(Okay, welcome to this rewrite! I'm Doze and lemme tell ya: I DID NOT LIKE THE EPILOGUE! Well, I didn't hate the banter between the cast and Kieran, but Carmine(slightly begrudgingly) was underused. Pecharunt's character needs to be relevant to Ogrepon and The Lousy Three than just a slight acknowledgement, as well. Any mention of Pokemon will be strictly from the team I was using during my run. Florian was walking up to the Pokémon Center Stand for a quick refresh of his Pokemon, after catching a few from Kitakami, and he picked up a ripe looking Pecha Berry at a certain point, too. What was weird to him about it was that a gardener nearby said it was a Mythical Pecha Berry. So, he figured he'd ask if Kieran knew anything about that.
"Thank you very much!" Florian said to the woman at the stand.
"Ok then, let's stock up on some Full Restore before we go, guys." Florian spoke to his Pokeball, before throwing it out.
"Wanna walk around for a bit, Mona?" Florian asked his Meowscarada, who simply meowed as a reply for yes.
The two walked over to the market, Florian noticed that there was something there he didn't see before. "Hey, what's that?" He asked, as Morgana looked at it. It looked like some sort of decoration, but it looked pretty weird. What was it doing with all the goods on display?
"'Scarada…" Morgana had said.
"It wasn't there last time. Hmm…I guess it doesn't matter." Florian then said. They grabbed a few Full Restores and put their Pokedollars on the bar.
"Okay, now we should…Huh?" Florian was about to speak, but he and his Meowscarada returned their attention to the decoration.
They both gave it a questioning look. Why did the decoration look like it moved?
"Ro-to-to-to-to-to-to-to…" Florian heard his phone going off.
"Hello?" Florian asked, "Florian! Yo! Arven here!" It was Arven calling from Uva Academy back in Paldea!
Florian smiled at seeing his best friend, "Hey, Arven? What's up?" he asked.
"Nothing much. So, I heard you went on a school trip to Kitakami. How's it going? What's it like, little buddy?" Arven asked.
Florian spoke up, "Dude, you would not believe this, but there are some cool Pokemon I managed to catch here! I made a new friend here, too! His name's Kieran…" Florian and his Meowscarada were walking off. Little did Florian realize that the Mythical Pecha Berry from earlier fell out of his backpack pocket after he left the store.
The decoration that they were baffled by its existence then chose its moment to make itself known. It grabbed the berry. "Runnnnt…" A strange voice said.
(Months later)
Florian was finishing the last of his berry-based sandwich. A Florian Classic is what some of his classmates called it. The sandwich making skills he picked up from Arven helped him when he volunteered with the lunch prep.
Florian was heading home after the semester. Honestly, Florian could use a break after the year he's had.
Going on like SIX adventures in the span of a year would tire ANYONE, surely. Still, the last two were pretty nerve racking. Especially with Kieran…
Florian looked a little down before looking back up to see his friends from Uva Academy.
Nemona, Arven & Penny were all waiting right by the door. "There he is! Oyeee! Florian!" Nemona called out to him, waving excitedly. "Hey there!" Penny said, happy to her friend. Florian smiled, "Hola, 'migas & 'migo! What are you doing here?" Florian asked. "Florian, I…look man, this is my fault." Arven said, ashamed of himself. "You know when I texted you earlier and said I wanted to come hang, right?" Arven asked.
"Oh yeah! You DID text me earlier. But why…are you apologizing, Arven?" Florian asked.
"Oh that's easy! Nemona and I weren't gonna just let Arven hog the chance to hang out with you today." Penny explained, Florian chuckled. "Yeah, it's more fun when we roll together." Nemona said.
Arven looked at the two of them, annoyed. "You say that, but who wants a bunch of uninvited guests?! That's just rude!" Arven said. "No no, Arven, it's fine." Florian said, showing that he didn't mind.
"Dude, are you sure?" Arven said, Florian simply nodded. "Well, all right then. I won't have a problem with it if you don't." Arven nodded, before turning to Nemona and Penny.
"All right, listen up, you two. We're not allowed to cause any trouble for Flor or his mom! Got it?!" Arven said, Florian just chuckled slightly. Arven has just become the voice of reason in their group.
"We're gonna be the perfect guests tonight!" Arven said, Nemona put her hands together. "You bet!" Penny just looked annoyed a little, "I'm not sure who you think you're educating here, but sure. Whatever." Penny said. Florian just smiled as he opened the door.
"Okay, come on out!" Florian released his Pokemon. "Hi, Morgana. It's been a while!" Nemona said. "Bet you've been keeping super strong for battling, huh?" Morgana looked at Nemona in mild cringe. "Meowsca…" he said, the cringe clear in his tone. Florian gently hits the shoulder of his partner Pokemon.
"Had a lot of fun memories battling with Nemona?" Florian asked, teasing the cat. Morgana just rolled his eyes.
(Later)
"Your mom's cooking was good, Florian." Nemona said, enjoying the food. "Right? And she's so pretty, my brain literally glitched when I saw her." Penny said, "Glad she remembered you, right, Nemona?" Florian asked.
Nemona looked happy, "You bet!" she said, Arven started looking around.
"Flor, your room is huge! It sure doesn't make you feel boxed in like the dorms do, yeah?" he asked, Florian nodded. "Yeah, it doesn't. I still have yet to really decorate my dorm a bit." Florian said, "Oh yeah, I guess since you came back from Blueberry Academy, you haven't had much time for that. Still, this is almost too much for me to take in!" Arven explained.
Penny gasped and smiled, "Oooh, this is a Nintendo Switch! Flor, you HAVE to let me know what games you've got on this thing!" Penny said. "We can go for a few rounds on Pokkén Tournament, if you want." Florian suggested. Nemona was holding onto Florian's Skwovet plush, "Uh…Nemona?" Florian asked.
"Oh, I love this Skwovet plush. The fluff's to die for!" Arven looked a little annoyed, "Didn't anyone teach you to keep your hands to yourself, Student Council President?" Arven said, "Arven, it's totally fine." Florian said, before he looked over.
"Oh hi, Mom." Florian said, "Hi, dear. So, how's everybody doing? Anyone want dessert? I was thinking of bringing up some sweets…" Florian's mom explained.
Penny perked up and ran toward her, "SWEETS?! Yesss!!!" She almost shouted with excitement. Arven looked a little worried, waving his arms in protest. "N-n-no way! We couldn't possibly ask you for more food! We don't mean to be a hustle!" Arven said, defensively.
Florian's mom just chuckled, "Oh sweetie, no need to stand on ceremony here!" she said, telling them to just make them at home. Arven told her "Yes ma'am", stuttering as he re-began to spoke up.
"Oh, and Florian—a letter came for you." She gave her son a letter. The boy looked at the note, "Thanks, Mom. Hmm…Oh, it's from Kieran!" Florian said, taking the letter from his mother. "Oh, so you DO know a Kieran…" Florian's mom said. "Yeah, he's my…friend from Blueberry Academy." Florian opened up the letter, "My word, you've been making plenty of friends!" Florian looked a little sad, "Y-Yeah."
Florian's mom turned to the rest of her son's friends. "I'll bring up those sweets up in just a few. I hope you'll all enjoy them!" she said to them, Penny nodded, excited for those sweets. Nemona put her fist up, "I'll come help!" she said, following Florian's mom downstairs. Penny ran downstairs, "Gah, I wanna check out the sweets, too!" She said. Florian looked at the letter.
"Your mom is nice, Flor…You're real lucky." Arven said, "Thanks, Arven. W-Wait, you're not jealous, are you?" Florian asked, slightly anxious. Arven looked confused at his friend, "Oh no! Not at all, I'm just saying. Anyways, what's up with the letter? Aren't you gonna at least open it up?" Florian looked at the letter, unsure.
Florian a bit of a breath, before opening the letter.
It read as followed:
Dear Florian,
How are you doing lately? I took a leave from school, so I'm back in Mossui Town for a while.
My sis came back with me, too.
I know we didn't get the chance to talk after everything that happened in the underdepths. I'd really like to catch up. Think you could swing a visit to Kitakami? Carmine would love to see you, I'm sure(even though I know you wouldn't, haha)Anyways, I hope to hear from you.

Arven and Florian looked at the letter, "Kieran's the friend you made during your school trip, right?" Florian looked skittish, "Y-Yeah, he's the friend I mentioned a while back." Arven looked a little dejected, folding his arms. "Yeah? I mean…guess that's good for you and all." he said. Florian squinted his eyes, "Dude, don't be jealous." Arven eyes widened before he looked back at his little buddy. "I-Wha…Who's jealous? I'm not jealous of some kid I don't even know…!" Arven denies Florian's suggestion.
"Florian! Arven! You are not gonna BELIEVE how good this stuff looks! There's too much to carry upstairs! C'mon down and eat!" They both heard Nemona shout. Arven sighed disappointed. "That Nemona…hasn't she ever heard of an inside voice?" Arven asked, sarcastically. Florian lightened up and smiled, "Okay, race you downstairs!" Florian said, deciding to run downstairs.
"Huh—? Come on, Flor, not you too!" Arven said, deciding to head downstairs, so Nemona doesn't shout at them again.
(Downstairs)
The four friends sat down at the living room couches, chowing down on the sweets. "Oooh, my poor gut…I feel like I'll burst if I eat another bite…" Penny said, slightly nauseated.
Arven glared annoyed at her, "I think what you're trying to say is "Thank you so much for feeding us. It was all really delicious!" Right?" he said, believing that she should be more respectful. Nemona stood up and looked back toward the kitchen. "I'll help out with the dishes and stuff!" She suggested. "Yeah, Mom, let me help, too." Florian got up.
"Oh, aren't you two the sweetest? But no need to lift a finger. You kids just take it easy." Florian's mom told them.
"Thanks, ma'am! You're the best!" Nemona said, happily. Florian nodded his head, Arven smiled in the moment. "At least Nemona has manners, I'll give her that." His faux-chipper expression vanished when he returned his glare to Penny. "Unlike this one..." he said, snarky. Penny gave a questioning look, "Huh? Why're you looking at me?" Arven just sighed in disappointment. Florian just chuckled, amused by the banter. "Say, Flor, about that letter…What was that place your new pal mentioned? Kitakami or something?" Arven asked.
Florian nodded his head, "So, you're gonna go and meet up with that Kieran guy again?" Arven asked. "I guess so. I'd have to let Director Clavell know…" Florian explained.
Nemona and Penny were confused by the boys's exchange. "Wait, what? You're going somewhere?" Penny asked. Nemona smiled, "Did we miss something? Something good? Spill it!" She demanded, eager to know where this conversation would go.
After they explained the letter to Penny and Nemona, "Wait, seriously?! Then, we have to go with you, Florian!" Nemona shouted.
"Whoa whoa whoa, inside voice, student council girl." Arven said, trying to calm her down, "And what's this about "we"?"
"Yeah, Nemona, why do you wanna go so badly?" Penny asked.
"Isn't it obvious? This Kieran kid was the Champion of a super elite battle academy, right? I've got to meet him."Florian just squinted his eyes in cringe, "You really mean "battle" him, huh?" he said, Penny giggling at that response.
Nemona just giggled as well, "I guess it's that obvious, huh?" she asked.
"Whoa, hold it! Flor doesn't even have plane tickets for us all to go. Not to mention, he didn't necessarily invite us, either." Arven explained. Florian chuckled at Arven's over-politeness.
"Arven, it's totally fine. Still, if you guys wanna go, how are we gonna get tickets?" Florian asked.
Nemona put her hand up to her chin, before getting a good idea. "I know! I'll make arrangements with Director Clavell and then I'll buy us some tickets." She suggested.
Penny straightened her glasses, "Oh yeah, I forgot we had a rich girl in our group…" she said. "But if we're talking going somewhere, I'll admit that this'll be my first time going on a trip with friends." Penny admitted, "It's kind of…scary and exciting at the same time."
Arven nodded his head in understanding, "Yeah, now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever taken a trip with a friend, either." Arven said. Nemona stood up in shock, "You're KIDDING! Well, it's gonna be amazing, so get excited." She said, folding her arms. "Anyways, tomorrow I'll ask Director Clavell if he can give some time off of school. I'll go ahead and buy some tickets when I get home." Nemona looked up again as she told them they should probably break for now.
"Okay, sounds good! Let's say…we meet up again in front of Mesagoza's southern gate!" Arven said. Penny then stood up, "Roger. See you all later, then!"
Florian finally stood up, "Okay, well, I'll see you guys tomorrow." he said. The four of them nodded, while Florian's friends turned to his mother. "Thanks for having us over!" the three of them said.
"Thanks for coming over, you guys." Florian said.
"Oh, no problem!" Nemona said, on her way out. "Yeah, I mean, it was a blast to hang out." Penny said. "Okay okay, we've spent too much time here, you guys." Arven said. "See ya tomorrow, Flor!"
Nemona, Penny and Arven walked out the door, while Florian's mom walked back into the living room. "Oh, Nemona and the others left already?" She asked, "Yeah, Mom. Sorry for the unexpected company." Florian apologized for how chaotic it turned out. "Oh no worries, dear. Your friends are all such nice kids I was really glad to meet them all." Florian smiled, "Well, I do have another in Kitakami, his name's Kieran and his only tolerated sister Carmine." Florian said, "He's actually inviting me back since he got time off of school at BB Academy. Even gave me a ticket." Florian explained.
"Oh, I see. Well, I want you to be careful if you're going off on your own, honey." his mom advised. "I've got my partner Pokémon, and my friends are thinking of coming along, too. I should be okay." Florian said, "Besides, Kieran said he wanted to be friends again, so I doubt he'd do anything right now." he thought to himself.
Tomorrow would no doubt be a weird journey, but Florian admitted it would he cool to see his friends from Uva Academy meet Kieran & Carmine.
(Okay, I will end things off right here. So, not much of this chapter has changed from its original story so far, but there will be a few changes once the Treasure-Gang gets to Kitakami. As for this chapter, how we get the Mythical Pecha Berry was thru mystery gift, so that's where it's more fanfic-ish. Then, there's how we just go to Kitakami, leave straight back for Paldea, then immediately go back to Kitakami, that's what the start is for, like we're just barely leaving Kitakami before we saw Pecharunt. Finally, Kieran giving ALL of the group tickets. I just changed that cuz he only knows us the player, not Nemona, Penny & Arven.
