He watched as the angels began to expand the universe without him and the creation of Adam and Lilith.
After Lilith left Adam, Lucifer met her in the Garden of Eden and the two dreamers fell in love with each other. Lucifer, with Lilith, wanting to share the power of free will, offered Adam's second wife, Eve, the Fruit of Knowledge, with this act evil made its way into the Earth which subsequently created Hell. As punishment, both Lucifer and Lilith were sent to Hell, where Lucifer could only see the worst of humanity and the horrific results of his actions. Ashamed, Lucifer lost his will to dream.
In Hell, now a fallen angel, Lucifer became the ruler of all Hell on the basis of his angelic power, ruling over all the Demons that reside there. At an unknown point, Lucifer became part of an order of powerful demons called the Seven Deadly Sins, each member embodying a sin, with his being Pride. But when negotiating the terms for the Extermination, Lucifer successfully obtained a pardon for every Hellborn demon in Hell, including Charlie, while making it clear only Sinners would die at the hands of the Exorcists.
Currently, Velvette, the youngest Overlord in Hell and member of the worst sinners called the Vees, was on the run, as she'd picked the wrong day to go out on her usual fashion and social media business and as such, was caught up in the middle of the Extermination. Put up 1 hell of a fight that it took all night and morning to finally get the bitch, but not without getting my clothes shredded and the bruises and scratches on my back."
Adam was actually impressed with that explanation. "Shit! That sinner had to have been strong to give my best soldier a really hard time." Adam said while staring at Lute's nakedness, much to his amusement. He then grabbed her nipples and pulled them before letting them go and then poked them a bit before tapping on her breasts like drums, much to Lute's mental frustration, as even she hated it when Adam touched her private parts like this. "Danger tits. Danger tits. Danger fuckin' titties."
But Lute stepped back and wrapped her wings around her body. "Yes, thank you, Sir. Look, I had a really long night. I'm exhausted and I just wanna take a shower and sleep for a while."
Adam didn't care but nodded anyway. "Okay, okay, danger tits." Then walked behind Lute and, like a pervert, stuck 2 fingers in her asshole and thrusted them out a couple of times before slapping her ass hard.
"Ahhh!" Lute yelped while blushing in embarrassment and…disgust.
Adam, his god complex kicking in, just laughed at that. "Hahahaha! Yeah, how's that, danger fuckin' titties? Gettin' your cute little ass fingered and spanked by the…FUCKIN' MAAAAN!" Before going out of the room and closing the door.
Lute, beginning to get angry at that sexual assault, unwrapped her wings and retracted them into her back before going inside her bathroom and getting into her bathtub. After getting the water on the right warm level, she let the warm water soothe her body and quickly put shampoo and body wash on her before rinsing it all off, she stood under the water and, thinking about what Adam just did to her, began to punch the wall with half her strength, breaking it a lot. "AAAAAAAAHHHAHHHH! MOTHERFUCKING BASTAAAAAAAAARD!"
For the next few minutes, Lute felt tears fall from her eyes even though water was all over her face and once she finally got out of the shower, she dried herself and went to her room, not bothering to put on some clothes, as she mostly kept to herself. After getting comfortable on her bed she quickly passed out.
Inside Lute's dream
Lute was fighting against the female Overlord, with them being evenly matched in every way while everything crumbled around them. And after losing their clothes, they punched each other on the cheek, causing them to stumble back a few steps. "Why don't you just give up and die, sinner bitch?!"
"Well, maybe I would be less if you just admit that you can't beat me." Velvette taunted.
"I can't beat you? Come on, bitch, I'm an Exorcist who's killed hundreds of your kind, and you're sure as fuck not any different than the others." Lute said while staring at Velvette's body.
But Velvette held an angelic dagger. "I'm an Overlord, luv." Then she took steps until she was in front of Lute. "Maybe you Angels can't be harmed or killed, but I think that's a load of bullshit. Let's see how you can take your own weapons."
Lute, pushed to her breaking point, only told her. "You know what? Do it. Just…fucking do it!"
This confused Velvette. "What?"
"End my torment. The…disgusting things that Adam has done to me, every day in heaven, ever since I got there. Even what I went through in my life on Earth. All the death, the killing I've done! And carrying those memories in my head every single fucking day! End it all for me now!" Then took off her halo and threw it away. 'JUST FUCKING KILL ME, DAMN IT!"
Velvette stepped forward and raised the dagger as Lute closed her eyes and braced herself for her ultimate end and escaped from her torment. But as much as she wanted to, Velvette couldn't bring herself to do it.
But Lute, in an act of the heat of the moment, grabbed Velvette by her arms and drew her in for short but lustful kisses that caused the young Overlord to drop the dagger and kiss Lute back. But then, Lute stopped herself and pulled away and put her hand on her lips as they stared at each other for a few seconds before they wrapped themselves around each other and began kissing lustfully again.
"Mmmmm. Mmmmm. Mmmm." Lute moaned with lust and another emotion she hadn't felt even in her life on Earth.
"Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmmm. Mmmm." Velvette moaned before they separated and Lute began kissing her neck. "Ahhh. Ahhh. Ohhhh yeah. Yes. Lute…I want you. I…fucking want you."
Lute began rubbing herself against Velvette. "I want you too. I…I love you." Then they separated, with Velvette moaning as she did. "God, I…fucking love you. Fuck, I love you so much."
Later, outside of Lute's dream
The Exorcist lieutenant woke up in a cold sweat with a gasp as she looked around and saw herself still in her bed as she painted, feeling disgusted with herself. "Oh heaven, no. Please, no. Shit…" Before she got out of bed and went to her balcony, which thankfully didn't have anything else but clouds and water. She then conjured up the pack of cigarettes and lighter that Velvette gave her and looked at it before pulling 1 out, putting it between her lips and lighting up, taking a drag and blowing out the smoke, finding it…relaxing.
"Damn. Never thought that cigarettes could relax you and relieve stress this much." Lute said while looking at her cigarette before putting it between her lips and leaning on the railing. "If this is what cigarettes do for you, despite the bad effects, I'm probably gonna have to smoke more often." Then took another drag from her cigarette and inhaled before blowing out the smoke from her nose. "And the best part is I don't gotta worry about getting lung cancer, being that I'm already dead. But…I can't let what happened get to my head. It was…just a mistake, that's it! Next year, I swear I'll find that bitch and finish what I started!"
1 week later
But to Lute's frustration, she couldn't stop thinking about the sinner Overlord she fought and slept with, along with Adam making her and her sisters do disgusting things just to satisfy his god complex. She couldn't even go at least a few hours without thinking about that night in hell and all Adam's, what she now saw as, abuse that it stressed her out more and more. But thankfully, she had been conjuring up packs of cigarettes and smoked whenever she was sure she was alone and had even grown distant from everyone in heaven.
But due to this being heaven, not anyone noticed Lute's new behavior. Or so she thought, as there was 1 angel who had noticed, the other Seraphim, Emily. The younger Seraphim had noticed when seeing Lute be distant from everyone, including Adam, who she was usually around 24/7 and had been thinking about something so often during every meeting, gathering and even in her free time. And after a few more days, the younger Seraphim decided to talk to Lute to try to help her get over what was bothering her.
After doing her job for the day, Emily immediately went to Lute's house and entered, calling out for Lute. "Lute! Lute? Are you here?" She asked as she shifted into her partial form. "Lute?" Then she saw Lute on her balcony and went to it. "Hey, Lute, it's Emily."
Lute, barely startled, looked around and saw the other Seraphim. "Oh. Hey, Emily. What do you want?" She asked, luckily flicking 1 of her cigarettes away before she got here.
"Well…I've noticed that…you've been distant from everyone lately. Even from Adam. And…I just wanted to help you with whatever's going on." Emily said honestly. "Maybe…I could find a way to make you happy and joyful."
Lute chuckled, as she knew that Emily always did bring joy to every soul in heaven, and enjoyed it too. "Hahahaha. Emily, I do appreciate you caring and all, but I'm fine."
But Emily, despite her naive and childish, energy filled, optimistic nature, knew better. She then took Lute's hands and vowed. "No you're not, Lute. Believe me, I can see it all over your face and in your eyes. Something is wrong, and I'm gonna help you through it, no matter what."
Lute got annoyed and asked. "You're not gonna stop until you help me, aren't you?"
Emily smiled. "You know I'm not." Before hugging Lute. "Not until you're happy and joyful."
Another week later
And to Lute's confirmation, Emily did come by as often as possible at random times when she was free from her duties and talked with her more and more, with Lute opening up little by little but not mentioning anything about the Exterminations due to the 1 rule Adam and Sera agreed to, and especially not wanting her to know everything that Adam did to her and still was, as she didn't want to cause any trouble, especially with the higher ups.
But still, Emily was determined to fulfill her vow. She was just making her way to Lute's house and had entered. "Lute! I'm here!" But then, she smelled something. Something…a little bad and unfamiliar to her. "What's that smell?" He asked herself before seeing Lute on her balcony, with a cigarette in her mouth. "Lute?"
Lute was surprised before taking her cigarette out of her mouth and blowing out the smoke quickly and flicking her cigarette away. "Emily!"
Emily was shocked, as she had not expected to see this…sinful act. "Lute…were you…just…smoking a cigarette?"
Lute knew she couldn't hide it anymore and knew that Emily would have discovered this sooner or later. So, with a sigh, she admitted. "Yeah, I was. I've…been smoking cigarettes for a few weeks now."
Emily was shocked but asked. "But…how could you do something…sinful like that?"
"Just drop it, Emily! I don't wanna talk about it!" Lute told her.
But Emily would not back down. "No, Lute! Tell me why you've been smoking!"
"I said, drop it, Emily!" Lute said while grabbing her arms and shaking her.
"Lute! Please, tell me why!" Emily pleaded, still not backing down.
Lute, looking into Emily's eyes and with how close they've been getting the last week, along with reaching her breaking point due to Adam's constant sexual assaults and manipulations for years, felt the tears leave her eyes. And so, she let go of Emily and hugged her tight, crying away her pain and letting it out, making Emily shed tears too as she hugged back.
After 10 minutes of crying, Lute and Emily sat on her bed and Adam's 2nd opened up for once. "I'm sorry, Emily. It's just…I…I've thought about it and I realize how much I… hate being Adam's second hand!
"What do you mean, Lute? What did Adam do to you?" Emily curiously asked, despite not liking Adam herself.
"He…he…he forces me and my fellow sisters to do things in front of him that…makes me feel sick inside." Lute admitted.
"What kind of things?" Emily asked.
Lute didn't want to tell sweet Emily the details, as she didn't want her to do anything stupid and pointless. "I…I can't tell you, Emily. All I can say is that…it's not pleasant things and it's partly what made me start smoking cigarettes and…it's really helped me during these last few weeks."
But Emily reminded Lute, despite understanding why now. "But, Lute, you know how bad smoking is. They cause people on earth lung cancer and it slowly kills them from inside. And…if you don't stop they'll…"
Lute stopped her by chuckling. "Hahaha. They'll do what, Emily, cause me cancer and kill me? Emily, did you really forget? I already died before becoming an angel. Cigarettes can't kill me if I'm already dead." But then, she assured her. "But don't worry, I won't smoke around you if I don't have to. Don't want you to get tempted…unless you wanna smoke with me." She said as a joke. Then she went to the balcony and got out another cigarette before lighting up, taking a drag and blowing out the smoke. "But…having you around and talking with me. It helps too. So, I'll understand if you don't want to anymore."
Emily stood beside Lute and after thinking it over, she made a decision. "I vowed to help you be happy and joyful, Lute, and I intend to keep it. So, despite your…new habit, I'll still come over to hang out more and we can talk…about anything you want to."
Lute smiled before rubbing Emily's long hair, grateful to have Emily now. "Thanks, Emily. It…means a lot to me."
Emily smiled. "You're very welcome, Lute.
Lute smiled and stood beside Emily while the Seraphim angel was watching her smoke before she smirked and offered. "Wanna try it, Emily?"
Emily was surprised by the offer before looking at Lute's cigarette and after a few minutes, took the cigarette between her fingers and, with Lute watching as she was nervous. "I'm…not sure I should, Lute."
Lute smirked and grinned. "Not encouraging you, Emily. Let's make a deal, though: 1 drag, and if you like it, come by more often and I'll open up to you a little more while we smoke. But if you don't, just smoke that 1 and I'll never offer you another cigarette again and I'll still try to open up more. Either way, win-win for you."
Emily was still doubtful but seeing this as an opportunity to help Lute and grew close to her, thought it over for 2 minutes before finally taking a drag from the cigarette. But as with many 1st time smokers, she coughed a bit in disgust. "Ewww…that's just…nasty!"
Lute chuckled with amusement. "Hahahaha. Figured that'd be your reaction, Emily. Don't worry, smoke a bit more, you'll get used to it…with the benefit of not having to worry about lung cancer." Before she got out another cigarette and lit up, taking a drag and blowing out the smoke.
"Don't count on it, Lute. And I thought you said you wouldn't smoke around me?" Emily asked with a glare.
Lute smirked and took a drag from her cigarette and blew out the smoke in Emily's face. "I lied. Just you wait, Emily. Give it a few days, and we'll be smoking together in no time."
Emily sighed with annoyance. "Don't get your hopes up, Lute. This is a 1 time thing." She told her new friend before taking another drag from her cigarette and blowing out the smoke.
Lute chuckled with her cigarette in her mouth. "Yeah. Keep telling yourself that, Emily. After a few days, you'll be craving them like I do."
2 weeks later
As time passed, Lute thought of nothing else but her night with Velvette. The intense fight and especially the intense sex and the morning afterwards and it was getting harder and harder for her to focus on her work with each passing day. But since she opened up to Emily, it was much easier for her. And to Lute's confirmation, Emily did start smoking cigarettes more when she was with her, but was very careful to hide it from everyone, including Sera. They'd talk about Lute's abuse at Adam's hand while they smoked and they'd gotten close during that time as well, spending more and more time together, with Lute becoming more sweet to her and a bit less aggressive than she used to be, much to Emily's happiness.
But Sera, the High Seraphim, had noticed that Emily was hanging out with Lute more and more and that Lute was beginning to be more happy around Emily very slowly. And so, thinking that the secret of the Exterminations could be at risk and that Lute would tell Emily, starting something that could cause chaos, decided to do something about it before it began.
And so, after doing her job of keeping Heaven happy and joyful and reporting to Sera in her office, Emily was about to leave for Lute's house until Sera stopped her. "Emily, wait! I have to talk to you."
Emily sat back down and asked. "What's wrong, Sera?"
"Emily, I noticed that you've been visiting Lute more and more."
"Well, I'm trying to help her get over some things. And…we've actually made great progress. She's opening up and…she's a little more happy than I've ever seen her before." Emily said with happiness, and joy for Lute.
"Emily. I'm very happy you're doing your job very well and that Lute is more happy now, but…I have to ask that you stop hanging out with her." Sera said with an emotionless look.
Emily was shocked at this. "What?! But why? If Lute's happier, then I thought I'd be obligated to help her. Everyone in heaven is happy, so why shouldn't she be happy?"
Sera opened all her eyes and told her. "That doesn't matter, Emily. Whatever is going on with Lute, I'm sure it's just a phase that she'll get through with time. Please, don't worry about her. She'll be back to herself, I promise. But you have to stop hanging out with her. Please. It's for your own good, as well as hers." Then she kissed Emily's forehead. "I'm sorry." Then flew away.
Emily shed tears and needing Lute's company, quickly flew to her house, where Lute was watching 1 of her favorite programs while eating a pizza. "Hey, Lute."
Lute smiled when she saw Emily. "Hey, Emily, come sit down. I'm watching 1 of my favorite programs."
Emily sat down and saw that she was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but was only watching the episodes that focused heavily on the vampire Spike, as he was Lute's favorite character and she saw a little bit of herself in him. "You really like Buffy, don't you, Lute?"
"Just the episodes that focus on Spike. I especially like his leather duster coat. And his bad boy personality." Lute answered while taking a slice of pizza and taking a bite from it. But then, she noticed Emily's face, making her pause the show. "What's up? Something wrong?"
Emily looked at her in sadness and suggested. "How about we talk about it over a cigarette? I really need 1 right now."
Lute nodded before they went outside on her balcony and she gave Emily a cigarette and they lit up together, taking a drag and blowing out the smoke together. "So, Emily, what's wrong?"
Emily then explained. "It's Sera. She…wants me to stop…hanging out with you."
"What? Why?" Lute asked with a raised eyebrow, despite having a feeling that she already knew the reason.
"She…says that you're just going through a phase and that…staying away from you is for my own good, and yours." Emily answered before taking a drag from her cigarette and blowing out the smoke.
But Lute knew the real reason why Sera didn't want Emily spending time with her. It was because of wanting to protect her secret agreement with Adam and all for the sake of protecting their people at any costs. But Lute wasn't about to let Sera take the 1 source of comfort and happiness in heaven that made everything she'd been through worth it.
So, putting her arm around Emily and putting her cigarette between her lips, she said to her. "Emily, you've been my 1 source of comfort ever since you 1st came to me. The comfort you've brought me as we hang out, talking, watching my favorite programs, and even smoking cigarettes together. I…don't wanna lose that. So, this time, I'd advise you…not to listen to her."
Emily began to worry, taking a drag from her cigarette, inhaling and blowing out the smoke from her nose. "But…what about Sera? If she finds out…"
"If she finds out, I'll take the blame and punishment, that way you'll be blameless." Lute assured her, inhaling her cigarette and blowing out the smoke from her nose. "When and if that happens, I'll deal with it. But until then, don't worry about it or Adam or Sera. Keep hanging out with me if that's what you want. Talk with me, smoke with me, do anything you wanna do with me, expect certain other things, 1 thing in particular. Got it?"
Emily listened to Lute very carefully and despite everything she was taught, she strangely felt more comfortable doing things with Lute, including smoking cigarettes and talking with her. So, feeling safe with Lute around, she nodded, taking a drag from her cigarette and blowing out the smoke. "Got it, Lute, I'll keep hanging out with you. I'll come over to talk with you, watch TV or do anything you wanna do, even smoke a few cigarettes."
Lute smiled, taking a drag from her cigarette and blowing out the smoke. "Good bad girl." She said before they just stood beside each other and finished their cigarettes, going inside to pick out 1 of Lute's favorite movies.
Meanwhile, in Hell
Velvette was in her office, doing her business as usual while smoking a cigarette. But every time she tried to focus, her mind kept drifting away back to Lute and their night of intense fighting and wild rough sex, as well as the morning after when they shared a cigarette together and trying to get Lute to stay by seducing her, which almost worked before she ultimately went back to heaven.
But regardless, Velvette had a feeling that she'd be seeing her again very, very soon, making her smile as she took a final drag from her cigarette and blew out the smoke and put it out in her ashtray. "Just you wait, Lute. You'll be back. And when you are, we're gonna have sooo much more fun together."
There you go, my dear friends, chapter 1 is complete. There's so much more to come, but I won't spoil any surprises. Next will be the Overture episode, which will be mostly the same but with Lute showing signs of her change to Charlie and maybe there'll be a bonus scene with Lute and Emily too.
And just to make sure nobody is confused, the time of the next Extermination will be longer than in canon, that way everyone will have more time to grow and change, along with the bonus scenes and episodes/chapters I'll be adding with a friend.
