Dear Diary,
I'll never forget the Night we left New York City, The Kraang and Shredder defeated us. Leo got badly hurt while fighting the Foot and Master Splinter is, gone…We lost everything.
In the skys, the Rocs were flying above a large island, nearly as big as Manhattan, with jungles, mountains, a valley, grasslands, and a village. In the Party Wagon were the New York Turtles, April, Robyn Casey, Keno, and Leatherhead, who were riding in the trailer, while following the Islander turtles rode with Ryuga.
We had nowhere to go, so when Commander Ryuga and his team rescued us from New York, they took us somewhere we could be safe: Turtle Island and The Shell Tribe.
The group looked down and were amazed at the island below them. They soon landed in front of a wooden carved gate which was the way to a large village in the tree with huts, homes, and other buildings with a statue of a turtle dragon carved in the center in a pull of water with stone walls and water rolling down from it's shell. Upon hearing them arrive many of the tribe Turtles came out of their homes and were surprised by what they saw.
I almost couldn't believe that an entire Civilization of Turtle people like the guys, existed on an unknown island that nobody knew even existed.
A female adult turtle in a white mask with a pin holding her bandanas in place and wearing white sleeves came out from an impressive building in the largest tree in the village and gasped in surprise.
"Olivier, Girls!" She cheered and raced towards them as they dismounted from Ryuga's Rok and filed out of the party wagon.
The girls beamed at the sight of the turtle, "Mom!" They cheered and rushed up to the woman and hugged her.
The woman gave some happy tears and looked at each of them, "My beautiful little girls. I thought I would never see you again," She said happily, kissing each of their heads while Olly, Naomi, and the others watched with smiles.
"Dariyasa! Are they back yet?" The family looked behind them to see an adult male turtle walking up to them, wearing a black mask, a black and gold master's coat, armor, and two large Scimitar Swords strapped to his back, and the same eagle who stole Raph's sai on his shoulder.
He had a serious look on his face until he saw the girls and it turned to shock, "My daughters," He gasped before a small smile appeared on his face.
"Father!" The girls cheered and rushed up and hugged him as the male turtle hugged back.
As Dariyasa smiled at the scene she turned to Olly and Naomi and brought them into a hug, "Welcome home my son and my protégé." She said.
"It's good to be home, Mistress," Naomi said as they broke the hug.
"Oh, you had us so worried." Dariyasa said with a relieved smile. "When you six disappeared, we searched high and low for you all."
"Trust us, it was no picnic." Olly said with a sheepishs smile
"What happened? And how did you all somehow get to the mainland of Americans?" Orimura asked while he broke the hug with his daughters. "You all suddenly vanished."
"It's a very long and complicated story." Ames said with a shrug.
"Which we will explain. But first, meet some new friends of ours." Olly said as he gestured to their New York friends, who are looking around in complete shock and amazement by the sight they are on and seeing. "Yeah, they might need a moment to process. Because this is their first time seeing a place like this."
"Mmm, it appears so." Orimura said with a nod as he approached the New Yorkers. "Greetings youngs one, I am Grand Master Orimura, Chieftain of the Shell Tribe, who among you is your leader?"
They all shook out of their shock as they gave solemn looks. "Uh, he's in the Party Wagon, but I don't think he can talk right now." Raph said in sadness as Oriumra was confused by this.
"What do you mean?" Orimura asked as he walked up to the Party Wagon, only to gasped when he saw an injured Leo lying down covered hin the blanket.
"He's out of commission." Donnie corrected solemnly as Dariyasa and some of the other tribes huddled up as Orimura picked up Leo as Dariyasa gasped and covered her mouth when she saw how badly he was hurt.
"Who did this to him?" Dariyasa asked in shock.
"There was an invasion happening in the New York mainland." Ryuga explained as he walked up to him. "I saw the entire city had been overrun by an alien race called the Kraang. This young turtle was caught in a battle with the Foot Clan, he fought valiantly but it was not enough." He said while gesturing to Leo.
"An Invasion?" Orimura asked in shock.
"We'll explain everything later, Dad." Vee said as she walked up to him and placed a comforting hand on Leo's head. "But right now, Leo needs help. Please." She pleaded with tears in her eyes.
Orimura looked at his daughter for a bit before he nodded and turned to Dariyasa. "My love, take this young warrior to a Healer's previlion immediately." He instructed as he gently gave Leo to Dariyasa.
"Yes, dear." Dariyasa said as she then carried Leo to to the Healer's previlion while Orimuria turned to the others.
"Go with them, your brother needs you all, and Olivier I have some questions for you," Orimura said to them as they nodded. "Oh, and by the way, I believe this yours," He said pulling out Raph's Sai.
"My Sai!" Raph cheered taking it back.
"Welcome to Turtle island, my friends." He said as they all gave small smiles as they followed Dariyasa where she's taking Leo, except for Olly who explained to his father what had happened while they were gone.
Orimura's welcome was a breath of fresh air after what we've been through. And their kindness is so, well kind, that we were welcomed by them. The first thing we did was take care of Poor Leonardo.
In a Healer's previlion, the others all watched as Dariyasa approached another female turtle, dressed in a crystal blue hooded cloak, a mask of the same color and markings on her body, "Harumi, my sister," Dariyasa said as Harumi bowed to her, "This young turtle is need of your gifts," She explained.
"Oh my. The poor thing." Harumi said in sympathy as she gently touched Leo's head. "Get him ready and into the healing pool." She said as Dariyasa nodded as they gently remove Leo's belt and mask as they gently placed him into a pool of clear water.
"Will, he be okay?" Robyn asked in concern.
"We'll do what we can to heal him. It will take some time, though," Dariyasa said to them with a small smile. "The healing pool will keep your friend hydrated, and it will heal him quicker then normal means."
"For how long?" April asked.
Harumi gave a frown, "Only time will tell." She said while whipping Leo's forehead, "He is suffering from more than physical wounds, his spirit has also been greatly injured."
"And the spirit takes much longer to heal, but it will in time," Dariyasa assured them. "Until then, feel free to enjoy our island." She said to them as the three brothers all looked at Leo in worry before she spoke up again. "Do not worry, Harumi is our island's greatest healer, your brother is in trusted hands." She assured them softly.
"We hope so. He's been through alot." Donnie said as they all left the previlion while Vee stood there while looking down at Leo in great concern, as well as Raph. In the days that followed, they watched Harumi caring for Leo, not moving from their spots.
Raphael and Venus each took turns keeping constant vigil over Leo, waiting for him to wake up as Harumi cared for him.
As time moves on, the others began to indulge themselves into the culture and life of the Shell Tribe, for one, Ames decided to introduce Mikey to farming as they went to feed their chickens, Mikey hummed 'Old McDonald Had a Farm' while the other farmer turtles simply worked as the two funny turtles passed them.
Ames managed to get Mikey into farming. He tends to goof around a lot, but he does a ton of chores around the island to help out.
Mikey kept spreading the feed before he noticed his bag was empty. "Ooh." He said as he shook the bag as the chickens started clucking at him, expecting more food. "Back off, chickens. That's all I got." He said as the chickens all looked at him. "Easy, easy." He said softly.
"Uh, Mikey, you better start running." Ames advises her boyfriend with a cringed look.
"Why?" Mikey asked before the chickens began to start pecking him as he screamed in pain. "Help! Aah!" He cried out before he ran away with the chickens chasing him as the farmers laughed in amusement at Mikey while Ames shook her head.
"We should've brought an extra feed." Ames said tiredly.
But mostly, Michelangelo goofs around alot.
Talena had a lab just outside her family's hut, Donatello's been using it to create a mutagenic medicine to help heal Leo.
Donnie was sitting at his decks with some lights and chemicals as well as tools around him with Tal next to him as Donnie began to mix the compound. "One last drop and I think I've done it." He said as he poured a red chemical in the mutagen, but then it exploded in his face, covered in soot as Casey, in the back of the two smart turtles, laughed at Donnie's expression while Tal gave small giggles.
"Uh, sorry, Donnie. But, it is kinda funny." Tal giggled while Donnie gave a dull look.
Casey then wheeled under an old pickup truck that washed up onto the island some time ago, thinking it could useful for when they eventually return to the city, "This baby's gonna need a lot of work," He said as he started working on it's undercarrier.
"Careful, Casey. The thing is old and those supports might-" Tal was cut off when one of the bricks titled and the truck titled, which crushed Casey as he kicked his legs wildly. "Fail." She finished with a cringed look before Donnie turned to Casey and laughed at him as karma struck Jones. "Really, Donnie?"
"What? It's like a piece of candy to me." Donnie said in defense.
Olivier and Naomi began to tell Orimura and Dariyasa, along with the Shell Tribunal all about their adventures in New York and our war with Shredder and the Kraang.
In tribe's grand council hut, Olly and Naomi explained the situation in new york to the Tribunal while Orimura and Dariyasa sat in the back on their thrones, "And once Ryuga and his rescue team arrived we managed to escape by the skin of our shells," Olly finished telling them, "At this point, the Kraang and Foot must have all of New York under their control, and they won't stop until all of Earth is turned into a reflection of Dimension X."
The elders gasped and started talking amongst themselves in worry and concern while their leaders were in deep thought, "Mmm, that is troubling, son." Dariyasa said with a grim expression. "If the Kraang proceed as you say, then no where on Earth will be safe."
"Which is why once Leonardo recovers we must return to New York and-" Naomi tried to say only for Orimura to cut her off.
"No." He said to them, which made the three shock.
"Wait, no?" Naomi asked in shock.
"Why not?" Olly asked in confusion. "Dad, if we don't stop them-"
"I am well aware that the Kraang must be stop, but can I send warriors that are doomed to fail?" Orimura questioned, surprising the three, "As you and your friends are now, you will not stand a chance against the Kraang or the Shredder."
"But all those people, all of New York, they are probably being hunted down right now." Naomi said in great concern.
"And the Kraang might be planning to spread their influence outside of the city as we speak!" Olly exclaimed.
"Which is why until Leonardo has made a full recover, you must remain here," Dariyasa explained, "Because as you are now, you are mentally, physically and spiritual unprepared for the fight ahead,"
"So you must continue your training until you are truly ready to face this invasion," Orimura finished.
Olly and Naomi looked at each other, seeing there's no way around them and sighed. "Hai, Sensei." They both said while bowing before him.
Jenny and Keno spent their time sparring with the other young ninja turtles, showing off what we've learned in New York, wanting to be ready when we go back to face the Kraang and Shredder again…if we go back.
Jenny and Keno kept sparring blows as they blocked and counter each weapons. "Watch your feet." Jenny said as she then whacked Keno's baton out of his hand, which caused him to cringed with a grunt before Jenny did a spin kick, knocking him off balance before kicking him as Keno fell to the floor. "So, what did you go wrong?"
"The Legs," Keno said while rubbing his arm.
"The Legs." Jenny confirmed with a nod. "And you've been distracted lately. You need to focus, or you won't stand a chance in the field."
"Hey, I'm still trying to adjust to the fact that we're on an island of turtles with the island itself as a giant turtle and my home just got zapped into a Kraang country." Keno retorted with a look.
"Keno, I know that it's hard to process what happened, but if you can't focus, it's gonna get you killed," Jenny said with a small frown. "Trust me, when I let my anger out, it's not pretty."
Keno sighed in understanding, "Okay, let's try this again," He said raising his fists while Jenny did the same.
Keno's been having trouble adjusting but Jenny is a great teacher for controlling her anger. No wonder Raphael likes her.
Leatherhead was a bit reluctant to interact with the Tribe at first, usually spending his time at a nearby pond. Eventually, he caught the attention of the children and they wanted to play with him; two of them, Franklin and Harriet, took a special liking to him.
Leatherhead standing around while several turtle children, around the ages of 5-9, were playing around with him, playing tag, climbing up his arms and sliding down his back and tail. One was a young boy with a red scarf and baseball cap, another was a little girl with a purple bow on her head.
"Gotcha, Harriet!" Franklin called with a smile as he tapped Harriet while sitting ontop Leatherhead back.
"Aw!" Harriet slouched in disappointment before she looked down at Leatherhead's tail and smiled, "Whee!" She cheered sliding down the Gator's back.
Leatherhead gave a small chuckle. "You two seem to be having fun, young ones."
"Yeah, Mr. Leatherhead! You are just amazing!" Harriet called with a smile as she went up in front of him. "I mean, we've only seen turtles, but since you and those others people arrived, it's great to meet new friends!"
"Yes. It is nice to know that there are others out there who don't see me as a monster." Leatherhead said with a small smile as the kids kept playing around him as he enjoyed their company.
I'm glad that Leatherhead is doing great in the social life, well, social in some ways, I guess, but I'm still proud of him.
And there us, the O'Neil sisters, April and Robyn, my sister and I spend most of our time training with our friends and writing in my ever expanding journal.
April and Robyn are sitting on by the dragon turtle statue looking out to the village while Robyn placed a hand on her sister's shoulder as she wrote in her journal about recent events and pictures of their friends and family and a town of New York above the words.
We missed New York, our Sensei, our Dad. Hopefully Leo will recover and Orimura will let us go home soon, if there's even a home to go back to.
April then draw of picture of Leo in the healing pool while his brothers and the Islander Turtles watched over him.
But life, as Master Splinter would say, 'Must continue on.'
(Three months later)
"Hajime!" Orimura called as in the Tribe's training grounds, the Turtles were sparring while Orimura observed them from the podium. Olly was paired with Naomi, Tal with Mikey, Ames with Jenny, Donnie with Casey, Keno with Robyn and Raph with April, Vee was currently at the healer's pavilion with Leo.
They kept training before Raph got close to April. "You gotta be quick to traing with the ninjas. Sorry, April." He said as he did a leg sweep kick on April, knocking her down, but then April flipped to her feet and delivered an uppercut to Raph, knocking him down as his eyes swirled.
"I'm almost a full-on Kunoichi." April said with a smirk as she crossed her arms at Raph.
"First rule of battle Raphael, never let your guard down," Naomi said with a teasing smile.
"Aw, yeah!" Mikey called as he got close to Raph. "You gotta be quick if you wanna be hanging with the ninjas, dawg."
Orimura sighed and shook his head, "Yamei!" He declared as they all stopped as Robyn gave her sister a fist bump.
But then they saw Casey and Donnie still fighting. "Sweet, moves, Donnie!" Casey complimented as he attempts to throw his hockey stick a Donnie like a boomerang, but Donnie skillfully dodges it and smirked at Casey. "Eat this!" He called and used a slingshot to hit Donnie with some rocks.
"Ow! Cheap shot!" Donnie yelled as he threw his staff at Casey, which made him drop his weapon as Donnie tackled him as they tumble around the flor and kept fighting.
Orimura shook his head with an unimpressed frown as he approached the two and jabbed his fingers under their chins causing them to cringe in pain. "You are warriors, not caged animals," Orimura said, pulling the two rivals together, "You will fight and respect each other as warriors, understood?" He questioned, increasing pressure.
"Y-Yes Sir." Both Donnie and Casey said as Orimura let them go as they took deep breaths.
"We're just blowing off a little steam, Ori-dude." Casey said.
"Yeah, thinks are just kind of tense lately." Donnie said as he wrapped Casey around his neck. "Right, old friend?"
"Got that right, old pal." Casey said as he elbowed Donnie to the gut, but Donnie kept his arm around his neck.
"We're all just a little frustration lately, father," Olly said to Orimura, approaching him. "Things have been tough for the last three months."
"Yeah, I mean no disrespect Grand Master, but we're not like your tribe," Raph spoke up. "We don't belong on an island. We belong in the sewers."
"Okay, that was entirely accurate but, uh, it's apropos." Tal said with a weird look. "Though, to be fair, this is way better than being the sewers or sticking to the shadows 24/7."
"If we focus too much on where we are not, we lose sight of where we are," Orimura told them, "You are Ninja, masters of stealth and adaptation, if you cannot survive the elements of Nature, how do you plan on liberating your city?" He questioned the NY gang.
"Yeah." Mikey said as he steps forward. "It's just like Master Splinter would say, we must accept the hand that the universe has dealt with us." He said while speaking in a tone Splinter would say.
"Wow, that's deep yo." Casey said with an impressive tone.
"Pretty wise words for you, Mikey." Keno added in agreement.
"Master Splinter's gone, Mikey, and Leo may never wake up." Raph said in annoyance with his head down. "The universe delt us a terrible hand."
Orimura frowned and placed a hand on Raph's shoulder, "Why don't you go check your brother's condition, Raphael?" He suggested as Raph gave a solemn expression and nodded before leaving the training grounds. Orimura then turned to the others, "Now, I understand this all seems frustrating, but if you are to stand a chance of overcoming the Foot Clan or the Kraang, you must take your training to beyond the physical plane."
"What does that mean?" Robyn questioned.
"You may have mastered peak physical training, but you have yet to find your inner spirtual strength." Orimura said to them as they all looked at him. "A true ninja must find their spiritual balance from within through understanding the ways of nature and overcoming the obstacles within their hearts."
"But how do we do that?" Ames asked her father.
"You will find out, in time," Orimura before putting on a serious look, "For now, we continue your basic training. Now we move onto Weaponless Combat, but seeing how we have an odd number of warriors, Casey Jones you will be prohibited from participating." He said to the Jones boy.
"What?! That's racialist, yo!" Casey called in anger before Orimura tripped him and the boy fell on the floor while the others looked at him. "You know what, I'm cool." He conceded.
"Hajime!" Orimura declared as they all began sparring again.
In the healer's previlion, Vee is sitting next to Leo, who is still in the healing pool. Vee sighed sadly as Leo still hasn't shown any signs of change as she gently brushed Leo on the head, "Come on Leo, please wake up," She pleaded, placing a gentle kiss on his head.
Harumi then came over with a scroll which she read for a moment before kneeling over Leo, taking a breath and bringing her hands together, "Rin… Pyo... Toh... Sha... Kai... Jin... Retsu... Zai... Zen…"Harumi said softly, shaping her hands with every word as a white glow covered them and she held them over Leo, "Rin… Pyo... Toh... Sha... Kai... Jin... Retsu... Zai... Zen..." She repeated as the glow spread onto Leo's body.
"What are you doing?" Vee asked as she watched Leo in awe.
"It is an ancient technique your grandmother taught me years ago: The Healing Hands," Harumi said as the glow faded from Leo, "This should quicken his healing."
"I hope so. He's been out for three months and I'm really worried," Vee said as she looked at Leo.
"He has been through a lot, But I am certain he will awaken soon." Harumi said as she and Vee turned and saw Raph coming in. "Raphael, welcome."
How's Leo doing?" Raph asked in concern while looking down at Leo.
"Pretty much the same as yesterday." Vee said sadly. "Hasn't moved an inch."
"Yeah, figures." Raph said with a sigh, looking over Leo. "Come bro, get better."
"We need you." Vee said as they kept watching over Leo while Harumi gave them sympathetic looks.
At nightfall, the others are huddled together in the grand hut of Olly's family while they brought out some pizza Mikey and Ames had made. "Alright, quiet down, everybody! It's time for my new favorite show!" Mikey excitedly said as he ate some pizza as they watched some TV Donnie and Tal hooked up as they watched a show called 'Crognard the Barbarian' in an episode called 'The Slug People'.
It showed Crognard and his team attacking a tribe of literal slug people who were actually quite peaceful and didn't show any signs of violence, but Crognard and his team attacked them viciously anyway while Mikey watches with his eyes sparkling while the others just watches.
"Why did we agree to let Mikey pick this show?" Jenny questioned.
"Eh, it is strange but it is sorta good." Tal said as she ate her pizza.
"Well, we appreciate your tribe setting up this TV and letting us stay here." April said with a smile.
"Yeah, at least we have some comforts of city life," Robyn added.
"Yeah, well, when some of the scouts go the mainland for supplies, they usually bring back a little extra something," Olly said with a small smile. "Plus, after the hospitality you guys gave us back in New York, we figure we return the favor."
"Granted, we never got the cable going right, but thanks to Donnie and Tal's brains, we finally have a way to watch the outside world." Ames said with a smile. "And something to keep ourselves entertained."
"It's like how we set up the lair when we were little," Donnie said with a shrug. "So, no surprise there."
"My friends!" Leatherhead called as they turned and saw him charging in with a smile, "Come, quickly!" he urged.
"What's wrong, Leatherhead?" Naomi asked in concern.
"Venus and Raphael have called you to the Healer's Previlion! you will all be quite pleased with what you'll find!" Leatherhead explained, which they gave them a good feeling before they rushed out.
With Vee and Raph, they looked down in joy while Harumi looked down in pride before the rest of the turtles came in and looked down to see, "Leo?" Donnie asked as Leo had finally woken up.
"Mmm, hey guys." Leo said with a weak smile, but his voice is a bit deeper.
"LEO!" Mikey and Ames cried in tears of joy as they hugged Leo.
"You're alive!" Ames cheered.
"Ow, It's okay, guys." Leo groaned as he cringed.
"Dude!" Mikey cheered next.
"Ow… Okay, that hurts." Leo muttered.
"Easy now you two. The poor boy just woke up," Harumi chuckled as she pushed them off gently and turned to Leo, "Come, let's get you out of there and I'll give you some better treatment," She said as Olivier and Raph helped Leo out of the pool.
In the New Yorker's living Hut, they all sat on the floor, chairs and cushions while Harumi checked over Leo with Vee sitting close to him, "So, we've been here for three months?" Leo asked his friends and brothers, given the rundown what happened while he was out, "I've really been out that long?" He questioned.
"You had us worried sick, Leo." Robyn said to him.
"Raph barely slept and Vee never left your side." April added while gesturing to the two turtles.
"Eh, it was nothing." Raph shrugged off while looking away to keep his pride intact.
"You were really out of it." Keno added. "The Foot must've really gone all out on you."
"So like, why does he sound different?" Casey asked while noticing Leo's voice sounds deeper.
"He sustained damage to his vocal orpheus, probably from when the Shredder struck him down," Harumi informed with a frown. "Nothing life threatening but he will sound like this from now onwards."
Leo then turned to Orimura and Dariyasa, "And thank you both for taking care of my family," He said graciously while bowing his head.
"It was the least we could do after what you've done for our children," Orimura said as he and Dariyasa returned the bow. "Your brothers and friends told us about your adventures, Leonardo. And we are impressed at your strength, wisdom and bravery as a leader. You remind me much of our son." He said while looking at Olly, who shrugged and smiled.
"Thanks." Leo said before he grunted and cringed as he cringed in pain.
"Easy, Leo." Vee said while gently holding Leo. "Your shell may have healed, but you're not fully recovered yet."
"Here, take some more of my special patented mutagen medicine." Donnie said as he held up a vile of mutagen with Leo's name on it and poured some in a spoon. "You'll be healed in no time." He said as he fed it to Leo, but the blue-clad turtle groans in disgust and clutches his stomach as the others turned to him in concern.
"Ugh, that tastes like it's supposed to come out of me, not go into me." Leo said in disgust.
"Yeah, sorry, Leo." Tal apologized. "We couldn't figure out the flavor, but at least it will heal you faster. Be glad it's not mutating you."
"Lucky me," Leo groaned sarcastically.
Orimura then kneeled down infront of Leo with a hand on his shoulder, "Tomorrow, we will begin your training," He told the boy with a smile, "You will need a perfect balance of exercise and rest if you are to regain your full strength,"
"Not without us, you're not," Olly said with a smile as he and Raph stepped up.
"We'll have you on your feet in no time, buddy." Raph said with a smile as Leo gave a small smile, knowing he could always count on his friends to help him.
The next morning, Orimura, Raph, Olly, and Leo, who had a crutch but not his mask, were in their Ninja gear and hiking across the forest as the blue turtle struggled to keep up, "Come on boys, the journey to healing always starts with the first step," Orimura said as they came to a creak and he jumped across the river with a flip, "Alright now it's your turn, use whatever means necessary to cross this river." He instructed.
"Okay, Leo. Let's go." Olly said to him as he and Raph stepped on some rocks. "This should be easy for you to try."
"You've gotta buld up those muscles you've gotten super weak." Raph added.
"Don't rub it in." Leo said weakly as he grunted and fell to the ground as the three turned to him in concern as Leo held his leg. "I don't think I'm, I don't think I'm ever gonna be the same again." He said hopelessly.
Olly however furrowed his brow, "I don't know what happened to you, but the Leonardo who led us into battle against Shredder's mutant flunkies would never talk like that," He said firmly.
"Yeah! Now come on, let's cross this creak!" Raph encouraged as Leo got on his feet and crutch again while looking down at his reflection before he yelped in pain.
"Maybe take another sip of that medicine, Leo." Olly advised as Leo nodded and took out the medicine and drank some, before sticking his tongue out in disgust as he watched Olly and Raph crossing the river, but he felt dizzy, which got their attention.
"Leonardo?" Orimura asked in concern as Leo's vision blurred.
"Bro?" Raph called, his voice sounding distorted while Leo held up his medicine.
"Oh man," Leo moaned, dropping the vial, "I think I'm gonna-" Leo was cut off as he turned around and vomited.
The three rushed to him in concern when they saw his puke was all over some flowers. "You okay, Leo?" Raph asked in concern.
"I think it was that medicine Donnie and Tal gave me," Leo said as he clutched his stomach. "I'm not feeling too good."
"I knew we should've given you proper medicine," Olly muttered while placing a hand over his face.
"Alright, enough training for today. Let's get you back to the village." Orimura said while helping Leo up, "You need to rest, Leonardo. We can try again tomorrow," He said as they walked off, not realizing that Leo's puke held some residual mutagen inside as it sank into the roots of the flowers and into the earth as two green eyes glowed.
That Night, everyone was relaxing at the hut, Leo sat by the fireplace as Dariyasa brought some tea for him, "Thinking about your Master, Leonardo?" She asked him, passing a cup to him.
"Y-Yeah." Leo said as he slowly accepted his cup. "I just can't stop thinking that maybe Master Splinter could still be alive." He said hopefully.
"We saw it happen," Donnie said solemnly, "Shredder threw him down a drain pipe."
"No one could survive that," Tal added.
April looked at them, "Maybe Leo right, I mean Splinter was a great Ninja Master," She said optimistically.
"One of the greatest in his century," Raph added with his arms crossed.
"We know it can be tough, but whether he's still out there or not, we must continue on." Olly said to them. "Even with Splinter gone, at least we have his teachings in us. And the picture I managed to save from the lair." He said while gesturing to Splinter's family picture on the counter with two candles on either side it.
Orimura then looked at them, "Young ones, Time and Space can never destroy the bonds that hold a family together," He said encouragingly, "You all will see your Master again, I know it." He assured as they all smiled at him.
"You know, Orimura, you kinda remind us of Master Splinter at times." Leo said with a small smile.
"Years of experience of leading a tribe and learning the ancient ways of Hamato tends to teach you a few things, my son." Orimura said with a nod.
"Hey, dudes! The show is starting!" Mikey excitedly said as he looked at the TV which showed the Crognard show again, but then the TV shut down as the fireplace went out, which made Mikey knelt down and whined.
"Aw man. You gotta be kidding me!" Keno complained as Mikey kneeled before the tv whimpered for it to turn back on.
"It's just a blown fuse." Donnie waved off as he and Tal stood up.
"We'll try and fix it in two shakes of a turtle's tail." Tal assured them.
Then suddenly the torches and fires throughout the village went out, "Hmm, odd," Olly said suspiciously as he examined the wood, "The wood doesn't usually burn out so quickly."
"Eh, must've been the wind." Raph waved off as Donnie turned his flashlight on. "Maybe we just need more firewood. I'll go into the woods and get some more." He said before flashlight buried out.
"Are you kidding?" Donnie said in annoyance.
Orimura hummed and looked at them, "Raphael, take the wood gathers and into the forest, the rest of you help the village restock their fires." He ordered.
"Hai, Grand Master." The young ones all said.
Leonardo looked crestfallen as Orimura turned to him, "As for you Leonardo, you are coming with me," He said before walking out of the hut, "There is something we must take care of,"
Leo blinked confusedly before following the old master.
In the woods, Raph and the Wood Gather team were cutting new logs of firewood and loading them up.
"Just a few more logs Raphael," One turtle said as he carried four logs to the wagon, "Then we can head back."
"I hope so. Being this out at night in the woods gives me the heebie jeebies." Raph said as he took a breather before he felt something moved past him. "What was that? Who's there?" he called He wondered as something grabbed the wood gather
Then coming out of the trees was just a deer, which saw them before running off. "It's okay, Raphael, it's just a deer. We saw it come and go as it pleases." Another turtle assured him.
"R-Right. Got it." Raph said before he kneeled down and gathered the wood. "I gotta stop being paranoid."
"Have you ever been the woods before, Raph?" The first turtle asked as a shadow appeared behind them. "I mean, from what we learned, you and your brothers have known nothing but city life, correct?"
"Well, we were living in the sewers for 15 years. And to be honest, it's kinda hard to be social or go around when the only people up there see you as freaks." Raph said as he stood up.
The second turtle nodded in understand, "I suppose that's…" She trailed off when she saw what was behind Raph, "Um, Raphael?" She said nervously as the first turtle dropped the log he was holding in shock.
"What?" Raph asked as they pointed behind him, which he turned and then screamed in fear as vines wrapped around him and the two turtles as they all screamed as a creature happened to be a plant like creature with glowing veins with a farmer's vest as he placed his hand over on Raph.
Several hours passed, and the Wood Gatherers had yet to return so the village sent out a search party, "RAPH!" Mikey yelled out in the village plaza, "He's been gone for hours! RAPH!" He called again.
"Raph! Can you hear us?!" Casey yelled out next.
"Don't you think he'd answer?" April questioned.
"The wood gatherers aren't back either." Olly said with deep concern. "Something is wrong."
"Yeah, and knowing them or Raph, they have never been gone this late." Jenny said in concern. "Maybe they got lost?"
"No, Mathis and Miko know these woods better than any turtle," Dariyasa said in suspicion, "This is something else."
"Okay, we split up and find them." Olly spoke up. "April, Robyn, Keno, and Casey, you guys take that way. Donnie, Mikey, Ames, Tal, and Jenny, you guys take that way." He instructed.
"Split up?!" Ames asked in fright.
"ARe you loco, homey?" MIkey questioned.
"We split up in the woods? In the Dark?" Donnie questioned Olly.
"Donnie, Mikey, Ames, Tal, and Jenny, you take that way." Olly firmly repeated as they groaned in frustration before they moved to the direction.
"What about the rest of you?" April asked.
"Naomi, Vee, Mother, Leatherhead and I will wait in the village if Raph, Mathis and Miko come back." Olly said to them. "Besides, we should wait until Leo gets back with Dad. To try and get Leo's spirit up."
"Yeah, Leo might need our support. He is not himself lately." Vee said in agreement with a worried look.
"Well, good point." Robyn said to them in understanding. "Okay, guys, let's go." He said as two groups split up into different directions.
With Leo and Orimura, they walked through a clear path in the woods until reaching a cave carved in the shape of Dragon head, "Welcome to The Forger's Cave," Orimura told Leo.
Leo looked amazed but also confused, "Why are we here?" He asked as Orimura gestured for him to follow him inside. As they walked in, Leo saw on the walls many different weapons, ores and metals needed for weapons.
In the cave, working by a fire pit was figure pounding away on some metal and only stopped as he turned, revealing himself an Old greyish green turtle with a blacksmith apron, googles and leather gloves, "Well, well. Pleasure to see ya again, Chief," the old blacksmith said with a chuckle.
Orimura turned to Leo, "Leo, this is Old Charles. Master weapons smith of the island," He introduced, gesturing to the older turtle, "Every weapon on this island was made by him,"
"R-Really?" Leo asked in surprise.
"You bet yer shell, youngster." Charles said with a smile. "From silverwear to weaponry, you'll find I'll make anything out of nothing."
"Huh, that's interesting." Leo said with an impressive smile before turning to Orimura. "But why have you brought me here?"
"Why, to help you regain something you've lost," Orimura said with a small smile, which confused Leo as he placed a shoulder over him. "You are quite skilled with the katana blade, correct?"
"Yeah I was," Leo confirmed before looking down, "But, I lost them when the Shredder," He trailed off as the memory of when Shredder struck him, flashed through his mind causing him to wince.
Orimura kneeled down at him. "It is alright. It can be difficult to recover from a scar of the spirit, but the least you could do is learn from it and become stronger. And the first step would be replacing your Katanas."
Charles then brought out a scroll with burnt edges and unrolled it to show several different kinds of swords, "Take your pick, and we'll start forging," He said as Leonardo looked over the swords designs.
Somewhere in the woods, the four human teens walked through the woods as April looked uneasy. "I've always hated going out into the woods at night." April said uneasy.
"Yeah, back at our old farmhouse you always insisted on bringing your teddy bear when we go outside because the boogeyman was waiting to eat you," Robyn teased her little sister.
This made Keno and Casey chuckle in amusement while April blushed in embarrassment. "You promised you wouldn't tell!" She gritted her teeth.
"What, you brought it up." Robyn said with a chuckle before branch came down in front of them, which the two girls screamed in fright and hug the boys in comfort before the boys used the flashlights to just show a spooky tree with a bat flying out.
"It's just a bat in a tree," Keno said dully. "There are no monsters out here,"
"Unless you count Casey Jones as a monster." Casey bragged as he made a wolf howl before April hit him in the gut. "Nice. Good arm." He groaned.
"Can't say you had it coming," Robyn said to him as they continued on, passing an abandoned farm with a scarecrow standing.
"So, what's yoour deal, girls. You two have been cold as ice to us ever since we left New York." Casey noted about the O'Neil girls expressions lately.
"Take it easy, Case," Keno told his best friends, "They just lost their dad and their home."
"Yeah, they're most likely mutated," Robyn added with a look.
"And New York is is alien…" April trailed off as she clutched her head.
"Sis, what's wrong?" Robyn asked.
"You're getting some bad vibes again?" Casey asked in concern.
"I-I thin…. Something's watching us." April said as they looked around.
"In that case, let's keep moving." Keno said as they continued on, not seeing the Scarecrow was gone.
With the turtles, they are searching through the woods searching for Raph, Miko, and Mathis. "Raph! RAPH!" Mikey called out to his brother.
"Can you be quiet, Mikey?" Tal questioned in annoyance. "If that was gonna work, we would've heard from Raph by now."
"Well, do you think they got lost? Maybe they got eaten by rapid squirrel." Mikey said fearfully.
"We do not think that, no, Mikey." Donnie said in annoyance.
"I don't think they'll be eaten like that, Mikey," Ames said while placing an assuring hand on Mikey's shoulder. "They could be close by. The island may be big, but we will find them eventually."
"Well, if you were a hot-headed ninja turtle, where would you be?" Jenny asked.
They kept searching until Donnie saw something. "Hey, what's this?" He asked as the others came to him and saw all tool shed in front of them as the door creaked open and then closed.
"That's a tool sheld, all the way in the woods?" Tal said in surprise.
"Let's check it out," Mikey said before he and Ames stopped and patted their three respective siblings forward.
"You three first." They both said while the others gave dull looks. They opened the door as they looked inside.
"Uh, hello? Anyone in here?" Jenny asked as the five turtles searched around and only saw some tools around the shed.
"This place seems empty," Tal noted that before she saw Leo's medicine on the table, it was surrounded by some candles, like a shrine. "Leo's medicine?" She asked in surprise.
"What's it doing here?" Donnie wondered before the two were grabbed by the necks and pulled by Ames and Mikey as the two, and Jenny, looked with wide eyes while Jenny quickly covered their mouths as she slowly raised her flashlight to what was in front of them as their eyes widened.
They were three bush-like creatures that growled slightly, which made them even more nervous. "Uh, hello?" Ames squeaked before the three green bushes came to life, with each of them wearing familiar masks as they roared.
The turtles screamed in horror as the monsters roared at them and tried to attack them; the five ran out of the shack in fear. Fortunately, there were vine-like roots attached to the creatures' legs, keeping them in the shed.
"What are those things!?" Ames exclaimed in complete horror.
Jenny squinted and noticed a familiar red mask on one of them and gasped in horror, "N-No, it, it can't be. Raph?" She said in worry.
"That's Raph?!" Ames exclaimed in shock as Tal noticed the other two monsters between him and saw their masks as well.
"Miko?! Mathis?!" Tal called in complete shock at seeing two of their Wood Gathers and Raph like this.
"They're all leafy and weird looking, like a salad!" Mikey said in shock.
"Something must have infected them." Donnie said worried.
"But what?" Jenny asked in shock. "Who would do this to them?!" She asked in worry before Mikey was caught in some vines from above.
"Ahh! Holy Chalupa!" Mikey screamed as a vine trap restrained him and covered his mouth.
"Mikey!" Ames called out as she and the others rushed up to him.
"Hold on! I'll cut you down!" Donnie said, taking out his staff as a huge figure towered above them.
Mikey was muffled and tried warning him of the monster behind them. "What?" Tal asked as she then turned around and screamed in fear just before the monster punched her to a tree.
"Tal!" Donnie called before the monster grabbed both him and Ames, slamming them together and knocking them out.
"Guys!" Jenny screamed in fear right as the monster towered over her. "Oh Sewercakes." She muttered before she was pushed to a tree and with a pitchfork jabbing the ends of her mask, trapping her to a tree. She frantically tried removing the pitchfork but watched in horror as the monster was towering over her.
With the four human teens, they were walking nearby and they heard Jenny scream in terror.
"That's Jenny!" Robyn said worried. "She only scream like that if something really bad has happened." She said.
"Well, let's find them!" April declared as the four ran up ahead. She, Keno, and Robyn continued to run ahead until they noticed Casey was gone somehow.
"Case?" Keno asked while he and the two girls are looking around. "Jones, where'd you go?"
"Casey, if this is a prank it's not funny!" April exclaimed in worry.
"AHH!" Casey screamed as they turned around and saw the monster pinning him by a tree.
"Oh no.." April said worried as the monster lifted him up.
"Let go of me!" Casey demanded as he tried breaking free, the monster turned its head around and he saw a single eye in the bag.
"What is that?! Johnny the 13th?!" Robyn questioned in horror.
"Whatever it is, it's going down!" Keno called as he ready his batons and whacked the monster, hardly phased by it as it slowly turned to Keno, who looked scared by seeing his eye. "Or maybe not." He said before he was swatted away and shot vines at him, tying him to a tree.
April screamed in anger as she whacked the monster with one of Casey's sticks and set him free. The bag fell off the monster and they saw it trying to hide it's face. April took out her fan and threw it at the monster's head, but it barely did anything as it rose up and ripped it out.
April, realizing her mistake took a step back only to scream when the monster wrapped her in vines while her fan fell next to her. "April!" Robyn called as she tackled and elbowed the monster, who quickly grabbed her and tossed her to a tree, which she hit as she was knocked out and fell to the floor.
"Goongala!" Casey screamed as he jumped in the air and hit it with his bat. Casey tried swinging his bat at the monster again and again giving April the chance to grab her fan, Casey swung at him one more time before the monster caught it. "Aw man!" Casey said in worry as the monster picked him up and threw him to a tree and knocked off his mask which the monster eyed.
"Casey!" April shouted worried as he was knocked out, the monster marched over to her now wearing Casey's mask and was holding a pitchfork.
April looked terrified and ran for her life, the monster chased after her, walking fast and creepily as the girl tried to make it back to the village. April looked behind her, thinking she lost the creature only for her to somehow bump right into it as she down and trembled in fear while whimpering.
Back in the village, Olly was pacing around, looking concerned while Naomi, Vee, Dariyasa and Leatherhead watched him, "Ugh, they should've been back by now," Olly said in worry before giving a determined look to the forest, "I'm going after them,"
"Not until your father and Leonardo have returned," Dariyasa said firmly.
"But what if they've been caught too?" Olly asked anxiously.
"Who would've been caught too?" Everyone turned and saw Orimura approaching them with Leonardo hobbling behind him.
Vee and Olly smiled in relief, "Father!/Leo!" They said before running up to them while Dariyasa gave a breath of relief.
Vee rushed up to Leo while Olly came up to his father. "What took you guys so long? You've been out of sight for almost the night." Olly said to them.
"Forgive us, but Leonardo was preparing a surprise for you," Orimura said while gesturing to Leo, "Show them the results of your blood and sweat,"
Leo nodded before he dropped his crutch as he grabbed a pair of handles on his back and pulled out his new katanas. "Uh, so, what do you think, guys?" He asked as they all looked at him surprised.
"Leo, your swords!" Vee smiled in amazement.
"B-But how?" Olly asked in surprise. "Your swords were broken back in New York during your fight with Shredder and the Foot."
"Well, let's just say that Grandmaster Orimura showed me how recovering involves craftsmenship." Leo said while using his swords to support him. "Took a bit of labor and tons of sweat, but I managed to make me a new pair swords."
"Very impressive, Leonardo." Naomi complimented while inspecting the designs. "They are like the ones you had before, only forged with spiritual steel," She noted, as she saw the dragon engravings on the blades.
"Yeah, good thing I have a photographic memory of them." Leo said with a small chuckle. "And I thought I add a little bit of design from what Grandmaster Orimura suggested."
"It's good to see you back up in spirit, Leonardo." Leatherhead said with a smile.
"True. But, I still don't know if I could be up for training yet." Leo said while looking down at his leg. "My leg still hurts though."
Vee then got down and placed a hand on his shoulder. "But it's a start, Leo." She said softly. "You fought through the pain making your swords and you can fight through the pain of training too." She encouraged.
"You think so?" Leo asked unsurely.
Vee wrapped her arms around his neck, "I know so," She said warmly.
Leo was surprised by this as he smiled softly and returned the hug while the others gave small smiles at the two before they heard groans as they turned and saw April limping towards them. "April?" Naomi asked in surprise.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Olly asked before a vine grabbed April by the legs and tripped her over.
"Guys!" April cried out as she reached her arm out to them.
They all rushed towards her frantically, "What happened?! Where are the others?!" Vee called, grabbing April's hands as whatever was controlling the vines was pulling April in.
"Plant mutant! The others captured!" April said, desperately trying to hold onto Vee, but she was being dragged along with April further to the woods. "Don't let go!"
"Ugh! Trying!" Vee called before she lost her grip, "NO!" She yelled.
"HELP!" April yelled before she was dragged back into the darkness of the forest.
"April!" Leo and the others called out in terror.
"What on Earth was that?!" Dariyasa asked in complete shock.
"Some kind of plant creature." Naomi said in dread. "But where did it come from?"
"Well, whatever it is, it's got the others!" Olly said with anger. "We gotta go rescue them before that thing does whatever it might do to them!"
"Agreed," Orimura said while drawing his sword, "Dariyasa and Leatherhead, stay here and guard the village should that creature come for our people," He instructed as the white-clad turtle and alligator nodded in agreement, "Olivier, Venus, Maolier and Leonardo, you four come with me to rescue the others,"
"Yesh, father/Grand Master." Olly, Vee and Naomi said while Leo was surprised by this.
"B-But Grand Master, I can barely stand, let alone fight." Leo said to him. "I only just woke up yesterday from a three month coma. I'll only get in the way." He would have said more before Dariyasa placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Leonardo, how do you know what you are truly capable of without even trying?" She questioned with a motherly smile. "You shouldn't let the pain define who you are. Because you are who you choose to be. And what are you when your family is in danger?" She added, lifting up her other hand and showing Leo his blue mask.
Leo looked down for a moment before slowly accepting his mask before he gave a determined expression. "I'm the guy who's gonna rescue them, no matter what." He said seriously as he put his mask back on and retracted his swords and grabbed his crutch as he turned to the others. "Let's get our family back." He said as the others smiled at him.
Donnie came too and found himself suspended in the air. He looked around and saw he was in the shed with his staff and the others' weapons on the ground before turning to Jenny, Tal, Ames, and Mikey as they shook their heads silently before Donnie turned down and saw the plant-infected Raph Mathis, and Miko growling and swatting them around.
"E-Easy, Raph! Try and remember! Mike and I are your brothers!" Donnie pleaded to Raph as they swayed around.
"Mathis, Miko, please! Snap out of it!" Tal told the two Wood gatherers, "Just calm down! We're your friends!"
"Yeah! You could come home with us and live in the attic!" Ames said to them.
"I'll give you three gross water every single day! I swear!" Mikey finished as the three turtle-turned plants then purred with smiles before they started panting like dogs.
"Yeah, there we go." Jenny said in relief as Raph approached her and gave her nuzzle, "Yeah, yeah, I love you too, Hothead," she said amusedly.
Then the door slammed open, scaring the turtles out their shells as the Plant monster stomped in, "AHH! It's The Creep!" Ames cried out in fear while Raph, Mathis and Miko backed away in fear.
"That's what me and Ames named him." Mikey whispered to Donnie as the Creep came in while holding Robyn, April, Casey, and Keno wrapped in vines.
"Guys!" Tal exclaimed as the Creep put the four humans down and looked at Raph, Miko, and Mathis as they whimpered in fear as the Creep walked towards them and grab hold of Raph's head, who started whimpering.
"Hey! Leave him alone! You put him down right now!" Jenny yelled as the Creep lifted Raph up as the petals on the vines started resonating.
"W-What's going…" Casey asked as he came to before he saw something that made his eyes widened as a glow of green brightens the room. "Guys! Wake up!" He called as he kicked the others awake as they looked up and saw what the Creep was doing to Raph.
Raph kept whimpering and mutagen color mist came out of Raph and into the Creep while Raph shrunk a little bit.
"Raph!" Mikey yelled.
"What's it doing to him?!" Ames questioned while Mathis and Miko backed away fearfully.
"It's… It's feeding off of him!" Tal said fearfully.
"Like… Mutagentic Fertlizer!" Donnie added as the mutagen mist continued to travel up the Creep, making him bigger and powerful as more plants grew on him while Raph kept shrinking. "No! No, no! RAPH!" He cried out.
The Creep opened his plant hands as Raph's mask came out as it landed on a flower where he stood between Miko and Mathis as they all gasped while the two turtle-turned plants whimpered.
"You turned my boyfriend into a plant!" Jenny called out as she glared at the Creep with angry tears, "You turned my boyfriend into a PLANT!" She screamed in rage. The Creep stretched a bit as he made his way to Miko and Mathis, who whimpered as they tried to back away as far as their vines could take them. "Let'em go, Creep! Or I'll bash that mutagen right out of your roots!" She threatened as the Creep was about to drain Miko and Mathis of their mutagen, but he stopped when something interrupted him.
"Help!" Leo's voice called out, which got the Creep's attention. "Help!" He called again as the Creep turned away from them and walked out of the door with a pitchfork
"Leo." Donnie said in worry.
The Creep searched around for Leo before a throwing star hit him in the back, making turn to see him, Orimura, Vee, Olly, and Naomi as the four turtles glared at them. "Give us back our family, freak." Leo threatened.
"Or we'll show you what we do to parasitic plants." Olly added as the Creep walked up to them, which made Leo dropped his clutch as Orimura, Vee, Olly and Naomi drew their weapons, but Leo saw his stance and made his swords face forward.
"Remember what we planned." Orimura said as the four dodged a stab from the pitchfork as they circled the Creep and started hitting him as many times, but when Leo blocked a strike, he lost one of his swords an dodged the pitchfork when the Creep threw it before he slashed at it, causing the Creep to stagger back and lost Casey's mask.
"Nice hit, Leo!" Olly called before the Creep grabbed him and lifed him up.
"Olivier!/Olly!" The others cried out as the Creep showed his really disorted plant face as it roared at Olly and whacked him around like a ragdoll and tossing him away before he hit the forest floor.
"Okay. Should've seen that coming." Olly said before he turned and saw the Creep stomping up to him while holding up his axe. "And that's even worse." He said as he staggered back a bit. Before the Creep could get any further, Olly saw Leo's clutch and quickly grabbed it and stabbed it through the Creep's head, which caused it to groan in pain and fall to his back while trying to get the clutch off as the others rushed up to him.
"Son, are you alright?" Orimura asked as he and Naomi helped him up while Vee was supporting Leo.
"I'll live," Olly said before turning to the Creep, "He won't stay down forever, come on," He said as they headed back to the shed.
Once they entered, the others saw the four. "Guys!" April said in relief.
"Boy, are we glad to see you four!" Robyn said in relief before the four turtles saw Miko, Mathis, and what's left of Raph.
"What on earth are those?" Naomi asked in shock at seeing Miko, Mathis, and the remains of Raph in that state.
"It's Raph, Miko, and Mathis!" Donnie quickly said. "Long story. Quick, get us out of here!"
The four nodded as they used their weapons and sliced the others free while Vee went up to Miko and Mathis, who whimpered in fear as they backed away. "Easy, it's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you two." Vee said softly as she slowly approached the two turtle-turned plants and gently rubbed them, which they purred at the touch. "Yeah, that's it. It's okay." She said softly
"How did that monster turned Raphael, Mathis, and Miko into these?" Orimura questioned seriously.
"It's hard to explain now, dad." Jenny said before they saw the Creep recovering as they all screamed in horror. "But now's not the best time to explain!"
"Quick, barricade the door!" Leo called as they all grab some equipment and shut the door as they barricade it as they all stood ready with their weapons raised while keeping Mathis and Miko behind them as they whimpered.
After a few moments, the Creep burst through one of the side walls as they all screamed when they saw it before Casey howled and whacked the monster many times before the Creep grabbed his remaining stick and snapped it in half. "Aw, dude!" He complained.
"Booyakasha!" Mikey screamed as he whacked him over and over again and kicked him in the face, everyone got more tools from the shack and used each one to hack the monster apart while violently attacking it.
"Take that you ugly pile of mud and grass!" Jenny called as she slashed at it.
They all took heavy breaths before Olly looked down and saw the goo before his eyes widened. "Uh, Leo, I think this thing is made from your breakfast this morning." Olly said as they all looked down and saw a familiar substance that came out from the Creep that only he, Leo, and Orimura knew what it was.
"Wait, but that would mean…" Leo started in shock.
"That would explain why your medicine is here." Orimura said while gesturing to Leo's medicine vial.
"What are you guys talking about?" Keno asked in confusion while the others were wondering the same thing.
"Uh, well, Donnie, Tal, let's just say that the mutagenic medicine you made for Leo, still had a slight mutation in it." Olly said with a sheepish look. "Just this morning, Leo puked on some plants and dropped the vial."
"Which explains why I was feeling a bit worse at the time." Leo said while still using his sword for support.
"So this thing was made by…" Mikey started slowly.
"Yes." Olly, his father, and Leo confirmed as they cringed back in disgust.
"Okay, that's just gross." Vee said in disgust.
"Well, at least it's down." Robyn said as they looked at the Creep before it's eyes glowed and started moving again. "I stand corrected!" She cried before the four humans were knocked back and the turtles, except for Leo, Olly, and Orimura were tossed out of the shed as the Creep reattached his arm.
"That thing sure is tough." Olly said before the Creep whacked them, which Olly and Orimura dodged, but Leo was pushed back to the desk next to his medicine as it tilted a bit, which made the Creep nervous.
Leo saw this and had an idea. He grabbed the vial and held it up, waving it around as the Creep moved to follow it. "Olly, think fast!" He called as he threw the vial, which Olly caught it.
"I see where you're going, Leo!" Olly called as he waved the vial to the Creep. "Hey, you want it back? Come and get it!" He called as he rushed out the door with the Creep following before seeing Doonie. "Donnie, catch!" He called, throwing the vial to Donnie.
Donnie caught it as the Creep came to him, which got him to screamed as he ran off and threw it to Mikey. Orimura saw 'Keep away' from the shed as he think of a way to contain the Creep before seeing some chains behind them. "Guys, grab the chains!" He ordered to those in the shed with him.
Otuside, someone picked up the pitchfork as Mikey grabbed the vial, but some vines grab hold of him as the Creep grab him by the head and taken the vial back, but then Vee lifted Leo up, who gave a battle cry as he stab the vial with the pitchfork, shattering it while also stabbing the Creep before the humans used the chains to tie him up to the tree.
"That's what you get for messing with my mask, freak!" Casey snarled to the Creep.
Orimura gave an approved nod, "Excellent work young ones," He complimented before sneering at the Creep, "Now, after you've cured Mathis, Miko and Raphael, get this creature off my island," He ordered.
"Don't worry, we will," Donnie said to him. "Let's take him back to the village."
"Do you really think you and Tal could save Raph, Mathis, and Miko?" Jenny asked the two smart turtles, hopefully.
"Honestly, we don't know, Jenny," Tal said in complete honesty. "But we'll have to try." She promised as they watched the Creep struggle to break free from its chains.
Sometime later, Raph woke up with a groan as his friends looking down at him with huge smiles. "Yes!" Donnie cheered while Jenny smiled brightly.
"It's worked!" Tal said in huge joy as Mikey got between them with a frown.
"Oh no, Raph," He said in horror, "Look at him! It's terrible!" He exclaimed.
Tal and Donnie looked confused, "What do you mean he's perfectly normal," Donnie stated.
Jenny rolled her eyes before pulling out Raph's mask and putting it over his eyes, "How about now?" She asked.
"How about now, Mikey?" Jenny questioned as Mikey took a closer look.
"Phew. Yeah, way better." Mikey said with a smile before Raph pushed him aside as he stood up.
"What… the heck is going on?" Raph asked as he saw the others huddled around him in Donnie and Tal's lab.
"That cazy swamp monster sucked out your mutagen and turned you into a plant, dude!" Casey explained. "It was awesome!"
"Wait, what about Miko and Mathis?" Raph asked while rubbing his head. "They were with me when that thing attacked. Are they okay?"
"We're fine, Raphael." Mathis' voice said as Raph turned and saw him and Miko sitting across the room on their respective beds, now fully back to normal.
"We were lucky that creature only infected us before draining our mutagen." Miko said while rubbing her head. "You on the other shell, not so much."
"But we use this I.V tube to drain all the mutagen out of the Creep and back into your bodies," Tal said while showing the I.V tube.
"Cool, right?" Donnie asked with a smile. "Killed off the infection like a bad case of shellacne."
"Uh, cool. Thanks, guys." Raph thanked them. "So, what happened to the monster?"
"It got turned back into swamp goo when it was drained." Keno said while gesturing to a jar of green goo, which is the remains of the Creep. "Pretty wild, right?"
'Donnie and Tal worked all night to save you three. Leo and Jenny never left your side, Raph." April said to him, which surprised Raph as he turned to the two turtles, who gave him small smiles.
"That's what brothers are for." Leo said with a smile.
"And what girlfriends are for." Jenny finished as she and Leo walked up to Raph and Leo offered his hand.
"We gotta heal up, Raph. We have a city to take back." Leo said with a determined smile.
"It's gonna be a long road," Jenny reminded them.
"But we will get stronger," Vee said confidently.
"And then someday we will return to save New York," Olly declared.
"I give that a big. Fat. Sloppy wet-" Mikey said before he was knocked aside by Leatherhead.
"BOOYAKASHA!" Leatherhead roared proudly while the others looked on with smiles, finding it amusing but inspiring that someday, they'll take back New York.
Later that night with everyone sleeping, in the lab, the jar that contains the Creep started glowing as it cracked a bit, not knowing when or how, but someday, the Creep will return and seek revenge.
In case you haven't realized it yet, Ryuga, Harumi Old Charles, Mathis, and Miko are my OCs, while Orimura and Dariyasa belong to Propimol. And of course, Franklin and Harriet are OCs inspired by a favorite tv show of mine growing up. A little tid-bit, Orimura, Dariyasa, Harumi and Ryuga's mask colors symbolize the Four Symbols from Eastern Mythology:
Azure Dragon of the East; Harumi, Vermillion Bird of the South; Ryuga, White Tiger of the West; Dariyasa and Black Tortoise of the North; Orimura.
If any of you have any suggestions for future chapters and character appearance, don't hesitate to post them in the comments.
