"Ok people move!" the White Lotus Captain, Lee, said.

As he yelled several people climbed into the back of the truck with two getting onto a pair of bikes. They only gotten word about the break out a few moments ago. It seems that the communication lines were cut before the attack, while they had some communications with Republic city, it seemed that the Earth Empire attacked caused some problems with communications as well. Either that or they were dealing with some chaos that caused problems for him. He wasn't sure, but that was a problem to solve for later.

As several guards passed by, a face stood out to him. He moved over to stop her. Infiltration was not the thing he needed now. Placing a hand on her shoulder she stopped and looked to him before stating at attention. Military discipline was good for the White Lotus, but something about her seemed off. He wasn't sure why, but there was something behind those green eyes of hers.

"I haven't seen you before, who are you?" he asked.

"I'm Nami, sir," the woman said. "I came from one of the Garrisons to the south,"

Her eyes didn't move. "Which?"

"Yakai, sir," she quickly responded.

He wanted to raise a brow, but resisted the urge to. Not being aware of all of the Garrison's wasn't a crime, but right now he didn't see any indication that she was lying. With a nod he let her go. He didn't have time to deal with this right now.

"Get on, quickly," he ordered and Nami did as told as he mentally made a note to keep an eye on her.

After the last two got on board the bikes took off first with the truck close behind.

In an office back at the garrison a dark-haired woman awoke with a groan only to find herself stripped of her uniform, gagged and hogtied with a message in front of her. 'Sorry' was all it read. All she could do was struggle and scream into the gag.

OOOOO

After getting her jacket off, Kuvira was placed into the pool of spirit water. The former leader of the Earth Empire gently shook as the cold water flowed over her. She relaxed as Kya and Katara looked to the group. The members of the new team Avatar had a mixture of looks on them. Asami was both angry and worried while Mako had his neutral face on while Bolin just looked worried. Inwardly she sighed. She wasn't surprised about this a she had faced something similar before. Outwardly she kept her own neutral but worried expression.

"What happened?" she asked.

Asami looked to the side as if in guilt. She was about to speak, bit mako took over. "Asami wanted some answers from Kuvira about Korra's whereabouts," he said. "We stopped her from doing any more damage but…"

"She spoke," Bolin added. "Said something about, something coming though and hunger,"

"A spirit?" Kya mused but this time Asami shook her head and spoke up.

"No. She also said it wasn't from the spirit world," the CEO added. "But how many spirits do you know that eat humans?"

"And with spirits able to come into this world, it's possible that something bad came through," Kya added.

Katara was silent for a moment as she cupped her chin. "Not from the spirit world… humm," she looked to Kuvira who gently shook in the water. "Kya,"

Her daughter nodded as the two moved to either side of the pool and began to move to make the water move up and down Kuvira's body. After a moment the two stopped and looked up at each other with confused expressions.

"I know that look," Lin said as she stepped forward. "What's wrong?"

"I don't know…." Katara said as she got to her knees while Kya moved to pull Kuvira up a bit.

"What's going…." the earthbender said as Katara felt along the back of her neck.

"Have you had any kind of surgery on your neck?" the master healer asked.

"N… no," Kuvira said dazed and confused. "Why… what's wrong?"

"You have a scar on the back of your neck and something inside," Kya said as she helped her mother examine the base of the skull.

"What?" Lin and Mako asked while Bolin and Asami just shared shocked looks. "That would have been found by the doctors," Lin continued.

"Which means that it appeared recently," Mako added wide eyed.

"H…how is that…" Kuvira tried but trailed off as a wave of tiredness flooded her.

Lin walked up and pressed her fingers at the back of Kuvira's neck. "It's metal," she said with surprise. "But… but I think it's made out of platinum. I just tired to bend it and it didn't move. That's probably a good thing though,"

"How is that a good thing?" Bolin asked. "Something appeared in her body in the last two hours,"

"Because it's attached to her brainstem," Kya said. "Removing it without knowing how it works could lead to permanent brain damage,"

Asami bit her lip and held back a reply. Now wasn't the time for any kind of comeback. As much as she hated the woman in the pool, aggravating her and getting angry wasn't the best of options right now. She'd have to take her anger out on a defenceless dummy later. Her heart ached though. She wanted to know what happened to Korra, she wanted answers but it seemed that they were going to be a long time coming.

"What's it for?" Mako then asked earning looks from everyone. "If it's attached to her brainstem then there has to be a reason, right?"

"Maybe," Katara said as she cupped her chin and looked to Lin. "Can you tell what it's made of?"

The chief blinked before feeling at the back of Kuvira's neck again. "Well, I know that some parts of it seem like platinum, or something similar," she muttered as she massaged around the area. "I'm picking up silver, some metals I cannot identify… but… what is that?" she asked no one in particular.

Kuvira cried out in pain as she shot forward clutching her head. "It hurts!" she cried out. "It… ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh," she screamed towards the ceiling as her body began to glow and pulse blue.

"That the fuck," Bolin said as he backed up. "Is she possessed or something?"

Kuvira floated out of the pool for a moment before she lost consciousness and fell back into the spirit pool. Some of the water spilled out causing the group to back up a bit. Looks of confusion was shared with everyone in the room. But Kya and Katara reacted quickly as the began to bend the sprit water around Kuvira's body. This time they didn't stop as they talked.

"Well, that's interesting," Katara muttered as she got a nod from her daughter.

"What is?" Both Mako and Lin asked.

"It looks that Kuvira has a new power," Kya answered. "But what I have no idea,"

OOOOO

"Owwww," Korra groaned as Chackwas dapped the teen's shoulder.

"This is why you need to listen to instructors," the doctor chided. "But given your biotics, pistols and sub machine guns. I think they would compliment your martial skills better,"

"Thanks for the tip…ow…" the avatar muttered.

After a final wipe, the doctor placed the piece of cotton to one side. "Ok done, best to practice with pistols and SMG's," she advised and Korra nodded. "

"Will do," she smiled.

"Will Korra, Garrus, Tali, Jack, Mordin and Samara please report to the briefing room," EDI said.

Korra shot the doctor a questioning look. "CIC floor, T junction behind the lift,"

"Thanks," she said as she left the medical bay and made her way to the lift hitting the key.

Doing so she looked at her white and black outfit with a frown. "EDI, is there a possibility of changing the colour to blue?"

"Is that part of your culture?" EDI asked, her tone staying natural but with a friendly questioning hint behind it.

"Yeah, where I come from, outside of a few places, people wear the colours that attribute them to one of the elements. Purple, blue and white for the watertribe, blue and white in my case. Red and black for the fire nation, green for the earth kingdom and orange for the air nomads. I have worn green for a while, but feels weird,"

EDI was silent for a moment. "I will have a uniform dyed for you. The commander tends to run an informal ship. Having a different coloured uniform will be fine,"

"That's good to hear, thank you EDI," Korra said as the lift stopped.

"I am here to help," the AI said as Korra exited and made her way round to the briefing room.

Garrus, Miranda, Jacob and Mordin were already inside. As soon as she walked in, Mordin looked to her.

"Ah, Korra, welcome, names Mordin, hear you come from an alternate world," he said in a rapid-fire way that reminded her of Ikki and Meelo. "If you are free, would love to hear about it,"

Korra just smiled. "Sure, sounds like fun," she said as the others arrived.

"So, what's this about cheerleader?" Jack asked in a very sarcastic and unimpressed tone.

Miranda ignored her as she tapped something onto the tale in front of her and a hologram of a red and yellow planet appeared making Korra back up a bit. "Wow," she muttered looking at the light in front of her. She was about to reach out when Tali stopped her and shook her head. Korra nodded and watched as the XO began to talk.

"Tali provided us with information about a Geth abduction site which we are going to clear," she said with a matter-of-fact tone. "We know that some Geth units have been abducting people alongside the Collectors. We don't know why, but this is a start,"

The others nodded while Korra listened in. She was told about the Collectors and Geth, but there was still a lot of information that she was still unclear on most of it. Bu that didn't stop her from getting the basics of what was happening. She cupped her chin as Miranda continued.

"We believe that the camp is here," the XO indicated to a section of the planet that expected to show a large area. "We aren't sure where, so we are going to split into groups. Samara Garrus, Korra and Tali on one while Jacob, Me, Mordin and Jack on the other. We'll det dropped off on these at these locations," she pointed out two locations a few kilometres apart and check out these sights which we have determined are the most likely locations for the camps," she pointed out 10 sites. "Our mission is to secure and protect. We need to take out the guards and secure the prisoners so that the Alliance can take custody of them,"

"How long until the Alliance gets here?" Garrus asked.

"Shouldn't be more than a couple of hours," Miranda replied. "This a planet boarding Alliance territory. Any other questions?" No one said anything. "Good, Korra stick with Garrus, he'll teach you the ropes,"

"I'll try not break her," he smiled with Korra mirrored.

OOOOO

The White Lotus group reached Zaheer's prison. They stopped where the bridge began before exiting. Kwon followed the group as they left the vehicles and spread out. As she rounded the truck, she was on she paused at the sight. The bride that was before her was covered in blood with claw marks running across the sides and middle. Like an animal had come here to feed. She walked as she heard people retching from the sight. But after battles like Malevelon Creek, Eden Prime and Trophan, this wasn't new to her. Taking a breath, she walked up to the sides of the bridge and began to look for signs on how, whoever did this got up.

"Ok, spread out," the captain yelled. "Look for signs of whoever did this,"

He was followed by calls in the affirmative as the group of 15 moved to look for evidence. One of them, a man with bronzed skin, walked over to her.

"See anything interesting?" he asked.

Kwon nodded. "See these marks along the edge?" he nodded.

"They climbed up," he replied. "They must have had earth benders or really good climbers,"

"Not to mention they had bladed weapons," she said as she stood and looked around. "As for the bodies…. How many people would be here?"

"About 12," the man said. "Three from each nation, excluding the air nation,"

Kwon nodded as walked towards the cell itself. She had seen something like this before and just prayed that she was wrong. The man followed her as they entered a sort of airlock which was cut to pieces. The man blinked while Kwon walked over to one of the doors which was cut.

"Clean, very clean," she muttered.

"How is that possible?" the man asked.

"It's not…" Kwon said but continued silently. "Not with your current technology,"

The two looked into the main cell and walked in. "So, remind me, what was this guy in for?"

"He tried to kill the Avatar," he said. "He used some kind of metal poison to force her into the avatar state and kill her. That way the cycle would end. Apparently, he's some kind of anarchist,"

"I guess that's the reason why Kuvira managed to get so much power?" Kwon asked as she looked around.

"Yeah, he was the one who murdered the Queen of the Earth Kingdom and sent Ba Sing Sae into a riot," he explained. "He was a powerful airbender who could fly without a glider. From what I understand, only one person has ever done that in the past,"

"Sounds like a rare talent," Kwon said as she looked at the severed chains. "Clean again," she muttered as she picked a chain up.

She examined the severed link before the man called. "Hey, found something," he said.

Kwon looked to see him squatting next to a pool of glowing blue liquid. He reached out prompting Kwon move fast and slap his hand out of the way.

"Don't touch it," she said as she squatted down. "This is…."

"What?" he asked. "What is it?"

Kwon was silent for a moment before taking a chance. "I don't know, but you shouldn't touch strange puddles of liquid,"

"Good point," he nodded. "Never seen anything like this,"

"Same," she lied. She knew exactly what this was, and that scared her.

"Fal, back away from her," a voice yelled and the two looked to see the captain and a bunch of White Lotus members standing at the entrance ready to strike.

The two rose and Fal looked to them with a confused look. "Why," he asked.

"She's an impostor. She stole Mei-fai's uniform," the captain said.

Fal was about to turn, but Kwon moved quickly to knock him out. She caught him before he fell and threw him to the side, away from the pool. Acting fast, she brought up cover as the White Lotus began to throw fire, water and earth at her. In spite of herself, she smiled. This was the first time she'd face enemies who could throw elements at her. This was going to be an interesting challenge.

She moved out of cover and dived into a roll. With a quick recovery, she slammed her fist into the ground making some rock shards float up. Moving up, she then kicked the shards towards the White Lotus members to moved to block the projectiles. As they did, she moved to the side and came up quickly to the nearest one. It seems that she wasn't expecting that move, but she quickly moved to use water to block the attack. She redirected Kwon's attack, sending her to the side, but the N7 Marine moved faster and kicked the water bender in the gut.

She was sent into one of the teammates, and the two landed on the floor in a heap. A fire bender them moved up and threw a large plume of fire at her. To the surprise of both Kwon and the others, she moved quickly to dissipate the fire. She then moved to throw her own fireball at the bender. He didn't expect that and was knocked back. She followed up with a knee to the head knocking him out before she turned to the final 5. But they looked at her with confusion.

"She just firebended," one said. "But… that's not the Avatar,"

"She's also too old to be a reincarnation," the captain said. "Who the hell are you?"

Kwon didn't hear that last part but focused on what he said. "I'M TOO OLD? BUDDY, I'M TWENTY FUCKIGN SEVEN!"

His brow raised in confusion and shock while two of the women behind him rolled their eyes. "Never talk about a woman's age," one said as Kwon moved in fast after throwing rocks at them as a cover while she moved close behind.

The group moved to counter the attack with a mix of earth bending defences and fireballs, but again Kwon shifted her movements to the side and attacked from the flank. This time the group was ready for the move, and countered the commander as she was about to pounce. Two of them threw fireballs at the Commander who dissipated one but not the other which sent her back a few steps allowing the captain to move in and throw several rocks at her.

With a grunt, Kwon rolled out of the way and threw up her hands to stop the rock in mid-air. There was a short struggle between the two before she pushed the rock back and into the group taking out two. The captain and two more still stood however, the commander was already moving and kicked the captain in the head sending him down. Before she could move onto the other two, they already reacted with one blasting her with fire and the other with water.

Using her bending, she brought up a stone shield before spinning and kicking it seeing rocks into the final two white lotus guards knocking them out. With that done she looked around, out of breath, exhausted and tired. The fight took a lot out of her and it seemed that the White Lotus didn't have the same killing instinct she developed. Either that or her years spending training in high gravity environments hadn't died down yet. She quickly stripped the uniform off, leaving her in the shirt, trousers and boots Iroh had given her.

A groan then came from one of the guards. She walked over to him and grabbed him by the collar as consciousness came back.

"Listen, I don't have time for whatever questions you have or comments. Just tell me where Republic City is," she said tightening her grip. "Because if you don't a lot of people could die,"

"Why would…" he began but sat the fire in her eyes that told him that she had seen more than he would like. "West by south west from here, there are signposts that will point you in the direction,"

"Thank you," she said before turning him to look at glowing pool. "Now, whatever happens, do not let anyone touch that. Even if you have to cut their arm off, do not let anyone touch it. It's extremely dangerous,"

"O…ok," he said before she let him go and walk out to get onto one of the bikes and rode off. Things just got complicated and very problematic.
