Chapter 67

Revelations

(Artemis)

At last Percy finally began to come to as I noticed his breaths change pattern before his eyelids began to flutter. However as eager as I was to see if he was alright I also had to watch for Apollo's reaction to what was about to occur. Despite his outwardly goofy exterior he was a firm believer in the whole the needs of the many policy. Which was I did not doubt what he would try and do if there was something wrong with Percy despite the eventual reactions from everyone else.

However my fears were unfounded when Percy suddenly flicked his eyes open and I watched the sea-green and gold orbs dart from Apollo to myself and finally to the bronze trident impaled either side of his neck.

'I guess I have some explaining to do then?' He said with a sigh before turning back towards me with a wry smile on his face.

I was about to reply when I was rudely interrupted by an idiot darting around the fallen Titan and interposing himself between me and Percy. He had allowed his bow to go slack but it was still at the ready. If he so much as tried to restring that arrow I would grab it and shove it where the Apollo doesn't shine.

'How do we know it is really you?' Apollo asked aggressively.

'Because I am not trying to kill everything within a quarter mile, trying to break free from my current situation. Also though I can't check without a mirror I am pretty sure my eyes are back to normal.' Percy answered sarcastically and I almost wanted to face palm in disbelief.

'This is not the time for jokes.' Apollo stated.

'I know that is why we did not invite Dionysius.' Percy countered making me want to chuckle, though at this rate he really was going to get himself killed. Using a limb from 'my' bow I pushed Apollo out of the way it was pretty clear it was the real Percy. The possessed one had been more death threats than the usual joking and sarcasm.

'Apollo that is enough, why don't you let the adults speak.'

'Sis, why are you not taking this seriously? He could still be a threat to us all.'

'In my defense your honor. How much of a threat can I be if I am still pinned to the floor?' Percy chimed in from the ground giving the trident a half hearted yank with one hand though it remained steadfast.

'Percy shut up unless you want to die.' I told him firmly before turning back to my twin.

'Nevertheless he raises a good point what exactly can he do from his current position. Besides he does not fall under your jurisdiction to do anything about. He is my guardian, a part of my hunt and therefore my responsibility. So if you lift one finger against him I will return it with interest.'

'Arty why won't you see reason.'

'Enough with the Arty crap. I am seeing reason. I am more than capable of looking after myself despite what you seem to think. You lack perspective in this case. You arrived after everything was dealt with and now think you can take control. You don't know what it is like to have something fuck with your head and be powerless to stop it. Hell I almost killed my own Lieutenant because of that thing and yet he stopped me. So I think I am right in giving him the benefit of the doubt.' I shouted at him causing him to recoil away from me.

'Benefit of the doubt? Since when have you ever given a male the benefit of the doubt? You see things in black and white Arty and all men are firmly in the dark. So what makes him so special, I don't want this turning into another Orio-.' He never got to finish the sentence as I lost control and slapped him full force causing him to stagger backwards before tripping over Percy's legs.

'Don't you ever dare to try and ridicule my beliefs. It is because of men like you and that piece of shit that I do see the world like I do. 3000 years and you continue to treat women like pieces of meat for your personal entertainment before you discard them in favor of a fresher one. And yet you wonder why I do not like spending time with you. I am ashamed to be associated with you.' I screamed at him before letting out a deep breath and looking at the shocked look on his face with a sense of satisfaction as a millennia of pent up aggression was released.

'You are Pregnant.' He muttered bewildered from his position on the ground and I slowly looked at my bare hand.

Oops.

(Percy)

I had rather been enjoying the show as my pregnant girlfriend issued a mood swing enhanced verbal beat down of her twin and the best bit was it was over me. True they were arguing over whether to kill me or not but that was a minor detail. I was more concerned with the piece of gravel that was digging into my hip.

I was just happy that this mood swing was not directed at me for once.

Then Apollo did something very foolish he played the Orion card and everything went downhill very quickly. I was not sure if he was expecting to get a physical response out of the goddess but it was pretty certain he was not expecting it of that magnitude. I actually saw it coming and slowed down my perception of the event enough so that it was like watching it in slow motion as her hand struck his cheek and sent a shockwave ripple across his flesh before he fell backwards tripped on my right leg and landed firmly on his ass. Only to receive a further berating from his sibling. Unfortunately the moment he fell I lost sight of him and the trident meant I could not lift my head, so I was unable to see the look of shock on his face.

Though that did not stop me hearing his words. It did not require any fancy words to explain our current predicament.

We were screwed.

Next to Lord Zeus himself the worst possible person had found out in the worst (well second worst, short of catching us in the act.) way. If he didn't want to kill me before now he certainly did now or at least once he learned I was the father. And I was powerless to defend myself.

I slowly turned my head back to where Artemis was standing and judging by the pasty white color she had turned. She was in as much shock as I was.

'Wha- What did you say?' Artemis stammered out.

'Who?' Apollo growled from somewhere round my feet.

'Who do you bloody think idiot.' Artemis said dropping the act and turning serious though the look in her eyes gave away her worry.

'Perseus' Apollo slowly said his voice little more than a growl.

'Would this be a bad time to say it is not my fault?' I proposed half heartedly.

'I am going to kill you.' Apollo exclaimed attempting to rise to his feet. Fortunately his position worked to my advantage as I guessed how he was located in relation to me and was able to pin his neck between my ankles. I was forced to brace heavily as the god flailed in my restraint. I was loath to think of the bruises I was going to have after this. Then again that was if I survived.

I suddenly heard a twang of a bowstring before the god suddenly stopped moving.

(Artemis)

'The pair of you shut up and listen. Apollo last chance or the next one will significantly influence the number of demigods in the near future. Now Percy let him go.' I threatened as my brother and boyfriend slowly disentangled themselves.

'Artemis explain why I should not kill him now.' Apollo said rising to his feet before dusting himself off yet never once taking his eyes off the subdued Titan. Yet every move he made was followed down the point of the bow I held in my hand.

'Because if you do I will make sure you join him. In case you haven't noticed I am not exactly in a rational mood at the moment. I have been possessed, shot and almost killed by my boyfriend and now my idiot brother wants to kill him and that is not even counting the number of hormones running through my system. Do you really want to mess with me today?' I threatened causing the sun god to pale.

'Good because shut up and listen and give us a chance to explain, rather than jumping to conclusions like always. First off this whole situation is not either of ours fault, if you want the real culprit she likes to dress in pink and I would be more than happy to let you turn her into a living pincushion.'

'You are saying this is Aphrodite's fault?' He asked in an emotionless tone turning towards me.

'No the tooth fairy.' Percy chimed in sarcastically. I let Apollo kick him in the shin, it was as if he truly did have a death wish.

'You shut up or I will shoot you but yes, who else would love to screw up someone else's relationship.'

'Start from the beginning and I will decide what to do from there.' Apollo proposed with a sigh holding a hand against his brow, before waving the other hand and creating a sphere of silence around us. It was one of the few useful powers he got from his domain over music because an ability to play or sing was not one of them.

(Marina)

Ok I take it back maybe my family was a little cool after all.

Turns out most of my uncles and aunts are some of histories most famous and in some cases infamousness badass's. I had everything from kings and queens to an absurd number of Admirals in just about every fleet and conflict since Greece itself. Some of the names I had heard of and the others my father explained a little about.

Though there were a few things that were a little weird to consider as well. I had two uncles that were horses for starters and they were not even the worst cases. Though I did think it was strange that my father hoped I never one of them until I was older something about saddle soap.

After my father had finally reached the last century and named a few famous politicians. I mean come on Winston Churchill was my uncle. Sure he was English but even I knew about him from studying History and World War 2. But it seemed that after that my grandfather and his brothers had to agree not to have kids because they were too powerful or something.

However there was one person my father had not mentioned in his explanation.

'Father who is Perseus then you never mentioned him?'

'That's because I started with the oldest ones first, Percy is actually my youngest brother. He is actually only a few years older than you.'

'Seriously?' I asked skeptically, I mean sure he seemed pretty young but then again my father appeared in his late twenties and he was apparently several thousand years old. Then again I had seen Artemis change form as well after she was injured.

'Yes he only had turned eighteen a few months ago in fact.'

'Then how come he is a god when all of those other ones are not?'

'First he is a Titan not a god though he was born a demigod. The reason is that simply no other demigod had to endure a life as difficult as he had for a few years. From the age of 12 to last year he lived nothing but constant conflict. He nigh single-handedly defeated the two greatest threats we gods have ever faced. Yet the funny thing is despite this I still hated to be his brother.' He explained before ending with a chuckle. The thing was this was not the first time I had seen some level of resentment from my father, come to think of it the entire time he had been talking about his siblings he had looked to be wearing a forced smile.

'Why?' I asked simply.

'Because of what he stood for. A broken oath by my father as he cheated on my mother again and again. Sure he is not as bad as Zeus by any stretch of the imagination but it is still a point of conflict in the palace. However even your grandmother and myself have to admit he is different from all the others that came before simply because he cares more for others than his own well being. Were it anyone else that had attacked you before I arrived they would be spending time in the underworld or worse. Yet with him I knew it was not by his own actions what occurred. Sure to his enemies he is a nigh unbeatable person of mass destruction, but as an ally even I must admit there is none greater.'

'You almost sound like you admire him father?'

'Perhaps I do, he has done a lot and paid the price for it. Besides you have to admire someone who can impress Lady Artemis. Speaking of which I suppose I better help him a little before he manages to get himself killed. Dad will not be happy if I don't.' He said dejectedly before holding his hand out and to my surprise a trident seemed to form as if out of water before becoming solid.

'Why what can he do ground you?' I said jokingly.

'Worse he can tell my mother.' He answered entirely deadpan and I wasn't sure if he was telling the truth or not. Something about his eyes was telling me I was not far wrong though.

'Anyway I think we may have some time to kill, while they iron out some problems. Wanna go to the beach?' He asked spontaneously.

I glanced from the group of immortals to my destroyed home and back to my father. What else did I have to do? Besides it was not as if I could drown. Rather than reply I did something risky I grabbed his hand earning a surprised look from the god before he gently squeezed it back and I suddenly found myself surrounded by light.

(Percy)

As soon as I felt the restriction around my throat removed I resisted the urge to jump to my feet. Instead for a few seconds I merely continued to lie there before slowly raising my hands to my neck and rubbing it gently feeling the indents where the prongs had pinned me.

The two twins meanwhile had paused there question and answer session to suddenly notice the lack of restraint on me.

'My back is killing me.' I said with a grin.

'Shut up and stand up already.' They both chorused at the same time before turning towards each with rapidly different expressions. Artemis of disgust while Apollo was almost grinning before he remembered the current situation and settled back into a frown. I didn't care I simply did as they said before standing to Artemis side and trying to look innocent.

'Anyway so you two began dating or so I am meant to believe but I fail to see how any of this is Aphrodite's fault and especially how you broke your oath, he defiled my sister and you are pregnant sis.' Ever since we had began explaining Apollo had only referred to me as he.

'That's the funny bit you are partially to blame after all.' Artemis said with narrowed eyes and it seemed to catch the god of balance.

'How am I in anyway responsible for this catastrophe, you both sound more than capable of getting yourselves into trouble already.' He argued back.

'You ruined my evening's plans and created a chain of events that lead to this.'

'Simply put you kidnapped me on my birthday, I annoyed Barbie while you left the room.' I said simply.

'So I had to go hunting you all down, so you didn't go corrupting my boyfriend and he didn't end up like you.' Artemis added and it seemed Apollo finally began to gain some understanding.

'Wait so the girl at the club…'

'Bingo.' Artemis added.

'Which means you indirectly gave me permission to date your sister.' I concluded watching with some level of amusement as his eyes opened wide in shock.

'Unfortunately Aphrodite figured I was there, drugged our drinks with Eros's help and we arrived at our current predicament.'

'Ewww I fancied you back there.' Apollo said finally.

'I change my hair color and you cannot recognize me at all?'

'I am used to you looking like a damned kid not well like this.' He said holding his hands up as if presenting her to a crowd.

'In your defense you were drunk out of your face if it helps.' I added sympathetically.

'No it doesn't… I fancied my sister.' He said with a shudder.

'Apple doesn't fall far from the tree then.' Artemis added and Apollo seemed to freeze in horror.

'Back to the point. Neither of us remembers what happened, but know it was not my intention for this to happen.'

'So who knows about this? Any of it?'

'My mother and your mother and Lelantos know everything. My Dad knows we are together.'

'So do most of his court according to Triton.' Artemis added.

'Wonderful, possibly Hades and Persephone and besides that Atlas knows we had sex. Though he is keeping quiet.'

'So I take it dad doesn't then?'

'Stupid question.' Artemis answered giving him a look as if are you serious.

'Figures Percy is still standing here after all

'So how did mum take it?'

'How do you think… she did everything but bounce with excitement. Then locked me in a cupboard for several hours while she spoke to Percy, something he still won't tell me about.' Artemis answered before looking at me accusingly.

'I am not telling you yet.' I told her firmly breaking eye contact.

'Figures she would be like that. Surprised she didn't have one of those mortal break glass things you know in case of baby arty. Wait a minute why hasn't Aphrodite been preaching this from the rooftops?'

'Because she doesn't remember. I made her forget the whole day. And I am pretty sure Eros knows better than to remind her.'

'Wait did you by any chance touch her when you did it?'

'Before or after I nearly cut her head off.'

'So you didn't happen to cut her neck with a particular blade that is currently behind you.'

'A little perhaps. Why?'

'Because it still hasn't healed and she comes by my place every other day and expects me to fix it. Apparently interferes with her charm. She doesn't know how she got it either.' He explained and I couldn't help but smile at her comeuppance.

'I am not fixing it, at least not yet.'

'I don't care she deserves it, no one messes with my baby sister.' Apollo answered before Artemis made an almost growling noise.

'Correction my amazing older sister who just happens to be extremely hormonal at the moment.'

'So are we cool?' I asked him.

'No I am cool you are now the jock who thinks he can date my sister. Besides it is not my call, you have to tell dad.'

'Don't remind us, I can already feel the electricity.'

'If you want I will take pictures.'

'Thanks for the support.'

'You haven't mentioned the girl scouts during any of this. So if you were to break your oath does that mean they are free game?' Apollo asked with a grin which quickly faded when he saw the expression on Artemis's face.

'I go back to my statement about the next arrow affecting the number of demigods.'

'Jeez I was only joking sis.' Apollo replied with a nervous look before subconsciously moving his hands in front of his groin

'I wasn't.'

'I figured. Gods as if you couldn't be scary enough as a kid, now you are like that taken up to eleven.'

'Welcome to my world. Dealing with over a dozen angry girls and your sister. Things are peachy.' I commented earning a look from Artemis which I simply grinned in reply to before she looked away.

'You have my sympathies, that or you are one hell of a masochist.'

'He loves the attention; I think he uses all these injuries as an excuse to spend less time with me though.'

'I think I have heard enough of your problems to last a lifetime. Though I have to ask one thing do you know if it is a boy or girl?'

'Boy/Girl.' We both said at the same time while I went for the former. The truth was we had absolutely no idea. Artemis was only able to diagnose so much on herself.

'It better be a girl. There is only so much male I can tolerate in the hunt.' Artemis proclaimed.

'Two seconds then sis.'

'Wait what?'Artemis asked shocked before Apollo placed his hand against her stomach before stepping back with a smug smile.

'Unlucky Bro.' He said as if giving bad news before cracking back into a grin.

'Told you so. Besides someone needed to inherit Virginity as a domain.'

'Gods I am in danger of turning into your dad.' I said with a sigh.

'Percy let's be honest any boy will have to get past me first.'

'Good point. Besides don't we have some wolves we can feed them too? Especially ones that have a resemblance to present company.'

'Hey my kids are not that stupid. How often do my kids chat up your hunters? They don't.'

'If only their father was anywhere near as smart.'

'I am just trying to broaden their horizons.'

'Phoebe will broaden your face if you try it on with her again.' Artemis remarked and I received a brief image spot of the hunter punching him in the face repeatedly.

'Fine, fine I get the hint. There is one more thing before I go. Earlier you said you got shot, which I guess has something to do with the chaos all around us. I am guessing Mr. Crispy over there did it.' Apollo said hooking a finger towards the now smoldering car wreck. Come to think of it, it was strange the police hadn't shown up yet then I began to notice the air was thick with the mist. Which meant someone was covering up what had happened. After discounting myself and Artemis for obvious reasons and Apollo for arriving late I realized that Triton must have been responsible however that also made me realize that he had vanished.

'Yeah what about it, you and I both know that mortal weapons cannot permanently injure us. I was just a little stunned.' Artemis said defensively.

'I didn't, besides when you were shot you were Diana then I saw you next as Artemis. Before that you were still unconscious from when I broke your bow.'

'Sis change aspect a second. Just so I can make sure there is nothing permanent. Humor me please.'

'I am fine.' She said still on the defensive.

'If it helps Artemis the faster you do this the faster he leaves.' I proposed.

'Fine get it over with then.'

(Diana)

Mortal bullet may not be able to kill or even hurt us really but gods dam did they sting. I had been forced to watch the proceedings through my counterpart though I had spent most of my time distracted by all the imaginary bruises covering my upper body.

'They want to speak to you.' I heard Artemis's voice echo from around me though I did not pay much attention to her.

'Hello I said they want to make sure you are ok. So hurry up and take control already and get this over with.' She said louder before relinquishing command over our body essentially forcing me to take over.

As I shifted our body over from one appearance to another I made sure my clothing had repaired itself. The rest was easy because of the fact Artemis's current form was very similar to my own albeit with a different hairstyle, a minute difference in height and more of a frown or so I liked to think.

'Gods you look like shit sis.' Great why couldn't Apollo shift into his Roman aspect at least he has more tact.

'Smooth. Though he has a point Diana you look like you haven't slept in a week.'

'That's normally because I spend all night dealing with your idiocy.'

'Hey I am happy to go to sleep, you're the one who attacks my face with your own.'

Cough. 'As much as I don't want to hear about my sisters dates and what you two get up to, I think it is fair to say Artemis was not quite honest about how you were doing.'

'I just need some Nectar and Ambrosia and some time to sleep. Doesn't help that someone broke my bow.' I countered causing Percy to shuffle his foot nervously.

'Excuses besides don't lie to the doctor.'

'I don't see one here. A pair of idiots perhaps.'

'Funny Di now hold out your hand.' Apollo instructed and I did so eager to get rid of him as he grabbed it with both of his and we were briefly illuminated with golden light.

As the light faded I noticed he had a surprised look on his face before he suddenly returned to his usual smugness.

'Good news or bad news?' He asked.

'Bad.'

'You were shot seventeen times and have significant bruising, two broken ribs and a boyfriend.'

'Very funny and the good news.' Percy remarked.

'That was the good news.' He said with an expression that said he was actually being serious.

'What exactly could be so bad then?' I asked annoyed with him being coy.

'Your Pregnant.'

'Well no shit Sherlock, we just spent 20 minutes discussing it.' Percy said jokingly.

'No you don't understand. You Diana are pregnant.'

'Huh. You must have made a mistake and registered her child through me.'

'It would be possible were it not for the fact that hers was a girl and yours is definitely a boy. Congratulations.'

I did the one thing that could be expected.

I passed out.

'Well you really screwed the pooch on this one didn't you.' Artemis said chastising. We were both now essentially present inside our own head as little more than sub-conscious avatars. Sure I was technically still in control of our body but while I was unconscious I could appear here.

'May I point out you are also pregnant.'

'True but I get the satisfaction of knowing that it was you who broke our oath.'

'How exactly did you figure that out?'

'Simple. You were in control at the club and I was in control when we awoke. So unless I took control, broke the oath, swapped with you then swapped again before waking up. It must have been you.'

'You have a really messed up sense of priorities don't you. I find out we are both pregnant and that is all you can think of.'

'Well I could throw the fact that at least I am having a girl out there but I didn't think it was appropriate. Well I mean sure he at least he has a decent father as long as he doesn't inherit his brains.'

'As much as I would like to dispute that you are right two of them would be a major annoyance.'

'Well it could be worse at least.'

'How exactly?'

'You could have found out when you started to give birth.'

'Good point it would have been one hell of a shock.'

'If you had listened to me more we would not be in this mess. Now hurry up and go back before Percy gets himself into more trouble.'

(Percy)

Well Diana did what I wanted to do. Instead as I currently supported her head in my lap I struggled to process the information.

I mean sure I knew I was going to be a dad which was harder enough for me to get my head around but to two kids? That was twice the chance for me to mess it up.

'She should be fine, I have healed all her injuries she is just in a state of shock which is not too surprising all things considered.'

'Thanks Apollo.'

'You're welcome. I suppose I am going to have to put up with you more now then. Though one more thing man to man.' He said and I began to realize where he was going with this.

'Yeah bro.'

'You break her heart and I will kill you.'

'I expect nothing less.'

'Good. See you soon cousin.' He said with a smile before disappearing in a flash swiftly followed by the bubble around us popping.

'Is he gone?' I heard from my lap turning my head downwards to look at Diana's silver orbs.

'Well how about that, how is she taking it?'

'With an insufferable smile and saying she called it in regards to me breaking our oath.'

'Well I guess it does make sense in context.'

'Doesn't change the point though. We are having a baby.' She said with a smile moving her hands to her stomach.

'It does in one way, now we have to tell them all again.' I said with a grin before kissing her on the forehead and placing my right hand on hers.

Despite the carnage and death around us. At that moment in time I just really didn't care.

AN. Sorry for the delay I have been on holiday with no internet access. which I now realise is horrible.

There you go the reveal of the kids gender is finally done you can stop asking me if they are having twins, technically they are not as they have two separate mothers. originally I was going to literally not reveal it until Artemis gave birth but I decided to change it.

next chapter is in progress already so should be done by the time I get back on the weekend.

one last thing why do we people with guest accounts ask questions in reviews, I cant answer them, make an account it takes like 2 minutes and I can tell you whatever you want to know.

As always please read and review
