"You have a pizza delivery today." Vector The Crocodile stated to Silver The Hedgehog as the green crocodile was checking out the cash register.
Silver held his slice of pepperoni pizza halfway with his right hand as he turned to Vector. "Today? Can't it be tomorrow? I already have a lot going on."
Vector rubbed the back of his head with his right hand as he faced Silver. "Well, if you want me to dock your pay for not willing to do a delivery..."
"Okay, maybe I'll reconsider it." Silver remarked as he finished eating up his slice of pizza, moving his hands around. "Any place where they said the pizza to be delivered to?"
Vector pulled out a white card as he handed it to Silver. "The first place is this burning city called the Crisis City. It's some apocalyptic city in ruins from the future, or something. The second is somewhere near the Speed Highway."
"C-Crisis City!?" Silver exclaimed in horror as his entire body turned whiter than usual, causing him to faint as his right eye twitched.
Vector glanced down at Silver, shrugging as he shook his head, proceeding to keep on checking the cash register.
Later on, still in the Station Square from Sonic Adventure, Silver was at him apartment, having been taken there by Vector himself, hoping that the psychic using hedgehog would recover from a good night's sleep. Silver groaned as he woke up slowly, stretching out his arms as he looked around, to see that he was in his bedroom.
"Ahh... my apartment..." Silver remarked as he stretched his arms, "I must have had a really bad dream, or something..."
Silver the noticed a white card on his alarm clock, picking it up and squinting to read the words on it. He noticed that it had a pizza delivery marked down, one for Crisis City and another for the Speed Highway. Silver then gasped as he remembered why he fainted, and he screamed as he ran into his shower, using the water blasting out of the shower head to douse him in an attempt to knock some senses out of him.
But seeing as this was Silver, it didn't work.
"You know what this place needs?" Vector stated to Knuckles The Echidna as both of them were at the Pizza Hut, with it being the evening as Vector was running the Pizza Hut himself on the account that Silver was forced into pizza delivering.
"What?" Knuckles asked as he munched on a slice of black olives topped pizza, leaning over the green counter near the cash register.
"...A water cooler." Vector stated as he snapped his fingertips. "I mentioned it to Silver, but I don't think he was really listening to me on account of working out the pizza dough."
Knuckles' eyes lit up as he moved his left hand around, his right hand on his hip. "Really? What for?"
"...So that we could get some talking goin' on." Vector stated as he stretched his lanky green arms. "Gets a little boring when you're in the office and the only other person working here is in the kitchen."
Knuckles shrugged as he faced Vector. "Well, okay, if that's what you want so much."
"Great! I'll look into it." Vector remarked as he pulled out a notepad out of thin air and began writing down on it, with Knuckles shrugging as he headed into the bathroom to wash himself off.
Much to his dismay, Silver found a warp portal that took him to the burning Crisis City, where everything was on fire and things were bleaker than the lava flowing all over the place. Silver did not want to do it, but not only did he had honor and respect for the codes of the working order at Pizza Hut, he did not want to disappoint Vector as both a boss and a friend. Even if it meant going to a place as hellish as the Crisis City.
"Oh man... why did I think this was a good idea to come here...?" Silver remarked as he shook his head, screaming as he was nearly burnt by a huge lava stream emerging right in front of him, sweating nervously as he wiped his forehead with his left arm. "This is no place for a young humanoid animal like me to be!"
Alas, Silver was forced to press on, as he had a pizza to be delivered, with the evil crystallized Mephiles The Dark watching him from within the shadows of a burning skyscraper.
"Yes... press onward, you fool..." Mephiles laughed evilly as he tapped his crystallized fingertips together, enjoying the sight of Silver nearly being burnt alive by the fire and magma. "The longer you remain here, the more you have to lose... heh heh heh..."
Amy Rose was walking on the sidewalk eastward towards the Pizza Hut, being alongside Shadow The Hedgehog and Knuckles as she was in the middle, with Shadow close to the street and Knuckles close to the building. It was exactly noon in the city.
"So, how do you think Silver is doing with his pizza deliveries?' Amy asked as she had her arms wrapped around the back of her head.
Knuckles smiled as he pounded his fists together. "I'd say pretty great. Silver knows how to make great pizzas, so I bet he's a good delivery guy, too!"
"Humph. I have less confidence in him delivering pizzas than him messing up my specific orders," Shadow remarked as he rolled his eyes, his arms folded together.
"Aww come on, Shadow, don't be like that!" Amy exclaimed as she grabbed Shadow by the arm, shaking him as she smiled. "I'm sure Silver is doing better than you'd expect right now! Have faith in him!"
"Pfft, yeah, sure. Faith in him getting run over," Shadow dully remarked as Amy murmured in annoyance, with Knuckles shrugging in response.
Meanwhile, Silver gasped as he was running as fast as he could, heading downtown in Sonic Adventure 1 's Station Square like a speeding bullet as he held three deliciously hot boxes of pizzas, going through the infamous Speed Highway. He pushed people aside through both brute force and his psychic powers, not wanting to be late. He was barely five minutes away from the Sonic Adventure's Station Square Pizza Hut, and considering the traffic jam earlier, he was so sure to not want to be any more late.
"Come on, Silver! Step it up!" Silver told himself as he pushed himself to go faster, proclaiming loudly, "By the love of all that is pure and good, if I don't get these pizzas delivered on time, my ass will be on a stake!"
He jumped over several cars, turning around the right corner as he headed west. He jumped up again, landing on some railings, of which he proceeded to grind on. He then turned to the right, being hit by a car, which sent him tumbling downhill the down-going street. Silver yelped as his body rolled down like a barrel, hitting a wall as the pizza boxes came rolling down as well. Luckily, Silver all grabbed them quickly with ease, not wanting any of them to break. He wiped his forehead with his right arm, then blasted off towards the right, with only two more minutes to spare.
"Almost... there..." Silver was practically gasping as every step he took manage to tire him rather easily. Despite this, Silver would not allow the delivery to be moot, and thus, he used his psychic power to help boost him further, approaching the destination at fast pace with just about a minute to spare. Turning left once more, Silver ran across the wooden bridge as he arrived at a walrus-shaped submarine, tapping it as a purple, humanoid walrus from inside opened it up, seeing Silver.
"Hey, you're the pizza delivery guy, right?" The walrus asked as he massaged his whiskers.
Silver smiled as he nodded, handing over the three boxes of pizzas. "Here's your three cheesy pizzas, just as you ordered, sir!" He took a bow as he turned around and jetted off, leaving behind the walrus, who shrugged as he took the pizzas into his submarine, closing the door as the submarine itself went into the depths of the ocean.
Silver laughed with confidence as he completed his deed, stating to himself, "Silver, you magnificent delivery guy! I'll have to give myself a well deserved PRRRROMOTION!"
"Where's Silver?" Shadow asked Vector as he placed his hands on the green counter, being inside the Pizza Hut. "I've been looking for him all day! That loser slave shouldn't take this long for a friggin' pizza delivery!"
Vector munched on a slice of regular pizza, rolling his right hand about. "He's on a pizza delivery, what else do you expect for him to do? It's not as easy as it sounds, believe it or not." He stated in response, chuckling as he nodded his head, with Shadow murmuring in annoyance as he was getting impatient.
