Chapter 46

Now that is an Entrance

(Artemis)

The campers eventually returned just as my hunters were eating an overdue lunch. By the time everything had been sorted out after Percy's return and explanation it had been almost 2 o'clock and they had begun complaining. So as it was the campers after some initial confusion at finding the hunters filling the dining pavilion, had joined them in their late meal.

I was currently seated at the head table with Dionysius, Chiron and the gods of heroes. Though they had all elected to leave a free seat on either side of me as if I would take offense if someone sat close to me. Which in all honesty was pretty true most of the time. So as it was there was a free space between me and my useless brother who was no longer sporting a bandage around his head, clearly Apollo had checked he was alright unfortunately.

I was more concerned however with keeping an eye on for Nemea who was busy walking along the hunters table using her current kitten form as a means to beg for scraps of food. Now if the hunters had liked the Lioness's presence when she was fully grown it was nothing compared to the attention they were languishing on the golden fur ball now. It was almost as if they had all become little girls with a new pet as they all practically fought over who got to look after her next, before eventually Jacqueline had scooped the cub and taken her with her and the rest of them all started bickering over who had her next.

I was not so much watching her in case she got into trouble but more so much as if there was a sign Percy's time spell was fading off, the last thing I needed was her suddenly turning back into a three ton Lioness and crushing half the hunt to death.

Speaking of Percy he had still not returned from wherever he had gone. Thalia and Reyna had said he mentioned something about making a big entrance but as of yet there was no sign of him, much to my annoyance as it might have distracted Dionysius from the stupid speech he was giving about how it was lucky that we gods had chosen to rescue the campers and he would rather if they had all been killed so he would not have to be here. Despite the fact he had needed rescuing as well and that the fact the majority of the credit for the victory went to Percy rather than his own greatly inflated role in the proceedings.

I was glad though that there was no mention of Percy however for the simple fact it left them in the dark about his return.

I was just about to protest about Dionysius lying about his role in fighting Oceanus when I got a glimpse of a flash in the sky before something struck the edge of the pavilion in a blaze of light accompanied by a small shockwave of dust and debris which was blasted into the air creating a mushroom cloud. Were it not for the fact I knew my absent boyfriend was making an appearance I might have suspected we were under attack.

As it was everyone jumped to their feet as they looked at the slowly clearing cloud of debris and the crater at its base as the column collapsed upon itself, where a dark form could be seen within. Well except a certain god of wine who fell out of his chair in panic though few noticed it as they were facing the other way.

Slowly the figure within became more visible as someone crouched on one knee with a series of golden wings spread out behind them to either side. I don't know where he had obtained it but he was now for some reason wearing a long black cloak and hood which served to hide his face for the most part well except the two glowing golden orbs of his eyes which shone through the shadow the hood cast.

It was only then did I notice the fact that the dust seemed to be moving in rewind as if back towards its source and it became clear that the destroyed section of the pavilion was slowly being repaired back to perfect condition.

Just as it was almost complete Percy rose to his feet and I watched his eyes fade back to normal or so I guessed as they were no longer visible in the shadows cast by the hood.

I looked around all those spectating and saw a mixture of shock and fear for the most part, amusingly it was not just limited to the demigods as Dionysius looked ready to crap himself at the figure who turned towards the head table and I guess Dionysius assumed he was looking at him when most likely he was looking at me.

Finally he grabbed the golden spear out of the ground at his feet before spinning it behind his back and I watched the three metre length of flaming Imperial Gold vanish back into its concealed form before he walked through the cluster of tables remaining oblivious of the slack jawed demigods who were looking at him in fear. At least he was forced to fold his wings behind him otherwise he could have taken a campers head of with the sharp edges which would have ruined the theatrics a little.

Finally he walked around our table before kicking the simple wooden chair next to me out of the way before waving a hand and a smaller version of his throne appeared in its place to which he took a seat and I was happy to find that a row of his wings spread out behind me careful to not touch me which was more than I could say for his other side as something caused Dionysius to pitch forward and go face first into his bowl of soup. Which caused a roar of laughter that broke everyone out of their state of shock as the god slowly pushed himself back his face still dripping the tomato based liquid before he magically removed it and looked at Percy with a look of outrage. I was sort of wishing he would do something because the fight that would follow would have been something hilarious to watch. Though calling it a fight would be at a stretch more of a one sided beat down to Percy's advantage.

Finally one of the Ares campers a heavily belt girl with light brown hair stood from her seat at the end of the table with her spear drawn.

'Who the hades are you and what are you doing here!' She shouted across the pavilion.

The answer however was a short laugh from Percy which only served to annoy the girl further as the spear crackled with electricity and I realized where I recognized the girl from after all Ares had been proclaiming about the 'mighty' Clarisse Drakon-Slayer for weeks after the Titan war.

'Stop laughing or I will run you through, show your face coward!' She demanded.

'Now Now Clarisse I have been many things but not a coward and if you don't put that spear down I will do the same thing to it as I did the first one back in that creek.' The cloaked figure said slowly and I watched as recognition hit a few figures around the pavilion.

'That's impossible, you died, no one has seen you in over a year.' Clarisse said nervously.

'Who said I died that foolish new Roman Praetor and you all believed him, you should know that there is no such thing as proof of my death unless you have a body. The last time you thought I died I destroyed . Helens and released Typhon by accident. I even escaped Tartarus.' He said teasingly and he was beginning to annoy me with drawing this out now so I yanked the hood over the back of his head to which he turned towards me and I simply smiled.

'Killjoy.' He whispered.

'You love me really.' I said loud enough so only he could hear me as he turned back towards the campers who were staring in shock.

'Well now you all know that Perry has re-urghh.' Dionysius began only for a boot to kick out and snap one of his chair legs causing him to sprawl on the floor to a sound of more laughter from everyone myself included.

'My name is Percy or Perseus not Perry or Percival or whatever stupid name you can think up you useless excuse for a god, so how about you show some respect for once to the guy that is constantly saving your obnoxious ass. How about we go back to the bit in your story and tell everyone that you got knocked out without even fighting back. So much for being an Olympian any one of the demigods here would have stood a better chance against Oceanus or Tethys than you, you miserable drunk. Oh wait that's right you cannot even do that now can you so why don't you just leave and go back to playing pac-man.' Percy said finishing his tirade at the white-faced god who gave him a furious look before flashing away.

'Sorry about that but lets be honest no one here likes him do they.' Percy said after doing a quick look towards the Dionysius table and finding it empty obviously he did not want to offend any of my brothers children for their father's failings.

'Now I am sure you probably recognize me but just in case for anyone that never met me. My name is Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon and I am a Titan. Any questions?' He said simply before the crowd went crazy with questions.

If it had taken forever for him to answer the hunter's questions that was nothing compared to the eternity it took to answer the campers who were stunned to hear that their former hero was now one of the enemy they had been fighting against even if there was now peace between the councils.

Some of them, most namely the few remaining Ares campers tried to take offense at it but it did not take long for a few subtle words and a time freeze here and there to make them see that he was not here to cause trouble. It was quite amusing to watch him try and explain to his former campmates what had happened to him over the last year.

After all it became quite clear that despite his newfound status he was still the same old idiot as he had always been.

Eventually though Chiron asked them to wrap up their questions and return to normal training. It was quite clear the old centaur had a few questions of his own. With a lot of grumbling and shooing by the minor gods who were eager to talk with Percy as well they left the pavilion followed by the hunters who left when I told them to return to what training they were doing before we returned.

(Percy)

As I looked at my former mentor I noticed the curious expression on his face as he regarded me.

'Hard to think that my father could actually care for someone other than himself, especially not you after what you tried to do too each other. Though I am also as surprised by the present company you are keeping.' He said with a polite bow to Artemis beside me.

'What the hunters? They are not so bad once you get past the man-hating and attempted murder parts. Though you're right about Kronos it was certainly one hell of a surprise to me too.' I told him jokingly.

'I am surprised you have last this long and there has only been one 'accident' between you and them.' He said sing air quotes with a smile.

'Unlike the campers I can get the hunters to do as I say.' Artemis defended.

'It is a shame about what they do when you are not around then.' Nico said subtlely into the glass he was about to drink from. Before getting elbowed in the stomach by his sister to his side and almost coughing up the ambrosia he was drinking.

'Nico if I am not holding a grudge about it, you shouldn't either. Remember I know your flaw as well.' I said looking at him sternly and I watched m younger cousin nod before return back to his drink. I did not like being forceful with others especially my friends but I also knew that sometimes you had to deal with things directly before they got out of hands.

'So what did make you go and join the hunt other than their remarkable personalities?' Frank asked only to receive a scathing look from a silver eyed goddess.

'I was bored sitting around on Orthrys with the other Titans, those guys don't ever get out and it can turn really boring really quick. Imagine sitting in the summer solstice meeting all day every day. That is what it is like to live with the Titans, you know it is bad when the highlight of your day is trying to beat the hell out of Atlas in a fist fight.' I said simply and I saw several jaws drop at my casual addressing of council meetings though by comparison, Artemis simply nodded in affirmation.

They were all minor gods and so probably assumed that interesting stuff was actually talked about in meeting when in reality it was the complete opposite no matter which council you were in. Only Nico really remained non-concerned but then again his father was equally not as bothered by the meetings after 3000 years of not being invited to them.

'It is hard to think that you actually spend time around that idiot, the only time I ever saw Atlas he was screaming at the legion about trying to rip us apart when he was stuck beneath the sky. If he had not been required to hold the weight of the sky I would have run him through there and then.' Jason said bitterly.

'He is not so bad once you get past the bluster and the complaining. Even Artemis is slightly friendly with him now. Ok neutral at best.' I corrected after a not so friendly kick to the side of the leg.

'I can see that you have had enough questions for the day Percy, so how about we end it there and you can talk to us again when you get a chance. I assume you will be staying here alongside the hunters or will you return to Orthrys?' Chiron said thankfully I felt I had spent all day before a press panel in the White House.

'To be honest I don't know, though it won't be Orthrys that is for certain. I suppose I could stay in my dad's place or I may go visit my mum and tell her what has happened.' I said though to be honest I planned on spending the night with Artemis/Diana.

'Very well it is your decision to make. Lady Artemis I know the hunters are low in numbers but will they be having the customary Capture the Flag game?' Chiron asked.

'Of course, one hunter is worth four campers at least.' Artemis said proudly. I had been excited by the prospect of a game of capture the flag until I remembered I could probably no longer play until an idea hit me, after all I was not the only one now limited by immortality.

'How about you mix it up a little. Gods of Heroes vs. me and Artemis as well. Six to two I think that makes up for any disparity.' I proposed eagerly and I saw the boys all light up with excitement at the prospect of playing as well.'

'How come you get to play for the hunters?' Leo complained.

'Because I am Titan of the Hunt, as well as their Guardian dumbass.' I said face palming as did Piper at her friend's stupidity. Give him a pile of supplies he is a genius, otherwise he was almost as stupid as me on one of my self-confessed special moments.

'That's still not fair between you and Lady Artemis you have like more domains than the six of us put together.' He whined childishly, I always forgot that they were all between 15 and 17 barely, whereas me and Annabeth had been over a year older, only Jason actually had the maturity of someone his age and of his status, the rest still had childish periods despite their newfound positions. Then again two of them should have been in their seventies and by all justifications dead were it not for unforeseen circumstances.

That was the problem with being a demigod, you grew up too fast or you died. Simple as that and I knew that better than most.

'I'll tell you what Leo I will not use control over time or Maelstrom and no one is allowed to flash or use shadow travel to get around.' I proposed.

'Well you can still fly so it is still unfair.'

'So can Jason and Frank can turn into a bird or even a dragon so that is not a problem really. Anyone would think you were playing chicken and didn't want to play.' I suggested playfully which caused Artemis to laugh before she summoned a chicken in front of the red faced ascended demigod which sat there giving him a stupid look.

'He is just afraid because he actually never played a game before we became gods; he was too busy building the Argo II to enjoy himself for an evening.' Piper explained mockingly.

'I miss that boat, I put everything I had in it and it was still destroyed.' Leo said sadly and truthfully it had been a magnificent ship shame it had not been crashing dragon or lightning proof, though it did give me an idea for later.

'So what do you think Lady Artemis, Hunters vs. Camp? Do you feel up for it?' I said excitedly.

'I suppose I could do with a decent fight since I beat you after all Perseus.' She said looking at me with a sly smile on her face.

'I was holding back and you caught me by surprise and cheated.' I said indignantly not that I was complaining about her method of cheating mind you as I locked eyes with her.

'Maybe you two should get a roo-urgh.' Leo began before Piper's hand was clamped across his mouth silencing him while Artemis looked at him with an Icy stare that left terror on the Latino gods face.

'Don't mind him Milady he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut, he did not mean offense I am sure of it.' Jason said calmly before looking at his friend to make sure he stayed quiet. Even if he had only meant it as a joke it was still far too close to the truth.

'Do you know the best thing about immortal boys? No matter how many time you turn them into jackelopes and hunt them down with wolves given time they always come back.' She said with a cold smile that even left shivers on my back whereas Leo looked like he had just shit himself.

'Perhaps we better call it a day before anyone else gets offended. With your leave Lady Artemis, Lord Perseus.' Chiron said formally.

'It is still just Percy Chiron I am still the same guy who turned up on that hill 5 years ago soaking wet and covered in mud, despite all the Titles and Domains I have had thrown my way.' I said with a smile as I thought of how far I had come in that time. From being terrified by the concept that the Greek gods existed to dating one and being a Titan, now that was progress.

'Thank you Chiron it has been a pleasure, come Perseus I want to find out whether the Hunters have managed to kill any nosy males yet or worse they have been dulled with the level of idiocracy around here.' She said looking past me to the son of Hephaestus who shied away from her gaze with a smile on her face, before she rose from her chair and walked back to her cabin.

'Err duty calls I guess, bye.' I said quickly rising from my chair and going to follow her. As I walked away I could have sworn I heard the sound of someone imitating a whip before it was quickly replaced by a cry of pain.

He seriously had a short attention span.

(Artemis)

I was looking forward to the game now just so I could hurt that annoying little mechanic god, he may have only meant it in jest but it had been far to close to the truth and besides I had an image to uphold.

I was happy when Percy caught up with me just before we reached the hunters cabin, to find them in the process of restraining a few of my twin's sons by the looks of them. Unsurprisingly they were being lead by Phoebe and Atlanta that despite her sibling status had hated her brothers ever since the last year, even if was one of my brothers Roman aspects legacies that had done it. Whereas Phoebe just did it for the laughs though I suspect it was slightly personal as well.

'So girls do you mind explaining why a trio of my nephews are tied together by their bows around their necks.' I asked curious of the method of imprisonment with one bow covering two heads each creating an overlap.

'They came over claiming we were so bad at archery that we had our weapons confiscated, so we felt that they shouldn't have theirs either.' Thalia said from her position sitting on the porch of my cabin next to Reyna. I had forgotten that apart from Thalia they had their weapons taken as I looked around them.

'Perseus please go get me one of the six to return their weapons.' I said turning back towards him giving him a smile that was not visible to the hunters before he nodded and turned and began to run back towards the Pavilion.

'I assume you three are unaware of how stupid you are, I assumed that when my dimwitted brother actually had children they may have got some brain cells from their mother but apparently that was not the case for you three. You are lucky my hunters don't have their bows or we would be able to use you as a living quiver. Do you know what happened to your nephew the Roman Augur? Why don't you ask around because if I find you near my cabin again, I will make sure what Perseus did to him will be nothing compared to what I will do to you.' I threatened the white faced trio as they frantically nodded their heads in agreement now apparently desperate to leave.

'We will be keeping your bows as a reminder, so don't come back for them, they belong to me now. If you do try stealing them back, the currently cute golden cub will be restored to her real size with permission to eat you. Now leave!' I commanded as I snapped my fingers and summoned the weapons to my other hand. As soon as their restraints were off they ran like they were being chased, so I thought why not summon a few wolves and have them do it for me as a trio of howls could be heard from the woods behind the cabin before the silver lupine creatures ran between mine and Hades cabins after them which made them scream in panic much to the hunters amusement.

'Milady what did Percy actually do to him.' Phoebe said once she had stopped laughing killing the mood by bringing up that subject.

'You are now aware that Perseus wields Kronos's former
scythe in its sword form, With Reyna's help he crucified the Augur to the wall of the fort that the Romans built on top of the camp. After that he used the blades ability to damage the soul to torture him, one cut for everyone one of your fallen sisters he murdered that day. By the time he was on 14 it was pointless, his soul had already been destroyed and I stopped him. Perseus had just lost his girlfriend the daughter of Athena in the battle against the Giants, he was practically suicidal, that was why he single handedly attacked the whole legion and yet managed to win despite the odds. It was clear to me that he was hurting himself as much as the Augur so I stopped him before he managed to destroy his own soul as well, please do not bring up that subject again especially not around him, you were there after all Phoebe.' I said sadly and she nodded as did Atlanta after all alongside Thalia hey were the only ones who survived that day and were still alive now.

However Thalia was looking at Reyna curiously.

'You never said you helped kill that scum, I thought Lord Seaweed Brain did it on his own.' She said looking at her new best friend in amazement; I could tell she was going to call him Lord just to annoy him now.

'He was trying to flee like a coward, I did not approve of his actions and agreed they were not just, so I confronted him as Percy did and somewhere along the line got roped into assisted torture.' Reyna admitted.

'It is only torture when it is against a human and that piece of filth was more of a monster than most well monsters, at least they are honest about what they do, and as Perseus proved torturing monsters like the minotaur is A-Ok.' Morgana said she may not have been a hunter at the time but she had been at the camp in the Hecate cabin and had been the first to join after then.

'I don't think Perseus treats all monsters like that though, I think he just may have some serious issues when it come to that monster.' I admitted remembering his brutal treatment of it. I shudder to think what would happen to it if it ever re-appeared near him again now that he was fully revealed, that was if it even survived the next time.

'Anyway girls that is enough about the past.' I insisted just as I felt two immortals approaching me from behind and I turned to find Percy there with Nico who simply waved a hand summoning a shadow which deposited a large pile of bronze and silver weaponry and Reyna's golden ones. Before the King of Ghosts melted into Percy's shadow slowly.

The hunters all ran forward to try and find their own weapons except for Thalia and Reyna who either had theirs already or it was obvious what was theirs. After a few minutes arguing they all seemed to have the correct arsenal.

'OK then girls why don't you go to the range and show those foolish children of my brother how archery is really done, I am going to try and teach Perseus how to but I feel it would be safer to do it away from victims he can accidentally murder. Apparently becoming a Titan is not an automatic proof of you can shoot.' I said mockingly causing him to pout as they laughed at him.

'Milady when he shoots please make sure to shout Duck and Cover so people watch out, just in case. He does not have to see someone to hit them after all or even be facing their way.' Thalia added to a chorus of laughing.

'Why don't you save that laughter for the capture the flag Sparky, me and Lady Artemis are playing with you against your brother and the others as well as the campers.' He said with a smile.

Most of the Hunters were standing open mouthed at the prospect of me playing with them, however Reyna had a look of barely concealed anticipation and I was unsure of who she was looking forward to fighting more. My brother Jason or his girlfriend Piper.

'Milady is that true?' Tania asked breaking her silence, clearly the prospect of a fight was enough to rouse her from her self-imposed silence.

'Yes Perseus managed to convince me and Chiron that it would be fair despite the numbers difference both of campers and gods on their team, it will probably be in a few days.' I explained.

'Now of you go girls I want to make sure Perseus can actually hit a target before then. And by target I mean the enemy ones not the enemies targets meaning you.' I added jokingly.

'I am not that bad I hit the target before.' He said defensively.

'No you hit the target once barely, ever. You have also hit me, a dryad and nearly hit Nemea and missed a mountain trying to hit a target that was directly below you on said mountain therefore making you the worst Archer that has ever lived, Orion may have been a complete asshole but at least he was proof that the sons of Poseidon can actually use a bow and it is not an inherent family flaw.'

'Great something else that Orion has fucked up for me, I think I need to fuck with him for once.' Percy mumbled and I realized that as he controlled Constellations, he actually had the power to do it.

'Stop complaining about it, now come on girls I want to see a lot of reduced egos on my brother's children tonight.' I said before grabbing the grumbling Titan and flashing us away.

AN. As you may have noticed Dionysius is another character I am not a fan of, he is seriously a pointless god, don't get me wrong I like alcohol although amusingly not wine but I don't see a need to worship the damn stuff and make him one of the Olympians in place of Hestia. Yes for Nepotism by Zeus in favor of his children.
