CHAPTER 18: A NAME FOR A GIRL...

After putting the casserole in the oven, Kensi and Marty made their way to the living room...

THE LIVING ROOM...

Kensi now sat with her back against Marty's chest and his arms around her with his hands on her adomen; as Kensi held a book of baby names in her hands.

"Right there..." Marty said pointing at a name and Kensi turned her head to look at him before looking back at the name.

"Alexandra, a form of Alexander from the Greek meaning defender of mankind." Kensi read before looking at him again and when she did he was smiling.

"What do you think? This baby might follow in our footsteps one day." Marty said putting his chin on her shoulder.

"Alexandra Deeks..."

Kensi said sounding out the name.

"...Sounds good. Now we just need a middle name." Kensi pointed out.

"What about that one?" Marty asked pointing at the name. "Noelle, really?" Kensi asked.

"Mm-hmm, think about it Alexandra Noelle Deeks. Noelle comes from the french meaning Christmas and I'm sure you remember what happened Christmas Day." Marty said planting a soft kiss on her neck.

"Th-that was the day the baby was concieved." Kensi said a with a moan, as she tilted her head to allow him better access to her neck and Marty nodded as he kissed her shoulder this time.

The book dropped from Kensi's hands and she turned to face him, her lips finding his. Just as things between them got more heated...the timer went off singaling the casserole was done.

"Really?" Marty asked with a groan at the same time his and Kensi's stomach's let out twin growls.

"I guess we better go get dinner out of the oven." Kensi said, but seemed reluctant to get up.

"We can continue this after dinner, right?" Marty asked hopefully. "Continue what?" Kensi shot back wtih a grin as she walked past him heading for the kitchen.

THE KITCHEN...

"Really, Princess? You know what I'm talking about." Marty said as he got the oven mitts and got the casserole out of the oven.

"You're always making fun of my cooking skills. I think that casserole is a little burned." Kensi said looking at the casserole.

"I was a little distracted and you were the one keeping me from getting up sooner." Marty shot back and Kensi narrowed her eyes. "So it's my fault you burned the casserole? I never told you to start kissing me." Kensi growled.

"No, no, I didn't say it was your fault. Maybe it was both of us. I just couldn't resist how sexy you are. How about we eat dinner?" Marty suggested.

"How about you go back to your apartment?" Kensi countered. "What? Kensi, you can't be serious." Marty said in shock and a little hurt at what she had suggested.

"I think you need to go now, Deeks. I just want to be alone tonight." Kensi said with tears in her eyes before turning and heading to her bedroom. "Kensi, come on!" Marty called as he walked out of the kitchen and walked to Kensi's bedroom only to find the door closed.

"If you even think about opening that door I will shoot you." Kensi warned. "Kensi, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to imply that it was your fault I burned dinner a little bit." Marty said through the closed door.

"Just leave, Deeks!" Kensi aswered. "Kens, can we talk about this?" Marty asked, but Kensi didn't answer.

After trying to get her to talk to him for another five minutes...Marty gathered his and Monty's things before finally leaving.
