First up, thanks for viewing the first chapter! And Jebest4781, thanks for the reviews since the last story! It's really a treat seeing you come over to the reboot too! Oh, and to indicate who's speaking what language (since SJW can't speak Japanese) I'll italicize the Korean part of the dialogues! Anyways, dear Readers, hope you enjoy this chapter too!

Chapter 2: Not Even A Fight

"How are you here, Oppa!?" shouted Jinah, in utter confusion.

"Let's talk about it when we get out of here, alright?" Jinwoo said, reassuringly.

"And how did you even get me!?"

"Later!"

And in a blink of an eye, her brother was already in front of the wyvern!

So fast! Jinah thought. He better have a good explanation for me…

"Jinah-chan!" shouted a voice from behind her.

Jinah looked behind her and saw the approaching figure of her classmate, Tomochika, running to her.

"Tomochika-san?!" Jinah shouted back. "I thought you went in the forest!"

"I was about to. Jinah-chan, who was that guy?"

"My brother."

"He looks so cool…"

"He is," Jinah smiled as she said so.

"Is he an alien?" Tomochika suddenly asked. "I mean he jumped high enough to catch you and he's already over-"

"No," Jinah shook her with a blank face. "He is human… I think he is…"

With the question in the air, the two girls gazed at the developing battle between the dragon and Jinah's brother.

The wyvern stared intensely to its left. Just a moment ago it had its prey in its mouth, the delicious smell of blood of its previous victim freshly coating its breath just adding to the excitement. Then suddenly, when it closed its mouth, the human was gone. It angrily turned about, looking for the one who had stolen its prey. To its left, it saw another human hugging the prey…

No.

That was no human. It was immediately apparent as soon as this being met the reptile's gaze. With its supernatural vision and perception, the wyvern could tell that the being next to its prey was no human. Their aura was immeasurable compared to the relatively puny abilities of itself. That… thing was something else.

A being of pure darkness behind their human facade, with abilities of a predator superior to anything it had seen in its long life.

Something terrifying.

Jinwoo stood in front of the towering creature. Normally, if he was in this kind of situation he would have summoned a house-sized spear to pierce the creature, quickly taking care of the situation. The creature in front of him couldn't compare to a dragon from his world. However:

"That could release enough mana to make me detectable…" Jinwoo muttered to himself.

Not to state the obvious, but this was not his world. If he were to use magic, what if the rulers of this world detect him? The risk of them being malevolent entities was too great, the abduction of a bus full of kids being a prime example. He needed to make this quick too since, as a being of pure mana, if he stayed too long he'd be more detectable.

His existence, along with the mere act of summoning a weapon could be too risky. A mana-less solution would be best. And he already had the best thing for the job.

Jinwoo cracked his knuckles and dashed towards the wyvern. When Jinwoo leaped, the dragon attempted to swat him with its tail.

Too slow.

This beast almost killed his sister, mercy was not an option.

The tail couldn't reach him before he obliterated the wyvern's lower jaw.

"GAAAAAAAWGH!" it gurgled. Blood and spit poured like a waterfall out of its mouth, its throat totally exposed. It breathed fire, as if in a futile attempt to show off its dwindling power.

Jinwoo dodged the fire, and dashed mid-air towards the head of the pitiful wyvern. With a single punch the entire skull was obliterated. He didn't even punch that hard.

The wyvern collapsed to the ground, making a loud boom akin to a building falling on its side. All the bone and brain matter scattered far into the plains, coating the grass and flowers in a faint shade of red. Blood pooled from the mutilated head of the reptile.

Jinwoo landed on the ground and… appeared right behind his sister.

"Hey."

"Kyah!" Tomochika shrieked.

"Yaah! Oppa, how the- never mind," said Jinah, resignedly.

"Who's the girl next to you?" When he was on the ground, he noticed a new companion next to his sister.

"A friend," said Jin-ah.

He nodded. He then pulled out a green stone from his jacket and put each of his arms around the two girls. Tomochika's face turned red and uttered a short "Huh!?"

"Oppa, what are you doing?"

"Bringing you guys back home."

"What!? You can do that!?"

"What are you guys saying?" Tomochika questioned.

"We are going home!" Jinah exclaimed, eyes wide open. "Japan!"

As the stone charged up, Jinwoo felt a sudden chill, like some ice had been slipped down his back.

Thankfully, the chill only lasted for an instant. About the amount of time it took them to return back to Japan.

"Oppa? Are you alright?"

Jinwoo turned to his sister. Her eyebrows were raised nervously. He could sense that she was concerned. She must have seen his unease on his face.

Jinwoo deeply inhaled and exhaled, trying to calm himself. He felt the warmth starting to return to body and sensation returning to his fingers.

"Yeah I'm good," Jinwoo grinned reassuringly. He couldn't tell her yet.

That they'd been seen by someone. Someone powerful.

"Um," Tomochika piped in, "sorry if I'm interrupting, but could you explain why we're surrounded by a bunch of cars and guys in suits?"

UNKNOWN LOCATION

Sage Sion sat on her bed, holding a saucer and a teacup filled with an unspecified type of tea.

Knock, knock.

"Come in."

"Sion? Oh, you're here."

Accompanying the sound of her bedroom door creaking open was her Sage assistant Yuichi. Sion saw him with a raised eyebrow on his otherwise poker face.

"I thought you were going to the beach on the edge of the continent today."

"I have already done so."

"Ah."

Both stayed in silence for quite a time. Yuichi shuffled a bit, thinking of a way to lift Sion's spirit a little bit.

"Want me to cook you something?"

"Interesting," Sion responded as she lifted her face off the bed. "So you can cook."

"Not much. Only simple meals that I made while living alone. Any preferences?"

"..I would like you to cook me whatever you want."

"Oh. Alright then, I'll call you when I'm finished."

Yuichi left the door open as he walked downstairs to the kitchen area. As he walked, one thing that started to worry him was the state of the kitchen after it'd been in disuse for years. Since Sages didn't need to eat nor drink, the kitchen was pretty useless. He would probably need to clean the whole area before he could even begin cooking, though the time it would take would be shortened with his abilities that the System granted him.

"Well, as long as it makes Sion better…" Youichi said to himself, getting closer to the kitchen every second.

While Yuichi set out to clean the kitchen, Sion started to think about the Sage Candidates. When she had installed the System into the students, she felt some promising Candidates. So naturally, since over an hour had passed since then, she was quite curious as to how they were doing.

I will ask Youichi for a report after this, Sion thought.

Sion sat quietly on her bed, sipping her tea, waiting for Yuichi. If one unfamiliar with her had watched this scene, they would have thought that it was a scene out of a Renaissance painting and her to be a perfectly elegant woman, her beauty furthering that notion.

Thanks for reading, everyone. I guess the hardest part about writing this would be thinking about the future, like finding a way to make Sion and SJW go into conflict with each other. Maybe he gets found out on a return trip after Jinah convinces him to meet her classmates or gets caught by some other Sage and ends up killing them? Gotta think about it. Suggestions will be appreciated. Anyways, until next time...!
