Qrowxbar: I haven't seen One Piece, so no. But I am willing to watch the live action show.
Kamenrider13489: I do have a sequel planned.
Luffy L Deathwalker: I understand. But after doing this story for four years now, I just want to move on from it.
Keybladelight: Not sure. I just finished the game, but I don't know if it's worth a chapter.
Xedornox: No problem
Draconis ignitus: You'll see in time.
Horrorfan247: I haven't seen One Piece. As for Gravity Falls, I think Jaune fits Dipper a lot more than Bill.
StrongGuy159: Will do.
Darth Atrox: That actually does sound like a fun idea.
Maximum Rhapsody: I'd say about ten more chapters. Once it's over, they'll be sent back home.
UnlawffulGentleman: I'll try and make it the best I can.
SPARTAN-626: She probably did feel some level of enjoyment from that. Who's to say?
Bebop Wolf: I'm hoping it's gonna be good.
Omarnosian10: Yeah, I really wanna be playing the game as soon as I can. You'll see soon enough.
Guest: I didn't choose Cardin as Grimlock. That was done by Nacoma23. But I would've had him as him regardless.
IGetWierdMessages: I understand it can be a bit disappointing. But it will be saved for the sequel.
Jack7the7ripper: I'll consider it.
The lights had already gone dark in the room as the audience waited in anticipation for the next world to come on, which was another viewing of the world of Omnitrix Jaune, much to the excitement of the students and the intrigue of the adults.
The screen opens to a bright moon in the night's sky, lighting up the foggy forest below a large lake, surrounded by trees and mist, quiet and serene.
"CANNONBALL!" The voice of Jaune suddenly cuts through the silence as he jumps into the waters, making a giant splash in the process.
Jaune dove back up, spitting out the water from his mouth and gave a grin. "Judges score, yes! Perfect 10! Yeah! Aaaah! The crowd loves him!"
"Woo!" Nora cheered for her leader. "Bet I can make even bigger ones then that!"
"I would also like to try cannon balling!" Penny joined in with a smile.
"Let's hope not." Ruby muttered, remembering the last time Penny tried doing a cannonball. The pool is still in repair.
Cyana watches from the end of a pier with an unimpressed look. "A perfect dweeb" is more like it."
"Does she always have to be such a sour ball?" Yang asks, resting her head on her hand.
"Don't be rude, Yang." Tai chastised.
"Eh, she does have a point." Qrow shrugged.
"Come on! Dive in!" Jaune encouraged.
Cyana scoffed. "Please! Who knows what nasty, slimy things are slivering around in there." Cyana says as she searches the lake with her flashlight, shining on Jaune's face. "I rest my case."
"Ooh! Burn!" Sun winces. "And I thought Weiss was the queen of sass."
Before Weiss could counter that, Coco interjected. "I believe that title belongs to me."
"What's the point in camping by a lake if you're afraid to get wet?" Jaune smiles as he splashes the water from the lake onto Cyana.
Cyana Gasps as she shields herself from the waters. "Knock it off midget!" Cyana snaps before walking away back to the Rust Bucket.
But suddenly, Jaune began violently splashing around in the water. "Hey!" Jaune coughs. "What's...Happen-?" Jaune kept coughing until getting dragged into the water.
Suddenly the mood turned from humorous to deadly serious in an instant.
"Jaune...?" Pyrrha muttered with a tone of fear in her tone for her partner.
"What...What just happened?!" Ruby asked, frantically worried for her first friend.
"I-It's probably just him messing around." Weiss said, though she wasn't quite sure.
Cyana wasn't falling for this display. "Very funny Jaune... I'm not falling for it." Cyana said as she walked back over to shine a light on where Jaune was, but only found bubbles. "Jaune?" Cyana worryingly said.
The water bubbles increase until suddenly, a giant green swamp-creature lurches out from the water towards Cyana, growling at her.
"Holy hell!" Sun exclaims.
"Sea monster!" Nora cried out.
"I didn't think we'd be starting out something dangerous this early!" Kali gasped.
"Heh," Qrow gave a small laugh, much to the confusion of some of the audience.
"What are you laughing about?" Winter asked.
"You'll see."
Cyana screams in fright as backs away from the creature, falling over and dropping the torch, which rolls on the ground to shine on the creature, revealing it to be Jaune's Four Arms transformation covered in seaweed.
Cyana immediately frowned in annoyance after recognizing him. "Jaune?"
"You should have seen the look on your face!" Four Arms chuckled. "Ah, priceless!"
"Argh! Unbelievable!" Weiss huffs in frustration. "Doing such childish, ridiculous things."
Saphron sighed while Adrian giggled. "I would've expected something like this from the twins, much less Jaune."
"You gotta admit, it was a pretty solid prank." Sun chuckled.
Cyana angrily picked herself up from the ground. "You are so busted when I tell Grandpa!" Cyana said as she walked back to the RV.
Four Arms kept laughing to himself as he took off the seaweed. "I can't believe she fell for it! A monster in the lake! How dumb can you be?"
"Ya gotta admit, it was kinda funny." Yang said.
"You better not get any ideas from this, Xiao Long." Weiss said sternly.
Blake sighed. "It's too late. She's already gotten ideas."
"I can neither confirm nor deny." Yang said with her grin still present.
Four Arms then heard the sounds of the water bubbling once more, causing him to turn and see splashes from the water. When Jaune fully turned, he saw a gigantic silhouette of a monster rising out of the water behind him and his eyes widened in shock.
The audience were once again in shock at what they were seeing before their eyes.
"My god..." Ironwood breathed out in disbelief.
"Uh...something tells me that isn't another one of Jaune's pranks." Ruby muttered.
Velvet gulped. "I am beginning to agree."
Four Arms stood before the giant creature lurching above him. Suddenly, one of the tendrils from the creature shoots out at him, grabbing and throwing him across the lake.
Four Arms pops back out of the water, gasping for air. He looks around him for any sign of the monster. With his guard down, something latches onto him from the waters and drags him under.
"Oh no!" Penny cried out in worry.
"It's got him!" Kali also cried out.
"Come on, Jaune!" Nora encouraged, standing up from her chair. "Don't let that overgrown fish get the better of you! Turn it into sushi!"
As he was being dragged, Four Arms saw a good look at a giant eye staring back at him. Four Arms gasped in shock as he managed to break free of the tendrils, making it back up to the surface.
Ruby let out a sigh of relief. "Boy, that was close."
"What was that thing?" Weiss asks.
"Maybe a Grimm?" Yang suggested.
"Unlikely." Winter said. "Grimm aren't usually known to flee once it sets its sights on someone."
"Whatever it is, it's still out there." Ozpin said. "And could prove quite troublesome."
The scene changed to the Rust Bucket, where Cyana and Sterling were sleeping until Four Arms suddenly barged into the Rust Bucket.
"I was just attacked by a giant lake monster!" Four Arms exclaims, but was lazily thrown a pillow at his face by Cyana.
"Hello? Current events? You already got me with that one." Cyana said as she turned back to sleep.
Weiss sighed. "Of all the times to play a stupid trick."
"Well to be fair, he didn't know that was gonna happen." Yang said in young Jaune's defense.
"Regardless, Mr. Arc is going to have to convince his family the truth if they're gonna find that creature." Ghira said.
"But I'm not kidding this time!" Four Arms insisted.
"Come on champ, joke's over." Sterling yawns.
"...But I-"
Ren gave a small sigh. "Like the boy who cried Beowolf." Ren said.
Sterling sighs. "Get some sleep, remember we have an early day tomorrow for our fishing trip."
Jaune looked disappointed as the Omnitrix times out, transforming him back into his human form as he laid on the floor in a starfish-position, sitting back up with a look of disappointment.
The screen changes to the daytime, where Jaune, Cyana, and Sterling, with a fishing rod in hand, as they walk along the coast, Where Jaune was still trying to convince them of what he saw.
"No, really! It was humongous with these red glowing eyes-!" Jaune recounted.
"I'm sure it was just some kind of big fish, that's all." Sterling said.
"I don't think fish are normally that big." Ren pointed out.
"If they were, Blake would've already gotten to it." Nora remarks, causing the ninja Faunus to blush and glare at her, but internally, she would be very interested in big fish.
"Yeah, so give the mega-fish story a rest, will you "Captain Dweeb?" Cyana said while rolling her eyes.
Jaune frowns as he wonders ahead of them, coming across a bucket of wriggling worms and smirking to himself.
Cyana kept walking until she was met with a face full of worms, courtesy of Jaune, causing her to scream.
"Breakfast?" Jaune asks.
Glynd sighed. "And he wonders why they don't trust him."
"Eugh- Jaune, gross..." Cyana cringes as she steps away from her cousin. "What's with the bucket of slimies?"
"Bait." Sterling answers with a smile while Jaune looks impressed by the worms.
"Yeah, Well, I think I'm gonna pass on the fishing thing, I'll stay here and catch some sun instead!" Cyana said as she walked away from the boys.
"Can't say I blame her." Weiss said. "Can't really see the appeal of fishing."
"Me and Ruby used to go on fishing trips all the time with Dad." Yang said.
Ruby nodded and smiled. "Yeah, it was pretty fun."
"Same here." Saphron smiled. "Dad used to take, me, Jaune and the rest of us fishing."
"Patch has some of the biggest fish you'll ever see." Tai said.
Blake turned to with an intrigued look. "Really?"
Tai nodded as Kali turned to her fellow parent. "Y'know, I wouldn't mind visiting to see if you don't mind."
Tai shrugged. "No, not at all."
"Okay, but you don't know what you're missing!" Sterling said.
"I'm pretty sure I do..." Cyana waved off.
Sterling turned around to greet the man in the boat beside them. "Captain Shaw?"
Shaw turns to the Arcs with a grimacing look. "Who wants to know?"
"Ah, the old, grizzled sea captain." Sun said. "Like from those sailing movies."
"There are quite a few of them." Ozpin said. "Often than not hunting Grimm, or creatures resembling Grimm."
"I'm Sterling Arc, and this is my grandson, Jaune." Sterling introduced as Jaune waves to the sea captain. "We chartered your boat today for a fishing trip."
"Well what're you waiting for, an engraved invitation? Get aboard, I ain't got all day." Shaw said gruffly as he tended to the boat.
"Well he seems like a delight to be around." Coco sarcastically said.
Jaune excitedly moves to get on the boat, while Sterling seems concerned as he joins Jaune on the ship as it sets off down the lake. Time passes as the ship sails slowly on the lake.
"Anything... interesting out there to catch today?" Sterling asks, trying to stoke up a conversation with the Sea Captain.
"More than you can imagine..." Shaw answers, turning his head to the end of the boat. "Looks like your boy's using his breakfast as chum."
Sterling turns to Jaune to see his head hanging over the edge of the boat. "Jaune?" Sterling nudged. "You feeling okay?"
Jaune pulled his head back. "Yeah, I'm just keeping an eye out for the lake monster. That thing's not taking me by surprise this time!" Jaune said in an eager tone while Sterling raised a brow.
"I mean is it really that hard to believe?" Ruby asked. "They did fight alien robots and mutant animals. Why would this be so hard to believe."
"You do make a good point, Ruby." Pyrrha said. "It wouldn't be totally impossible to believe."
"It's probably because they're still getting used to the idea of otherworldly creatures." Glynda suggested. "Though it doesn't help that Jaune played a prank on Cyana, making her doubt him."
Jaune continued to look around, until something caught his eye, gasping to see a monstrous silhouette in the water. "There it is!" But when the boat comes closer, The silhouette is shown to be just a collection of brambles and rubbish. "Oh, my bad." Jaune mutters.
Sterling chuckles. "Now, Jaune. This is a fishing trip, not a monster hunt."
"It's called 'the Krakken'." Shaw suddenly said with an intense gaze, gaining the Arc's attention, especially Jaune's.
"The what?" Yang repeated with a confused look.
"Sounds like Shaw knows more than he lets on." Ironwood hummed with intrigue.
"Whoa. You know about it?" Jaune asked eagerly.
"It's my business to know about it." Shaw said as he handed Jaune a photo, one with an image of a creature on it. "I've been on its tail for years. Folks say my rudder's not right." Shaw said as Jaune looked at the image with awe.
"Can't imagine why..." Weiss mutters as she rolls her eyes.
"It reminds me of one of Peter's stories." Ozpin muses.
Glynda lightly scoffs. "Yes, I remember. It's usually followed up by an overly grandeur story of how he 'vanquished' said beast."
"Why doesn't that surprise me?" Sterling mutters.
"Sightings go back hundreds of years, on this very lake. Some say it's a myth..." Shaw recalled. "Not me! I could take you to a spot where I personally laid eyes upon the beast." Shaw offers as he turns to Jaune. "That is, if you've got the stomach for some real adventure!"
"I know I do!" Nora said in an eager tone.
Ren placed a hand on his partner's shoulder as she sat back down on her seat. "Nora, I don't quite think he's...stable "
"Yeah, guy looks obsessed." Ilia said in agreement.
Jaune looks up to a reluctant Sterling expectantly and smiling.
"I guess so..." Sterling relents.
"Alright!" Jaune said in an eager tone.
"Do you think they'll actually find it?" Ruby asked.
"I'd say there is a high chance, friend Ruby." Penny said.
Meanwhile, Shaw was looking over his ship's systems. "Sonar, high-def video setup, ultrasound. I got it all." Shaw said. "And I will find it. Mark my words, it can't hide forever."
Jaune was looking at Shaw in awe when Sterling suddenly took Jaune aside to talk with him. "Jaune, I don't want you to put too much stock in what mister Shaw says. I don't think he has both oars in the water, if you know what I mean."
Jaune frowns at this. "Why? Just because he saw the Krakken too?" Jaune says as he walks away in a huff, with Sterling looking saddened.
"I think he's just more concerned that Jaune might get himself hurt." Tai said.
"Why?" Yang asked with a confused look. "He has the Omnitrix. He can handle whatever that thing can throw at him."
"Considering the last time those two faced off against each other, the kid was the one being thrown around." Qrow pointed out while taking in a drink.
Ruby pouted at her uncle. "Rude."
But Qrow just shrugs." Just being honest, kiddo."
Time passes as the ship floats by, Shaw at the helm paying attention to the sonar, as he comes up against a blockage of buoys and tape. "Do not enter"? What's going on?" Shaw questions.
"Looks official." Sterling noted and turned to the sea captain. "Maybe we should turn back!"
"Aw!" Nora pouted in disappointment as she crossed her arms. "I wanted to see the sea monster again. And watch Jaune-Jaune win his rematch."
"Well it looks like it isn't happening." Coco said.
"Nonsense," Shaw said. "This is my lake and I'll go wherever I-"
Suddenly, another voice called out to them. "Fishing boat! Stop where you are." Shaw turned to see another pulling up alongside their boat. "I am Jonah Melville, the founder of 'Friends of Fish"," The man greeted in a friendly tone. "We've closed this section of the lake for an environmental study. You'll have to turn your boat around."
Shaw glared at Jonah. "Suppose you make me, fish-hugger?" Shaw said in a confrontational tone.
"Well, since I chartered the boat for the day, I believe I'm in charge." Sterling reminded as Shaw sighs. "Isn't that right, Captain?"
Captain Shaw grumbles and reluctantly makes his way up the boat.
"Heh, shut down just like that." Tai chuckled.
Jaune was disappointed by this sudden turn. "But-what about the Krakken?"
Jonah chuckles to himself at the mention of the sea creature. "The Krakken? Not that old fish story? Look, I'm a marine biologist. And anyone who tells you they've seen a monster in this lake, is casting without a hook." Jonah said as he and his crew walked away, all the while Jaune deeply frowned at this.
"I kinda feel bad for him," Velvet said with a sympathetic tone. "No one believed in what he saw.
"Just like Captain Shaw." Ruby compared.
"Hopefully, Jaune won't become overly obsessed like Shaw clearly is." Ren said.
Shaw's boat was forced to travel back to the docks, trailing behind the 'Friends of Fish' boat. But suddenly, the ship's sonar pings, alerting Shaw.
"The sonar! We've found something!" Shaw said with wide eyes.
A shark-like fin pops to the surface of the water, heading towards the boat, as Sterling and Jaune watches.
"Well it looks like Jaune wouldn't have to wait long for people to believe him!" Sun remarks with a worried tone.
"The creature from the lake!" Pyrrha gasps.
"Or something's found us! Look!" Jaune called out, causing Shaw to walk out and see the fin dip below the water.'
"The Krakken!" Shaw utters in both amazement and excitement. The fin passes under Shaw's boat, revealing its large mass as it rocks the boat.
"It's heading for the docks!" Shaw said in a panicked tone.
"Cyana!" Jaune and Sterling said in worry.
"It's gonna attack those people, and Cyana!" Saphron said with wide eyes.
The Krakken's was rushing towards the docks at a high speed, unbeknownst to Cyana, who was sitting at the end of the pier rocking her feet.
"Ah finally a little sun, and with my big-mouth cousin nowhere in sight, I can just lay back and relax..." Cyana said in bliss, unaware of the danger approaching.
"That's not gonna last for long, I'm afraid." Ozpin said in a serious tone.
The Krakken rushes towards land as Captain Shaw tries to warn the dock-goers by ringing the ship's bell.
"How many times does that doofus think I'm gonna fall for this?" Cyana sighs in mild annoyance until The Krakken rears out of the water, letting out a mighty roar as it slumps back down onto the pier, crushing it to pieces and sending everyone on the pier into the water.
Cyana pops back up to the surface and gasps. "That's not Jaune." Cyana muttered in dread.
"No, Jaune isn't as nearly as scary as that." Blake said while looking at the creature with wide eyes.
"Not unless he has a form even scarier than that." Weiss says with worry.
View gave a brief sigh of relief. "It's a good thing they haven't seen Ghostfreak in this. Otherwise, they'll see just how right that is."
"I told ya!- It's real!" Shaw said while watching the creature through his binoculars. "The Krakken lives!"
"Sail now, gloat later." Sterling said as he then turned to Jaune. "Someone's got to rescue those people." Sterling whispers.
Jaune nodded as he ran and leapt off the side of the boat into the water. Coming back up from the waters, Jaune activated the Omnitrix, the dial showing a fish-like alien creature.
"Ripjaws to the rescue!" Jaune declared as he held in his breath before diving under the waters below and slamming onto the Omnitrix, causing a bright green light to flash under the waters.
"Oh yeah!" Yang said with an excited grin. "Time for another alien!"
"And with a name like Ripjaws, he sounds awesome." Sun said with the same tone of excitement.
Jaune dove back up to the surface, but instead of getting the alien he wanted, he instead turned into his Kineceleran form, much to his shock and annoyance.
"Huh," Nora tilted her head. "Looks a lot like XLR8."
Weiss sighs in annoyance. "That's because it is XLR8."
"Hey! I said Ripjaws! Not XLR8! Stupid watch!" XLR8 hisses in frustration.
"Wait, why'd it give him the wrong alien?" Ruby asked in confusion.
Yang shrugged "Maybe he slammed onto it too hard?"
"Hmm," Weiss hummed doubtfully. "Doesn't seem likely."
XLR8 turns to see Cyana and the people swim as fast as they can away from the Krakken as it chases after them. "Here goes nothing!" XLR8 said as his visor slid down and quickly sped towards them.
XLR8 begins to run on the water's surface, almost slipping in the process, but managing to reach Cyana in time before she could be eaten by the Krakken. Cyana gasped in shock as XLR8 made it to land and settled her down.
Saphron sighed in relief, thankful that Jaune managed to save Cyana in time. "That was a close one."
"That was so cool!" Ruby said in awe. "Running on water like that!"
"You do know your semblance allows you to do the same?" Weiss pointed out.
"Well, yeah," Ruby admitted. "But it's still pretty cool!"
"You okay?" XLR8 asked.
Cyana was currently coughing up water. "I think so, thanks for the save." Cyana said as Jaune suddenly turned to head towards the sea beast, while also splashing mud on Cyana, causing her to cough again."Hey! You did that on purpose!"
Ironwood sighed. "Couldn't resist, could he."
"Probably a little payback for not believing him." Qrow suggested.
XLR8 proceeded to rush towards the other people around the Krakken, bringing them all back to land with Cyana.
Meanwhile, Jonah was seeing the events unfold for himself. "Get us out of here!" Jonah yelled to one of his crew mates, who made the boat sail away from the Krakken.
But the Krakken noticed them attempting to flee and screeched, throwing aside a boat to swim after them. XLR8 notices this and bolts towards their direction.
"Wait, why are they going after them?" Ruby asked.
Penny tilted her head in confusion. "It does not make logical sense."
"Yeah, they are 'friends of fish' after all." Yang pointed out.
The Krakken was then right in front of the boat's path, roaring at them as it attempted to turn away, but its tail was used to bat against the boat, rocking it greatly as the crew hanged onto dear life.
The Krakken rushes towards the boat in an attempt to ram it. But XLR8 blocked its path by creating a water tornado on the surface, scaring it away. XLR8 stops and jumps onto the boat. They all turned to the side to see that the Krakken had swam to the front of the boat. It then tries to grab a crate off of it using its front tendrils.
Jonah's eyes widened as he immediately ran after the crate, hanging onto it as the Krakken drags it towards it. "No you don't!" Jonah yells in defiance.
"The hell is that fool doing!?" Ironwood exclaims.
"Whatever is in there isn't worth risking your life!" Kali said.
XLR8 bolted towards the Krakken, grabbing one of the Krakken's tendril and dragging it backwards to prevent the crate from being moved. The monster knocks Jaune backwards and tries again to get the box, but Jaune roots himself on the ship's ground, and uses XLR8's fast moving feet to kick the Krakken's jaw as it comes towards the ship.
"Very impressive use of his speed." Pyrrha complimented with a smile.
"Hmm," Ruby hummed. "I wonder if it'll work on Grimm."
After being kicked in the underjaw so many times, the Krakken reels backwards roaring and retreats.
"Ha! Take that!" Yang called out. "That takes care of the Krakken!"
"But it's not gonna stop it for long." Weiss pointed out. "He needs to get those people out of there before dealing with it again."
Jonah and his crew approached XLR8. "Thanks for the hand, and the feet!"
XLR8 made a hissing sound as his mask peeled back, revealing his face to them. "What's so important in that crate that you'd risk your life for it?"
"Um... Our lunch!" Jonah answers.
"Uh, Bullshit!" Yang yells out.
"Miss Xiao Long, how many times!" Glynda reprimanded.
"while I do not agree with the exact phrasing, I do agree with Miss Xiao Long's doubt." Ozpin said.
XLR8 raises a skeptic brow at this claim. "You almost got munched for a few sandwiches?"
"Must be pretty good Sandwiches." Nora said.
"Depends on what's in them." Sun remarks.
Winter gave a skeptical look. "That is highly doubtful. They're clearly hiding something."
"Something that the Krakken was willing to chase after them for." Ren joined in as he looked at the screen with interest.
Suddenly, one of the Krakken's tendrils jumped out the water and grabbed on one of the crates while they were distracted, taking it back into the water before they could do a thing.
XLR8's mask slid back down, ready to chase after the beast, when suddenly his timer started ticking red. "Uh oh. Sorry, gotta run." XLR8 quickly said as he leaps off the boat and starts running towards Shaw's ship.
Sun sighed in annoyance at the timer. "Talk about worse timing."
"Almost there..." XLR8 says as he gets closer and closer. "I think I'm gonna-" XLR8 says until the watch finally times out, transforming back into Jaune as he screams while still moving with XLR8's momentum and getting skidded across the water's surface like a stone, landing right behind the ship.
Yang winces. "That's gotta hurt a bit."
Jaune came back up from the water. "Make it." Jaune finished, just as Sterling stood over at the side of the boat to see Jaune.
"Man overboard!" Sterling calls out. "Shaw, Jaune is overboard! Bring the boat around!"
Shaw was currency manning the harpoon gun, looking for a chance to hook in the sea creature, but decided to help, not before sending one last look at the creature. "Next time you're in my sights, you won't be so lucky..."
The scene changes to night,, where campers and dock-goers were all packing up and leaving as quickly as they could. Meanwhile, Jaune, Cyana, and Sterling were sitting by a campfire as Jaune dried himself off.
"See, I told you so." Jaune said. "That was the same thing that tried to munch me last night. Captain Shaw and I were right."
"Just because he was right about the Krakken doesn't mean I was wrong about him." Sterling strongly said. "I want you to stay away from that guy. He's trouble."
"You're just being stubborn." Jaune said.
"What Arc isn't?" Qrow remarks.
Saphron turned to Qrow with an offended look. "Hey!"
Terra puts a hand on her wife's shoulder. "Honey, you do tend to be a bit stubborn at times."
"Yeah, don't you hate people like that?" Cyana remarks.
"Heh," Weiss lightly chuckles.
"We'll leave this to the experts, Jaune, like those 'Friends of Fish' guys." Sterling said.
"Yeah, I wouldn't count on those guys, considering they were willing to run away at the sight of it." Yang said.
"I'm inclined to agree." Weiss said. "Jaune, Sterling and Cyana are the only real ones capable of stopping that creature."
"What about Shaw?" Nora asked. "He's eager for a shot at the monster!"
"I think Shaw's far too obsessed to see reason." Ren said.
"Experts?" Jaune scoffs. "Who better to snag a lake-monster than the guy with the monster-buster on his wrist." Jaune says, holding up the watch.
"I'm afraid this is just gonna have to be the one that got away, son." Sterling said.
Just nearby, Captain Shaw had walked near where the Arcs were, though his mind was on other things."...low-down no good fish kissers!"
"Captain Shaw, what is it?" Jaune asked.
"The nerve of those 'enviro-punks'! They shut down the entire lake!" Shaw says in an angry tone. "Nobody tells me where to sail, and nobody's gonna keep me away from reeling in the catch of the century. Nobody." Shaw declares as he heads for his ship.
"It's...probably for the best." Kali said, a little disturbed by Shaw's obsessed tone.
"Indeed, the Krakken could hurt other people." Pyrrha said. "It's best to have the civilians out of harm's way."
The screen faded to Captain Shaw's boat beginning to set sail across the lake, while the Rust Bucket sits nearby the pier.
Inside, Cyana was knocking impatiently at the bathroom door. "Come on Jaune! What did you do, fall in?"
Sterling comes by and opens the door, but Jaune was nowhere to be seen, much to Sterling's shock.
"Oh no, where could he be?" Kali asks in worry.
"Take a wild guess." Qrow says.
"He didn't!" Saphron says in disbelief.
"By the way he was talking, oh yes, he definitely did." Ilia said.
Back on Shaw's ship, the sea captain was currently manning the ship, when suddenly, he heard the sounds of cluttering behind him. Shaw notices that the sounds were coming from under a tarp.
"Hey! No stowaways on my boat, even if you are only a filthy rat!" Shaw says as he grabs a nearby paddle and uses it to uncover the tarp, revealing Jaune sitting there.
"Um? First mate Arc reporting for duty... sir?" Jaune nervously greeted.
Shaw glares at Jaune slightly, but decides to let him stay regardless.
Glynda groaned in frustration at this. "While I would be upset at Mr Arc for pulling this reckless stunt, Shaw should not be inviting him on a dangerous quest."
"I mean the guy clearly has a few screws loose." Tai pointed out.
Pyrrha sighed. "I just wished Jaune wasn't taking such a risk doing this."
"Honestly, considering that Shaw was the only one who believed him and was the only one willing to also go up against the Krakken, I can't exactly blame him." Ren said.
"Still, they should at least work together enough to figure out where the creature is hiding." Velvet added.
Time passes as Shaw explains to Jaune his current knowledge as he suits himself up. "She's probably been chased deep by our 'fishy friends'. Only one way to flush her out... with a little live bait."
"Maybe I should go with you? Y'know, just in case?" Jaune offers.
"No need. I've got my dive body right here." Shaw said as he Packs up a harpoon gun and heads for the side of the boat. "Wish me luck." Shaw said as he dived down into the waters.
Jaune looks down at where Shaw descended, but not before looking towards another dive-suit on the boat, smirking to himself.
"Maybe now he can use that Ripjaws guy he wanted before." Yang hoped with an eager grin.
"I do not believe that is a good idea." Pyrrha said in an unsure tone. "Considering how...driven Shaw is, it is most likely he would confuse Ripjaws as another sea beast to hunt."
Yang looked down in disappointment. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
Captain Shaw meanwhile continues to dive through the ocean. As he ventures through, he gets startled by what he thought was the creature, but turned out to be only seaweed. Taking a deep breath, he continues looking for the creature until eventually coming across something of interest. The Krakken's nest, with a single egg there.
"An egg?" Sun said with a look of confusion.
"That thing's a mom?" Nora said with a surprised tone.
Blake's eyes widened in sudden realization. "Of course! That's why it attacked the docks, it was looking for its eggs!"
"But then, why'd it attack Jonah and his crew?" Weiss asked.
Ozpin hums. "Something tells me that there is more going on than we know."
"You believe they have some sort of involvement with the creature and its eggs?" Ironwood asks his old friend.
"I believe so." Ozpin said.
But another presence swam near the sea captain, too busy looking at the egg to notice. As well as not noticing another figure swimming at him from behind. Shaw snaps around and fires the harpoon, causing the swimmer to dodge out of the way in time. The swimmer is revealed to be Jaune, grinning at Shaw.
Pyrrha let out a relieved sigh. She felt her heart nearly stop once it was shown that the other diver was Jaune. "That was far too close."
Ren, however, narrowed his eyes at the screen, thinking that there may be a third person down there with them.
Shaw sighs in relief as he gestures the egg at him. After getting a good look at it, Shaw dives his way back up to the surface, only to see another boat alongside his dock next to his.
"Another boat?" Ruby says with a raised brow.
"Looks like someone had the same idea." Tai said.
Shaw climbs onto the ladder of his boat, when suddenly he's grabbed and thrown onboard. Shaw looks up to see a couple of masked figures standing over him.
"Don't you know night diving is dangerous, old timer?" The Masked figure in front asked. "Unless of course, you went with a friend."
"Oh crap..." Yang mutters as she glares at the masked men on screen.
Shaw wasn't intimidated by these men. "I work alone. I ain't got no friends."
"At least he's looking out for Jaune." Saphron said. Appreciative that while the man wasn't exactly stable, he had least didn't rat out Jaune.
"...and with a sparkling personality like yours?" The leader remarks as his friends hold Shaw in his place, all the while Jaune pops back up to the surface and watches the confrontation from afar.
"I haven't anything worth stealing either." Shaw says as the leader approaches him.
"Ah, but you have us all wrong. All we want is information. Like, what did you see down there?" The leader demands.
"Nothin'. Same as always." Shaw claims.
After getting the answer, The masked figure reeled his fist back and punched Shaw, knocking him to the ground as well as knocking him out. The masked man then removed his mask, revealing himself to be Jonah Melville.
"Jonah!?" Velvet exclaims in shock.
"Tch! That scumbag!" Coco glared.
"Of course!" Blake said in realization. "That's why the Krakken went after them. He's got the rest of their eggs!"
"Well... I have to be sure." Jonah said to the knocked out sea captain.
"So much for 'friends of fish'" Sun scoffs.
Jaune sees this and was in shock. He looks down at the watch to see if he could do anything to stop them, only to see that it was still timed out.
"Come on, work!" Jaune says as he tries twisting the dial.
"Come on, how long does that thing take to recharge!" Yang asks in frustration, throwing her hands up in the air. "It's been like hours since he last changed!"
"It does seem like it should've recharged by now." Ren said as he held his chin in contemplation.
Jonah could be heard on the boat. "Take 'Ahab' here with us. Find out if he knows anything back at the Cannery." Jonah orders as his men grab his body and start to move him. "We'll come back later with a mini-sub to snatch the rest of the eggs." Jonah said as he threw a tracker into the lake and it proceeded to sink down.
"In the meantime," Jonah says as he primed an explosive."I think his boat just got lost at sea." Jonah says as he Throws the explosive over into Shaw's ship and begins to sail off, with an explosion occurring behind them.
"That awful man!" Kali gasped in shock and horror that he was willing to go as far as to use explosives for this.
"They really aren't leaving any loose ends." Pyrrha said with a worried expression.
"Just like Torchwick." Ruby said with a serious look on her face.
Jaune quickly dives down for safety as the debris begins to fall down around him. He managed to dodge some of it as he quickly came back up to the surface from a safe distance to see the remains of Shaw's boat.
Jaune looked down at the watch and saw that it was recharged, with a silhouette of Stinkfly keyed in. "It's hero time." Jaune declares as he looks up at the fleeing crew.
"About time!" Yang said as she then had an eager grin. "Now give those guys hell, Jaune!"
As the crew makes their escape, one of them spots something in the sky. "Is that a bird?"
One of them also looks up in the sky. "Nah. Looks like a plane."
"It's Super Fly!" Nora cried out.
Weiss gave a small scoff. "Sounds like one of Jaune's ridiculous superheroes."
None of their guesses were right, as it was actually Stinkfly, hovering above them.
Jonah's eyes widened at the sight of the alien. "It's a bug! Man the harpoons!"
"Give it up! You are totally busted." Stinkfly declares.
One of Jonah's crew manned a nearby turret and fired lasers at Stinkfly, but the insect-like alien managed to dodge the blaster fire. Stinkfly then spewed his slime at the two members of Jonah's crew, immobilizing them.
"Still disgusting to see." Weiss winces at the sight of Stinkfly's particular powers.
Velvet cringes at the sight. "While I'm not the biggest fan either, I'm just glad he's saving those eggs from those horrible poachers.
Jonah then unloaded explosive barrels from inside of the ship. Stinkfly continued to chase after Jonah, managing to avoid being blown apart by the barrels, narrowly avoiding them, but only narrowly avoiding being crushed by a falling tree, but he was still hit by it, which caused him to be knocked into the waters.
"Oh no!" Ruby called out for her friend in fear for him.
Stinkfly poked his head out from the water. "Aw, man. My Wings are too wet for take-off." Stinkfly said, lifting up his wet wing and was unable to fly.
"Damn it!" Yang cursed. "And he was so close as well!"
Jonah's boat turned back around and headed towards Stinkfly, ready to ram over him. "Let's squish that bug, once and for all!"
"Now he's at the mercy of those men." Ironwood gravelly said as the audience continued watching in anticipation and worry for the young blonde.
Now spotlighted, Stinkfly tried to make his escape as Jonah's ship barrels towards him. He manages to reach a hunk of driftwood, turning his eye-stalks back to see the oncoming threat.
"Aw, come on, come on! Dry off!" Stinkfly said, flapping his wings rapidly in an attempt to dry them off quicker.
"It can't end like this." Sun said, hoping for his fellow blonde to get out of there quickly.
"If only he could, quick change, or something." Nora said as she was practically unable to sit still in anticipation and dread.
Baring closer, one of Jonah's crew stands with a turret, firing toward him. Looking around for anything that could help him escape, Stinkfly spots a hanging branch nearby. He spits a streak of goo, managing to hit it as the ship is about to hit him, he slurps onto the goo, projecting himself up to safety, as the driftwood is blasted into bits after being hit by the boat.
"Oh thank god," Saphron sighed in relief once more. "I don't know how much more of this I can take."
"He's not out of the woods just yet." Qrow reminded.
"Literally, at this point." Tai added.
Glynda sighed. "Not the time, Tai."
Tai raised his hand up. "Hey, just easing some of the tension.
Jonah searches around the area with the spotlight, unable to find Stinkfly as he hides in the tree. But suddenly, Jonah spots a fin in the water nearby. "It's getting too crowded around here." Jonah said as he pointed at Shaw. "Dump the trash overboard."
"They're leaving him to die?" Penny asked with wide eyes and a horrified look.
"It looks to be so." Winter said.
"Not if Jaune has anything to say about it!" Yang said with a fierce look.
Stinkfly watches as they throw Captain Shaw overboard into the waters as Jonah and his crew boat away. Stinkfly quickly hovers over to Shaw and grabs him before he sinks. And after seeing they were gone, Stinkfly then flies to the nearest spot of land he could find. Stinkfly continues to make his way over to land. "Almost there!" Stinkfly says as he gets closer to the Rust Bucket. But the emblem on Stinkfly's head begins to flash red and sounds an alert. "Aw, not again..." Stinkfly groans.
"Aw, again!" Nora exclaims.
"Y'know, that sound is really starting to get on my nerves." Sun muttered.
"You aren't the only one." Ilia said in agreement with the blonde monkey.
At the Rust Bucket, Cyana was peering through a set of binoculars looking for Jaune.
Sterling stepped out of the RV, walking up to Cyana. "Any sign of Jaune and Shaw?"
"Not yet..." Cyana said as she kept looking for them. But then she heard the sound of Jaune's alien forms wings flattering, as well as the timing out sound, catching both of their attention, looking up at the sky to see Stinkfly, who transforms back into Jaune and begins to scream as he and Shaw fall down. But thankfully, They both landed safely in the Rust Bucket's sun-shade.
"Aw, I hate it when that happens." Jaune groans.
"Right with there, Fearless Leader." Nora said, sitting back on her chair.
The screen changes to the Rust Bucket, Jaune was telling Sterling and Cyana what he saw. "...and the Krakken's nest was full of eggs! No wonder she's been attacking everything, Jonah must be stealing her eggs!" Jaune exclaims.
"And I think I know who Jonah is." Cyana chimed in from her laptop. "I did a little checking on "Friends of Fish" and found out it's not listed on any environmental website. But I did find this," Cyana says as she turns her laptop to the others to show what she found. "Jonah Melville isn't a friend to any kind of wildlife, he travels around the world poaching rare animals. then crates them up, and sells them to private collectors." Cyana explained, showing off several images.
"Horrid man." Kali glared as Ghira put his arm around his wife in order to comfort her.
"That is seriously messed up." Yang said.
"Quite," Pyrrha said with a frowning expression. "Such horrid practices need to be stopped."
"Hopefully now, Jaune and his grandpa will work together on this." Ruby said.
"Crates them up?" Jaune repeated with a thoughtful expression before facepalming himself. "Oh man! I bet that crate, the Krakken took off their boat, had her egg in it!"
"Looks like we were both, a little too hard headed." Sterling admits.
"I'll say..." Qrow mutters.
"You did say." Tai reminded.
"We've got to stop them!" Jaune declares in a serious tone. "They said something about going back to a cannery."
"All this talk doesn't change a thing." Shaw said, sitting up with a determined look. "Mommy or not, that beast is mine." Shaw declares as he heads for the door. "Let's go! I've a spare boat down at the docks."
Penny pouted in disappointment. "I was hoping the Krakken's plight might lead him to help the Jaune, Sterling and Cyana in saving her eggs."
"I guess Shaw's still too obsessed to see the bigger picture." Pyrrha said, sympathetic to Penny's woes.
"He probably wants to take the eggs also." Ren suggested.
"Either way, it's probably best for him not to get involved." Weiss said.
The Arcs exchange glances towards one another as they run out to follow Shaw.
The screen changes to the three on a boat while Shaw gets it ready. Cyana held up her phone. "It'll take a while until the police can get here." Cyana said.
And as Shaw unties the boat, ready to get on, the boat begins to speed off without him. "What're you doing? Get back here!" Shaw demands.
"Sorry, Captain." Jaune apologizes.
"You don't know what you're doing!" Shaw yelled after them. "A monster's a monster, and I know a monster when I see one!" Shaw yells as The boat speeds off, leaving Shaw clenching his fist in anger. He shines a lamp around, seeing a much less glamorous rowboat off to the side of the pier. He takes a long, unbroken glare at it.
"Hopefully, they can stop Jonah and save the Krakken's eggs before Shaw arrives to complicate things." Glynda said.
"We can only be so lucky." Tai sighed.
Meanwhile, the poachers were currently manning a crane, which was pulling up a submarine suit with Jonah inside, holding an egg in his hands as the crane set the submarine down on the dock in front of the rest of his crew. Jonah passes the egg to one of his crew mates, nearly dropping the egg. "Careful!" Jonah said, getting out of the suit. "Or you'll be cleaning up the world's most expensive omelet."
"When Jaune and the others get to you, you'll be the ones mashed into omelets." Yang said with a grin.
The crew mate dumps the egg inside of a cylindrical glass container with another egg inside, before closing the lid. Jonah looks at the eggs through the container. "After we sell these babies to the highest bidder, we'll be kicking back on a beach in the Bahamas." Jonah says with a devious tone as he cradles the eggs.
"Oh, now I really can't wait to see Jaune knock these guys around." Ruby said with an intense stare.
"I agree with you on that, Ruby." Weiss said in support of her partner and leader.
Underneath them, Jaune, Cyana, and Sterling arrive at a ladder entrance of the cannery. Sterling and Cyana begin to climb the ladder while Jaune stays where he was.
"See if you can find the eggs." Jaune whispered.
"What about you?" Cyana asked.
"I'm gonna kick some friends of fish tail!" Jaune quietly declares as he activates the Omnitrix and starts dialing for a specific alien to use. Finally landing on the one he wanted, Jaune smiles and as he pushes against the dial as a flash of green light occurs around him.
"Alright!" Yang said with a look of excitement. "Let's see this guy finally!"
His whole arm was suddenly wrapped in scales as his hand flexed out to reveal four clawed fingers with webbing attached in between them. Then a lure suddenly sprouted out from his head as Jaune grew gills on his neck and his jaws expanded so that his sharp teeth could be seen. His eyes opened to reveal a silvery optic as the fish-like man growls anticlimactically.
"Holy hell!" Tai exclaimed in shock, as did most of the audience or just stared on, stunned at the sight of the new alien.
"Geez, that guy is terrifying!" Sun exclaimed.
"Wha-What is that?" Velvet shakily asked, terrified at the sight of Jaune's newest transformation.
"That is Ripjaws." View answers. " DNA sample of a Piscciss Volann, a race hailing from a purely water based world named Piscciss."
"Looks terrifying." Coco commented, lowering her shades down to get a good look at the alien.
"I think it looks pretty cool." Yang said with an impressed look.
Weiss turned to her teammate with a raised brow. "Really?"
"Hell yeah!" Yang said with an excited tone. "Look at the teeth on that monster. Looks like it can munch metal!"
"Yeah!" Nora joined in with her fellow brawler. "Let's see those poachers try and get through those jaws!"
The rest of Team RWBY and JNPR sighed at their powerhouses eagerness, but did agree with them wanting to see this new form take on the poachers.
As he finished transforming, he was suddenly knocked off the boat by the Krakken as it launched itself up, smashing through the pier, screeching at the poachers.
"Whoa! That thing is quick!" Sun exclaims.
"How did it get there so fast?" Ironwood asks.
A chuckle could then be heard from Kali. "A mother's love tends to be a lot..ruthless." Kali answers with a too sweet smile.
"Right." Saphron said with the same exact smile, as did Terra while the rest of the audience, expect for Tai and Ghira, watch with slightly nervous looks.
But instead of being scared, Jonah grins at the Krakken. "The bigger the Krakken, the bigger the payday." Jonah said as he ran for the submarine pod, as his crewmate opened fire on the Krakken as it approached its eggs.
"And apparently, in your case, the bigger fool." Winter mutters.
"Greed is often than not, one of the most blinding things." Ozpin says.
"Kinda like Shaw." Tai said. "He's also obsessed with the creature."
"Jonah's and Shaw's obsession are alike." Ironwood compared as they continued watching.
One guard runs off inside the building, while another stays, firing shots that bounce off the Krakken's skin. The Krakken smacks aside the gunner and went for the eggs, but Jonah snatches the eggs through the crane operated sub before they can be reached.
The Krakken attempted to snatch at Jonah, only to miss as he smugly got away from the creature, firing at it as well.
Ripjaws swam through the waters with his own tail as he suddenly leapt out the lake and onto Jonah's machine's window, blocking his view. "You want to mess with a monster?" Ripjaws poke with a gravelly tone as he glares at Jonah. "Try me on for size."
Yang grinned at this. "Oh this is gonna be good."
Ripjaws climbs down to the machine's grapple holding the eggs as Jonah moves to fire at the fish alien. But Ripjaws responds by biting the gunner's arm off, much to Jonah's frustration. The eggs get dropped down below and Ripjaws quickly dives after them.
"Whoa! Nice!" Sun said with wide eyes.
"He just ate that like it was nothing!" Ironwood said, impressed.
"He's here to chew metal and kick ass!" Nora yelled out in excitement.
"I can see why Jaune wanted to transform into him before." Pyrrha said, amazed by this alien's ability and sheer strength.
Managing to catch them mid air, only to get punched by Jonah, causing the eggs to hit the floor and break out of their containers, landing on the dock below, rolling onto a plank that was hanging off the edge of the dock.
Meanwhile, Sterling and Cyana sneak inside the cannery, coming to a corner where a FoF member was grabbing a nearby weapon. Sterling turns to Cyana and tries to communicate through hand signals.
Nora groans. "I wish I knew what he was...hand signaling."
"Hmm, perhaps we should learn them for whenever we're out against the White Fang or other criminals." Ren suggested. "It could prove useful."
"That's not a bad idea, Ren." Blake complimented.
Below the cannery, one of Jonah's crew mates who had been knocked away, swam towards the ladder, climbing all the way up to be greeted by Sterling and Cyana in front of him, quickly aiming his gun at them.
"All right, buddy. We can do this the easy way, or the hardy way." Sterling said as he pounded his fists together while Cyana hid behind him.
Yang grins. "Oh, grandpa Sterling is about to fu-"
"Do not even attempt to finish that, Miss Xiao Long." Glynda said in a very stern tone.
Yang looked a little sheepish at this. "Uh, right, sorry Prof."
The crewmate just smiles in amusement at the threat as he walks towards the two, causing them to back up. But suddenly, the side wall behind him breaks apart, with the Krakken's fin coming through.
"Cool!" Ruby said in amazement.
"Smart move." Tai complimented. "Must've known it was coming somehow."
Sterling looked up at the ceiling. "Go high!" Sterling said to Cyana as they quickly jumped onto the cannery's hooks, the fin of the Krakken completely destroying the floor beneath them as the crew member fell back down to the waters.
Out the corner runs the other crew mate, who is immediately knocked down by Sterling and Cyana kicking him down as they jump off the hooks.
"Is this the easy way, or the hard way?" Cyana asks, only getting a shrug and a smile from her grandfather.
"Still alive isn't he?" Qrow said.
Back outside, Jonah, Ripjaws, and the Krakken all head for the eggs, but the Krakken scoops them up first.
"My eggs!" Jonah exclaimed as he headed for the Krakken, with Ripjaws hanging onto the suit.
"Like hell they are!" Coco snaps.
"They aren't your eggs." Ripjaws said as he dives into the water with the eggs, Jonah detaches falling directly onto him, diving down into the water.
"Rescuing babies? Very heroic, but not very smart." Jonah remarks as he starts to beat Ripjaws up.
"Still worth more than you or any of the rest of your men." Pyrrha scowled.
"Yeah!" Nora joined in support of her friend's words. "Rip-Jaune is gonna eat you up!"
Ren placed a hand on Nora's shoulder. "Let's not take it too far."
With Ripjaws down for the moment, Jonah quickly scoops the eggs. shaking off the beating, Jaune shoots towards the escaping Jonah. Ripjaws latched onto the suit with his hand before he could escape. But Jonah punches him away. Ripjaws swam in front to try and pry the eggs off from him, resting them in his mouth while fighting him off.
"Hoping he doesn't accidentally eat them in the process." Weiss says as she watches the fight intensely.
"Jaune wouldn't do that." Ruby said.
"Well, maybe Blake would." Yang shrugs, earning an elbow pump from the Cat Faunus.
But suddenly The Krakken joins in and knocks Ripjaws aside, grabbing onto the eggs and swimming away, as Jonah gives chase with Ripjaws following after them.
"And The mama makes a return." Coco remarks. "As if things weren't hectic enough.
Jonah fires a sonic attack at the Krakken, causing it to reel in pain as Jonah quickly scoops the eggs from the creature. But Ripjaws landed on the front of the suit, causing him to slam onto the ground and smashing a nearby sunken ship. But was in Jonah's favor as he had Ripjaws by the throat. Struggling in his grip, Ripjaws grabs an anchor nearby and uses it to hit Jonah, quickly hooking his body around the robotic arm in an attempt to pull it off. Jonah grits his teeth as he shocks Ripjaws off him and tries to swim away.
Jaune looked down at the chained anchor and began to swing it around, sending it flying at Jonah, tearing off the arm that was holding the eggs. He yanked the chain, which was caught into the mouth of the Krakken. Ripjaws continued to chase after Jonah, briefly being swatted by the creatures tail as the eggs ended up in Ripjaw's mouth.
The Krakken began to chase after Ripjaws for the eggs, eventually arriving at an open area along the seafloor. Ripjaws gently places the eggs down in front of it, allowing the creature to take their eggs back, which it gladly accepts.
Velvet sighs in relief. "Oh thank goodness. That's that taken care of."
"I wouldn't relax just yet, Bun-Bun." Coco said.
"Miss Adel is correct." Ozpin said. "There is still Jonah left to deal with."
But Jonah was speeding towards them, narrowing on the eggs, but he was noticed and grabbed by the Krakken's tendrils, crushing the submarine around him as it filled with water. Jonah was pulled out of the suit, leaving him completely exposed.
"Well without his little suit, he's a much easier target to take down." Yang said, relaxing in her chair.
"Besides, he isn't stupid enough to try anything now." Weiss said.
But Jonah wouldn't stop, as he pulled a knife and tried to stab the Krakken, only for the knife to break apart from the force, no harm coming to the Krakken at all.
"You dumbass." Qrow says, shaking his head in annoyance at Jonah's foolish actions.
"Huh, guess you were wrong Weiss." Ruby comments.
"I guess so." Weiss says in slight irritation, but didn't want to see a man get eaten before her eyes.
Jonah pauses in fear as the Krakken roars, opening its jaw and ready to eat him. But before does, Ripjaws suddenly puts himself between the two.
The Krakken, seemingly understanding, swims away to go back and nurture its eggs.
"Wow, for a moment there, I thought he was gonna eat that guy." Sun said.
"You and me both." Blake said in agreement of her fellow faunus.
"Nice to see Jaune is still noble enough to not let anyone die." Pyrrha smiled.
Ruby nodded. "Yeah, even if the guy is a criminal."
Ripjaws turns and glares at Jonah, who gives a shrug, only for Ripjaws to punch him in the face.
"Ha!" Yang laughed. "Take that jerk!"
Back on the surface, Ripjaws hangs Jonah up on some debris."Hang here for a while, until the police find a nice, dry cell for ya." Ripjaws said as he swam away just as a police boat was arriving, all the while Sterling and Cyana watched from the lakeside.
"Ha, 'good riddance to bad rubbish'." Sterling comments.
"Couldn't agree with you more, buddy." Tai said.
"Got one!" The eager voice of Captain Shaw caught their attention as he rowed up towards them. "I finally got me a Krakken! One of the eggs must've hatched." Shaw exclaimed with glee as the catch revealed itself to be Ripjaws hanging upside down. "Imagine this trophy mounted on my wall."
"Wha...How!?" Weiss exclaims.
"I guess Shaw got the drop on Jaune." Ren said while smirking.
Pyrrha and Velvet couldn't help but giggle at the sight of Jaune in the net.
"Well, he certainly is a catch." Yang jokes.
Tai would've normally laughed, but didn't like that it involved a boy that his daughter was seemingly having a crush on. Or at least she hoped she wasn't for his sake.
Thankfully for Jaune, the timer began to set off as Sterling chuckles as the watch timed out. "Heh, I think your 'catch of the day' isn't exactly as advertised."
Confused, Shaw holds up a lamp to the net, only to see Jaune instead of the creature with a smirk on his face.
Shaw shook his head in disbelief at this as he took off his hat. "But I could've sworn..."
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the ocean, The Krakken howls, sitting on the lake floor with her eggs cradled and the screen fades to black.
"Aw." Velvet smiled. "It's actually kinda sweet."
"Yeah, it kinda was." Ruby smiles as the light comes back into the room.
"Plus it was awesome seeing another one of Jaune's ten aliens." Nora said with an eager grin.
Ozpin nodded in agreement with his students. "Quite." Ozpin said. "I believe that makes eight aliens so far."
"So two more to go." Tai said.
"Great!" Sun said with a grin. "Can't wait to see what they turn out to be."
Yang then playfully nudged Blake. "Hope this doesn't give you any ideas of hunting any like what we see there, partner."
Blake rolled her eyes. "After seeing what happened on screen, I wouldn't risk it."
"Hmm," Weiss hums as she looks at Blake with a raised brow. "I doubt that." Weiss said with a small smirk, causing the cat Faunus to groan while her teammates and friends chuckle at her plight.
Thanks for reading this chapter of Worlds of Arc
It took a long while to update because I was not only working on this chapter, but on the rest of the other remaining chapters. The only thing left to do with them is fill in the reactions and spell check them. Then I should be finished.
I also wanna point out that it's only a few days until the anniversary of when I posted the first chapter to Worlds of Arc, fives years ago. Man, how time goes by. I was kind hoping to get it finished by then. But hey, I still got time to do the rest before the year ends.
I know I said before that when it came to Ben 10 episodes, I would only do the important ones from the first season. But I felt like I had to include this one due to how it showcases Ripjaw's ability. Ripjaws I feel is an underrated alien and doesn't nearly get enough attention.
I should point out that from this point forward, any requests you may have will not feature in this story I'm afraid. You are free to request anything for the potential sequel, but don't expect to see any of it here.
Next chapter will once again return back to Spider-Man. Where Jaune sees what his mentor Ozpin has created, much to his concern, a breakout at a supermax prison, which leads to disastrous results that will horrify Spider-Man, and even the audience once they learn who is behind this and what it leads to. Thanks and see you around!
