Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 32
Konoha; Kakashi's apartment: With Sakura and Kakashi
Sakura and Kakashi were both sleeping in bed with their arms wrapped around each other; over the past year both she and Kakashi have been in a secret relationship. This was due to 2 reasons, Sakura didn't want a scandal and Kakashi didn't want to be despised by his fellow jonin due to the age gap and ethical issues.
Sakura was sleeping on Kakashi's chest when her eyes opened up and she saw Kakashi sleeping; his mask less face was showing and she felt so grateful that he felt comfortable to not wear it in the house. Sakura crawled up and planted a kiss on Kakashi's lips; Kakashi's eyes opened and saw the smiling face of Sakura.
"Morning Kashi" Sakura said using his pet name.
"Morning my lovely student" Kakashi said jokingly; Sakura slapped him on the chest.
"You just had to ruin it" Sakura said as she got up walking to the restroom in her t shirt and panties "lets get dressed and-" she began until an explosion erupted and shook the apartment.
Both Kakashi and Sakura rushed to the window and looked out; both of them saw black clouds coming from multiple places in the village.
"We're under attack" Kakashi shouted as both he and Sakura began to throw their cloths and gear on "go and find lady Tsunade; I'll go and find Guy and the others" Kakashi said and Sakura nodded.
"Right" Sakura said as she ran over and kissed him "be safe" Sakura said and Kakashi nodded; Sakura ran out of the apartment and tightened her forehead protector on.
'What is going on; how did the enemy get into the village' Sakura thought as she ran down the street.
"Hey" came a shout; Sakura turned and saw 3 ninja running towards her.
"What's going on" Sakura said as she turned around and stopped "is the village-" Sakura began but stopped as she dodged a kunai that was going for her head. 'What' Sakura thought in confusion.
"Die demon lover" one of the ninja shouted as he tried to stab Sakura with a kunai; Sakura side stepped and punched him in the head full force splattering his brains on the floor. Sakura then grabbed his headless body and used it as a club smacking the other 2 ninja away and into a wall.
'What the hell' Sakura thought as she looked at them 'they're Konoha ninja; what's going on' Sakura thought.
Hyuga training grounds: With Hinata and Hanabi
"Hyaah" Hinata roared as she struck down another branch member sending him to the ground; Hinata and Hanabi were both training when the explosions went off. As soon as they did they were attacked by 10 ninja; half were wearing root uniforms while the other half were Hyuga branch members. So far Hinata and Hanabi both knocked out or killed all but one.
Hanabi ducked under a slash from a root anbu and struck him in the leg with a juken strike shutting down his leg; Hanabi came up and struck the anbu under the chin snapping his head up.
The anbu fell to the ground and Hanabi looked at her sister "Elder sister; they're our own villagers" Hanabi said "who do we trust" she asked in a panic.
"No one" Hinata said "we stand alone" Hinata said; as she said that 20 more root anbu came rushing in and both sisters got into a defensive stance. As both girls waited for the assault they heard a shout.
"Leaf Hurricane" Lee came in as a green blur and kicked one anbu in the face shattering his mask sending him to the ground; Lee spun around and kicked another sending him flying across the training ground.
"Damn it" an anbu shouted "kill this bastard" he shouted as 2 ninja rushed towards Lee; as they did so they were attacked by insects and began to scream in agony as their chakra was being sucked out of them.
"Looks like we arrived in time Lee" Shino said as he came out and stood by Hinata "Hinata are you and your sibling ok" he asked and Hinata nodded.
"Yes we're fine" Hinata said "what's going on" Hinata asked and Shino adjusted his glasses.
"Judging by the explosions and the Konoha shinobi trying to kill us" Shino said "I'd say a coup just started" he said.
With Kakashi
Kakashi was running through the streets of Konoha having no idea what was going on; so far he has engaged 3 different shinobi, 2 in root uniforms and another in regular shinobi garb.
'What the hell is going on; why are they attacking us' Kakashi thought as he turned a corner; as he did he saw several familiar faces.
Asuma, Kurenai, Anko and Guy were all fighting the root anbu who had surrounded them.
Anko sent 4 snakes from under her sleeves towards a root anbu and all 4 snakes bit into him; Anko used the snakes to pull him in and deliver a devastating kick to his face sending his nose cartilage into his brain killing him.
Kurenai made a hand sign and put another anbu into a genjutsu; the anbu saw as Kurenai disappeared into thin air. He began to look around until he felt himself become wrapped in vines; Kurenai then came out of the vines and proceeded to stab him in the neck with a kunai. Kurenai now standing behind the anbu pulled the kunai out and let his body fall to the ground.
Asuma was using his trench knifes to fight off 4 anbu at once; one of the anbu rushed towards Asuma with a sword. The anbu went in for a thrust but Asuma side stepped and slashed his throat open; 2 more came at him with swords and Asuma in a jumping spinning motion sliced off both of their heads as they fell to the ground. The last one rushed in but Asuma was ready as he was going through hand signs.
'Fire Style: Burning ash' Asuma blew a thick cloud of smoke at the anbu before chomping down and creating a spark igniting the smoke killing him.
Guy had the most enemies at 6; Guy jumped in the air and performed a spinning kick hitting 3 of the enemy ninja knocking them out. Guy rushed the the 3 remaining anbu who got their swords ready; the 3 anbu ran in swords raised but Guy acted first.
Guy ducked under a swing and punched the enemy in the nuts making him lean over; Guy came up with an uppercut knocking him out. The 2 other anbu took out several shuriken and threw them at Guy; Guy grabbed the unconscious ninja and used him as a shield as the shuriken hit him into the back killing him.
Guy was about to go in but before he could a bolt of lighting flashed across his eyes; Kakashi with a raikiri rushed in and used his jutsu to decapitate the enemy ninja.
"Kakashi; my youthful friend" Guy said with a smile "How are you this fine morning" he said and Kakashi sweat dropped.
"Guy you really are something else huh" Kakashi said before the others came over.
"What the hell is going on Kakashi" Anko said "I come out for Dango with Kurenai and the whole village erupts in chaos" she said.
"There must be a reason behind this" Kurenai said "we need to find out what" Kurenai said.
"We need to get to the Hokage tower" Kakashi said and everyone nodded.
"You guy go; I have to get Konohamaru and the others" Asuma said as he went up to Kurenai "be safe ok" Asuma said as he kissed her and ran off towards the western training grounds.
"Lets go" Kakashi said and Guy, Kurenai and Anko followed him.
Hokage Tower: With Tsunade and Shizune
Tsunade lifted up and tossed another bolder off the roof of the Hokage tower to a squad of root anbu down below; the boulder squashed the squad of Root Anbu running up from the east. As Tsunade looked across the burning village listening to the sounds of battle she felt her heart begin to break.
"Goddamn it" Tsunade said as tears began to swell up into her eyes "Danzo; you crazy son of a bitch" she said
"Lady Tsunade" Shizune said as she grabbed her shoulder "we need to organize a counter attack" she said.
As soon as she said that Ibiki, Yugao and 16 anbu appeared "Lady Tsunade" Yugao said from behind her mask "the Anbu barracks was bombed, most of the anbu were killed; we're what's left" she said and Tsunade grit her teeth.
"Cat, Ibiki; you and you're squad are coming with me and Shizune" Tsunade said as she took off her green haori and threw it to the side "we are going to defend this village or die trying" Tsunade said and both Yugao and Ibiki nodded.
"I cannot think of a more fitting fate for a ninja" Ibiki said with a smirk "ok you lot; get ready to fight" he shouted.
Tsunade nodded as she and the others jumped off the building to the ground below. As they landed Tsunade looked around and saw over 200 Root anbu, regular ninja, Hyuga and Inuzuka surrounding them.
"Lady Tsunade" A root anbu said walking forward "Lord Danzo ordered you be taken alive; surrender and we will spare you" he said and Tsunade narrowed her eyes.
"I'm thinking of an answer…" Tsunade said before rushing forward and punching the anbu through the chest with her fist going through his body "of something between 'no fucking way' and go 'fucking fuck yourselves'" Tsunade shouted as she pulled her hand out of the dead Anbu's body.
Everyone other ninja surrounding Tsunade and her group took out swords, kunai and various other types of weapons "kill them all" a rogue ninja shouted as they all charged forward.
Inuzuka compound: With Tsume and Hana
Tsume Inuzuka was having an early morning clan meeting with Hana and several others when the attack happened; when she and the others ran out she saw a coalition of root anbu and Inuzuka members attacking fellow Inuzuka's.
Now both Tsume, Hana and their dogs were the last ones fighting as the others were killed; Tsume and her dog Kuromaru were both running towards a group of root ninja and jumped in the air and began to spin.
'Fang over Fang' Tsume thought as she and her nin-dog began to tear through the group of anbu; blood, limbs and gore began to fly in all directions as both Tsume and Kuromaru stopped and flicked the blood off themselves.
"You dumb bastards; just leave" Tsume shouted as she turned around and saw Hana still fighting.
Hana was slashed across her chest by a rogue Inuzuka his claws ripping her chunin jacket open; Hana grabbed his arm and flipped him onto his back slamming him onto the ground. Hana followed up by stomping on his neck crushing his windpipe; Hana let go and looked behind her and saw root anbu charging towards her.
But before he could close the distance he was attacked by Hana's dogs as they jumped on him; one bit his neck tearing out his throat, another bit his leg and tore off his artery and the last one ripped a whole in his stomach spilling his intestines.
"Lady Tsume" came a voice and several Inuzuka came rushing in "you and Hana have got to escape; we're out numbered" he said as he and the other Inuzuka began to fight the root anbu and their fellow Inuzuka.
"We can't just give up Botan " Tsume shouted as she killed another anbu with a slash to the throat "this is our home" she said.
"Konoha is lost; all we can do now is stay alive" Botan said as he dodged a sword slash "just go; there is no time to argue" he said and Tsume growled. Hana ran over to her mother and grabbed her arm.
"We need to go mom" Hana said as she pulled Tsume "come on" she begged and Tsume grunted.
"Fuck" Tsume shouted as she turned around and ran with her daughter and their dogs; Botan saw as their leader and daughter escaped.
'God speed' Botan thought before he dodged a grey vortex; he landed a saw it was Kiba there with Akamaru "Kiba, you traitor" he shouted.
Kiba looked at him and growled "I guess i just missed my mom and sister" Kiba said as he got into his taijutsu stance "no problem; I can still catch them" he said and Botan growled.
"Over my dead body" Botan said and Kiba chuckled.
"That can be arranged" Kiba said as both men charged at each other.
Konoha training grounds: With Konohamaru, Udon, Moegi and Ebisu
Konohamaru and his team were all looking on as the battle in the village raged on; Konohamaru had tears in his eyes as he saw his home being destroyed.
'Grandpa; what happened here' Konohamaru thought as he looked at the smoking Hokage monument; suddenly there was the sound of feet landing behind them and all 4 members of the team tuned around with kunai drawn.
"Konohamaru" Asuma shouted as he ran towards them.
"Uncle Asuma" Konohamaru shouted as he ran to Asuma; both of them hugged each other "what's going on; we were training when we heard the explosions" he said.
"There is a coup going on" Asuma said "I don't know who to trust" he said.
"We need to get out of here" Ebisu said adjusting his glasses "2 jonin can handle anything; but my students are not ready for something like this" he said and Asuma nodded.
"We need to get out of the village" Asuma said.
"We need to find our friends" Moegi said "what about Hanabi and Sakura and the others" she said.
"We can go and hide out by Naruto's grave" Udon said gaining all their attentions "we go there and wait for you to come back" he said and Asuma nodded.
"Ok you three go there and wait" Asuma said "I'll go get, Kakashi and the others; Ebisu go and find the Hyuga sisters" he said and Ebisu nodded.
"Very well" Ebisu said; Konohamaru and his team ran to Naruto's grave while Asuma and Ebisu ran into the village "I had hoped I'd never see something like this again; now I've see the village attacked twice in my life" Ebisu said.
"Neither did i" Asuma said as he and Ebisu ran into the village with the sounds of battle erupting around them.
With Sakura
Sakura was running towards the Hokage tower seeing the destruction around her; so far she has taken out 4 of her 'fellow' shinobi.
'I must be getting close' Sakura thought as she ran ahead; as she turned the corner she saw
Tsunade and a contingent of anbu fighting 'I found her' she thought.
Tsunade threw a punch landing it on the head of a root anbu splattering his brains across the ground; as she did so she ducked from a slash from behind. Tsunade retaliated with a kick to the abdomen sending the anbu flying into a building killing him.
"Lady Tsunade" Sakura shouted as she ran up; 2 root anbu saw Sakura and moved in to attack. One of the anbu took out a kunai and slashed at Sakura; Sakura grabbed his arm and snapped it in half making him scream. Sakura then performed a knee stomp snapping his leg in half sending him to the ground.
As she did so the second anbu ran up and attempted to stab her; Sakura using her gloved hand grabbed the sword stopping the attack. Sakura proceeded to snap the sword in half before performing a sweep kick taking the anbu off balance; Sakura finished the attack by kicking the anbu into a group of several others knocking them down.
"Sakura; what the hell are you doing here" Tsunade yelled as Sakura ran up to her.
"I came to help you" Sakura said "what's going on" she said and Tsunade frowned.
"This is Danzo's work" Tsunade said "i never thought he'd have the balls to do this" she said; suddenly the ground began to shake and everyone turned and saw something horrific. "You've got to be shitting me" Tsunade said.
A large red skeletal figure made of chakra began to approach with a man standing in the middle; Sakura and Tsunade gaped as they saw Itachi Uchiha in full anbu armor approach.
"You are correct lady Tsunade" Itachi said coolly "now surrender, and I promise your deaths will be swift" he said as he got his Susanoo ready for battle.
"Lady Tsunade" Ibiki shouted gaining her attention "you, Cat, Shizune and your apprentice should leave; me and the others will hold them off" he shouted and Tsunade shook her head.
"I can't leave" Tsunade said "I'm the Hokage; I can't-" Tsunade began but was interrupted when Itachi began his attack; Itachi swung his Susanoo's sword down cleaving 2 of Tsunade's remaining anbu in half.
"GO GODDAMN IT" Ibiki shouted as he began to go through hand signs "summoning jutsu" he shouted as he slammed his hands to the ground. Out of the ground an Iron Maiden that looked like a engimomo statue popped out of the ground and encased Itachi. The Iron Maiden began to shake side to side and began to crack "go now" Ibiki shouted.
"Let's go Lady Tsunade" Sakura said as she began to pull Tsunade away.
"FUCK" Tsunade shouted 'I can't beat Itachi; but still… damn it" she thought. "Cat, Sakura, run now" Tsunade said; Tsunade, Yugao, Shizune and Sakura all began to run across the roof tops away from the battle.
Ibiki smiled as he and his remaining anbu took up a back to back formation; the Iron Maiden began to break apart and Ibiki could see Itachi's Susanoo.
"Ok boys; we are about to die" Ibiki said "kill as many as you can before you fall" he said as the Iron Maiden was destroyed and Itachi stood there unamused.
"It has been an honor serving with you sir" an anbu said as more root anbu arrived.
"I feel the same" Ibiki said "let go boys" Ibiki shouted as he and his anbu ran into battle one more time.
With Kakashi, Asuma and the others
Kakashi, Asuma, Anko, Guy and Kurenai were all running to the Hokage tower to get Sakura and Tsunade.
"We have got to make it" Kakashi said "I won't lose Sakura" he said and everyone nodded.
"I know how you feel Kakashi" Asuma said "i lost my students as well… all of them" he said as he thought about Choji, Ino and Shikamaru. 'Shikamaru… you're smarter than this; i know it' Asuma thought hoping his feeling was false.
As they ran across the roof tops Kurenai saw 4 figure ahead "look it's them" Kurenai said pointing; everyone saw Tsunade, Yugao, Sakura and Shizune running towards them.
"Kakashi" Sakura shouted as she ran up and hugged him "your ok" she said.
"Yeah I am" Kakashi said as he hugged her back; Tsunade seeing this had a realization and smiled.
'Well, well' Tsunade thought.
"Lady Tsunade" Asuma said gaining her attention "we are meeting at Naruto's grave with the others; what are we going to do" he asked.
"I say lead a counter attack" Anko said "lets kill these fuckers" she said and Tsunade shook her head.
"No we can't" Tsunade said making them all go wide eyed "Itachi Uchiha is here" she said shocking them all.
"Are you serious" Guy asked and Tsunade nodded.
"We are out numbered and out classed" Tsunade said clenching her fists "even if we defeat Itachi most of us will die trying" she said.
"So what do we do" Cat asked and Tsunade took in a breath.
"We escape to Suna and live to fight another day" Tsunade said shocking everyone; Tsunade began to go through hand signs and slammed her hand onto the ground summoning a slug "send word to Suna; Konoha has fallen and we are coming" she said.
"Yes my lady" the slug said before vanishing.
"Lets go" Tsunade said as she along with the others began to make their way to Naruto's grave.
A few minutes later: Naruto's grave
Tsunade and the others arrived at Naruto's grave; upon arriving they found Konohamaru, Moegi, Udon, Ebisu, Hinata, Hanabi, Lee, Shino, Hana, Tsume and their dogs.
"Lady Tsunade; thank goodness" Ebisu said walking up "what is the plan" he asked and Tsunade looked at everyone.
"We are going to Suna" Tsunade said "we will all split up into 4 groups" she said. "Kakashi, Guy, Hinata, Hanabi and Lee" she said pointing at them.
"Yes mam" Kakashi said with a nod.
"Next is Tsume, Hana, their dogs, Anko and Shino" Tsunade continued and Tsume nodded.
"Very well" Tsume said.
"Asume, Ebisu and his team will be together" Tsunade said and Asuma nodded.
"Copy that" Asuma said.
"Lastly it will be me, Sakura, Shizune, Kurenai and Cat" Tsunade said looking at her team.
"Right" Sakura said.
"Move out and go in different directions" Tsunade said and everyone nodded "good luck… and may Kami be with you" she said. Everyone got into their groups and began to go off in different directions.
With Team Kakashi
Kakashi, Guy, Lee, Hinata and Hanabi were running through Konoha's countryside in an attempt to reach the Suna border 'We're making good time' Kakashi thought 'if we keep this up then we should-' Kakashi began until a figure landed in front of them making them all stop.
"N-Neji" Hinata said shocked seeing her cousin standing in front of them.
"You will not pass" Neji said activating his Byakugan and getting into his taijutsu stance "even if I die in the attempt; I will ensure to kill a few of you" he said.
'No' Kakashi thought as he looked at Neji 'he's here to stall us; there must be a pursuit team behind us' Kakashi thought. 'We have no choice; someone will need to fight him so we can pass' Kakashi thought.
"Kakashi sensei" Hinata said stepping forward; Hinata got into her fighting stance and spoke "I'll hold him off" Hinata said shocking everyone. "You go and make sure Hanabi-" Hinata began until she was hit in the back.
Hanabi hit Hinata from behind knocking her out, shocking everyone including Neji 'I'm sorry sister; but you should go, I'll be fine' Hanabi thought. Hanabi then charged at Neji with her hands alive with chakra "go now" Hanabi shouted as she engaged Neji in hand to hand combat.
Kakashi seeing this cursed mentally as he picked up Hinata "Guy, Lee; lets go" Kakashi said but no one moved "now damn it" he shouted. Both Guy and Lee grit their teeth and ran past Neji and Hanabi; Hanabi seeing this jumped and gained some distance.
"Why save a useless failure like her" Neji said with a scowl.
"Because I love her" Hanabi said "she has been miserable all her life; maybe she can find some happiness" she said as she got into her taijutsu stance. "I guess me and your father are alike" Hanabi said making Neji growl "making sacrifices for the greater good" she said.
"Your sacrifice is in vain" Neji said getting into his taijutsu stance "she is destined to die by my hands" he said.
"I won't let that happen" Hanabi said as she got ready to fight.
With Team Asuma
Asuma, Ebisu, Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon were all running trying to make distance between them and the village; Asuma was looking around trying to spot any enemies who were hiding.
'Nothing yet' Asuma thought; suddenly Asuma and his group were attacked from the left "Watch out" Asuma shouted as he and his group jumped away at the last second. Asuma saw shadow tentacles and his eyes widened 'no' he thought.
Shikamaru walked out of the shadows and appeared in front of Asuma and his group "Asuma sensei; you look well" Shikamaru said "Please surrender; don't make this harder than it needs to be" he said.
Asuma grit his teeth and took out his trench knives "Ebisu" Asuma said "take the kids and go; I'll hold him off" he said and Konohamaru spoke.
"Uncle Asuma; don't" Konohamaru begged but Asume turned.
"There is no time; just go" Asuma shouted and Konohamaru flinched; Ebisu grabbed Konohamaru by his shoulder and pulled him.
"Lets go" Ebisu said as he dragged Konohamaru away "goodbye Asuma" Ebisu said as he and his team began to run.
"Is there any way i can talk you out of this" Asuma said and Shikamaru looked at him.
"No" Shikamaru said coldly.
"Very well" Asuma said as he got into his stance.
"This…" Shikamaru said as his shadow turned into tendrils "is going to be such a drag" he said.
With team Tsume
Tsume, Hana, their dogs, Anko and Shino were all running through the woods; Shino was using his bugs to scan around for any pursuers. Shino's bug came back and informed him of a single enemy on their tail.
"Kiba is tracking us" Shino said informing his team "he is alone for right now; but he may have reinforcements close behind him" he said.
"Damn it" Tsume said "I'll stay behind and take him on" she said and Shino shook his head.
"No" Shino said shutting her down "you three are too valuable to lose; you and your daughter for political reasons and Anko for her battle prowess" he said. "I will face him; we are former teammates and i know his fighting style, i stand the highest chance of beating him" he said.
"You got balls kid" Anko said to Shino "are you sure" she said and Shino nodded.
"Positive" Shino said; Tsume, Hana and Anko all looked at each other and nodded.
"Ok Shino" Tsume said "I'm sorry" she said.
"Good luck" Hana said.
"Kick his ass" Anko said.
"I bid you farewell" Shino said as he stopped and turned around; Shino heard Tsume and the others leave and stood there for a few seconds. He didn't have to wait long as Kiba arrived with Akamaru; both Kiba and Akamaru were covered in blood as they looked at Shino.
"Well, well; Shino, long time buddy" Kiba said with a smirk; Shino did not say anything as his bugs came out of his sleeves and swarmed around him "no conversation, you haven't changed a bit" he said as he took a food pill and gave Akamaru one as well. "Well buddy; looks like this is the end of the line for you" Kiba said as he turned more feral and Akamaru turned red "lets get him boy" Kiba shouted as he and Akamaru charged in.
With Team Tsunade
Tsunade, Sakura, Kurenai, Shizune and Yugao were making their way to Suna and making good time "we should be at the border in a few hours" Tsunade said and her team nodded. As they continued to run through the forest there was a loud rumbling coming from behind them; everyone turned around and saw a red line coming towards them as it cut the trees in half "Duck" Tsunade shouted.
Everyone fell to the ground as the trees were cut in half and fell down towards them; Tsunade and Sakura used their super strength to knock the falling trees away before they could crush them.
Everyone stood up and their blood ran cold; Itachi with his Susanoo was running towards them at full speed. 'I'm using too much chakra; it'd best stop using my Susanoo' Itachi thought as he deactivated his Susanoo and took out his sword.
"Shit" Yugao said as she rushed Itachi taking out her sword "Lady Tsunade; take the others and go" she yelled. "I'll hold him off for as long as i can" Yugao shouted as she neared Itachi; both Yugao and Itachi began to clash blades as sparks began to fly.
Sakura seeing this clenched her fists and was about to get and help until Shizune rushed beside her pulling up her sleeve revealing her senbon launcher.
Shizune fired her senbon at her opponent who used a pair of twin hook swords to knock them out of the air; Asuka came out of hiding and got into her stance.
"Lady Tsunade, Sakura; go now" Shizune said and Tsunade went wide eyed.
"Shizune, no" Tsunade shouted in protest but Shizune looked at her.
"Think of the others" Shizune said "we need you alive" she said and Tsunade began to tear up. "Uncle Dan would want you to go" Shizune said hitting a cord in Tsunade's heart.
"Lady Tsunade" Sakura said looking to her master for guidance.
"Sakura, Kurenai" Tsunade said through her tears "lets go" she said before looking at Shizune. "Thank you Shizune" Tsunade said "for putting up with me for all these years" she said; Tsunade, Sakura and Kurenai all began to run towards Suna while Yugao and Shizune stayed behind.
'Goodbye Lady Tsunade' Shizune thought as she looked towards her young opponent; Shizune took out a kunai and got into her stance 'Kami give me strength' she thought.
Meanwhile; In Suna: With Naruto
Naruto was in the Kazekage office going through papers 'hmmm… what to sign off next' Naruto thought 'I'll go with… more D-ranks at the hospital' he thought as he signed the paper. Naruto put the paper to the side and was about to grab another one when the door burst open scaring him "what the hell" Naruto shouted.
Temari, Jiraya and Obito all appeared wide eyed and pale making Naruto anxious "what's wrong guys" Naruto said concerned.
"Naruto" Temari said running up and looking him dead in the eye "It's bad" she said making Naruto's heart race.
"Tsunade sent me a slug messenger" Jiraya said rushing in "Konoha has fallen and Tsunade and what's left of her allies are making their way to the border" he said making Naruto pale.
"We need to do something" Obito said walking in "we can't sit on the side lines; not now" he said.
Naruto felt the pressure mount on his shoulders; he was the temporary Kazekage and he knew he had to act. Naruto clenched his fists and stood up; he swallowed down his nerves and spoke.
"Get Baki, the anbu and every available jonin and chunin we have" Naruto said and they all nodded "lets go save our friends" Naruto said with determination.

Now before you start complaining i will just like to say that Tsunade couldn't defeat Orochiamaru with Jiraya and Naruto helping out so there is no way in hell she can defeat Itachi especially with a Susanoo.
