves. "Where is Miguel? We need to talk with him."
"He is currently in Mr. Stark's workshop. It appears that he's made some headway in our search."
"Okay, we'll meet him there. Send Natasha over too." Peter said as he tracked down Miles, gently gripping the teenager's shoulder. "C'mon Miles, you can explore the tower later, right now we've got some work to do."
"Aw, but this Captain Marvel's room! Let me-" Miles stopped mid-sentence when he saw the look on Peter's face, quickly understanding that now wasn't the time to play. "You're right. I'll have time to goof around later."
"Good, let's get going." Peter said with a smile as he wrapped an arm around Miles' shoulders, guiding the teenager through the winding hallways. It didn't take long for the four spider-people to enter Tony Stark's lab, the sounds of a clacking keyboard filling the room. Rounding a rack filled with out-of-date Iron Man armor, Peter spotted Miguel with his back to them, appearing to be preoccupied with something. "Hey, Miguel! How are you doing?"
"Oh, I'm glad you're all here..." Miguel said, stopping his furious typing and turning to face his visitors. Quickly tapping the small device on his wrist, Miguel scanned Miles, startling the teenager. "Hmmm, so you're Miles Morales...from Earth-169...that's an interesting one." After finishing his scan, Miguel deactivated his wrist computer. "Well this is great, we've found all the alternate Spider-Men that were sucked into this dimension. The only one missing is Goblin, and once we find her we can get to work rebuilding the machine to send us all back home."
"Karen mentioned that you've made some progress in your search." Gwen said as she rested her hands on her hips. "Do you have an idea where Goblin might be?"
"I don't have her exact whereabouts yet, but I've ruled out that she's in the city." Miguel replied, showing the computer screen he had been using moments earlier. Stepping closer, the four spider-people saw a map of New York. "I've been using Tony's drones, with his permission of course, to scour the entire city. If Goblin was operating in New York, I would have found her by now."
"You sound kind of upset..." Cindy pointed out as she clasped her hands together. "Does that mean something bad has happened?"
"Not necessarily..." Miguel replied, releasing a light sigh and crossing his arms over his chest. "But it does mean that Goblin has likely found someone to help her out. We'll have to expand our search area. She may not be in the city, but I doubt she's gone too far."
"If this Goblin character has gotten someone to back her, it's not gonna be some small-time thug." Natasha said as she suddenly entered the lab, popping up between Gwen and Peter. "That narrows down who we need to search for. I can have my contacts investigate all the big players in New York, see if they've run into our missing Goblin."
"That sounds like a good idea." Peter said, turning to face Black Widow. "We need to find Goblin before she can finish building this machine."
"Don't worry Peter, we'll find her." Natasha said with a smile before she turned her attention to Miles. "And who might this cutie be? I don't believe we've met, I'm-"
"You're Natasha Romanov! Black Widow!" Miles cheered with a massive grin, reaching out and enthusiastically shaking Natasha's hand. "You kick some serious ass! I'm a big fan!"
"This is Miles Morales..." Peter said with a chuckle as he patted the teenager's head, much to his annoyance. "He's the last spider-person who was dragged into this dimension." Stepping closer, Peter spoke in a hushed tone so that Miles wouldn't hear him. "I was hoping you could help him design his suit, maybe give him a tour of the tower too? He's a big Avengers fan, it'd mean a lot to him."
"You're lucky I like you, webhead." Natasha said, smiling softly and shaking her head. Crouching down slightly, Natasha got eye-level with Miles. "Nice to meet you, Miles. Why don't you come with me, I'll show you around. Then, we can make you, your own special suit."
"No way! Not only do I get a tour of Avengers Tower, but Black Widow is gonna be the one guiding me! This is the best day ever!" Miles exclaimed excitedly as he grabbed Natasha's hand and began to drag her out of the lab. "Come on, let's go!"
"Okay, okay, calm down kid, no need to pull me." Natasha said with a chuckle, waving to Peter as she followed Miles toward the exit. "I'll check in with you later, Peter!"
"That kid has too much energy." Peter said, turning back around to face Miguel. "So, you want us to do anything, Miguel?"
"Until we get any new info, there's no point in you guys swinging up and down New York looking for Goblin. You'd just be wasting your time." Miguel replied as he went back to rapidly typing on the keyboard, dozens of new files opening on the computer. "For now, you all can relax, maybe go out on patrol and stop some bad guys. I'll let you know as soon as I find something out."
"I wish there was something we could do, but Miguel's right." Gwen said, shrugging her shoulder and releasing a light sigh. "We'd just be wasting time and energy searching street-to-street."
"Well, we can still stop crimes in the city while we wait. So, we won't be just sitting around doing nothing." Cindy said as she glanced between Peter and Gwen, a small smile on her face. "I do want to go out on patrol with you two, start to get the hang of this whole superhero thing."
"I like the sound of that." Peter said, raising his wrist and checking his remaining web fluid. "We can bring Miles too once he's all ready. He needs to learn the ropes too." Popping out an empty web cartridge, Peter grabbed a fresh one off his belt and placed it into his shooter. "Why don't we rest up for a bit, then head out in like an hour?"
"That works for me, chilling out for a bit sounds amazing." Cindy said as she began to walk toward the lab's exit. "I'll be in the common area watching some TV, let me know when you're ready to go."
"Will do." Peter said with a wave, before turning to face Gwen. "What're you gonna do Gwen? Kick back and relax too?"
"As nice as that sounds, I have something I need to do first." Gwen said in a surprisingly quiet tone as a faint blush spread across her face. Peter was surprised when Gwen suddenly reached out and gently gripped his hands. Both Gwen and Peter locked eyes, intimately staring at each other. "Can we talk, Peter? Somewhere private if possible."
"U-Uh sure thing, Gwen..." Peter said in a somewhat nervous tone, starting to blush himself and feeling his heartbeat quicken. "We can talk in my room. No one will bother us in there."
"That sounds good." Gwen said with a small smile as she gave Peter's hand a quick squeeze. "Lead the way."
(Same Time: Eddie Brock's Apartment)
"Ugh, I'm never going to finish the article on time." Eddie groaned in frustration, running his hands down his face as he stared at the blank word document in front of him. "I fucking hate writer's block!"
"Maybe we should head out and eat some bad guys! That might get the creative juices flowing!" The gnarly and deep voice of Venom rang through Eddie's mind.
"God, not now! I have a deadline!" Eddie exclaimed as he hovered his hands over the keyboard, trying to will himself to start writing. "I can't waste any time right now. We'll go once I finish this damn article!"
"BAH! You're no fun, Eddie! I'm getting bored and hungry! We haven't done anything exciting in weeks!"
"I'm trying to keep a low profile right now." Eddie hissed, tightly balling his fists in annoyance. "You did eat an entire biker gang last time we went out."
"They were assaulting that poor girl! And you said it was fine for me to eat bad guys!"
"I...I did...you're right...but did you really have to eat all of them!?" Eddie asked as he angrily closed his laptop, finally yielding to his writer's block. "You scared that poor girl more than those damn bikers!"
"You...do have a point. I did go a bit overboard. I'll try to hold back next time."
"Good, I'm glad we could come to an agreement. We work better when we're on the same page." Eddie said, releasing a heavy sigh as he got up out of his seat. "Staring at this damn screen isn't going to help. Why don't we-"
Eddie was cut off when he heard knocking at the door to his apartment. Quirking an eyebrow at the unexpected interruption, Eddie made his way toward the door. Glancing through the peephole, Eddie was surprised to see three men dressed in suits and sunglasses standing out in the hallway. Getting a bad feeling, Eddie contemplated running away before something bad could happen.
"Don't you dare be a pussy and run away! If these are bad guys, we'll stop them!"
"Alright. Alright. Just be ready to take over if things go south." Eddie growled as he reached out and gripped his doorknob. Taking a deep breath, Eddie opened his door, plastering a fake smile on his face. "How can I help you gentleman?"
"Eddie Brock, we'd like you to come with us." The largest of the men said, flashing an Alchemax security badge. "Wilson Fisk would like to have a word with you."
"Oho, this sounds interesting!"
"What does Fisk want with me?" Eddie asked in a suspicious tone as his eyes narrowed dangerously. "It's not like we know each other."
"Mr. Fisk has a business opportunity for you, that's all I can say for now." The well-dressed man replied, clasping his hands behind his back. "Now please come quietly, Mr. Brock."
"I think I'll pass." Eddie said dismissively as he went to close his door. "I don't work with criminals."
"If you don't come with us now, we'll have to pay your ex-wife Anne a visit, and we won't be as polite with her." Kingpin's thug said as he reached into his breast pocket and pulled out a picture of Anne. Eddie's eyes widened in a mixture of rage and shock when he saw the photo. He could feel Venom instinctively starting to take over. "I wouldn't call out your big friend either. We already have men stationed outside Anne's apartment. If I don't report in, my men will kill her." That stopped both Eddie and Venom in their tracks, they couldn't make any moves right now. "Good, it looks like you understand the situation."
"Alright you bastards, I'll go with you...but if you touch a fucking hair on Anne's head, I'll kill all of you." Eddie growled in a mixture of his and Venom's voice, angrily stepping out in the hallway. "Let's get this over with."
"We have a car waiting." The lead thug said as he began to walk down the hall, the other two silent thugs following behind him. "Now come with us."
"I don't like this Eddie! We have to do something!"
"I know, but I can't just run off right now, they'll hurt Anne..." Eddie thought, racking his brain for a way to either get help or escape their current situation. Then, like a flash of lighting, an idea popped into Eddie's head. "I may not be able to leave...but you can. I'll go with these pricks, you go get us some help."
"Ah, I get what you mean..." As Eddie followed Kingpin's thugs, he could feel a piece of the Venom symbiote leave his body and drop onto the floor. "And I know exactly who to call for help. Don't worry Eddie, I'll get us some backup."
And done! I felt like this was a good stopping point for now. We've officially introduced Venom into the story, which opens to the possibility for Gwenom and other Venomized characters. We also saw Mary Jane, reluctantly, accepting the idea of Peter having a harem, at least to let her keep a closer eye on Felicia. The next chapter will pick up where this one left off and will hopefully have the PeterxGwen lemon scene. So, I hope you're all looking forward to that. I, unfortunately, will be working on my other stories, so you'll have to patiently wait for the next update. But it'll come out eventually. Remember to follow/favorite if you enjoyed, PLEASE LEAVE A REVIEW (I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK), remember to vote in the poll on my profile if you haven't already, check out my profile and other stories, and if you have any ideas for my stories feel free to PM me. So until next time, I'm outta here!
