I don't own Naruto or any of its characters, I'm just a fan I enjoyed the anime but I love the fanfics even more, they made me fall for the whole franchise.
Chapter 40
Ino rolled her eyes at the mind games the Chunins were trying to play, especially 'Uncle Ibiki' one of her father's colleagues and a family friend of the Yamanaka. She watched as many tried to cheat and fail she had simply taken over some leaf genins body and used his eyes to remember the answers he had written before moving back to her body and rewriting them.
'How am I supposed to know how chakra is turned to water inside the body when a water colliding wave jutsu is executed?' Ino wondered with a frown she looked over at Naruto who was napping with his arms as cushions. Ino got a warning at that and she grounded her teeth and performed her family jutsu. Taking over the body of the genin next to Naruto from the new sound village a girl with long dark hair.
She proceeded to pinch the sleeping blonde's thigh and he jumped from his slumber looking at the assailant, before looking angry at her, she glared back at him and he looked at her in confusion. Before realization dawned on his face and he laughed nervously but she didn't smile back so he sighed and mouthed later.
She glared longer before nodding and canceling the jutsu, Naruto groaned when he got a warning and the girl next to him got one too, she was confused at what had transpired. Ino nodded her head stiffly and faced forward as more and more contenders got eliminated.
"Pens down, it is time for the final question!" Ino heard the specialist of Torture and Intelligence in the whole leaf village begin. When he explained that if the 10th question was answered wrong you would remain a forever genin, Ino wanted to snort, because that was a clear bluff.
"If you walk out now, you can take the test again next time." Ibiki announced like he was giving you an easy escape, making you think failing was your choice and not his attempt at fooling, you. Many stood up and left with the 15-minute timer going down at the speed of a snail a genjutsu for whoever checked the time on the watch above the fourth wall.
From some people's expressions, those 15 minutes felt like an eternity, and the silence in the room only left you time to think 'clearly' about your decision and your chances, good and bad. It was mind games 101 but Ino saw right through them, first the hard questions to make you see the impossibility of your chances of answering the final question and then an ultimatum to push you closer to breaking and giving in to the safest option available.
'He is very good.' Ino admitted because the elaborate plan was still working minutes later, genin's mental fortitudes broke standing up to leave the room. A redhead genin prepared to stand as well but Naruto stood immediately and got everybody's attention on him.
"What is this about quitting and yada yada just ask your question already or let us pass these things already. Who needs to know all these answers anyway? And who are you to decide who can participate anyway your no Hokage!" Ino didn't smile even at the exaggerated speech Naruto was giving, broadening his voice with his hands on his waist, one leg on the desk, and another on his seat.
"We don't care about what you think scar face, we are nothing like Kabuto-San. No offense Kabuto my man. We are the hope, pride, and future of our villages we will pass! Everybody say Yeah!!" Naruto raised his right arm with a three-finger closed fist with his index and pinky finger up.
"Yeah!!!" Some contenders finding hope and a new flame screamed out their agreements with the blonde forgetting he was just an hour ago threatening every one of them with his eyes alone. Ino shook her head with a smile trying to break into her face, but she murdered it badly.
Ino was angry at a certain golden blonde, what she was angry at she didn't know. Was it because she felt insecure about leaving Naruto alone with Hinata anymore? Was it the fact she could tell something between Naruto and Hinata had changed since Wave or was she angry because she always saw their connection but only now started to see? Ino didn't know but she planned on finding out.
"You all pass." Ino blinked and was brought back to the exams at hand by Ibiki's voice, the torturer went on to explain the purpose of the tenth question which Ino was sure many contestants were calling bullshit on. She didn't care what it was she only had one blonde she wanted to strangle if what she thought was happening was happening.
"Yahoo!!!" Naruto screamed looking happy to have escaped that test unscathed, the girl sitting next to him peaked at his sheet and gawked she only saw a name and clan name, other than that the blonde's sheet was as brand new as it came.
'Who is this kid?' The sound nin thought in astonishment while they bothered cheating he passed by essentially just not cheating.

"They are giving us a 15-minute break to prepare for a 5-day survival test?" Kiba wondered how that worked. There was this crazy lady who had crashed into their examination room through a closed window and proceeded to do what could only be called causing a scene. She told them they were about to visit the forest of death.
Kiba heard about that place, his mother told him stories when he was younger, she said pups who strayed too far from the pack got picked up by ghosts who eat them alive inside said forest. Kiba gulped looking at the gates leading to the exams.
"Listen up maggots, as I said before my name is Mitarashi Anko the sexy mistress of Konoha!" The crazy woman mentioned before declared standing on a podium facing the rest of the Chunin prospects. Kiba wouldn't lie he stared at the knockers attached to her chest. Kiba scanned her from head to opened-toed boots and grinned liking what he saw.
Anko is an average-sized young woman with a slender frame. She has light brown, pupil-less eyes. Her hair is violet and styled in a short, spiky, fanned-out ponytail. She wears a custom-made outfit that is crafted of thin metal mesh to fit the lines of her body, which covers her from neck to thigh. Over this, she typically wears a tan overcoat with a purple in-seam and a pocket on each side, a dark orange mini-skirt, a dark blue belt, and pale grey shin guards. In addition to the typical forehead protector, she also wears a small pendant that looks like a snake fang.
"You! Bitch with the dog I can smell your horny ass from here!" Kiba jumped eyes widening in horror when every eye there looked his way and down. Kiba was quick to place his hand in front of his junk bringing his thighs together. Akamaru proceeded to hide under his heavy jacket, ready to face the shame with his best friend but not willing to see it.
"I did no such!!" Kiba stopped talking when a Kunai nicked his cheek living a shallow cut that drew blood and behind him, a killing intent drew his attention. Kiba wondered if all women could be tamed. that answer better be a yes because Kiba found his goal.
'Please don't kill me sexy mistress of Konoha.' Kiba begged with eyes shut tight, he was in love. A woman he was sure even his older sister would fear was the woman of his heart. Kiba proceeded to stiffen when an ominous chakra entered his keen sense of smell.
'Is this the snake I smelled on Kabuto?' Kiba dared to look back and there behind his 'love' who smiled normally at the person behind her with a Kunai in its long snake-like tongue was what Kiba could only call an actual snake. There was no way what stood behind Kiba was human, everything about it screamed of snake, even its chakra.
'A very dangerous snake.' Kiba deduced gulping and steeling his nerves ready to protect the mother of his future pups with his life. 'The sexiest mistress of Konoha.' Kiba couldn't wait to howl at the moon with her.
"I was just returning this well-maintained Kunai, Anko-Chan." The snake spoke and its voice carried such riches it compelled Kiba to believe that this man could be the devil, and a deal with him 'could' be worth it, even if you knew the price could be too high.
"Oh, why thank you." Anko smiled sweetly at the contender from Kusa, Kiba thought that was badass, clearly, she was like him and wasn't freaked out by stupid snakes. Poor boy didn't know Mitarashi Anko.
"Now back to your team." Anko ordered strictly, and the snake only smiled backing away from her. Kiba puffed out his chest behind the proctor trying to save face in front of the clear viewers watching. He caught sight of Sasuke smirking at him looking him right in the eye. Naruto had mirth in his eyes like he was already thinking of when he would bring it up.
Then he looked down and his head involuntarily flew back and he blew a hot breath squinting his eyes and shaking his head. The breeze had blown Anko's coat to the side and what Kiba saw convinced him Anko was the one. She had a tattoo of wings on her lower back just above her curvy behind. Kiba gulped again and pocked it.
Mitarashi Anko turned on Kiba so fast he gasped and took a step back not expecting her face so suddenly in his face. Anko Mitarashi looked curiously at Kiba who shook in his pants in fear and tried to open her mouth to speak, but Kiba if not anything at least knew women.
'If she starts talking ill never get a word in.' Kiba mentally scolded himself and stepped into Anko's personal space smirking, though his smirk was shaky he did not give up on it and kept it there.
"One day, you will be the mother of my pups, Sexiest Mistress of Konoha." Kiba stated loudly for the world to hear and the world heard before getting eerily quiet, then the whole crowd cried as one.
"WHAT!!" Even stoic Gara, Sasuke, and Neji were not exempt from showing shock in their own ways, this was the funkiest Chunin exam in the history of the event. Kiba Inuzuka a twelve-year-old had just proclaimed his intentions for a clearly older woman.
"How old are you kid?" Anko took the declaration in strides, she liked having fun and Kiba had balls in her books if he could be so bold to say something like that to her actual face, and she had the spittles to prove it.
"I'm 12, I know I'm young, I'm just saying it now so everybody knows to back off!" Kiba growled at the genin boys around even the Chunin males around his confidence getting a boost because he didn't get slapped across the face yet. When he saw Anko smirk at him he could tell she was a problematic one but he resolved himself and stood his ground, smirking back.
"Okay gaki." The world got silent again but now by Anko's words the scandal. Ino and Sakura locked eyes in the background setting a time and place at a glance to discuss this further with Amy's intake on the matter before acting accordingly.
Naruto was shocked and a bit revered, Kiba in his books was the bravest of them all now if anybody deserved third place in these exams it would be him. Why third? Because that was where the available spots began Naruto was taking First and he believed Hinata would take second.
"If you can become Jonin by the time you are 16 you can take me out on a date." Anko stepped away from Kiba licking his blood from the Kunai she snicked him with sensually making every boy in the exams except Gara blush and Shiver. They were hot-blooded boys after all with puberty introducing them to the wonders of a woman. The girl there sent the boys glares except for our resident blind hyūga of course.
Kiba had an Inuzuka swagger to him that had him waving only one hand up and down as he walked with a bounce in his steps that had his pants dropping occasionally and he would have to pick them up to reposition them. Kiba Inuzuka had just found his drive to kick everybody's ass and become Chunin soon. The hype was on.

"Your such a loser Kiba."Sakura told her teammate who smiled like a loon with Naruto hanging off his shoulders congratulating the Inuzuka like he just became a father as they approached team 8.
"I can't believe you did that man your so crazy, your insane, one crazy mother fucker. I love it." Naruto insulted Kiba before grabbing his jacket and shaking him by the cruft of his jacket grinning at the dog boy who grinned back at Naruto shaking the blond by the shoulders.
"I don't know man, I don't know." Kiba replied happily and stole a glance at Anko who stood back at the podium ready to explain the second exam to them. Sakura proceeded to yank Naruto from Kiba, Naruto was stuck to Kiba like glue and didn't want to let him go but Sakura eventually managed when she said she would call Ino. That was the day Naruto Uzumaki fled the scene.
"Listen up maggots, you are about to be tested on the most important aspect of the Shinobi arts, survival." Anko spoke loudly, her voice reaching the contestants clearly "In my hands, I have two scrolls one is a heaven scroll and the other is an earth scroll." Anko proceeded to lift her hands showing the scrolls. The heaven scroll was white and the earth scroll was navy blue.
"Teams will get a scroll randomly, either a heaven or an earth scroll. Your duty is to get the scroll you do not have from another team and reach the tower in the forest as a team, losing a member is an immediate disqualification." Anko explained and Sakura listened closely, not wanting to miss a single detail.
"Teams choose your representative, that person can follow me into the tent behind me to collect a scroll." Anko finished walking over to the tent. Sakura heard Kiba make catcalls at the retreating proctor and she shook her head in disgust at her teammate.
"Who will go collect the scroll?" Sakura asked and Kiba's hands flew up in the air recommending himself. "Except Kiba." Sakura added making the Inuzuka cry animatedly at the fact.
"Who will go you say Sakura-San, I Shino will gladly collect our scroll." Sakura jumped and looked behind her seeing her teammate. She didn't understand the Aburama boy he was so forgettable you could look at him now and the next second you forget he even existed.
"Fine." Kiba reluctantly accepted Shino would go frowning the whole time to show he didn't like it one bit. Sakura didn't care how the boy felt.
Shino proceeded to join the queue being formed in front of the tent Anko had entered. Shino was right behind Sasuke and Sakura cursed, thinking she should have gone instead of Shino, it was too late now.
Sakura went back to her head and began making plans, she was the strategist of her team a noble position but not one that seemed to get the Uchiha's attention so Sakura found the title useless to her cause. She had been practicing with her chakra but it was an uphill battle, she searched many books and found nothing that could help her.
Kurenai had told her she would look and ask around to see if she could help her, though the sensei of team 8 didn't sound too sure she would find anything regarding the topic. Sakura played with her chakra in her system while she waited for her teammate to return.
'If I have perfect control of my chakra shouldn't that also mean I had complete control of my attributes like speed and strength?' Sakura wondered playing with many ideas in her head, if she didn't do well here she could just lose her Sasuke-Kun forever the thought had Sakura balling her fists.
'No matter what I'll learn this ability and use it to win over Sasuke-Kun Shanaroo.' Sakura's heart sang in anticipation of the battles to come, actually wishing she would end up in a fight with Hinata so she could show Sasuke she was better.
"I have returned with the scroll why because I was handed one by the proctor." Shino shocked Sakura again and she actually got angry at him even though it was not his fault.
"Stop doing that!" Sakura shouted at her teammate who only stood there looking at her with his hands in his coat jacket. "Sorry." Sakura said after a second sighing in exasperation.
"Teams head to the gate number written on your scrolls and wait for the signal." Anko came back out and informed them of their new goal of heading to the gates.
"We are at gate F." Shino informed and Sakura nodded along with Kiba who was stealing glances at Anko every other second. They marched to the gate appointed to their team and waited.
"What's the plan Sakura?" Kiba asked the pink-haired girl who rubbed her chin in thought before speaking.
"Shino, can you send some of your insects and place them on some contestants, Akamaru sniff around for anybody with Anko-San's scent that person could have the scroll. Kiba you will translate Akamaru for us to understand." Sakura instructed wisely with a rough plan at hand, her teammates nodded doing as instructed.
Shino let some of his insects crawl out of his sleeves before flying to rest in some contestant's clothes, hair, or weapons pouch. Akamaru sniffed around and barked a few times with Kiba nodding in understanding before translating.
"Akamaru says Sasuke is the only one who smells like Anko in team 7, team 10 is Ino, team 9 is Tenten, the Suna team is the one with the gourd, the Kusa teams scroll is with the scary genin who gave the sexy mistress of Konoha her Kunai back….." Kiba continued explaining to Sakura who nodded and began formulating a plan of attack.
"The second test of the Chunin exams has officially begun. Make sure your deaths are gruesome maggots Go!" At Anko's final words, the gates opened. Sakura took a deep breath and steeled her resolve.
"Let's do this!" Kiba proclaimed running into the forest, Shino was quick to follow. Sakura stood still for a second and looked to her right at team 7 who had just dashed into the forest together.
'I won't lose.' Sakura promised herself and dashed in as well, the hype was on.
