Chapter 9
Dragon Dreams and a Strong Marriage
Unknown Location?
Aegon looked around; he had no idea where he was. The last thing he could truly remember was the Faceless man leaving his room and picking up the Elder Wand, feeling a surge of power as the wand, stone and cloak were absorbed into his body, making his Valyrian Blood burn with an energy he had not felt since …. Well since his old life.
"Come to us", a voice echoed from the dense fog, putting the already weary prince on high alert, summoning his wand to his palm.
"Who the bloody hell said that!" Aegon snarled, reverting to a good old-fashioned British Accent, which later on would confuse him considerably.
"Come to usss, fly to the east, and you will hear our call to fly to where the seas smoke and even dragons burn." Before he could even say a word, he was dragged back to the land of the living by a slap on his face from a very tiny hand.
"It seems my slumber has been disrupted by a little dragon" Aegon said to his attacker opening his eyes to see his adorable little sister giggling while his Rhaenryra and his mother laughing at his misfortune.
Rolling his eyes, he hugged his little sister before getting up to get dressed he asked his mother if father was awake when she confirmed he was he gave his thanks before giving a nod to Rhaenryra telling her their plan was a go.
As he made his way through the Red Keep, he saw his, Target Ser Harwin Strong. Calling to him the Lord Commander turned and bowed seeing the Crown Prince. "Ser Harwin, walk me with I wish to discuss something with you.

"You wish to speak to me, Rhaenryra, Alicent Hightower asked with relief. It got her out of an awkward breakfast with her father and older brother, Sir Gwayne.
Rhaenryra smiled, she did care for her friend, but she would be completely unsuited as Aegon's Wife that and she was a possessive dragon, Aegon belonged to her and Laena,
Alicent Pov 10 mins later
I didn't know how to feel …. that's a lie I know how to feel I am so happy the gods could see the smile on my face, Aegon and Rhaenryra were organizing a betrothal for me with Sir Harwin Strong, they were even offering a strong dowry 25,000 gold dragons.
For the new hour or so I was over the moon until I was summoned to the small council chamber, it was then I knew my father had found out and was going to try and stop it to my great relief while my father was in the chamber as was the rest of the council including ser Harwin Prince Aegon and Rhaenryra alongside Lady Laena.
"So, lady Alicent, my son has come to the council today to inform us that he and Rhaenryra have arraigned a betrothal for yourself with Ser Harwin, is that right?" the King asked with a gentle smile on his face.
Smiling at ser Harwin who grinned at her. "Yes your Grace, I have great feelings for Ser Harwin and would gladly be his wife if he will have me." I saw Laena smile dreamily and I had to agree with her.
"Well Ser Harwin, your father here has said it is your choice, so do you wish to marry Lady Alicent." The King asked surprising me that Lord Lyonel Strong would allow his son to pick, after all he was the Lord of his House.
"I would your grace." I heard Harwin say, making me smile I could see my fathers eyes burning with anger I knew it was best not to look at him.
My attention was brought back to the King clapping his hands together. "Excellent you shall both be married within a month more than enough time for your families to come to the capital."
I thought that was more than generous. Until I saw my father's eyes, they were cold and calculating I knew that look, I feared that look.
"Your Grace, I am six and Ten Nameday old, I would prefer to get married as soon as possible I long to be a mother."
Normal POV
Three days later Septon Eustace wed Ser Harwin and Lady Alicent in holy matrimony under the Faith of the Seven, Aegon smiled at the union knowing he would soon be doing the same thing, but right now he was just tired the past 3 nights had been a nightmare unable to sleep as he kept hearing those voices.
However, what did keep him going was seeing a very angry Lord hand having to watch his daughter get married, and while he was the heir to a noble house in good standing, it wasn't the Iron Throne; they cheered the young couple as they made their way to their new chambers to consummate the marriage.
Aegon managed to get his father mother and uncle alone to inform them of his dreams he didn't expect his father to believe him right away. "You have had a Dragon Dream, Aegon. While I would say to follow the instruction the dream gave you, the location itself is too risky."
He was right about that his dream was telling him to go to the blood Freehold of Old Valyria, his father and mother asked him to sleep on it and they would discuss it tomorrow before they left leaving him and Daemon alone.
His uncle smiled before telling him. "Leave tonight at the hour of the wolf ill have supply's ready for you at the Dragon Pit." Aegon smiled knowing he could always trust his uncle for support, thanking him he left to his chambers readying his armour sword and travel cloak.
After all he would have to sneak out of the Red Keep. "In the morning my Prince I will be able to show your family everything you see." Melisandre's voice came from behind him as she watched him from his couch with a book in his hand.
"And just how are you able to do that Melisandre?" he asked puzzled on how she would be able to complete such a feat, he knew she had magic but surly not that powerful.
"Your magic has grown far stronger my prince; I am bound to you till death your family will be able to see everything you see." She told him before she stood bowed and left but not before kissing his cheek.
Later that night, Aegon sunk out of the Red Keep and made his way to the Dragon Pit, walking through the streets of Kings Landing. He didn't know why, but it seemed the gold cloaks he encountered turned the other way.
Realising his Uncle Daemon probably paid them off he continued to make his way through the streets until he made it to the Hill of Rhaenys, where a group of Gold Cloaks seemed to be waiting.
"My Prince Arrax has been made Ready the Dragon Keepers will report you left to the king after 2 hours to give you enough time to escape." A captain told him before stepping aside allowing him to make his way up to the Dragon Pit.
It would be 7 in the morning when his parents were awoken to the news that he had left the capital for Old Valyria hours later than planned apparently the Dragon Keeper had fallen asleep and was only woken by his relieve.
Viserys was in the Throne room traying to calm his wife who was all but demanding they go after him Balerion had gone to the Freehold and come back injured. The Black Dread injured and he was meant to be the largest dragon left alive.
"Brother Aegon's Red Priestess is here she claims she can aid us by showing us where he is? Daemon called confusing the court who had gathered even the newly Married Alicent Strong offering comfort to Rhaenryra."
Not bothering to ask how? Queen Aemma just told her to do it Viserys quickly agreeing, they and the whole court watched in shock aww and fear in the case of some members as the Red Priestess arms caught fire as she used her link to Aegon to create a large ring of fire that eventually solidified the centre turning black before it showed clouds and the back of a dragons head.
Septon Eustace Screamed, "THIS HEATHEN USES MAGIC! KINGSGUARD! KILL HER DEFEND YOUR KING!"
"BE SILENT! Roared Viserys, shocking the whole court into silence "never attempt to command my guards again Septon, if this helps us see what my son, your future King is doing I will permit it,"
The court stayed silent, especially when General Rhogar marched in with 60 armed legionaries to enforce the King's will and protect Melisandre. They all decided to watch as Aegon flew across the narrow sea only to be engulfed in flames that his own Dragon blew.
When it cleared, however, they were shocked to see he was no longer above the narrow sea but the Freehold of Old Valyria. "Okay, Arrax, let's do this," Aegon said before directing his mount to the ruins below. This time, they all could hear a group of speak loudly. "Finally, a Dragon Lord returns home".
Authors Note: Yes, I know, openly showing magic would cause massive unrest, particularly in the more Devout Regions of the King's Realm when they find out. I say they don't know Aegon has Magic as it was the Red Priestess that conjured the link.
Plus, the nobility know Magic exists due to the Dragons.
But don't worry I have a back up plan just in case I change my mind while writing the next chapter.
Anyway, I Hope you enjoyed it
Until Next time.
