It was a normal day for the Justice League, Bruce, Clark, Diana, Walley, Arthur, and Victor were on a mission. The early morning had been filled with trying to save a roadway along the ocean drive from a rockslide. The rocks teetered from high up on the hillside which ran along the drive. The hillside had been loosened and muddied by an unusually strong rain storm. Another incident connected to climate change which the League had begun to see happening over and over. That discussion would have to wait, people were in danger.
The members of the League swarmed the area, flying, climbing , and working together to stop the slide. A big boulder loosened and began a bumpy roll down only to catch Wonder Woman's attention,
"I got it!", yelled Wonder Woman.
She had taken her lasso and thrown it around the rock back onto the cliff where it had previously been. The Flash zoomed from rock to rock changing the air quality by making a ring that the rocks were unable to roll through. Superman to carry the rocks back on to the cliff. Batman and Aquaman were escorting cars safely through the passage. Cyborg stood right on the roadway if any rock, even a pebble, broke through, he blasted it.
This was a standard rescue for the League. The citizens that were in their cars just had to follow the Batmobile. Everything was running smoothly , until there was a gust of wind that was so strong it kicked up all the smaller rocks. When that happened it destabilized the efforts that had been put into holding the big rocks back.
WonderWoman was lassoing the bigger rocks one bye one, when, out of nowhere it seemed, a rock landed on her and threw her away from the road.
"Diana!l", yelled the other superheroes.
Superman quickly flew higher to scan for her through the trees.
"I'll go looking for her!", he shouted as he flew off.
The Flash, without a word, ran along the ground following Superman's scan to look for Wonder Woman. Batman, Aquaman and Cyborg finished getting the cars to safety from the rockslide. Once they got every single person to safety, they will join the others to go looking for Wonder Woman .
Meanwhile, Wonder Woman had landed with the rock on top of her in a far corner of the woods. In the woods, Diana ( no one was around, so Wonder Woman was off duty), pushed the rock off of her and threw it away. As it flew across the forested part of the sky to disappear from existence, Diana looked a to see where she was. There was nothing but tall trees. She knew then that she was separated from the group,
"Gotta go back.",she said to herself.
She climbed up to the tree's top. Off she ran to hop from tree to tree in search of the Justice League.
Little did she know she was running over the watch that Steve Trevor, her late but greatest love, had given to her years ago. It had fallen into the forest and ended up on the grassy floor of the woods. The figure that had seen the watch was a tall man in a panther suit.
