A/N: Sweet little filler chapter.

I wanted to let everyone know as well that I haven't abandoned any of my previous fics. I've had a really tough few months and this story is just easiest for me to write at the moment because it's light and fluffy. I definitely want to still update my old works, and please don't think they're abandoned… they're just a little heavy for me right now.

Despite the opportunities that were rolling in and the exciting things JJ had gotten to do since returning from the Kellogg's tour, life had become… mundane.

She was enjoying spending time with Will, developing their new relationship, as well as spending time with her friends and family, but at the same time, she was starting to feel lost.

For as long as she could remember, her life had been gymnastics. Waking up for practices before the sun had risen, doing modified hours at school, working her ass off in a gym in pursuit of a dream. A dream that had now been reached and was in the past. She hadn't considered what was in the future after the Olympics. As far as her past self was concerned, her entire life only lasted up to the Olympics. What came after was the great unknown. All of her friends were at college, moving into the next chapter of their lives… and she was stuck, here in Pittsburgh.

She had tried her best to put it out of her mind. To take things one day at a time and just enjoy the now. So when Lani had invited the group over for a movie day hangout while everyone was home for Thanksgiving, she had eagerly accepted.

"Hey! Oh my god, I feel like the last time I saw you was before you went to London and kicked a whole heap of international butt!" Tessa said dramatically as JJ came into the room, pulling her coat off as she did. JJ laughed, opening her arms as Tessa flung herself at her for a tight hug.

"I've missed you," Tessa said happily, making JJ giggle as they both flopped into nearby beanbags. "These guys are assholes, I need you to control them"

JJ laughed as Clayton and Brenner scoffed.

"Seriously, Miss Four Foot Flips and Shit, control us?" Clayton exclaimed, rousing laughter from all of them.

"No-one can control you," JJ shot back, getting a nod of approval from Lani as they all laughed. In the midst of it all, JJ caught Will's eye across the room. A small smile crept on her face, which he returned. Neither of them had quite figured out when was the best time to tell their friends they had started dating. They were quietly dreading the inevitable, yet good natured teasing that would come their way.

"Hey JJ, did Will tell you what happened with Isabelle while you were in London?" Brenner said with a smirk.

"Yes," JJ giggled as Will dropped his head to his hand with a loud sigh.

"Do we have to revisit this? There's still a scar!" he exclaimed, which only made them all laugh again.

"It's ok Will, you can get yourself a new girl. One who isn't as forward with her teeth," Lani teased, getting sniggers from the guys. To further prove her point, she snapped her teeth together, sending the guys howling as Will rolled his eyes with a hopeless grin.

"Yeah, well, I'm kinda seeing someone, and so far, she doesn't seem like she's going to cause me any injuries," Will said flippantly, catching JJ's eye again as his mouth edged into a grin.

"Who?" Tessa said excitedly. "Oh don't tell me it's that little hoe bag Melissa, she's so gross, she practically drools on you whenever she sees you"

"No, no," Will laughed. "It's not Melissa and I'm not telling you"

"Uh uh, no way, you don't get to drop a bomb like that and walk away!" Mackenzie exclaimed from the corner where she'd been quietly listening.

"You know, and I'm probably gonna be saying this until the day I die, but you two should date," Clayton said seriously, gesturing between JJ and Will. "I mean, you're practically joined at the hip anyway"

JJ's cheeks turned a brilliant pink, making Tessa laugh and nudge her.

"Look at her, she's blushing!"

"Unless you've already snagged yourself a male gymnast, some of them were duh-reamy!" Lani exclaimed to much laughter. "Didn't have to grab any of the free condoms did you Jayje?"

JJ managed a laugh, pulling herself out of her beanbag. "You guys are assholes. I'm going to get a drink"

"Why are you blushing, what are you hiding?" Lani insisted as JJ started to cross the room, playfully throwing a balled up napkin at her friend.

"You're gonna miss your chance you guys, probably when JJ shacks up with someone like Jake Dalton-"

Brenner was cut off when Will suddenly got up from his chair. In one swift move, he wrapped an arm around JJ's waist, pulled her flush against him, and pressed his lips to hers in a passionate, genuine kiss.

The noise was thunderous. You wouldn't have known there were only five people making all the noise, what with all the excited squealing and cheering they were making. Lani's jaw had dropped, her glass of Coke tipping precariously in her hand.

When Will pulled away from JJ, she was laughing, her cheeks bright red.

"Oh my god,I KNEW IT!" Lani shrieked, slamming her glass down on the side table and leaping to her feet.

"Since I got home from London," JJ laughed as Lani pulled her into a hug. "You guys are such dicks"

"That's why you love us," Tessa called out, lightening the mood as they all laughed.

"Oh my god… I'm actually so thrilled for you guys! It finally happened!" Lani exclaimed excitedly as she pulled away from them. "So happy!"

JJ grinned, leaning into Will as he put a comforting arm around her waist.

"Ok… I'm going to get a drink," she laughed, slipping her hand into Will's and pulling him into the next room.

"Use protection!" Lani called out, garnering another round of laughter from the others.

"Lani!"

"Sorry!" Lani laughed after them, shaking her head as she sank down beside Clayton again.

In the kitchen, JJ let go of Will's hand, walking quietly over to the fridge and pulling out a bottle of Sprite.

"Jayje… sorry for just springing that on you-"

"You didn't," JJ said reassuringly as she poured herself a glass. When she was done, she returned the Sprite to the fridge before turning to face Will. "It's ok"

Will smiled, moving a little closer and covering one of JJ's hands with his own. "At least now they know. They'll get bored of teasing us after about two weeks"

JJ smirked. "Try two months and you might be a little closer"

Will laughed, putting his arm back around her as they walked back into the other room. This time, instead of going back to her beanbag across the room, JJ joined Will in his, lacing their hands together as the movie started before them. With a smile, she tucked her head beneath his chin. He lifted his arm, wrapping it around her back, sending that familiar little flutter racing through her.

She couldn't believe that life was this sweet.
