Outside the FBI, a fully-recovered Mr X walked out of one of the back doors with Jenny, who had just gotten him out of the cell that Sonic placed him in earlier.

"Thanks for getting me out of that stupid slammer, Jenny. I am so going to give that hedgehog and his friends a piece of my mind when I find them." Mr X declared, shaking his fist in frustration. "Now, where did they go?"

Suddenly, the FBI truck that Anne, Sonic and the rest of the gang were riding in suddenly drove passed them and it was headed straight for the main gate to escape. Mr X also spotted Sprig through the back door window, who quickly hid himself away. Sonic then appeared from the window and blew some raspberries at Mr X, much to his frustration.

"Shut the gate!" Mr X yelled while running to the guard in the exit booth, who was busy with on his phone. "Shut the gate! Shut it!"

The guard gasped in surprise before he turned around and slammed his fist onto a red button, causing the wooden gate stick to lower down as the guard and Mr X shared a thumbs-up with each other. Unfortunately for them, the heroes' FBI truck destroyed the stick by driving straight through it and heading out in the main road.

"Don't know why would thought that would work." The guard admitted as Mr X growled annoyingly and activated his communicator.

"It's go time, people! Let's move!" Mr X ordered.

A bunch of FBI agents marched into three vans and they started driving them to pursue the heroes. Jenny parked a van next to Mr X, who instantly got into the passenger seat and they started driving ahead. As Anne, Sonic, the Plantars and their team were still driving down the roadway to make it back to the warehouse, Anne looked out the back door windows and she gasped when she saw the FBI chasing them from behind.

"A high speed chase on the roads. One of my favourite things in the world." Sonic said with an enthusiastic smile.

"Okay, time to ditch these losers." Anne told everyone.

"What do we even do?" Davika asked.

"Throw stuff!" Sprig answered before Anne kicked the door open.

She, the Plantars and Sonic started throwing out random stuff and two of the FBI vans crashed when the objects hit them, but the third one managed to evade them. Anne, Sonic and Sprig yelped in fright as the truck bashed into them and sent them flying to the back with everyone else holding on for their lives.

"If I wasn't sitting here, I would give the government a piece of my ticked-off mind!" Hana shouted in rage.

"Polly!" Anne called.

"Make them eat oil!" Sonic stated.

"Way ahead of ya!" Polly replied as she held up Frobo and shook him.

The wheeled robot ended up spitting out more oil and it splattered all over the FBI van's windows, causing the driver to steer out of control.

"I can't see! Also, that's super groooooss!" The FBI driver shouted dramatically before crashing, which Mr X saw from his vehicle.

"No, they're fine." Mr X said, waving it off. "They have airbags."

Jenny smirked and put on a pair of crimson shades as Mr X activated a function on his shoes that made them glow in a light-blue colour. The federal agent then stepped out the van and used his magnetic shoes to stick himself on the front of the vehicle before he brought out a baton that emitted electricity.

"Oh boy, Baldy Lip-Paint's gaining on us." Sonic said worriedly.

"We've gotta do something about that jerk!" Jason stated.

"Don't worry, I'll handle him! The rest of you just think of something and do it quickly!" Sonic told the others before speeding out the van with his super speed.

"Sonic, wait!" Anne yelled while reaching out.

Sonic ran straight at the van in front of him and jumped straight at Mr X, who quickly avoided an incoming spin-dash attack from the blue hedgehog as he landed skilfully ontop of the van.

"Sorry, Baldy Lip-Paint, but I'm not letting you hitch on me and my friends' ride!" Sonic announced.

"Stop calling me that, you blue fuzz ball!" Mr X retorted as he swung his electric baton, only for Sonic to easily avoid it.

"Missed me, missed me! Now you've gotta kiss me, loser!" Sonic mocked while making loser gestures.

Mr X growled in anger as he kept on swinging his baton at Sonic and the blue hedgehog repeatedly avoided them all.

"Man, you've got the worst throwing arm I've ever seen!" Sonic quipped, still wearing his signature smug smile. "Have you never played baseball before?!"

"Just shut up and stay still!" Mr X yelled, swinging at the blue hedgehog and keeping all his angered focus on him. "I'm so gonna enjoy taking you to the lab for some dissection!"

"No thanks! I'd rather stay in one piece!" Sonic replied, zooming all over the van.

"Sonic's got Mr X distracted! Quick, we need something else to throw!" Anne stated.

"How about…" Sprig said before he shot out his tongue and used it to grab a wooden barrel full of Kombucha. "This?!"

The pink frog then tossed the barrel straight towards the van Sonic and Mr X were battling on.

"Sonic, get out of the way!" Davika called out, earning the blue hedgehog's attention.

"Well it's been loads of fun, Baldy Lip-Paint, but this hedgehog's gotta make a run!" Sonic announced before he zoomed right away.

Mr X glared right after the blue hedgehog, but he gained a shocked expression when he saw the Kombucha barrel headed for him.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me." Mr X said with a deadpan expression as he was then splattered by Kombucha when the barrel made contact, making Jenny hit the breaks on their vehicle.

Sonic speeded right back to the heroes' van and leaped right through the open door, landing in the back in style.

"You're welcome, ladies and gentlemen! Saving the day from bad guys and dumb government people is always a blast!" Sonic quipped with a grin, causing his friends to cheer for him in response.

"Great one, Sonic, just like always!" Anne complimented.

"You really are amazing!" Molly Jo remarked.

"And a little bit headstrong." Oum admitted.

"But you're still the best!" Polly announced happily.

"I don't know what would happen if you didn't come to Earth!" Dr Jan commented.

"Let's save that 'What-If' discussion for another time." Sonic replied,

Everyone just laughed humorously as they kept driving away, while Mr X simply watched them escape and peeled a Kombucha piece off his face while covered in the stuff.

"Ugh, great." Mr X muttered annoyingly, stepping down on the road as Jenny ran up to him with a first-aid kit. "I'm fine, Jenny. That annoying, super-fast rodent may have bested me in combat, but…not before I placed a tracker on him when he wasn't looking! Hahaha!"

To prove his was right, the federal agent showed a watch that was displaying a beeping red dot on it. Back with the heroes, Sonic's left foot was shown to have a tiny tracker on the back of it as he and the others were too busy celebrating their escape to notice. Dr Jan kept on driving their vehicle back to Los Angelos to make it to the warehouse.

Once everyone had gotten to the warehouse, Anne, Sonic and the Plantars were watching their friends and family get the portal machine powered up with the generator they stole and all the other equipment they acquired. Anne also had her signature Newtopia knight chest armor on.

"Everything's looking nice, people! Keep this up and we're gonna be travelling through world in no time!" Sonic said in encouragement.

"Really wish I was just doing this for my niece instead of an overexcited hedgehog and crazy frog people." Hana muttered to herself.

"Just pretend to be happy, dear." Mani replied while carrying some metal plates.

"I can't believe it. We did it!" Anne remarked excitedly.

"Grab the other generators. We've got one shot at this." Terri said as Ally and Jess carried a generator over towards the others.

"We're on it, Miss Terri." Jason replied.

"I think you've got a few words to say to your folks before our big trip, Frog Princess." Sonic told Anne, gesturing behind her.

Anne turned to where Sonic was gesturing and saw her parents standing behind her with soft smiles on their faces. The Thai-American girl knew she most likely wasn't going to see them again for a long time if the portal machine worked, so she approached Bee and Oum.

"Here. For your trip." Oum said as she gave Anne her bag, which was filled with items and snacks.

"Guys, this is amazing." Anne said gratefully.

"Parents of the month, over here." Sonic added with a grin.

"We have had your care package prepared for a while, waiting for this very moment." Oum told her daughter before she, Bee and Anne shared a big hug.

"We are so proud of you. Especially about how you've managed to make Sonic a part of this family." Bee said proudly as Anne formed some happy tears in her eyes before breaking apart their hug. "Now both of you go finish this thing and bring your friends home."

"Don't worry, Papa Wheels. We're gonna save the world, bring back Hangout Queen and Clumsy Brains and be home in time for a game of baseball." Sonic replied. "It's something I've been dying to do with you guys."

"We know, Sonic." Oum said, laughing a bit.

As Anne walked away to the portal machine, the Plantars were the next ones to approach the Boonchuy parents as Sprig and Polly hugged them both.

"Thanks, Mr and Mrs B. For everything." Sprig said in gratefulness as his eyes watered up, along with his sister's.

"We'll miss you." Polly sobbed.

"We'll take good care of Anne." Hop Pop assured with a kind smile. "And we'll make sure Sonic behaves himself, too."

"I heard that!" Sonic called.

With all their goodbyes said, Anne, Sonic, the Plantars and Frobo stood next to each other in preparation for the portal machine's activation and their departure to Amphibia.

"Remember, if this machine still doesn't end up working, we've got my rings for a good old Plan B." Sonic reminded, holding up his bag of rings.

"We know, Sonic." Anne replied.

"Everyone ready? Got everything?" Terri asked, standing at the controls with Dr Jan.

"We're ready." Anne answered.

"All set for the ultimate adventure to defeat an evil newt king." Sonic announced confidently.

"I'm set." Hop Pop added as he brought out an avocado from his jacket and stared at it with shiny eyes. "I've got one avocado left to seed my avocado dynasty."

"Why does he like avocados so much?" Davika asked quietly, a bit weirded out.

"It's best not to question it, Davs." Bee replied.

"Alright, here we go!" Terri stated, pressing down on the keyboard's enter button.

All the generators began to charge up the portal machine to maximum power and blue electric energy was shot right in the center, beginning to energise a portal in front of the heroes.

"Okay, it's working. We're making some really good progress, here." Sonic said while smiling hopefully, feeling like the machine was going to work this time.

A huge wave of energy and light then erupted from the machine and caused Anne, Sonic and the Plantars to become temporally blinded. When the heroes reopened their eyes, Anne gasped at seeing that the portal to Amphibia was still very small.

"Oh no." Anne said, gaining a sad expression.

"It doesn't look any bigger." Hop Pop admitted.

"That's because it's still too tiny." Sonic said.

"We still can't fit through!" Sprig exclaimed in concern.

"Guys, what can we do?" Anne asked desperately.

"All those generators weren't enough." Dr Jan said, frowning in disappointment.

"That was twice the power we estimated it would need. If that didn't work, I'm afraid that…nothing will." Terri admitted, causing everyone else to gasp in disbelief.

Knowing that the portal machine was pretty much not gonna help them get to Amphibia, Sonic let out a soft sigh and reached into his ring bag.

"Does this mean we move onto Plan B?" Sonic asked, holding up a ring.

"I guess it does, Sonic." Anne said, managing to put on a tiny smile.

"Yeah, we're really glad you've got those teleporting rings with you." Sprig added.

"And you're lucky that I broke into your house." Sonic replied jokingly. "Now, all I've gotta do is imagine a world of frog people and-"

But then, the blue hedgehog never got the chance to use his ring when a lot of FBI soldiers suddenly charged into the warehouse through the windows.

"Everybody, freeze!" A soldier called.

"Nobody move!" Another soldier ordered.

"Oh, these things are good." A soldier said while pointing at a jar of yogurt-covered pretzels.

Jenny kicked open one of the doors and directed all the FBI soldiers to surround Anne, Sonic and the Plantars, who backed up worriedly.

"Seriously?! Can't things just go our way without a bunch of dumb bad guys showing up and ruining the whole moment?!" Sonic asked in annoyance.

"Welcome to the life we live with, dude." Polly said while shrugging casually.

"But, we were so close!" Anne protested, feeling hopeless right now.

Things only got more bad when the group heard slow clapping and saw that it was coming from Mr X, who walked right up to the main heroes.

"Great, here comes Baldy Lip-Paint once again in all his glamorous glory." Sonic said sarcastically.

"For the last time, stop calling me that!" Mr X ordered firmly before clearing his throat and regaining his superior posture. "Anyway, not bad, Anne. Not bad. Turns out, you were more capable than I thought. Especially with the annoying blue hedgehog that runs faster than a road runner. But you still fail because, no matter what you do, you're still…just…a kid."

However, everyone then started to hear some low snickering and it soon turned into a very hysterical and loud laughter. Mr X saw that it was coming from Sonic as he was laughing his head off for an unknown reason, leaving pretty much everyone confused.

"This is getting too weird." An FBI soldier muttered.

"Hey, what're you laughing about?" Mr X questioned Sonic with a frown.

"I'm sorry! I-I just…I just didn't think you could be an even bigger idiot than you already were!" Sonic stated humourlessly, calming down his laughter a bit.

Sonic and the Plantars held in their laughter after hearing this, while Mr X gained an angry vein on his head.

"What was that?" The federal agent asked, gritting his teeth.

"You heard me. This girl right here is not a kid." Sonic replied as he gestured to Anne. "She is, by far, the greatest human on this whole planet. I haven't seen it in person, but I've heard of all the awesome things she's done. She's beaten evil psychos, made some cool friends and she's the reason I'm still on Earth instead of a mushroom planet."

"Wait, there's a planet full of mushrooms?" Humphrey asked, a little bit surprised.

"That's not the weirdest thing we've heard about all day." Molly Jo replied.

"Seriously, hedgehog? You think a kid like her is able to do that stuff?" Mr X asked with a smirk as Sonic then marched up to him.

"You bet your sweet baldness I do! Frog Princess over here is totally awesome at pretty much everything she's able to over the past few months! Heck, she gave me the home I've needed my whole life and I couldn't ask for anyone else! Not even with her parents and the Plantars!" Sonic stated, glaring hardly. "And if you can notice all that stuff about her, then you're just a brain-dead loser with terrible taste in fashion!"

Anne felt very touched by Sonic defending her and calling out all the great things she did, smiling down at the blue hedgehog in kindness. Even the Plantars, Anne's parents and their friends were proud of Sonic's defence for the Thai-American. On the other hand, Mr X growled in anger from being insulted and stood-up by an alien hedgehog that's been a pain in his backside for very long.

"Oh, you think you know better than me, you little spiky rodent?!" Mr X asked angrily while pointing down at Sonic. "I'm the highly experienced federal agent here! You're a teenage fuzz-ball with no pants and the colour of a blueberry! I'll-"

But suddenly, Anne walked right behind Sonic and slapped Mr X's hand away, leaving him frozen in shock. Sonic could see Anne's eyes were hidden by her bangs and smiled at her, walking back to give her some space.

"Sonic's right, X. But to be honest, so are you. I am just a kid. But today reminded me that with the right people by my side, especially ones who always have my back…I can do ANYTHING!"

And just like that, Anne managed to muster the courage she needed to activate her Calamity powers and this made pretty much everyone who wasn't seen it yet become stunned in astonishment by the sight.

"What the-" Mr X began saying

Anne then stomped her foot right down and created a powerful shockwave that blew Mr X, Jenny and the FBI soldiers away.

"What are you?!" Mr X asked in bewilderment, sitting up and straightening out his glasses.

"Not what, who!" Sonic corrected. "She's my best human friend, Anne Boonchuy!"

"Hey, she's my best human friend!" Sprig retorted, jumping on Anne's shoulder.

"We can share." Sonic said casually.

Sprig could only rolls his eyes and looked behind to see something very astounding.

"Anne, look! The portal!" Sprig called while pointing behind.

Anne turned around and noticed the small portal was starting to grow bigger, with the controls spiralling out of control from an immense energy overload. Anne smirked as she knew her Calamity power was fuelling the portal and held her palm out to it before emitting a blue energy aura that made it grow bigger.

"Oh, we're doing some energy generating for our dimensional door? How's about I join in?" Sonic suggested with an eager smile, making his hands emit blue electric energy.

"Go for it, Sonic." Anne nodded.

Sonic then thrusted his hands out and electrical energy was shot straight into the portal, adding more power to it and making it grow more larger with Anne's assistance. Eventually, the portal was fully grown and it showed a way into Amphibia itself, much to everyone's amazement.

"The portal!" Dr Jan exclaimed in awe.

"How is that possible?!" Terri asked.

"You two never said Anne could become a Super Saiyan!" Hana stated to Bee and Oum.

"This is different!" Bee replied.

"They're both powering it, like a pair of-" Ally started.

"Human and hedgehog batteries!" Jess finished.

Mr X soon stood back up and stared at the ginormous portal in absolute shock along with Jenny and the soldiers.

"What…is that place?" Mr X asked before he became creeped out at seeing a familiar giant insect with a severed arm. "And, WOAH! Is that a giant praying mantis?! Men, seize them! This is it!"

The FBI soldiers started charging straight at Anne, Sonic and the Plantars, while the blue hedgehog narrowed his eyes and kept radiating electrical energy.

"You want a piece of the blue blur? You got it!" Sonic stated before zooming at the FBI soldiers.

He speedily kicked down two soldiers in the face and knocked down three more with a spin dash attack. Sonic noticed an FBI soldier was charging at him from behind with a baton and the blue hedgehog quickly sped behind the soldier before knocking him down with a back kick. Sonic grew a smirk when he turned to Mr X and zoomed right behind him before sticking his finger in his mouth and then rubbing it in the government agent's ear, making his sequel like a girl.

"What's the matter?! Don't you like a Wet-Willy?" Sonic asked tauntingly.

"Stop it! Please! I hate Wet-Willies!" Mr X screamed before Sonic immediately knocked him down on the floor.

"Yeah, Sonic's kicking some government butt!" Polly remarked.

"He can't fight them forever! We need a diversion!" Anne stated before she then looked back at the giant mantis on the other side of the portal, gaining an idea and a smile as she turned to the elder of her frog family. "Hop Pop, give me your avocado!"

"Oh, come on!" Hop Pop complained, not wanting to give up his favourite food.

"Dude!" Anne shouted urgently.

"Give her the ugly fruit, already!" Sonic called out while spin-dashing a soldier in the face.

Hop Pop could only groan in defeat as he brought out his avocado and kissed it sadly, handing it over to Anne. The Thai-American girl split the avocado in half and held it up towards the portal.

"Hey, bug boy! Ya hungry?!" Anne asked loudly.

The avocado's aroma made its way towards the mantis and it found the scent very delicious before moving straight to the portal, causing Anne and the Plantars to move out of the way. The giant mantis then emerged from the portal and it let out a ferocious screech, much to the FBI soldiers' shock as Sonic looked between them.

"I'll leave you folks to yourselves!" Sonic said, zooming back to his team and grabbing his blue backpack in the process.

"Ahh! What is that?!" A soldier asked fearfully.

"A giant bug?!" Another soldier guessed.

"Bugs don't eat people, right?" A third soldier asked, only for the mantis to grab him with its mouth.

All the FBI soldiers charged at the mantis and started attacking it with everything they had, while also being distracted by the heroes.

"Now's our chance! Come on!" Anne told the Plantars and Sonic before they ran towards the portal.

The Plantars and Frobo were the first ones to go through, but Anne and Sonic stopped for a bit and they turned towards Bee, Oum, Davika and her family as the FBI was still busy fighting the mantis.

"Anne, take care!" Oum called kindly. "You too, Sonic!"

"Make sure you kick that newt king's scaly tail!" Davika stated in encouragement as Jason grinned kindly.

"If one of you die, I'm blaming it on my so-called brother-in-law!" Hana announced, making Bee feel a uncomfortable.

"Don't worry, we know you'll still be alive!" Mani reassured.

"We love you!" Bee added, pointing to his heart to prove his sincerity.

Anne smiled and pointed to her heart as well, while Sonic simply gave the Boonchuy parents a thumbs-up.

"We'll be back before you know it." Sonic assured.

"Of course. We always do come back." Anne replied in agreement.

The two of them jumped right into the portal and it closed up once they were fully in Amphibia. The mantis backed away screeching as it was being overwhelmed by the FBI soldiers and threw them all away like rag dolls. Jenny and a soldier ran up with a weapon in each of their hands and they fired a pair of spinning ropes that tangled around the mantis and electrocuted it, causing the giant insect to fall back on the portal machine and destroy it in the process. Seeing that Anne, Sonic and the Plantars had managed to escape once again, Mr X clenched his hand in anger and growled before he turned towards Bee and Oum as Davika and her family stood by them.

"YOU!" Mr X shouted, stomping towards the Boonchuy adults and pointing at them. "I hope you're ready to explain yourselves!"

But then, Davika moved the federal agent's finger away and angrily kicked him in the lower area, making Mr X's eyes shoot open in pain and he kneeled down while clenching his manhood parts.

"Not…down…there…" Mr X wheezed in pain.

"That's for antagonising my family, jerk." Davika said with a firm glare.

"Good one, sis." Jason complemented.

"That's my girl." Hana added proudly.

"And we hope you're ready to listen!" Bee told Mr X as he and Oum glared down at him.

"We've got a lot to talk about!" Oum added sternly.

"Oh…goody." Mr X said, feeling very nervous at the moment.

(Linebreak)

Meanwhile, Anne began to open her eyes and found herself laying on a dirty surface with her face a bit damaged from the floor. She looked to her left and noticed Sonic was laying right next to her while groaning a bit.

"Sonic?" Anne asked.

"Anne?" Sonic asked.

The two of them looked around and they realised they weren't on Earth anymore, but Amphibia. The land of talking frogs, toads and newts.

"We made it. I can't believe it." Anne remarked with a small laugh.

"So this is Amphibia? I guess we didn't need my rings, after all." Sonic quipped.

"We sure didn't." Anne said as they both stood up and high-fived.

Anne and Sonic then turned towards the Plantars and Frobo, who stood on the edge of the hill they were on.

"Uh, guys?" Anne asked, a little confused by what her frog family was doing as she and Sonic walked up to them and saw they had very horrified expressions.

"Why are you all staring out in the open and looking like you've seen a heartbreaking moment?" Sonic questioned curiously.

When Anne and Sonic followed the Plantars' gaze, both of them gasped in utter shock and horror at the sight in front of them. What was once a large field of nature, trees, wildlife and peace was now a wasteland of factories, destroyed landmarks, robotic soldiers and King Andrias' flying castle was soaring above all of the chaos in the air with many miniature castles surrounding it.

"Holy shamoly." Sonic muttered, looking on in depression.

"What…happened here?" Anne asked sadly as it looked like things haven't gotten much better for the heroes.
