The Minecraft Story: The Beginning: Chapter 16
Herobrine sat underneath a large tree. The wind felt amazing on his face. It was the first time he had sat down and really enjoyed the feeling of the Overworld. He had missed these sunny and breezy days.
He took a bite of a plump, juicy apple. It was delicious. He never ate much in the Nether. He didn't need to, but he enjoyed the feeling of it. Unfortunately, the only food in the Nether was mushrooms. It felt good to enjoy the spoils of the Overworld again. Herobrine had never felt more relaxed.
A piglin approached Herobrine, "My lord, we spotted an army heading towards the south."
An army? Herobrine thought. They must be one of the legions of the Order of Notch I read about. We haven't fought a proper army yet.
Herobrine stood up and quickly finished his apple. "How many were there?" He asked, his mouth still full with the apple.
The piglin snorted, "We counted about two hundred my lord."
Two hundred? He thought. I want to see how strong these legions are. I should only probe them a little bit.
"Assemble a force of one hundred piglins," Herobrine demanded. "Follow them at a distance. Once they stop wherever they're going, we will attack on my command."
Herobrine's army contained one thousand piglins. In the village raids, he'd only lost twenty of them. They made sure to take the bodies with them to not attract the attention of a huge army. He read that the Army of Notch contained about ten thousand knights. He knew he was outnumbered. This was a good opportunity to test his piglins and see if they could fight this grand army.
It didn't take too long to reach the legion. They followed them further south until they arrived at a village. Herobrine had assumed they were going to rest in the village, but to his surprise, they began to organize themselves into battle formation.
Looks like we get a show before we attack. He thought.
Herobrine watched in delight as the legion attacked the village and burned down the gate. They began flooding inside the village and slaughtered what appeared to be the enemy soldiers near the gate. The bloodshed filled Herobrine's black heart. This is what he always wanted to see from humanity. Conflict, blood, war. It was all so interesting to him. But the best part wasn't over yet. After the soldiers were killed, the legion began burning the village and murdering the villagers.
So much for the revered holy legions of Notch. He thought, chuckling to himself. Once they're done burning this village, we'll attack.
