Walking into her dressing room after her final performance for the night, Haley closed the door behind her to drown out the sound of the crowd. Taking a deep breath, she walked towards her vanity table and sat down. Reaching for her phone, Haley noticed she had received a text from her best friend Lucas Scott. As she opened the text message, Haley gasped softly when she saw that Lucas had sent her a new photo of Jamie and Lydia together. It's been months since Haley went on tour with the Wreckers, and Chris Keller, who happens to be her new boyfriend, joined her. Haley and Chris recently started dating after her divorce from her ex-husband Nathan was finalized two years ago. They both share custody of their children, and although they don't always get along, at least they can be civil around their son and daughter. Haley does miss her family, especially her three-year-old daughter, who is still growing up every day.

She heard the door of her dressing room open and close. Looking up, Haley noticed Chris standing behind her. Setting down her phone, she stood up from her chair and walked over to Chris. Leaning up, she kissed him gently before placing both hands on his chest. Smiling against his lips, she smiled at him.

Chris placed his hand against her waist as he pulled her even closer to him as they deepened their kiss. He moaned against her lips and then slowly pulled away from them. "Mhmm," Chris said with a smirk. "Looks like Chris Keller is about to be pretty lucky tonight."

Haley sighs as she rolled her eyes as she pulled away from him." You know that I hate it when your always perferring yourself as the person." It was kinda cute the first time but after awhile Haley got annoyed with it and asked Chris multiple times to stop.

Chris reached out to Haley and pulls her back towards him as he leans down and kisses her gently." I'm sorry. It's just a bad habit that I'm still trying to break from."

Haley nods her head a little." Um, I was thinking about going back to Tree Hill tomorrow."

"Why would you want to do that?"

" Because Chris it's been months since I been home and I really want to see Jamie and Lydia."

" Are you actually going back home to see your kids or are you going to go see your ex husband too?"

"Well, considering they've been staying with their father since I've been on tour, it's most likely that I'm going to see him too," she says, shrugging her shoulders slightly.

Chris sighed heavily as he ran both hands down his face. "I really don't like the idea of you going back to Tree Hill."

"Chris, Tree Hill is my home, my kids are there. I can't just not go back home. Besides, I want to go back home and spend time with my kids." Haley has been touring nonstop and she just wants to go back home. She just wishes that Chris could understand that.

" Then I will come with you.",Chris said as he tugs a strand of hair behind her ear as he smiles down at her.

" Are you sure that you wanna come? I mean you're not exactly Nathan's favorite person right now." When Haley first introduced Chris to her kids and Nathan as her new boyfriend, both Jamie and Lydia were okay with Chris being their mom's new boyfriend. Nathan however wasn't too happy about it. Which Haley found it kinda ironic considering Nathan already had a new girlfriend.

Chris shrugged his shoulders. "So?" he asked. "Look, babe, I want to come with you. Besides, Nathan can hate me all he wants. I really don't care, because I'm not going anywhere." He said as he leaned down and kissed Haley deeply and passionately. "I love you," he whispered softly.

Haley smiled and said, "I love you too."

Honestly, Haley isn't sure if having Chris come with her back home tomorrow is such a good idea. It's just not Nathan who hates Chris; everyone else does too. And Haley doesn't understand why. Chris has never done anything to hurt her. At least he hasn't cheated on her or gotten another woman pregnant like her ex-husband did.

After getting all the kids to bed, Nathan walked back downstairs to find Renee sitting on their couch, curled up with a book and a glass of wine. Nathan and Renee had met at a party that his agent, Clay Evans, had thrown for Nathan and his team after they won a game against the Lakers that night. Nathan got pretty wasted that night, and so did Renee; and because of their drunken night, Nathan and Renee ended up in bed together that night.

One day out of the blue, Renee showed up at Nathan and Haley's doorstep, claiming that she was three months pregnant and Nathan was the father. Naturally, Nathan denied it, and naturally, Haley didn't believe him, causing them to get a divorce.

Nathan really didn't want the divorce because he wanted to try to work it out and fix their problems. However, Haley wanted the divorce mainly because she didn't trust him and she was too hurt by what he did. Therefore, Nathan had no choice but to grant her the divorce.

One positive outcome of the divorce was that both Haley and Nathan shared custody of their eight-year-old son Jamie and their three-year-old daughter Lydia, who was named after Haley's mother, who had passed away while Haley was pregnant with Lydia. Neither wanted to go through the court system, so they agreed that they would both share fifty-fifty custody for both children. During the school year, Jamie and Lydia would be with Haley; Jamie was in the third grade, and Lydia was in preschool. However, since Haley went on tour with the Wreckers and Chris Keller, her supposedly new boyfriend early this year, Jamie and Lydia have been staying with Nathan and Renee, along with their two-year-old son, Nathan Jr.

Looking up from her book as she closed it, she set it down on the coffee table and smiled at Nathan. "Are they asleep?" Renee asked.

Yep, all three kids are asleep," Nathan answered as he sat down beside her. "Jamie's been asking when Haley is coming home though." He said as he took a sip of his beer, which was now slightly warm. "Ugh, this is warm." He said as he got up and went into the kitchen to grab a cold one from the fridge.

Getting up from the couch few seconds later Renee followed Nathan into the kitchen." So, What did you tell Jamie when he asked about Haley?" She asked as she set her glass down on the kitchen Island.

Nathan shrugged his shoulders as he took a sip of his beer. "I honestly didn't know what to tell him, so I just said that Haley would be home soon."

Well, let's just hope that she doesn't return too soon," Renee said as she poured herself another glass of wine.

" What's that supposed to mean?"

Renee sighed as she set the wine bottle down." Nothing really. All I'm saying is that Haley has been gone for months now and she still hasn't come back for her kids. So is it possible that she never wants to come back home?"

Nathan said, "Haley would never abandon Jamie or Lydia, no matter what."

Nathan, come on! We haven't heard from your ex-wife since she left on tour. Not even a phone call. Look, I get that you two have history and that you guys have kids together, but...

But what?" Nathan asked, becoming increasingly agitated.

Renee sighed deeply. "I just feel like Haley cares more about herself than her own children," she said, shrugging her shoulders and taking a sip of her wine.

Nathan scoffed as he shook his head; he couldn't believe Renee would say something like that. "You don't know a damn thing about Haley. She loves them more than anything and she'll do anything for them. So don't sit there and talk about Haley that way." Both Nathan and Haley agreed, no matter what happened in their careers or between them, they would always put their children first.

Renee said as she scoffed and shook her head in disbelief. "You still have feelings for Haley," she said. "It's been two years since she divorced you, and you're still not over her?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest and glaring at him.

You and I have been together for two years now; why would you even ask me that kind of question?" Nathan asked, unable to believe that Renee would actually think he would still have feelings for Haley or that she would think he was still not over her.

"Why can't you answer my question?" Renee asked as she was still waiting for his answer to her question.

" No! I don't still have feelings for Haley. Do I love her? Yeah I guess I do. I mean she's the mother of my kids. But Haley and I are divorced. We both moved on." Nathan said as he finished his beer and tossed his empty bottle into the recycling bin." I'm heading up to, bed." said once again as he kisses Renee on her cheek before he headed upstairs towards their room.

Renee sighed deeply as she took a drink of her wine. Personally, Renee hoped that Haley never came back. She would prefer that Haley stay away from their family and out of their lives forever. Haley was the one who walked out on Nathan and their children. She went on tour and never bothered to call home or check in with her children. In Renee's opinion, they were all better off without Haley.

AN: A brand new Naley story. Except that Haley and Nathan or divorced and with other people. But don't worry our favorite couple find their way back to each other. Enjoy xD.
