27. Chapter 27:Stepmother

Once Jedayi and Augustus made it to the living room, they sat on the chairs facing each other. Augustus decided to tell Jedayi what the possible great news was coming. Once Augustus told Jedayi, he seemed not too pleased what he just heard. Augustus had a smile that gleamed across on his face.

."So what do you think buddy?",he asked him kindly.

Jedayi was silent for a couple minutes. He didn't know what to think. Jedayi took a deep breath and looked back at him.

"Uhh..Dad, can I go upstairs please?",he asked.

Augustus seems surprised by what his son had just said.

"S-sure." ,he responded back.

He watched little Jedayi get off of his chair and walk off straight towards the staircase towards his bedroom. As Augustus listened downstairs, he could hear Jedayi's bedroom door opening and shutting.That made Augustus wonder if Jedayi was unhappy what he had just heard?
