Here is the 3rd Chapter!

"Okay so we are the only two people on this giant ship which has been sailing for last 4 days. This is the 5th day since we left Chiron," said Percy. "By the way Percy, what is our ship's name?" Grover asked. "I was thinking something like Half-Bloods or something," Percy replied, "Why don't you see the map and tell where we are right now?" "According to me, we are at the Grand Isle in Zeus's territory," answered Grover, "Hey! We are close to Athena's ship."

"Hey Grover, does it look like a storm is brewing there," Percy pointed towards the direction they were sailing. Grover answered after a moment of thinking, "But this isn't the usual time for storm in the Gulf." Grover went back to looking at the map. Percy tried to handle the helm of the ship for the very first time, "Grover, I really think we should change our direction." Suddenly in a second's time, a storm caught up to them. "WHOA!" Percy yelled as he stumbled towards the helm. Grover was pushed all over the deck. Percy tried to navigate through the raging sea. A huge wave was able reach the height of the ship and it splashed onto Percy which pushed him back away from the helm

"NO!" Grover yelled as he ran before Percy could go with the wave into the sea. He held Percy back at the last moment. But now they both went tumbling towards the edge before they ran away. Percy once again got the hold of the wheel as he tried to steer the ship out of the storm. The ship almost fell horizontally into the sea. Grover came to help Percy. Both of them put all of their power to stop that. Another wave came at both of them blacking them out.

Percy groaned as he opened his eyes. He definitely didn't except to wake up in a comfortable bed. He saw Grover Underwood sitting across. "Percy, I am really sorry," said Grover. Percy was confused, "Why? It wasn't your fault." "Well, if I had agreed to you about the storm, we could have saved 3 days," told Grover. "Forget it, G-man," Percy said as he realized he was in another ship in a empty crewmate's chamber.

"So, tell me Grover, whose ship are we on?" asked Percy. "This is...Athena's Grace," Grover told Percy. "What about our ship?" Percy asked. "It is anchored next to us," Grover said. Percy walked out of the room and found his way upto the deck. He noticed a lady probably in her early thirties sparring a blond-haired girl. "That is Athena, one of the Emperors of the Sea. The Pirate best known for her tactics and wisdom," Grover spoke up.

Percy was not keen on dying right there so he waited for the captain of the ship to stop. "Parley!" Percy yelled when they stopped. Athena's old and wise eyes scared him, "You are already on my ship, idiot." "Aye Captain. We are thankful to you for saving us from that storm," Percy said, "Now could I know where our ship is?" "No not right now," Athena's answer startled him, "I am not sure if you were able to steal Dionysus's ship or he gave it you. Your friend here said that you two are on a quest given by him. So, I sent a message to Dionysus through Hermes Fast Shipping Services to be sure, he will return in 7 days."

"But mam, we are on a tight schedule! It would be 15 days after leaving with ship till then," Percy explained. "Really?" The blond-haired girl next to her spoke up, "So, what is this quest?" "Well you see I am the so-" Percy got interrupted by Grover. "Percy you can't tell them. If the Civil War happens, she will support Zeus," he whispered into Percy's ears, "We can't let her know yet."

"Where are we?" Percy asked Grover. Athena heard him and answered, "Port Fourchon." "And where is our ship?" Percy asked. "We can't tell you." came the answer. "I am really grateful that you saved us but you are being paranoid right now," Percy said angrily. Grover told him stop again, "Um, Percy, you shouldn't talk to one of the greatest pirates like that." "I only think it would be wise to not tell you. I don't take risks until and unless necessary," Athena said. "Well that's... wise..." Percy muttered.

"Annabeth would you our guest around," Athena said to the blond-haired girl. She looked towards Percy, her gray eyes piercing him as if trying to find way to teach him a lesson if he tried anything stupid. "Aye Captain! Come with me. And you drool in your sleep." "What!"

(Sorry for so many screen breaks)

Percy learnt that Annabeth Chase was Athena's Quartermaster. The Grace was not much different than theirs. Both of them were crazily bigger than normal Pirate ships. Percy's heart sank, so many people wanted to become Pirates. Not that Pirates were always good but what had Percy done to be in the charge of such a ship. Be a king's son? Percy shook the though out of his mind. He wasn't a Pirate of course. He was just on a quest. A quest that could decide the future of Olympus.

Suddenly the ship ship swayed a bit. They ran towards the deck. They saw Malcolm, the first mate yell at a smaller Pirate ship, "It is not our fault, you bumped into us! We couldn't even have seen you from this height, Clarisse" A girl's voice came back, "Talk with respect!" "Let them on the ship," Athena told Malcolm. "Aye Captain."

Clarisse and her mates were ascended on to the ship, "Why are you here?" Athena asked. "Captain Ares sent us on Petrol." "I guess he doesn't have enough money to buy a monocular," Annabeth mocked her. "I will show you, you little bit-" Clarisse growled. Athena interrupted their fight, "Now, now. Remember, we are on the same side of Zeus. It wouldn't wise to fight, right?" Percy was taken aback. Him and Grover looked at each other. They are already planning for the Civil War.

Athena noticed them from the corner of her eyes. "You got a problem from that?" "What?" Percy asked. "You were surprised when you got to know we are on Zeus's side. Are you a Poseidon scum?" Athena explained. "No..no," Percy murmured, "It's just...nothing." "I'll leave it...for now."

"I suggest that you, Annabeth get back to showing both of our guests," Athena ordered. Percy thought that Dionysus would of course, help Poseidon. So, Athena shouldn't have questioned him. But again, it could have been because Dionysus can't captain a ship anymore. Annabeth showed them the parts of the ship Percy and Grover had already seen.

"So, what is your name? Are you new on the ship?" Clarisse asked. "Nope. We were just saved in a storm," Percy answered. "Well you are weak, then," said Clarisse. "Well you are dumb, then," Percy answered her back, "It is not easy to escape a storm. It was just the two of us without any training." Clarisse growled, "If you were on a Pirate Ship without any training driving through the storms, I wouldn't be the one who is dumb. We'll pulverize you," Clarisse said, but her eye twitched. Perhaps she wasn't sure she could follow through on the threat. She turned toward him, "Who's this little runt?"

"Percy Jackson," Annabeth said, "meet Clarisse, First Mate of Ares." He blinked. "Like ... one of the emperors of the sea?" Clarisse sneered. "You got a problem with that?" "No," Percy said, recovering his wits. "I just find it is amusing that he will take you as his first mate." Clarisse growled. "We got an initiation ceremony for newbies, Prissy." "Percy." "Whatever. Come on, I'll show you." "Clarisse-" Annabeth tried to say. "Stay out of it, wise girl." Annabeth looked pained, but she did stay out of it, and he didn't really want her help. Percy was the new kid. He had to earn his own reputation.

He got ready to fight, but before he knew it, Clarisse had him by the neck and was dragging him toward a cinder-block building that Percy knew immediately was the bathroom. He was kicking and punching. He'd been in plenty of fights before, but this big girl Clarisse had hands like iron. She dragged Percy into the bathroom. He was thinking-as much as he could think with Clarisse ripping his hair out.

Clarisse's friends were all laughing, and he was trying to find the strength he'd used to fight the man 8 days ago, but it just wasn't there. Annabeth stood in the corner, watching through her fingers. Clarisse bent him over on his knees and started pushing his head toward the toilet bowl. It reeked like rusted pipes and, well, like what goes into toilets. He strained to keep my head up. Percy was looking at the scummy water, thinking, he will not go into that. He won't.

He looked into the water and got reminded of the pure rivers which were the exact opposite. Water stays low in the river, yet it is a life-giving force. Water does not fight against its surroundings, it tries to find a course. Water is open to change: gas, liquid, solid. It adapts and alters its form accordingly. At the very last moment, Percy reacted. He side-stepped and turned and pushed Clarisse into the toilet. He took her spear which he realized she had been holding and bust the pipes open.

One of them came to fight him but he was in the advantage because of the spear's long range. Percy clashed his spear with the one who was blocking him and turned. He dropped the spear and closed the door and latched it. "She got a taste of her own medicine," Percy grinned. Annabeth and Grover bore eyes into him. "Captain Athena is going to kill you," Annabeth muttered.

She was right Athena almost killed until Annabeth save him. They explained why that was necessary. "Well, I guess it was okay. It wasn't wisest thing to do," Athena said. "I know she is known for her wisdom," Percy whispered to Grover, "But can't she speak any sentence normally without uttering the word 'wise'?" "Everyone will play the game day after the tomorrow called Capture the Flag!" Athena yelled.

Percy and Grover were given a small chamber to sleep in. They had lost their all of their belongings in the storm including sword 'riptide' Percy was gifted by Chiron. "Is it all really worth it?" Percy asked Grover. "Foooooooddddd," came the answer. Percy turned over and slept. In his dreams, he saw his mom sinking into sand. The ground shook. Laughter came from somewhere under the earth, and a voice so deep and evil it turned his blood to ice. Come down, little hero, the voice crooned. Come down! The sand split beneath him, opening up a crevice straight down to the center of the earth. His feet slipped, and darkness swallowed me. Percy woke up, sure he was falling.

He woke up to a blond-haired guy with a scar on his face and Grover shaking him. "Dude, we were scared, you shaking weirdly. I am happy you are okay," the blond-haired guy said. "Who are you?" Percy groaned. "Oh I am Luke. Luke Castellan." "Well thanks for caring for me," Percy thanked him, "Where do you stay in the ship?" "Here. This my space. Sorry, I returned late yesterday. I had some work to do," he answered, "Come on. Let's go to the brunch."

Percy learnt that the crew had meals two times, the brunch and supper. "Tough first day? Luke asked as they eat. "Why do you ask?" Percy asked. "Oh I just felt like it," Luke answered. Percy felt down. That meant people could look at him and easily deduce that he definitely had a bad day. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to sadden you," Luke said. "Yeah it's just Clarisse from Ares's ship tried to fight me. Well she got her head stuck in toilet and herself locked in a flooding bathroom." Luke laughed with him.

Percy finished his meal before Luke and Grover and made his way back when he met Annabeth. They didn't say anything. Percy thought about his dream. Come down! Down as in South. Someone was definitely trying to help him but with things he already knew. "You are thinking about the Civil War aren't you?" Annabeth's voice broke him out of his trance. Percy was scared Annabeth had somehow read his thoughts, "What, what do you mean?"

"You haven't heard the rumors? Zeus accused Poseidon of stealing his legendary sword. I mean seriously, civil war for a sword?" Annabeth said. So that's what it looks like to the others, Percy thought. "But I think there is more to that," Annabeth said again, "Poseidon also seems angry. Something of him has also been stolen. And you are on a mission to stop the Civil War by retrieving both things from Hades."

Percy's eye twitched. She was really smart. Percy told her everything, about him being the son of Poseidon, about Dionysus, his dreams, everything. Whether it was the right thing or not, whether it was instinctively, whether it was to repay her saving him from Athena, he didn't care. Annabeth's eyes widened. "You should see a seer." "You believe in those things?" Percy asked. "I know they are true. I have had the first-hand experience," she explained, "You should meet the Oracle of Delphi."

"I am not going to Greece," Percy said. "She stays in Delphos, English Region," Annabeth told him, "Their tribe have come to Tampico in Atlantis for some months." "You chose to see that more important than me being King Poseidon's son?" Percy asked. Then it struck her. This was, probably, too much for even her. "You are the heir of Atlantis?" Annabeth asked. "I don't know about that."

In the afternoon, Percy got a sword-fighting lesson. He was just minding his own business when he saw Luke sparring with a man between a cluster of Pirates who were all shouting and grinning crazily. "Hey Perce, come here!" Luke's voice called him. "Me! What am I going to do there?" Percy said as he walked towards them. "Do you know how to sword-fight?" Luke asked. "Well no."

"Really Perce? You are on a pirate ship. You should know how to," Luke said, "Come on I will teach you." Great let's see Percy get pounded. They started with basic stabbing and slashing, using some straw-stuffed dummies in Greek armor. Percy guessed he did okay. At least, he understood what he was supposed to do and his reflexes were good. The problem was, he couldn't find a blade that felt right in his hands. Either they were too heavy, or too light, or too long. Luke tried his best to fix Percy up, but he agreed that none of the practice blades seemed to work for him. Only Riptide did and now it was lost.

Percy again worked with what he got. Luke showed him thrusts and parries and shield blocks the hard way. With every swipe, he got a little more battered and bruised. "Keep your guard up, Percy," he'd say, then whap him in the ribs with the flat of his blade. "No, not that far up!" Whap! "Lunge!" Whap! "Now, back!" Whap! By the time he called break, Percy was soaked in sweat.

"Hey! Newbie, you are not going to win against him. He is the best sword-fighting pirate in the world." One of the Pirates yelled. Percy wanted to ask how they knew that but left it. "Now, now," Luke grinned, "I have met my match many times. I am sure Jason Grace out there is better than me." They practiced again while Percy was boiling in anger.

He figured they'd been in his shoes before and couldn't wait to see how Luke used him for a punching bag. He told everybody he was going to demonstrate a disarming technique: how to twist the enemy's blade with the flat of your own sword so that he had no choice but to drop his weapon. "This is difficult," he stressed. "I've had it used against me. No laughing at Percy, now. Most swordsmen have to work years to master this technique." He demonstrated the move on Percy in slow motion. Sure enough, the sword clattered out of his hand.

"Now in real time," he said, after Percy had retrieved his weapon. "We keep sparring until one of us pulls it off. Ready, Percy?" Percy nodded, and Luke came after him. Somehow, he kept him from getting a shot at the hilt of his sword. His senses opened up. He saw his attacks coming. Percy countered. He stepped forward and tried a thrust of his own.

Luke deflected it easily, but Percy saw a change in his face. His eyes narrowed, and he started to press Percy with more force The sword grew heavy in his hand. The balance wasn't right. He knew it was only a matter of seconds before Luke took him down, so he figured, What the heck? Percy tried the disarming maneuver. Percy's blade hit the base of Luke's and he twisted, putting his whole weight into a downward thrust. CLANG!

Luke's sword rattled against the stones. The tip of his blade was an inch from Luke's undefended chest. The other campers were silent. He lowered my sword. "Um, sorry," Percy muttered. For a moment, Luke was too stunned to speak. "Sorry?" His scarred face broke into a grin. "By the gods, Percy, why are you sorry? Show me that again!" Luke suddenly hugged Percy. He was happy. He had met his first friend in the wilderness.

Welp, a little too much of reference from the book.
